Title: Pippin Was...

Pairing: Pippin?

Rating: G/PG

Disclaimer: I do not own. At all. I own a cat. But she's technically my sister's, so...yeah. I got nothing.

Warnings: The pairing is...odd. And random as all hell.

Pippin was not a warrior. He wasn't much more than a child, even in the eyes of Hobbits.

Merry. Merry was a warrior. Merry had a strong, courageous heart. He protected Pippin. Pippin didn't protect him.

Frodo and Sam were above fighting. They had bravery on a level that Pippin had only heard in tall tales and songs. Pippin was not above or below fighting.

Gimli was always read to fight. He, too, was a warrior. He also enjoyed have fun, which Pippin could relate to, but he couldn't relate to the dwarf. He was still not a warrior. And warriors have a different kind of fun.

Aragorn...he was a king. Pippin was not a king.

Gandalf was powerful. He had a power that Pippin would never understand. Pippin was not powerful.

Legolas was graceful, strong, and wise. Pippin tripped over his own feet and could only carry a small blade. Pippin wasnot extremelywise.

Boromir was--had been ambitious. Pippin was not ambitious. He was content to sit at a table in an inn with a half-pint, singing songs and telling stories.

Pippin was the youngest in the Fellowship. Pippin was sweet and loyal. He was clever enough to keep himself out of trouble...and cunning enough to get into it.

Pippin had saved his life. Pippin had talked to him away from the healers and listened to him. He had hugged him and told him stories and sang to him. Before he'd left, he'd leaned forward awkwardly (for Pipping was also very small) and kissed him.

To Faramir, Pipping was perfect.

The End.

Quite the random pairing. You don't see it too often. Which sucks.
