The next day Tina's POV:

It was 7:30 am when my alarm went off. I got up and got dressed. I put on a light blue V-neck shirt with dark blue shorts along with my black and white high top converses. I then brushed my hair which is now past my shoulders. After I had breakfast I went to brush my teeth and got my backpack and walked to school with Gene and Louise.

At 7:45 am I arrived at school, I walked towards Susmita who was by her locker. I caught her up on what happened at lunch and she pulled me into a hug. We made plans to hang out at lunch and walked to english.

Susmita and I walked into english class and took our seats. She has become a close friend over the years since we met in 8th grade. She always vents to me and I try my best to help her even though sometimes I suck at that.

Zeke POV

I walked into english class and saw Tina and Susmita talking. Tina saw me walk in and waved at me. I waved back. I had so much fun with Tina yesterday, I couldn't wait to take her to prom. I just got to ask for the day off since I work that day. I get paid the day before so with that money I can take her somewhere nice. I'm going to ask my cousin Leslie if he has a tux that I can borrow. I got less than two weeks to figure everything out.

I got a text from J-ju saying " ditching 1st with Emma we're going to get some food. I don't feel like going to english that class is boring" I replied " Have fun I guess? Talk to you later J-ju" So Yesterday after I got home J-ju texted me asking me why I disappeared at lunch, I told him that I wasn't feeling good. Deep down I was a little mad at him for what happened yesterday and how he's treated Tina over the years. She liked him and he would only pay attention to her sometimes. It was hard for me to watch Tina suffer like that because I like her for real and I would treat her right. I believed in the " guy code". Even though she liked my best friend I never told her to stop going after him, instead I just hoped that maybe one day she would have a crush on me.

Lunch time No one's POV:

Tina and Susmita walked to the cafeteria and got their lunches and sat at a table near the door that leads outside.

"So how was it like hanging out with Zeke after school yesterday?" Susmita asked Tina.

" It was nice we went to get some tacos and then to the aquarium, he bought me a keychain" Tina replied.

Tina then opens her backpack and shows Susmita the keychain Zeke bought for her. " Wow, it's so cute, I love it," Susmita said.

" I know right when he gave it to me he told me that it was a souvenir to remember that afternoon" Tina replied.

. " He probably likes you," Susmita said.

" What? No you're lying" Tina said with an eyebrow raised.

" Then why would he ask you to hang out with him and then give you a keychain?" Susmita replied.

. " I don't know," Tina replied.

" Well if what I'm saying is true, you should give him a chance, he's a nice guy," Susmita said.

" Ok well changing the subject, do you want to go to the mall after school to go prom dress shopping?" Susmita asked.

"Ya sure I'll just have to ask Gene to cover for me, get some money that I have saved up and then I'll meet you at the mall" Tina replied.

" I'll just pick you up, I also have to go home and get my money because I left it at home" Susmita said.

*Bells rings*

" That's the five minute bell, we gotta get to class" Tina said as she and Susmita were walking to the trashcan to throw away their lunches.

" I have to go to my locker to get my notebook for Spanish class then I'll meet in class" Tina said.

" Ok I'll see you in class," Susmita replied.

Tina was at her locker when Zeke walked up to her.

" Hey T-bird what's up how's your day going".

" Good, what about you?". Good too Zeke replied.

" I forgot to tell you thank you for the keychain, I loved it" Tina said.

. "Ya your welcome, I'm happy that you loved it" Zeke replied smiling and blushing a bit.

Tina noticed that he was smiling but didn't notice that he was blushing. " I have to get to Spanish class so I'll talk to you later ya?" Tina said.

" Ok ya I'll see you later T-bird" Zeke replied.

Tina closed her locker and she looked over and saw that Zeke was walking in the opposite direction.

After School Tina POV

I went to my locker to put some books away.

" Hey Tina ready to walk home?" Gene said walking up to me.

" Ya where's Alex?"

" His mom came to pick him up," Gene replied.

"Hey, can I ask you a favor?"

" Ya sure what's up T?" Gene said.

" Do you think that you can cover for me at the restaurant because I'm going to go prom dress shopping with Susmita"

"Ya it's no problem" Gene replied.

20 minutes later we got home and I went upstairs and told Louise what my plans were. She just told me to have fun and not to get home too late. I went into my room and got my wallet. Something about me I'm not the type of girl who wears 20 pounds of makeup, gets their nails done and cares much for expensive clothes or shoes. Instead I'm the type of girl who doesn't really wear makeup , only for special occasions and I don't get my nails done, I paint them sometimes. Also I wear whatever I want not caring how much it costs or what brand it is. Anyways I just got a text from Susmita that she would be coming in 15 minutes. I leave my room and start walking downstairs.

Almost 15 minutes later Susmita was outside waiting for me. I get in her car and we drive to the mall.

No ones POV

Tina and Susmita walk inside the mall and go into this store called Let it Glam. " Let It Glam" is a store that sells dresses that are mostly for Homecomings, Prom, Quinceaneras and other formal events for half the price of department stores like Macy's. The Prom theme is masquerade so let's hope that we can find some dresses that might fit that theme. Susmita told me when we walked into the store.

Tina POV

Susmita and I walked around the store and looked around when she walked up to me holding a strapless purple dress just above the knee, a little poofy at the bottom and a purple lace bow on the right side just above the hip.

"Here try this on I think that it might look good on you' Susmita said

" Wow it's so pretty," I reply as I walk over to a changing room.

"Wow you look great" Susmita said with a smile on her face.

"You think so?" I said with an eyebrow raised.

"Ya i love the color" She replied.

" Well it's ok. But I think that I'm going to look at more, " I said.

" Ok I'm going to change into my normal clothes"

A few minutes later I step out of the dressing room and hand Susmita the dress, asking her to hold on to it. An hour later Susmita already had her dress picked out, it was a long golden spaghetti strap dress that was long, and glittery. Mine was a dark blue off the shoulder knee made with silk material and a layer of lace on top. We paid for our dresses and made our way to a store called "Party Central" to look for masks. After half an hour we had our masks, Susmita's is a sequined gold mask that ties at the back and mine is blue with glitter designs.

It was almost 7:00 pm when I got home. " Thanks for the ride home, I had fun today so I'll see you tomorrow at school" I said.

" Ya of course," Susmita replied.

" Bye" we both said at the same time before she drove off. I got my keys out from my purse and went inside and straight to my room to put my dress in my closet.

" Hey T how was prom dress shopping with Susmita" Louise said while she went to sit on my bed.

" It was nice, I had fun and we got some really pretty dresses and masks," I replied.

" That's good oh and by the way Zeke said that work wasn't the same without you and that he hopes you're at work tomorrow" Louise said.

" Oh ok well I'll be at work tomorrow for sure " I replied.

"Good and we saved you some dinner in case you're hungry" Louise said.

" Thank You but I already ate something" I said.

Louise walked out of my room and made her way to her room. After she left I went into my closet and opened the bag that my dress was in. I stared at it for a minute and thought to myself: Only 12 days until Prom, I'm so happy that I get to go especially with a date. If Susmita is right about Zeke liking me I'll get to know him more first then maybe give him a chance.

The next chapter will take place the day before Prom. I will try to write and upload the next chapter as soon as possible. I hope that you enjoy and review it :)
