I'm Here!

Hinata finally got Himawari at a safe distance with the rest of the civilian crowd.

"Hinata," Sakura ran up to the mother and daughter.

"Sakura," Hinata gently pushed Himawari to her friend, "Can you please check if Himawari's hurt?"

"Of course," Sakura knelt down to Himawari, "Okay, Himawari are you hurt anywhere?"

Himawari started showing Sakura where she had some cuts and bruises. The medic began to treat her. When she saw her youngest child being treated, Hinata looked back towards the stadium. She was still worried about the rest of her family.

"Byakugan," Hinata activated her Dojutsu and looked through the walls to find her husband and son. She immediately found Boruto. He was standing a distance away from the attacker. The attacker was fighting someone. It wasn't Naruto; it was that girl. The one who saved Himawari from the falling debris.

Now she was protecting Boruto.

Hinata became confused and curios. She was grateful to this girl, but why was she risking her life for her family? Who was she?

She was fighting with key like swords. She was very fast, keeping up with the man. Then she threw both swords, but when she shot forward with her bare hands. It was in the stance of the Gentle Fist.

Hinata's eyes widened. She saw her chakra network. The girl did have her chakra ready for the sixty-four palms strike. But her eyes were circulating, just like the Byakugan. Hinata had never heard of a member of their clan learning the sword. It's not that it was forbidden, but their taijustu made their hands sharper than any blade.

But Hinata knew the chakra of an activated Byakugan when she saw it. This girl definitely had it!

Before she could think about it more. The man attacked. He didn't attack the girl; he shot a fire jutsu past her toward Boruto!

"Boruto!" Hinata cried out. Her son was about to die, and she couldn't get to him.

Then the girl appeared next to him. She grabbed him and pulled him out of the way. The landed on the ground safely.

Hinata released a sigh of relief, but know she really wanted to know who this girl was.

"Who are you?" Hinata focused on the girl. She used her Byakugan to look closer, and under the cover of her hood at her face.

She felt her hands began to tremble, causing her Keyblade to shake.

No, no calm down! Kairi couldn't get nervous now, not when she had an enemy to fight. But she couldn't focus, her father was right there, talking to her.

He walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. She looked to see; it was his bandaged hand.

"You did a great job," Naruto praised as he walked past her towards the intruder, "Now, I'll take it from here."

Kairi was breathing heavily. What was wrong with her? He gave her a compliment, but he complimented her as a stranger, not his daughter. Why was she so happy? Why was this affecting her so much?

She watched as his tall form walked in front of her, between them and the attacker. Kairi looked at him; at his tall form, the white cape that said "Seventh Hokage" on the back, how he stood, his stance full of strength and determination.

But Kairi didn't want to see his back. She wanted to see his face, she wanted him to look at her.

Kairi opened her mouth to speak, but all words evaporated on her tongue. She had so many things she wanted to say but didn't know which one to start with.

Dad, it's me! Dad, I'm right here! Dad, I'm alive! Dad, I'm sorry! Dad, I missed you! Dad, I love you! Dad, please look at me! DAD!

Kairi was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard a loud bang. She looked to see Sarada was being attacked by the other intruder. However, a man had her in his embrace and was dodging every attack. Kairi mentally kicked herself; how could she forget the other one?

"Both of you with your children," the intruder in front of them said.

Kairi stiffened when he said "children." Did he figure her out? He raised his left hand, like the right one it had a hand in the center. Naruto and Kairi braced for an attack.

However, his shadow suddenly climbed over him. Stopping him. Kairi looked at his shadow and saw that it was stretching across the arena. She followed it to someone in the stand.

Uncle Shikamaru? Kairi recognized. She also saw the shadow had covered the other attacker, saving Sarada and the man.

A shadow just saved Kairi's life. That's the first time that ever happened.

Allowing them to jump over to Naruto and his children. Kairi was relieved that Sarada was okay.

"Boruto, are you alright?" Sarada asked.

"Yeah, glad you're safe."

Sasuke looked at the hooded girl. He noticed her fighting earlier, but he had to focus on protecting Sarada. Now that he had a moment, he looked her over. She was small and they couldn't see her face because of the hood and sunglasses. He did see glimpses of her fighting. She fought like a Hyuga, but that wasn't what drew his attention. It was the weapon she was currently holding. Just like the weapons at the graveyard, Luxu, and what the scroll described.

Sasuke didn't have time to talk to her about it. So, far she fought the Otsutsuki, so at the moment he was willing to trust her.

Kairi looked at the man in the dark cape. Who was this guy? And why did Kairi feel irritated looking at him?

Sarada looked at the hooded girl, "Who's she?"

Kairi stiffened at the question. This wasn't the time for her 'big reveal!' Everyone needed to focus on stopping the invaders! A long lost sister being revealed would make the situation more complicated.

Boruto chocked a bit, "I… She's…"

"How trivial," the enemy said. His other hand glowed, and the shadow was then absorbed. Kairi's Byakugan showed her that the chakra got absorbed and added to his own chakra network. Great, using ninjutsu only gave him more fuel.

"Kinshiki!" The intruder in front of them called.

"Right," the large one now known as Kinshiki obliged floating to his side.

"They're the ones Naruto," Sasuke explained. He came to the arena because the scroll he found had been deciphered. It was only bad luck they had appeared, "That scroll of Kaguya's had an entry about their arrival."

"So, they're the guys she created the White Zetzu to prepare for?" Naruto asked.

Sasuke glanced back at the girl, "They're part of the reason. Their objection is the chakra fruit and the Tailed Beast chakra inside you. They want Kurama."

"You know that much, do you? I am Momoshiki Otsutsuki," the ponytailed intruder introduced. I belong to the same clan as Kaguya."

"And I am his guardian, Kinshiki Otsutsuki."

"What?" Kairi couldn't believe it. The Otsutuki were still alive? Kairi heard about them in history lesson with Merlin. The Otsutsuki were a group of dangerous invaders from another world. The invaded other worlds and bled them dry, killing off the world's population and leaving no survivors. The Keyblade Wielders fought them at every turn. She heard that the Keyblade Masters before her, defeated them all.

Apparently, that wasn't what really happened.

"Just what do you want here?" Naruto demanded.

"Why you of course," Momoshiki said, "You're the one who has the strongest chakra in this entire seed bed."

Kairi looked at her Dad. He had the strongest chakra in the world?

"If we to harvest it we would be able to replant the Divine Tree."

"The Divine Tree?"

"Yes, of course," Momoshiki grinned, "Our mission is to restart Kaguya's work; and to do so we're going to gather the chakra scattered from the chakra fruit, revive the divine tree."

"The Divine Tree," Sasuke recalled, "That legendary tree that was the source of power for Kaguya Otsutsuki. The founder of all Shinobi."

"Kaguya," Sarada began, "Got the chakra fruit from the Divine tree and created shinobi. But then that tree was lost for all eternity. Or so I've heard."

"Legenday? Divine?" The girl finally spoke, "There's nothing divine about it! The Forbidden Blood Tree is a monstrosity. When it grows it places everyone under hypnosis and then absorbs them into its roots! And I mean everyone! Humans, animals, nothing and no one is safe. It's an extinction level threat that reduces any world unlucky enough to have it, to zero!"

"Forbidden Blood Tree?" Momoshiki sneered, "Is that your people's name for it? How unrefined."

"Oh, it fits perfectly," the hooded girl snapped. Actually, they gave it several different names over the centuries: The Blood Yggdrasil, The Death Eye Flower, The Tree of Death. At the moment Forbidden Blood Tree seemed to fit.

"She's right," Naruto said. He didn't know how she knew so much, but she was correct about what the Divine Tree and what it did. Naruto saw it firsthand what it could do.

"And what are you hoping for reviving that legend Otsutsuki?" Sasuke demanded.

"Well isn't it obvious? We shall create pill from all the chakra we shall gather," Momoshiki explained irritably.

"As long as we have the pills," Kinshiki added, "We remain young, immortal, and invincible."

Kairi felt her rage burn. They killed worlds worth of lives… for pills?

"So, it's kinda like medicine then?"

"You catch on quickly. Well you understand just how remarkable these are."

Momoshiki pulled out one pill, "As long as we have these pills. We're able to acquire true power, instantly with no effort whatsoever."

Kairi could barely hear anything as she looked at the small red pill. The only question in her mind was how many people died to make that single pill. How many worlds died, from someone who broke the world order in the worse way? How many worlds died, and the Keyblade Wielders didn't notice?

"You mean, you're just cowards who rely on doping?" Her father snapped, "You're only using tools and drugs as a crutch. That isn't true power at all."

Her father's inquiry just made Kairi's anger grow. Doping! They murdered to have drugs to dope on!

"How many?" Kairi trembled in pure anger, "How many worlds did you kill to make that single pill?"

"Hm…" Momoshiki looked at the pill lazily, "Who cares," then he popped it into his mouth.

Kairi shot forward without thinking, past her father and the dark capped man. She barely heard Boruto shouting at her to stop.

Her eyes trained on Momoshiki. He just swallowed, Kingdom Hearts only knows how many, dead worlds. Just as she was about attack, when Kinshiki appeared in front of him. Kairi tried to block, but she was still sent flying across the arena away from everyone. She saw the world spin around her before she crashed into the ground.

The last thing she saw before blacking out was her sunglasses lying broken on the ground, and her Keyblade clattering next to her before vanishing.

Riku jumped after the intruder with the other two Kage. They landed on the grass.

"How is he able to see through our attacks so easily?" the Mizukage asked.

Riku recognized the veins around the eyes, "It's the Byakugan isn't it?" Riku asked.

"Indeed."

Riku grit his teeth, ever since Kairi got that power, she had been really hard to beat! It didn't take a genius to know he had it longer than Kairi.

"I already know," the fisherman spoke, he looked at the Kazekage, "You're currently using your weapon, your sand, for search and rescue efforts," he looked to the Mizukage, "You left your real weapon at home, and you…" he looked at Riku, "You're not used to fighting someone with chakra."

"So, what's your point?" The Kazekage asked.

"Investigation, my specialty, if you were at full strength, then that would be another matter, but as you are now," he shot his fishhook forward. Riku watched the Kazekage try to block the attack with sand, but the hook just went straight through and hit him.

"See that's what happens when you don't have enough sand."

Luckily, it was only a sand clone he hit. The Kazekage appeared in the air and sent a slash of sand to the fisher man. He dodged, the sand, the Mizukage tried to slash at him but he dodged.

"Thunder," Riku used the thunder spell. But the fisherman summoned sand from his goard and blocked the lightning, before he compressed it into a giant rock and shot it towards Riku and the Mizukage's.

"That's the Kazekage's!"

"I got it," Riku slashed the attack in half. The fishhook went straight to Riku, but the Mizukage got in the way and used his katana to guard, but his sword.

"See, you're real weapon wouldn't have broken so easily, but with that pathetic sword you have now," he taunted.

"He has underestimated us," the Kazekage said.

"Yeah," the Mizukage agreed.

"Young man, what is your name?" the Kazekage asked.

"It's Riku," Riku introduced even though he still had his guard up.

The Kazekage picked up a piece of the rock Riku broke and turned it back into sand, "Riku, could you use that lightning attack again?"

Boruto tried to run to Kairi as she landed across the arena. But Sarada stopped him.

"Boruto we have to stay with them," she struggled as she held him back.

That didn't stop Boruto from trying to get out of Sarada's grasp. Kairi's form had crumbled on the ground, her back facing them. She was there, she was hurt!

"Sarada," Boruto choked, "You don't understand…" He struggled to speak. The shock of seeing his sister hurt was making it hard for Boruto to think straight, "She's… she's…"

"You coward," Naruto snapped. He understood the girl's anger but didn't realize in time to stop her from charging ahead. She protected his son, and he couldn't help her! Naruto needed to stop this and fast.

"You truly are vulgar creatures," Momoshiki scoffed, "Nothing more but fodder for us Otsutsuki," the two invaders began to levitate into the air, "Come Kinshiki."

"Sir."

Momoshiki swallowed another pill, "I'll remake this seed bed and make it beautiful despite these annoyances.

Sakura watched in the distance as loud explosions could be heard from the stadium. She was worried about Sarada, but she knew Sasuke would protect her and so would Naruto. Those men looked a little too much like Kaguya, and Sakura remembered how much of nightmare it was to fight her.

Sakura wanted to help, but she had to watch over Himawari. She thought to earlier, when Hinata looked into the stadium.

While Sakura was healing Himawari. She heard Hinata take in a shaky gasp.

"Hinata?" Sakura looked up to her friend. She saw the building veins of the Byakugan on her face. Concerned Sakura stood up and approached Hinata, "Hinata what's the matter? Did something happen?"

She looked at Hinata's expression. Her eyes were bulging in shock. Hinata couldn't tear her eyes away from whatever she was seeing. Sakura only grew more worried when tears started to spill out of Hinata's eyes.

"Hinata what's wrong? Did something happen to Boruto and Naruto?"

That question finally caught Hinata's attention.

Hinata shook her head, "No… no they're… both fine." Hinata began to wipe away her tears.

"Mommy?" Himawari asked.

Hinata took in a deep breath and crouched to the ground to hug her daughter.

"Himawari I need to go… I have to go back to the stadium."

"What?" Sakura said, "Hinata, that's crazy. If you're worried for Boruto, he'll be fine. Naruto's with him and Sasuke is…"

"It's not just Boruto and Naruto," Hinata snapped as she stood up, she kept looking between Sakura and the stadium, "It… it might be…" Hinata trailed off, almost like she was afraid to speak.

"Hinata, what's the matter?" Something had clearly caught Hinata's attention, but she wasn't telling Sakura anything.

"I… I need to see for myself Sakura," Hinata said determined, "Please, watch Himawari."

Sakura was taken aback. She hadn't seen Hinata this determined in a long time. So, she nodded.

"Thank you," Hinata turned and ran towards the stadium as the sounds of fighting increased.

Sakura wondered what Hinata saw. She always believed in Naruto. What did she see that made her want to go back to the stadium?

From the darkness, Kairi heard noises. Loud bangs, booms, and crashes. Her head was throbbing. What was she doing again?

"Take this and this…" She hears someone in the distance shouting while laughing maniacally.

Finally, her eyes opened when she felt the ground move. How was she supposed to sleep like this? As she managed to sit up, she could barely process anything; her head was hurting and she was too disoriented to focus. Right now all she could see was yellow. Why was everything yellow?

Kairi looked behind her, the source of the noise. She saw a golden figure standing with his back to her. That looked familiar. It looked like…

"Daddy, you're so shiny."

Daddy..? Dad. Dad!

It came back to Kairi. The Boruto, Dad, the Otsutsuki. Kairi looked around, Boruto, where was Boruto?

She realized the yellow she was seeing was some kind of aura that surrounded them. When she looked outside, she saw more aura's and more… Dad's?

That's when Kairi remembered. Duh, her Dad made clones. When she was little and he had to help around the house, her Dad would make clones. It helped with the chores. It always amazed Kairi how her father seemed to duplicate.

The area was in chaos. Fire, lighting, water, earth, everything was going haywire. It would have killed everyone in range if her father hadn't made his clones and set up barriers!

She saw one of aura's was protected by a purple armor. Inside was Boruto, safe, but panicking. Kairi sighed in relief… Wait, where were the Otsutsuki?

"With this it's all over!" Kairi looked up to see her answer. Momoshiki was throwing a giant black orb, of concentrated chakra. If that hit the ground… there'd be no one left. Kairi tried to get up, but her legs gave way in pain. As she fell her hood came off.

Kairi was hurt, she pulled out a mega elixir and downed it as fast as she could.

Suddenly the aura that surrounded Boruto began to expand. It grew and grew, until it was a giant golden, Nine-Tailed fox. Kairi watched at the giant fox reached up and pushed against the black orb. Its tails began to surround it, making another barrier.

Kairi knew what he was going to do. Her father was going to try to contain the explosion. Kairi also knew, it was her real father who was doing it, not a clone. If that went off with him next to it…

Kairi looked to the clone in front of her. She didn't know, if it was telepathically connected to her real Dad. What if it wasn't, what if… she wasted her time, and her Dad would never know she was alive?

Kairi stop running away!

… Kairi got up.

Th-Thump

She shot forward for his arm.

Th-Thump

Her hand paused for a brief second…

Th-Thump

Then, she grabbed his elbow and pulled with all she had.

As the clone was forced to turn around, he spoke as to why she pulled on him, "What are you-…?!"

When he turned fully. When he saw her. When their eyes finally met. Time seemed to freeze. It felt like hours when it must had been only a few seconds. Kairi's hood was off, and her sunglasses were broken. Her face was fully exposed, and she knew, with her birthmarks, her hair color, and eyes, she could be recognized. In those long seconds he saw her, looked at her, his eyes even widened.

Kairi finally took hold of her voice, and spoke, "Dad I'm-…"

*BOOM*

The giant ball of chakra detonated.

A few minutes earlier

"Water style: Giant Vortex," the fisherman was now trapped in the newly made geyser and the Mizukage had him trapped.

"Riku, now!" The Kazekage commanded.

"Thunder," lightning pierced the water, charging it with electricity.

Riku smirked, "That should take care of that."

Suddenly, in a flash he saw the fisherman's eyes change. He couldn't tell for certain since the water was distorting, but his eyes looked even weirder than before. If Riku had to compare it to something, it was a purple onion chopped in half. However, he couldn't check, because the fisherman vanished from his place in the geyser when it was done.

They all looked around, "Where did he go?"

"I'll admit," they looked up to see a black portal in the air. It didn't look like a corridor of darkness. It looked like someone opened a window in space, "That was a regrettable move. No matter, my superiors should be finishing up."

The window vanished, leaving the men behind.

"The Rinnegan," The Kazekage deduced.

"The what?" Riku asked.

"Lord Kazekage, Riku!" The Mizukage shouted. Riku looked towards the arena. Lighting and explosions could be seen coming from the stadium.

Riku panicked when he saw that. No Kairi! Riku sprinted towards the arena as fast as he could.

%%%%%%

Once again, the world spun. Kairi heard the explosion, then all she could heard a high pitch squeal in her ears.

When Kairi could focus again, she realized she was on her back. Looking up at the grey sky… no those weren't clouds, that was smoke from the explosion. Her body was sore again. She sat up slowly. Well, if she was in pain, that meant she was alive. What happened to her Dad's clone?

She vaguely remembered the feel of a body holding her, protecting her from the shockwave… then it was gone. She looked around to see the leveled area she was in. The stadium was gone, all that surrounded her was rubble and land flattened by the explosion.

Once again, she wondered where Boruto was. She activated her Byakugan to locate his chakra. She was relieved when she saw it a good distance away, along with Sarada and the other man. He must have gotten them to safety.

As her hearing started to come back. She heard shouting, the sounds of a fight. She looked towards the sounds. Who was fighting?

Kairi saw the two Otsutsuki. She saw her father on the ground, collapsed, but alive.

"Dad," Kairi panicked. They said they wanted him, she had to help him she had to-…

A scream of pain interrupted Kairi. Someone was fighting them and losing. Kairi's heart stopped when she saw who it was.

On the ground injured was her mother.

"Mom!"

Kairi pulled her hood up and ran.

Kinshiki held his chakra axe. The foolish woman thought she could save the Nine-Tails. Even now she was struggling to stand.

"It's pitiful," Kinshiki raised his axe ready to kill her. Just as he swung it down, someone shot forward and blocked it.

"Made it in time," Riku blocked the giant glowing axe. After putting up a barrier to protect himself from the blast wave, he ran in looking for Kairi. Instead he found Kairi's Mom about to get killed.

"Riku?" Kairi appeared out of the smoke. Good, she was alive, Riku was relieved, but busy.

"Kairi, she's the one you need to worry about," Riku called referring to her mom.

Kairi didn't have time to think. Riku was a Keyblade Master, who could handle them for a few minutes. Kairi reached her mother and quickly moved her to a safer distance. She set her down and ran back to help Riku.

"Another one?" Momoshiki scowled as he saw the new Keyblade Master appear.

Kinshiki jumped back, "Shall we kill them?"

"No," Momoshiki looked to the unconscious Naruto, "We got what we came for, let's just go."

"Oh no you don't," Riku shot towards Momoshiki to save Kairi's father, but Kinshiki stopped him. He appeared in front of him to slam the axe down. Riku had to jump back, but that gave Kinshiki time to grab Naruto, and open a portal.

"No!" Kairi shouted as she watched her father vanish into the portal, before it closed. Kairi slowed into a stop before falling to her knees, "No…"

Riku looked at the crestfallen Kairi. Failure and grief filled him. He just let his friend's father get taken. He ran to her side and placed a hand on her shoulder. He had to fix this, he had to do something, but what?

"Mm…" Kairi looked back when she heard her Mom's moans.

Kairi shot up and ran back to her, she kneeled down to look at her injuries. Her mother's eyes began to open. She looked up to the girl wearing a hood.

"Oh no," she said, "Just hang on, we're… we're going to get help."

Kairi started to stand, "Riku we need to-…"

Kairi was stopped when her hand was grabbed.

Hinata grabbed the girl's hand to keep her from standing, from leaving. The girl's hidden face looked down at her, probably confused. Hinata pulled her arm, to make her lean down. Hinata couldn't sit, but she lifted her upper body as high as she could.

Kairi watched as her mother reached for her hood. Kairi's hands twitched, wanting to stop her advance. To hide, but Kairi forced her hands to remain at her sides. Even when her mother grasped her hood and pushed it off her head.

Hinata's eyes widened when she saw her face. She wasn't sure if her Byakugan was lying to her earlier. Normally she trusted her power with her life. But this time she couldn't be certain. Now, she was looking at the girls face in person.

Red hair. Hair she brushed and braided a long time ago.

Whisker shaped birthmarks. Like her husband, that resembled a cat. That made any cat eared onesie more adorable.

White eyes of Byakugan. The same eyes that looked back at Hinata in the mirror.

Hinata placed a trembling hand on her whisker adorned cheek. She felt, warmth. The gentle warmth of a living body.

Hinata didn't realize she was breathing heavily until she forced herself to take a deep breath. To ask the question, she was so afraid to ask.

"K… Kai… Kairi?" Hinata asked full of disbelief, "Kairi… Is that you?"

She raised her on hand and placed it on Hinata's before answering, "… Yes… Mom… It's me…"

Hinata wondered if this was a dream. But she felt pain shoot through her side, causing her to wince.

"Mom," Kairi got closer to look her over. She activated her Byakugan to see what was wrong.

While Kairi was worried, Hinata… was happy.

A dream wouldn't hurt this bad. At that realization, Hinata's eyes began to fill with tears, not with pain, but joy. Kairi was there… she was there… she was real… she was older… she was beautiful… but more importantly than all that…

She's alive! That was all Hinata could think in that moment. Her daughter, her Kairi, was alive!

Despite all the pain, Hinata forced her arms to wrap around the beautiful young woman that was her daughter and pulled her into a bone crushing.

"Mom?" Kairi squeaked. Hinata buried her face into her daughters red hair.

"Kairi…" Hinata sobbed, "Kairi… my baby… Kairi…" All the self-hatred and grief Hinata felt vanished in that instant. The hole that Hinata had in her heart for over a decade was filled in an instant. Kairi was alive! Her daughter was alive! It was some kind of miracle! She wanted to hold her, hug her, and never let go again!

Kairi heard her mother sobbing as she held her. She felt her bury her head into hair and hold her so tightly. Like she wanted her there; because she did want her there… she wanted her. After all those years, her mother still wanted her.

Kairi felt herself tremble with relief. She felt her own eyes blur with tears. And as best as she could, she hugged her mother back.

However, her mother's hold began to slack, and her hands started to slide off. Kairi panicked and looked down, "Mom?"

Her mother was breathing, she was alive, but unconscious.

*Sniff* I'm not crying! I'm sweating through my eyes!
