Kairi vs Otsutsuki Round 2
In a wasteland devoid of life, silence was the only thing that could be heard. Except in the distance, a scream of pain could be heard. Caused by Naruto Uzumaki.
He was currently secured to a Divine Tree, and his chakra was being extracted by the two Otsutsuki. It indeed hurt, but it wasn't as painful as being ripped away from Kairi yet again.
"So, tell me?" Momoshiki inquired, "How does it feel to be nurturing this nursery I created? It's quite nice isn't it?"
"This Divine Tree was created from someone just like you who harbored a Tailed Beast within him," Kinshiki explained.
There was only one Jinchuriki besides himself, so Naruto knew who they meant instantly.
Old man B!
"And shortly you shall become part of the Divine tree as well," Momoshiki looked at the red energy he was extracting. Looking annoyed, "Such ridiculously enormous chakra. And we've only reached the halfway point."
Naruto screamed, until Momoshiki stopped, not because he was done, but because he was frustrated, "It's taking too long!"
Naruto gasped at the reprieve. He wasn't surprised that an extraction would take a long time. Gaara told him when the Akatsuki took him and extracted Shukaku, it took them three days.
"Sorry about that," Naruto gasped, "You see… it's just that… we ninja… don't like to make things easy, ya know," Momoshiki scowled, "We ninja are different from you. Our abilities took time and hard work to acquire. So, we're not going to give them up, at least not as easy as that."
"So, what will you do?" Momoshiki sneered, "You vulgar creatures train and persevere, endlessly and pointlessly for nothing. Once you become chakra fruit, you're merely fodder," Naruto glowered at him, "Before bringing you here I was able to absorb a large number of jutsu. I wouldn't care to speculate, nor would I care to know the time you spent mastering the ones you possess," he then held up those infuriating pills again, "But with just these pills, we can obtain power greater than yours, greater than the Keyblade's even, effortlessly!"
Naruto realized those pills were just like the scientific ninja tool. He recalled how Boruto looked when he was caught, how ashamed he looked.
"It's just like that scientific ninja tool," Naruto muttered, "I guess… it's all my fault."
"Don't talk to me about Kairi! And if you had only talked to me before this, then I wouldn't have ended up in this damn mess."
"I pushed him," Naruto realized, "That's why he relied on that tool. I treated him just like a little kid. I didn't even acknowledge him at all, and didn't even try to see him for who he is, and that's the reason…"
Momoshiki got tired of his mumbling and started the extraction process again. Naruto began to scream again.
"What are you mumbling about you fool? Just be quiet now, this is still going to take a lot of time.
Despite the pain, Naruto's mind focused on Boruto. How could he forget, he understood what it felt like to be ignored, to crave attention, to be acknowledged for who you were.
Boruto tried to get his attention over and over again. When Boruto claimed he awakened the Byakugan, when he got involved with the incident with Sumire, and of course… Every time he talked about Kairi.
"I'm telling you she's alive," Boruto said, standing in the living room in front of his Dad. It was after the graduation exam, "I passed out, but Kairi managed to reach out to me in my dream. She's alive, she's a teenager, she's trying to find her way home."
By that point Hinata had taken Hima upstairs to her room, so Naruto could talk to his son. He didn't want Hinata to get upset over this again. Naruto looked at his son sympathetically. He understood him, he wanted Kairi back just as bad, but she was gone.
"Boruto," Naruto crouched down to his son's eye level, "Listen, I dreamed about Kairi too. I dreamed about how she was still here. There were times I even thought I saw her when I was awake… but it was never her… it was just another dream!"
Boruto had tried to get acknowledged, not just for himself. He tried to get him to listen, to believe something Naruto was too afraid to believe in again: Kairi was alive. She was alive and she came home on her own.
The whole time, Kairi was right there in front of him! He should have known when he saw her necklace, because he was the one who gave it to her!
Naruto recalled how she fought. How she stood up to Momoshiki and fought him, so well. How she protected Boruto. How she swore to defend those who weren't able to defend themselves. How she fought so much like Neji and yet looked so much like Hinata! How she somehow found him in his inner world and told him she was alive!
When did his little girl, become that strong, brave, beautiful, young woman?
He glared at the Otsutsuki. He wasn't going to die here! He had to go back and find them again! He had to apologize to them both. To Boruto, for not being there. To Kairi, for losing her and giving up on her.
It's only right, that Boruto calls me, "stupid old man."
"Stop mumbling and resisting," Momoshiki said irritated, "Just let us extract your chakra."
Naruto looked at them, "Nope, sorry, there's no way that's gonna happen dude," that caused the Otsutsuki to pause momentarily, so Naruto continued, "I'm wrapping this up quickly, ugh… so that… I can hurry back home… to them…" Boruto and Kairi, "Well, that is… after I defeat you- ugh…" Naruto stopped when he sensed something. So did the Otsutsuki. They looked up into the sky to see a group of people falling towards them.
"Let's do it," Gaara sent a barrage of sand to separate the Otsutsuki from Naruto as well as cut the branch Naruto was tied to, but now he was falling.
Kairi had taken a different approach; she was sliding down the vines of the tree using flowmotion. When she got close, she jumped onto the falling branch, and quickly cut her father free.
"Dad, hold on," Boruto shouted as he and Sasuke got to Naruto and took him aside for safety.
Meanwhile, Riku and the other four Kage's were surrounded the enemy.
"Don't even think of trying to escape," Gaara warned.
Riku was standing on one of the sand platform's the Kazekage made, "You're not getting away with this anymore!"
"Let's get him!" An explosion marked the beginning of the fight.
"Talk to me, Dad," Boruto, Sasuke, and Naruto landed on a root to see if Naruto was alright. Naruto was gasping, trying to pull himself together after being tortured.
"Boruto," Naruto looked up, surprised to see his son there, "W-what are you doing here?" He was even more surprised to him wearing his old jacket, "Why are you wearing that?"
Boruto looked down. He was even wearing Sasuke's headband.
"Many things have happened, Naruto," Sasuke had stood up, to join the fighting, "And well… now he's become a shinobi," Before Sasuke jumped, "By the way, she's here too."
Before Naruto could ask. Someone ran towards them.
"Dad!" Kairi finally reached the root they were on. Kairi felt a little irked that Sasuke could carry her father away and was still faster than her! She ran towards him and Boruto, as she got closer, she took her hood off, to show that it was her. When Kairi reached him, she got to her knees to get a closer look, "Are you okay. We came as fast as we could and- ah!"
Kairi was interrupted when Naruto pulled her into a crushing bear hug. Kairi was frozen from the surprise hug. Her father trembled as he held her.
"Kairi…" Naruto choked out. She was really there. She was alive. It felt like a miracle, "I'm so sorry…"
Kairi looked at him confused, but she wrapped her own arms around him, "I'm the one who needs to apologize, not you."
"I do need to apologize," Naruto said shamefully, "I gave up on you. I believed you were dead. When you were alive the whole time… I looked for you… but I couldn't find you…"
"You couldn't have found me," Kairi knew she was going to get yelled at later, but she needed to give her Dad some peace, "Luxu took me to another world."
"What?" Naruto asked. Boruto looked at her confused as well.
"You heard me," Kairi said, "It wouldn't matter where you looked. I wasn't here," Kairi confirmed. A small explosion caused Kairi to look back. Oh yeah, they were in the middle of a fight, "I-I promise, I'll explain later, but right now," Kairi got up and pulled her hood over her head, "I got a job to do. Besides," Kairi motioned to Boruto, "You two need to talk." With that Kairi summoned her Keyblade and jumped into the fray.
Naruto looked at Boruto, "I feel, like I'm looking at my own shadow clone…"

Sora trekked through… wherever he was with Neji. He noticed there were more dead people. Although most of them were just souls, sparkling stars. Sora looked at Neji, "How come you have a body, and they don't?"
"I don't have a body," Neji turned to look at Sora, "I'm dead, my body is gone."
"I mean, why don't you look like them?" Sora pointed towards the stars. In a flash of light, Neji vanished and in his place was another star.
"You mean like this?" The star spoke in Neji's voice.
"Uh…" Sora was stunned, "I didn't know you could do that."
Neji changed back to his human form, "While we're here we can take on the appearance we did when we were alive. They just choose not to."
Sora wanted to ask why but decided not to. Maybe it was just something only a dead person could understand. Sora sighed he missed being around living people, he missed Kairi. Sora looked at the stars.
He could hear, murmuring.
"Do you think it's a sign of peace that there are not as many ninja as there were before?"
"I can't believe how reliant they are of technology."
"I should have been Hokage!"
"Damn that Nine-Tails!"
"Sasuke, I'm proud of you…"
Sora didn't know if they were talking to each other or themselves.
"We've recently entered the area for our world," Neji spoke.
"We have?" Sora asked, he then looked at the stars, "So these souls are…?"
"Yes, deceased people from my world," Neji confirmed.
"Why did you bring me here?" Sora asked.
"My world has a unique connection with the dead," Neji explained, "There have been times the dead were raised. Perhaps we may find a way here."
Yeah… Perhaps… It was one of those days where it was hard to stay positive. Sora was just plain stuck. What if never got to go home? What if he never got to see his friends again? What if he was separated from Kairi forever? Then he would never tell her how he felt about her.
If you make a promise, that's super duper big. You won't be so scared anymore. Goofy's voice rang into Sora's head. He didn't remember when Goofy said that, but it definitely sounded like him… and it sounded right. Whenever Sora did make a big promise, he didn't feel as scared. When he promised Kairi that he'd go back to her, when he promised to find Riku, and when he promised to find Terra, Ven, and Aqua.
Maybe it was time to make one of those promises. But could he do it here? Sora looked at Neji. Neji was… scary sometimes, but he did promise he wouldn't kill Sora. Although, this was bound to make Neji mad. Sora looked at the other souls, they would hear it too… But they were dead. They weren't going to tell anyone. Who knows, maybe Sora's promise was going to be the most fun they had in years.
Sora made up his mind. He stopped walking for a minute. Neji noticed and stopped a few feet away, "What's the matter?"
Sora looked around. He took in a deep, "Hey everyone, guess what?" Sora shouted, Neji looked at him confused and Sora could tell all the souls were looking at him now, "My name's Sora Hikari! You don't know me, but I have something to say…"

Sasuke fought against Kinshiki. He drew in the giant to attack him. He followed Sasuke to the ground, "Now.
In two streaks Kairi and Riku appeared out of nowhere.
Kairi and Riku slashed against Kinshiki. The would race against him trying to cut into him from opposite directions, but he turned his chakra into weapons and blocked every strike.
"Your attacks are useless," Kinshiki mocked.
Riku smirked when they attacked again, "And distracting."
The second they were clear, spikes of chakra shot into him.
"Bone mutilation," the Mizukage had sent the attack.
"Tsuchikage," Sasuke called.
"Lava style," the Tsuchikage acted fast, "Ash Stone: sealing jutsu." She spat up ash that wrapped around Kinshiki, completely stopping his movement.
"For someone who has the Byakugan," Kairi mocked, "You're really aren't aware of your surroundings."
Kinshiki just growled.
"We'll hold him here. You go."
"Thanks," Riku nodded. He, Kairi, and Sasuke began making their way to Momoshiki. Until a red fishhook came from no where and hooked Riku through the chest, and lured him away.
"Riku!" Without another word Kairi chased after her friend.
"Kairi wait a- ugh…" Sasuke didn't have time for this. He could only hope Kairi and Riku could handle whatever was going to happen. Naruto was going to let him have it later.
Kairi chased Riku over to another root. Kairi could see with her Byakugan that the fishhook was made entirely of chakra. That meant Kairi could cut through it.
"Riku, catch," Kairi threw her Keyblade at her friend. Riku managed to catch it. One of Kairi's abilities was to teleport to her Keyblade when she threw it. So as quick as a flash she was next to Riku.
Like a whip, her chakra infused hand shot at the red line. It took a few seconds longer than Kairi thought, but she managed to cut the line and free Riku. The two of them crashed onto the edge of the stump.
Kairi got up and raced to check on her friend, "Riku are you okay?" Kairi quickly examined the wound… to find nothing. That couldn't be right, Kairi knew she saw the hook go through his chest.
"I'm… I'm okay," Riku ran his hand over where the wound should have been, "It hurt, but it doesn't look like any damage was done.
"I see, no chakra to speak of. How boring." Kairi and Riku took a defensive stand towards the sound of the voice.
"Oh great, you again," Riku snapped. It was the fisherman freak he fought before, "losing to me before wasn't enough?"
"I just want to see what you two are capable of," he said, "After all, aren't you survivors of the Keyblade War?"
Both wielders stiffened, "How do you know that?" Kairi demanded.
"Investigation is my specialty. I need to keep an eye on all things on the worlds, although I was quite surprised by you," he leered at Kairi. She just glared back at him, "To think one of the Princess's of Heart was Kaguya's descendants?"
Kairi glared at him. That name again, "Kaguya," who was Kaguya?
As if he read her mind, "Kaguya was a member of our clan. She was the one who planted the Divine Tree and created chakra on your world. However, she fell in love with one of the inhabitants and bore his children; your ancestors."
Kairi's eyes widened. That's why they had Byakugan like her, she was descendent of the Otsutsuki!
"So what?" Riku asked, "Kairi's not like you; she defends the world. Not destroy it."
The fisherman's Byakugan activated. Kairi didn't know why, but it felt different. Like he wasn't just looking at her chakra. He sneered, "Oh really, well, we'll see about that."
Kairi just glared and activated her own Byakugan. Riku told her about this guy, he did something to a kid. When his hook goes through someone, it takes their power, and it can't be blocked with magic. Kairi was going to have to be careful.
"You ready?" Riku asked, pulling out a black keychain.
"Always," Kairi pulled out her own.
Riku's Keyblade transformed into Oblivion. And Kairi's transformed into Oathkeeper.
"Well, let's see what you creatures can do."

"64 palms!"
Sora fell on his back, covered in bruises. Standing above him was a very angry looking Neji.
"Worth it…" Sora croaked. As Sora laid dazed on the watery ground a couple of stars floated towards him.
"Did you think it was wise to say that?" One of the stars asked he sounded like a stiff.
"Well… nothing personal…" Sora moaned, "But you're dead… what does it matter if I tell you all?"
The other star laughed, "That certainly makes sense, and I understand your wish boy. The Uzumaki women are truly beautiful. I know, I married one."
Sora just held up a thumbs-up.
"You should still be careful," the fun one said, "Asking for the hand of Hokage's daughter is… a difficult thing."
"How would you know?" Sora sat up, getting his bearings. As he did, he noticed Neji was bowing.
"Because" the stiff said, "We were Hokage."
Sora looked at them wide eyed, "You?"
"Indeed," the stiff said, "And for the record, if you made that declaration for my daughter, I would have killed you on the spot."

Kairi used her Keyblade to deflect the fishhook. It was harder than it sounded, it was like deflecting a thousand-pound weight.
Kairi and Riku spread out, trying to divide his attention, but it wasn't working. If one them attacked from the front and behind, he could protect his front with his fishhook and his back with his pale. Using whatever chakra, he took.
Kairi and Riku were either electrocuted or hit with sand. He was certainly more flexible than the other two.
Kairi shot towards him again. Hoping to get close enough for a hit. But he used his bucket to hit her with a blast of wind that knocked her into the tree. Riku activated Oblivion's limit form, which was also a dual wielding form. It made him faster, but he still couldn't get close enough with the hook waving around him like a whip.
Kairi managed to get up and look at their opponent. She needed to think of something. His weapons and powers protected him from all their attacks. His Byakugan could see all their surprise attacks. Riku told him how they beat him before, but he didn't strike Kairi as someone who would fall for the same trick twice.
Think Kairi, there has to be a way. His weapons, his powers, his Byakugan. It lets him see everything and… it lets him see everything…
Kairi thought of something. Something only she could do. He couldn't see it coming, and it was to fast to dodge and while it wouldn't cause any damage, it would give her an opening. But could it work?
Riku yelled in pain as he was thrown back. Kairi panicked, there was no time to think about. Sink or swim.
"Well," the fisherman taunted, "It seems this is the end. I was so hoping you'd put up a better fight. Oh well." He shot out his hook towards Riku. It was deflected at the last minute, by Kairi's Keyblade. Kairi teleported to her weapon in front of Riku.
She looked up at him. His attention was on her, his sight was fully on her. Now or never.
"Heart of the Princess!"
Blinding light erupted in an instant. As intense as the sun, Kairi shined. And the fisherman who watched her do it. Had to shut his eyes, as his Byakugan took in the whole thing, "My eyes!" The light causing him to go blind.
That was when he felt a volley of attack slam into him.
Kairi summoned beams of light to hit the intruder as he was stunned. He was completely open to attack. Kairi couldn't help but smirk, she turned his advantage into disadvantage.
When the smoke cleared, he was gone.
"Where did-…"
"That certainly a surprise," his voice echoed Kairi looked around, but couldn't see, "No matter, I'll just watch for a while. It looks like the finale is about to begin."
Kairi felt his presence leave completely. Something told her, that wasn't the last she'd see of him.
She heard Riku grunt as he got up, "What happened?"
"I don't-…"
A roar erupted Kairi as a shock wave cut through the giant tree and caused it to fall.
"What the hell?" Riku asked.
Kairi panicked, "Dad, Boruto," Kairi started to run towards the blast, looking for her family.
Kairi and Riku arrived to find the Kage passed out and Momoshiki transformed into a monstrous version of himself.
And I thought he looked freakish before. Kairi thought. She looked around until she saw her brother. She released the breath she didn't even realize she was holding. He was okay. Kairi quickly jumped to his side.
"Boruto are you okay?"
"Kairi," Boruto looked shaken, "He… he took down all the Kage in a second."
"He's definitely stronger," Riku realized. He bit back a curse, and they were still drained from the fisherman.
Momoshiki vanished for a moment. A second later Naruto was blasted through a brance. Momoshiki and Naruto fought hand to hand. Naruto managed to block his attacks at first, but he managed to get in some hits, then he blocked Naruto's chakra points. Something Kairi saw.
"Dad!" Kairi was about to jump down when Riku grabbed her from behind, preventing her.
"Kairi, stop!"
"Riku, let me go," Kairi struggled.
"You're to drained to help."
Momoshiki grabbed Naruto by his head. When Sasuke tried to help. He too was grabbed by the head. Then the two were dragged through the ground before they were thrown aside like rag dolls.
"Riku, I'm serious," Kairi continued to struggle, her Byakugan zooming in on her Dad, "Let go of me right now or…" Kairi trailed off. Chakra was flowing through her Dad's body again, even through the halted points. And it was different, stronger, much stronger than before. Kairi stopped struggling as she looked towards Sasuke. Something was happening with him too. His eyes were reacting strongly, even more than her Byakugan.
"Kairi?" Riku asked, "What happening?"
Naruto stood up, "Okay, I see what's up."
"So, you're a completely different beast than a moment ago," Sasuke also recovered and stalked towards the enemy.
"Or… you're just a monster through and through," Naruto deduced.
"Come now, like you're not just as much of a monster?"
Naruto and Sasuke, looked ready to fight. But Boruto looked worried. He took down the other Kage, how were they supposed to beat this guy?
"Dad, no," Boruto called.
"Boruto," Kairi said, "Calm down," Boruto looked at Kairi confused, "I think… they're about to step it up."
As if on Kairi's cue, Naruto and Sasuke launched towards Momoshiki. Both reached the opposite sides in a flash. Then the impact of their attacks made a crater. Somehow Momoshiki managed to catch both their attacks.
"Finally, this is actually getting fun."
Naruto's who body began to glow gold. Kairi's eyes widened; it was just like before.
"Let's teach him a lesson," Naruto said, "Sasuke."
"Yeah," Sasuke activated his Mangekyo and Rinnegan.
Momoshiki was then shot out, as the two ninja attacked. The streaked through the air, faster than Kairi's eyes could keep up.
Naruto and Sasuke fought in sync against Momoshiki, after he landed. Sasuke got knocked into the air, but he used the chakra in his foot, to toss his sword at Momoshiki. The enemy deflected it, but Naruto then got into another fight. Momoshiki tried to block his chakra again, but this time Naruto stopped him, blocking all his hits. Then Naruto finally hit his face.
"How dare you-…" Momoshiki was then kicked in the face by Sasuke and sent careening back towards the tree. The Otsutsuki then used his chakra to form a spear.
Naruto and Sasuke continued their assault, Sasuke with his sword, Naruto with his fists. The two knocked into the air and he landed on giant trunk. As they scaled the trunk Naruto glanced back at Boruto and Kairi, they were both still safe and away from the Otsutsuki. Good.
Sasuke and Naruto landed on the trunk, to continue the fight. Sasuke pulled out a scroll, with his only hand he unfurled it and summoned a giant shuriken, "Go, Naruto."
"Right!"
Sasuke threw his giant shuriken. As it went past Naruto, electricity filled it, then the shuriken just seemed to multiply, until there were hundreds. Momoshiki managed to dodge them at first, but soon he felt them scratch his skin. So he spun his chakra around him to deflect the weapons.
When he stopped and was crouching. A shuriken broke through the ground beneath him, and smacked him into the air. The shuriken transformed into Naruto, who had his Rasenshuriken ready. He threw it at Momoshiki, who raised his hand to absorb it. Only for it to transform into Sasuke.
Momoshiki, turned his chakra into a chain. He threw it and it instantly tied up Sasuke. Just as he was about to hit Sasuke; they switched places. Sasuke was free and Momoshiki was in chains.
Naruto then punched him, straight through the trunk and into the ground.
"Planetary devastation," Sasuke caused the ground to rise and pack in on Momoshiki creating an artificial moon, trapping him.
Kairi was amazed. Her Father was incredible and strong. And (loathe she was to admit it) so was Sasuke. It wasn't just their power; it was their teamwork. It was almost like watching Sora and Riku fight all over again.
Riku watched as well. He felt, envy. He helped stop a war that would destroy all worlds, but the men before him, could easily overpower him. He knew. Even if Sora were with him, they'd both lose.
Everyone flinched when the moon cracked. A dragon's head broke free and attacked Sasuke and Naruto. They both attacked it and it crumbled to dust from their combined power. Momoshiki fell free and landed on the trunk. He summoned several more dragon heads to attack the two men.
Sasuke kicked Naruto out of the way. He managed to dodge and kill a few, but he did get pinned down in the jaws of one of the dragons. Naruto quickly got his bearings and jumped back in.
Momoshiki placed his hand on the long neck of the creature that had Sasuke and sent a huge wave of fire down its neck towards where Sasuke was.
A golden streak reached Sasuke, before the heat exploded. The fire and smoke was swatted away by the giant claw of Kuruma.
Naruto was inside, along with Sasuke.
Momoshiki rose into the sky, "There you are. The Nine-Tailed Fox demon," Rocks flew around creating a giant stone avatar, "His power shall be mine!"
Naruto and Kuruma punched the goliath, it caught their punch and delivered a blow itself. It then grabbed Kuruma's neck and slammed them into the ground.
Sasuke placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder and transferred his chakra into him, "I'll lend you the Susanoo's power. Do it!"
"I get it, good idea."
Purple armor spread over Kuruma's body. With one swipe it shattered the rock hand. Then a sword materialized in Kuruma's claw.
"You vulgar creatures!" The goliath tried to swing its fist into them, but Kuruma just ducked and sliced it in half with the sword.
Kairi and Riku had to create a barrier around them to protect Boruto from the shockwave, as the monster crumbled. The armored Kuruma vanished and Naruto and Sasuke landed back on the ground.
"Amazing," Boruto said.
"Kairi," Riku said.
"Yeah?"
"You're family's insane."
"I've noticed."
"Did they get him?" Riku asked.
"No," Kairi saw Momoshiki, just floating there, "But I don't think he can move."
"So now what?" Riku asked.
"Maybe we should…" Kairi noticed someone entering the crater the tree was in, "What's that idiot doing here?"
"It's old man Katasuke," Boruto identified. It was the scientist who gave Boruto the scientific ninja tool. He even had someone behind him with… a camera?
When Katasuke stopped sliding down the ledge, he ran out pulling out the scientific ninja tool, "Make sure you get the power of this scientific ninja tool on camera."
"Oh shit," Riku realized, "Don't tell me he's…"
"You fool don't," Naruto shouted.
"Old man Katasuke don't use that," Boruto yelled.
Katasuke did not listen, "Now take this," He shot several dozen ninjutsu at Momoshiki. When they hit, they didn't explode, Momoshiki just absorbed them all and incorporated the chakra.
"Dammit that's just great, now you've done it, you idiot," the Raikage said.
Kairi's eye twitched, "Boruto."
"Yes, Kairi?"
"Don't speak to Katasuke ever again."
"Yes Kairi."
Momoshiki used his regenerated power to heal, "I see, that device is just like our food pills. Although, it's crude and inferior. All the same, I owe my thanks to all you fools," Momoshiki started shooting out the jutsu across the area. Everything was a blaze with fire.
Kairi quickly grabbed Boruto and created another barrier, to protect him.
The smoke cleared to reveal everyone was okay. Naruto and Sasuke began to run to fight him again, but they stopped in their tracks. A giant shadow spread beneath them, preventing them from moving.
"They can't move?" Riku asked.
"It's Shadow Paralysis," Boruto explained, "As long as it's attached to their shadows they can't move."
Momoshiki suddenly created black rods and threw them. Naruto got stabbed by them. He then summoned a fire jutsu ready to launch.
"Now we can we fight?" Kairi asked Riku.
Riku nodded, "Maybe we can get his attention on us, and he'll lose control of the Shadow Parlysis." That way, the Kage can jump back in, even though they were low on power.
"Boruto, stay here," Kairi commanded as she and Riku jumped forward.
Momoshiki saw them. Kairi and Riku summoned their Keyblades to attack. Momoshiki created two chakra blades and blocked them both, "I nearly forgot you two."
Kairi had her Byakugan activated, so she could see the Kage were trapped in the Shadow Paralysis. Apparently they needed to do a bit more.
Naruto saw Kairi fighting Momoshiki and tried to force himself to move. He couldn't let Kairi fight him alone with… wait who was that boy?
Kairi and Riku slashed and parried, trying to defeat Momoshiki or at least get him to lose control over the Shadow Paralysis. But he stronger and faster than before, and neither of them were at full power.
Well, Kairi still had chakra, but she couldn't use it, he would just absorb it with his palms.
Eventually, Kairi and Riku were tossed back. Hurt and exhausted. Kairi sat up, her hood falling off as she glared at him.
"Are another child of the fox?" Momoshiki, noticed Kairi's whisker marks.
Kairi just glared.
"Well," Momoshiki lifted his palm for another strike, "I guess it doesn't matter."
"No," Naruto gritted as he tried to move.
Kairi was about to put up another barrier when.
"Do it now, Boruto!" Sasuke shouted.
Kairi looked at the man like he was insane, what could Boruto do?
Momoshiki did look behind him to see Boruto on the root. Boruto had brought his hands together. His compressed and swirled his chakra into a small ball, before throwing it.
Momoshiki just scoffed, "You know you really should have just stayed hidden," he held up his hand to absorb it. But it faded away, at least that's what everyone saw, except Kairi.
Kairi had to bit her tongue to hold back a gasp, she couldn't let Momoshiki get suspicious and activate his Byakugan. Kairi just waited for the right moment.
"Your attack's nothing but a joke," Momoshiki scorned, "It didn't even come close," Kairi narrowed her eyes, Yeah, laugh it up while you can, "Don't worry. All of you are going to the same place- gah." Just as the invisible attack hit his face. Kairi was on her feet, her right palm about to make contact with his torso. She couldn't attack his eyes, but his torso…
"Eight Trigrams: Air Palm!" Kairi shot the air jutsu from her palms and it rocketed Momoshiki into another root. Kairi then proceeded to put her hood back on.
Naruto was surprised. Not only did Boruto know the Rasenga, Kairi performed the Hyuga style Air palm. As far as he knew, only Neji could ever do that.
"What just happened?" Riku stood up confused.
"Boruto's attack didn't disappear," Kairi explained, "It just became inivisble."
The shadow vanished, freeing the Kage.
"Dad," Boruto jumped down to check on his Dad. Kairi and Riku joined them shortly.
"Boruto, when did you ever learn to do that?" Naruto asked referring to the Rasengan.
Sasuke walked up, "I told him I would only make him my student, if he learned the Rasengan. To my surprise, he mastered it in a few days time. He used his forte, lightning style unconsciously changed it's chakra nature, creating a new jutsu."
Riku leaned into Kairi, "What's a Rasengan?"
"I guess, it's that attack Dad and Boruto did?" Kairi guessed.
"I call it a Vanishing Rasengan."
One could really tell they were father and son the way Naruto and Boruto looked surprised. Riku wondered if Kairi would look like that if she stood next to them.
"No way a vanishing Rasengan?" Naruto asked, "What a jutsu!
"I did that? Really Sasuke?"
"Hn."
Kairi almost laughed, her Dad and brother were funny. They reminded her of Sora… not in a romantic way thought, gross.
"Why you cheeky little kid," Naruto then looked at Kairi, "Kairi, where did you learn the Hyuga style Air Palm."
"That?" Kairi asked, "Once in a dream, this crabby guy appeared. He taught it to me."
"A crabby guy?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah," Kairi nodded, "He said his name was Neji. He said we were family; I didn't believe him at first. But over time he convinced me. He taught me a lot of stuff."
"Neji?" Naruto asked in disbelief. That seemed impossible, but then again, Kairi was standing in front of him. So impossible seemed to be normal that day. He then saw Riku, his eyes narrowed, "Who are you and what's your relationship with my daughter."
Riku flinched and Kairi sighed, "His name's Riku. We're just friends Dad."
Momoshiki then got up, irritated, "What was that? It still won't save you!"
"Great," Riku grumbled.
"Momoshiki Otsutsuki," Sasuke addressed, "At first glance you appear invincible, but it seems even you can't absorb jutsu you can't see."
"Don't misunderstand you piece of garbage!" He snarled as more pills appeared in his hand, "Who cares if I can't see it? As long as I have these, I'll triumph." He then swallowed them.
Kairi raised an eyebrow, "I don't think it's good for him to eat so many at a time."
"Yeah, but I don't think we'll be lucky enough for him to overdose," Riku agreed.
"Boruto," Naruto looked to his son, "Do it again."
"Huh?" Kairi looked at her family.
"But Dad, I'm not strong enough to…"
"It's okay, you got this," Naruto assured, "Kairi, do you think you can help him?"
"Maybe, depends on what you mean," Kairi said.
"Momoshiki isn't going to let us near him," Naruto said, "Do you think you can keep him busy."
Kairi nodded, "Yeah," Kairi turned toward the enemy, "What kind of sister would I be if I let my baby brother do all the fighting. Come on Riku."
"Right." The two wielders jumped into the fray.
Naruto's hand went to Boruto's to help him with the Rasengan. The small ball of energy began to grow, stronger and heavier.
Kairi and Riku put everything into their final assault. Sasuke joined them. He even managed to get a kunai into his hand.
Momoshiki was surrounded by enemies. Kairi saw him about to attack. So she jumped back, but Sasuke and Riku weren't so lucky.
That gave Boruto an opening to unleash the Rasengan. Momoshiki created a copy of the giant Rasengan and the red and blue chakra clashed.
Kairi quickly went to Boruto's side. She placed her hand over his, the one with the Rasengan. She poured her own chakra into the attack to increase it.
The Uzumaki siblings gave one last battle cry before they pushed forward.
Everything went white around Boruto.
"Can you sense my presence human children"? Boruto was now floating, in a… space. In front of him was the Otsutsuki. Glaring down at him.
"Boruto?" Boruto looked to his right to see Kairi floating near him.
Boruto tried to reach out to her, but Momoshiki grabbed his arms, "Now I see, you've strongly inherited the power of the Otsutsuki, but you're still inexperienced. You aren't able to see ahead into your own destiny."
Kairi reached them and pulled Boruto away from Momoshiki. She put herself between her brother and the invader.
"And you… You also have the power of the Otsutsuki, but not the same power as your brother."
"What are you talking about?"
"Yeah, what's your deal?"
"But I can see your destiny quite well."
Kairi glared, "Destiny is overrated. I managed to rewrite destiny before. If I have to, I'll do it again."
"I can see it; it wasn't you who overwrote it. It was him… and he paid the price."
Kairi stiffened. At the accusation.
"Kairi?" Boruto asked.
"Heed this warning. Beware for those blue eyes will eventually take everything from you. And the Darkness will come to take its toll. And know this as well. That those who defeat the God's cannot remain ordinary individuals any longer."
"Just what the hell are you talking about?" Boruto demanded.
"And reflect well," Momoshiki continued as he faded away, "upon thy fate as walk it, human children."
The Rasengan blasted forward, destroying everything in it wake, including what remained of the giant tree stump. Boruto and Kairi fell backwards, Kairi holding Boruto in a protective embrace as they landed.
They watched the Rasengan fly into the sky past the clouds and explode. Almost like a firework.
The two gasped as they tried to catch their breath. They both rolled onto their backs, the enemy was finally gone. They could just lay down for a minute.
"So," Kairi muttered, "I finally came home… What's next on my to-do list?"
Boruto reached out and took Kairi's hand, "Himawari wants a picture."
Kairi looked at him, "She wants a picture with you… with all of us…"
"Okay," Kairi said exhausted, "We can do that, but I need a bath before we do that."
"Kairi…?"
"Yeah…?"
"You're strong…"
"Thanks…"
"Can you teach me how to fight…"
"Sure… As long as you teach me how to do the Rasengan…"
"Deal…"
For the next few minutes, the two siblings just talked about… whatever popped into their heads.
Watching from the edge of the crater, was someone wearing a hood, "Well, look at that? Poppet finally came home."
Eventually they got up. The Kage didn't seem to see Kairi's face when her hood fell down. Either they were pretending, or they really were to preoccupied with Momoshiki, Kairi didn't know.
At the moment, they were in the portal, flying back to the village. Kairi was anxious. They were going back to the village… where her Mom and sister were… She was going to talk to her whole family… and the village… She just fought a power mad monster, she could handle this… right?
The reached the end of the portal. Everyone got out, but Kairi hid behind Riku.
"Kairi?"
"Just, give me a minute, Riku," Kairi begged, "I need to calm down and prepare mentally."
"Don't run."
"That's why you're here," Kairi snapped silently.
Kairi began taking in deep breaths. Okay, I can do this, I can totally do this. Big reveal! I'm about to tell everyone I loved in my childhood that I'm alive! And tell them my life story and hope they still love me… my head feels funny
Hinata went up to hug her husband and held him. He was safe, "Thank goodness."
Naruto smiled, "Yeah."
Okay, be simple, be sincere, Kairi told herself, it's just one of the most important moments of your life… is the rooftop spinning?
"Daddy," Himawari ran to her father hugging him. As Hinata quickly went to hug her son.
"Thank you Boruto."
"Mom," Boruto said embarrassed.
Hinata looked around, "Where's Kairi."
Kairi gulped, Okay, now, or never. Just do it Kairi, rip off the bandage. You survived the end of the world, and… why is the sky in front of me?
"Okay," Riku said, as he stepped to the side, "Allow me to introduce-…"
*THUD*
Everyone looked to see the girl standing behind Riku had passed out. She laid on the floor, her eyes spinning, but her hood had fallen off to reveal her face.
Riku sighed, "Kairi…"

In Radiant Garden. The scientists were measuring space, looking for any irregularity. Anything helped in the grand scheme of things. Suddenly something set off their instruments.
"What's this?" Ienzo asked as he pressed the button. Through the speaker's came a voice.
"Hey everyone, guess what? My name's Sora Hikari! You don't know me, but I have something to say…"
This chapter was hard to write.
In KH3 Both Oathkeeper and Oblivion can activate a limit form that grants the wielder dual wielding. Oathkeeper represents Kairi and Oblivion represents Riku. I thought it would be appropriate and since she has the Byakugan.
I'm terrible at writing fight scenes. I try to avoid them, because they're hard to write.
Sora made a big promise. What did he promise? Well… you'll find out soon. *Evil laughter*
