Bella's POV
I was floating in the darkness. Darkness was everywhere I tried to move but I could not, it was like I was... was I dead? No, I can't be dead I didn't say goodbye to Edward or Alice oh and Esme I can't leave them hmm the darkness is kind of soothing maybe I can just close my eyes No I can't I need to fight. Or maybe just a small rest. yea.
Edwards POV
Bella lay on the bead still as death. No don't think that she is a fighter, she will make it she has to for me. beep beep beep Bella's heart monitor starts to speed up then slow then speeds up then stops. The monitor flat lines and I quickly lean over her and start SPR and mouth to mouth Doctors rush in and I feel a pair of arms wraps around my waist and Carlisle soothing voice filters in "son let them do their jobs go sit with Alice in the hall I have to get in there are you okay?" I take a deep breath and nod my head. I find a chair a couple of feet away and plop into it I berry my head in my hands and dry sob repeating my Mantra "I cannot lose her she will not leave me." what feels like forever I hear the Doctors open the door to Bella's room I try to listen for Bella's heartbeat, but I can't hear over the ringing in my ears. The Doctor is one I have never seen before "hello Mr. Cullen." he pauses "t-tell m-me how is she?" if it were in better circumstances, I would find it intriguing those vampires could stutter he takes a deep breath "Mrs. Swan is um not improving but she is breathing but she is not breathing on her own, so we had to use the ventilator." No no no my Bella she NEEDS to be okay.
