Edward's POV
Bella has been comatose for almost a week, her exact diagnosis is still unknown as far as we can tell there is a spinal rupture internal bleeding which dealt with concussion and bruised ribs, maybe even broken. We can't tell more till she wakes. If she wakes. They say her chances of waking a strong and slim at the same time it just kind of depends on what she there's nothing we can do to speed up the process or slow it down nothing and it hurts me to know that to know that I can't do anything for the love of my life. the love my existence. Alice has come back to visit a couple of times Esme has been here almost every day. Carlisle comes and checks on her but there's not much he can do. It's just a waiting game. time is precious to Bella. Time can mean anything can change things can stay the same but most of all time will wake up the most beautiful woman I've ever seen to walk this earth. I am brought out of my thoughts by the door opening and Dr Sanogo opening the door. doctor Sanogo is Bella's main physician he's been taking care of her for the duration of her stay he's newer of course so doesn't know much about me or Bella, but I always stay in the room for his examinations to stay by her side." So, Mr. Cullen is there any progress" I shake my head "no no progress" my voice doesn't even sound like my own its broken and meaningless. he nods his head and exits the room.
It's been a week and three days since my Bella has been comatose. There's not much we can do still but I have a feeling today's the day I might get to see her eyes again but just a feeling. As I sit in the chair next to Bell's bed holding her hand, I feel a slight tug at my hand I look down and see Bella's fingers flexing. I lean over and call the nurse button as many times as I can push it finally someone answers "Mr. Cullen how can I help you" is a sweet voice from the other end too sweet though. never mind that." Yes, I need the doctor in here right away" I say in the nicest voice I can muster. "OK right away" I hang up the phone and look down at my Bella her eyelids start to flutter and then open very very slowly "E-Edward I- what happened." Your voice is scratchy but still the voice I remember. Thoughts running through my head are crazy like my Bella's awake and talking "love it's me I'm here what was the last thing you remember?" it takes a deep breath "I- I had this strange pain well took your Volvo and then there was this truck, and it came speeding towards me and gosh Edward I'm so sorry." her voice breaks off into a sod. I frantically shake my head "Bella don't apologize you did nothing wrong ok?" she hesitantly nods her head and gives a small smile. We talk for about an hour when her eyes start to droop "Bella, I think you should rest now." "But I don't want to I've been in darkness for a long time I don't want to go back." her voice is sad "Bella, I know you don't want to, but you have to it will help you get better" she nods her head in drifts off to a peaceful sleep.
The next time Bella wakes up her hand automatically flies to her hip, and she winces as her fingers touch it. "My- my hip it hurts." Carlisle comes in and asks if he can check she nods her head he slowly prods her side in her abdomen "it doesn't look too bad it just looks like slight bruising let me know if it gets worse." she nods and then goes to get out of bed once he leaves "where do you think you're going" I asked her in a stern voice she rolls her eyes "I'm using the bathroom Is that not allowed?" now it's my turn to roll my eyes "yes its allowed just let me help." she nods, and she reaches her hand out to grab once her feet hit the ground she winces and crumples to the ground.
Bella's POV
As my feet hit the floor my side starts to burn like it did back at the house. The last thing I see is Edward's worried gaze and then everything goes black.
