As Kinkajou wakes from her sleep I arrive back at camp with some herbs to see Quilbi with his Sandile on top of him also asleep. "Quilbi we are up, let's go or we will be late for our meeting with queen Glory." I say taping Quilbi as Kinkajou hops right up and ready to fly around the world 3 times over.
"Ugh im up lets go." Quilbi says waking up and putting Sandile back in its ball.
"Don't care, I don't want to hear Clay yell at me again." I say picking up the rocks and herbs and putting them in my bag.
"Come on then, I want to see her now!" Kinkajou said, taking off into the rainforest.
"..." Me and Quilbi stare at each other as we watch Kinkajou flee the scene with only her stuff going the wrong way then running back to us.
"Guys Run!" She shouts as a Tropuis flies out of the jungle behind her. It was larger than Clay with glowing red eyes and intent to kill Kinkajou.
"Time to move you scorpion reject!" I tell him to fly up into the sky.
"Right, I'm with you!" he shouts as he flies off into the sky.
"Guys why is it following me?!" Kinkajou shouts flying up to us.
"I don't know, did you grab the banana from its neck?" I ask as she eats what's left of the banana. "You are glad I don't let it hit you with anything Kinkajou." I say as we dodge the Tropuis as it flies right into Quilbi. "Kinkajou throw a pokeball at it and let's get out of here when it's in it." I shout at her.
"I'm scared, what if I miss?" she says.
"Miss Kinkajou, it is a 14 foot tree beast you can hit it with one." I say looking her dead in the eyes as I start to descend, starting to tire from the flying I was still getting used to and never flying at high speeds.
As she turns teal on her body and ice blue on her wings and arms with a hint of light pink on her head and tail. She yells as she turns around and throws that ball with a spin as it hit the Tropuis in the head. As the ball falls out of the sky I hear a sound all too familiar: the click of a captured pokemon.
"You did it Kinkajou! Now go get the pokeball." i Tell Kinkajou with a smile as she dives she realizes where she is and flies back up to me and Quilbi.
"Guys we are here in the rainwing village!" she says diving even faster. I reluctantly followed the smaller dragon just not diving the same with Quilbi to be cautious.
After about 10 minutes of looking for the ball Quilbi found it, and gave it to Kinkajou as she put it in her bag with a smile turning violet from head to toe with little bits of emerald green in her scales.
"brother, how are you doing with school?" I hear a male voice say as I ignore it, guessing it to be Kinkajou's brother. "Stop ignoring me you idiotic goat!" I hear it shout as I walk away from it. "Starshot you get over here right now boy before I make what I did last time a joke!" I hear it shout as I turn around to see Deathbringer and Glory standing over me on a platform that they had been on for what I guessed was Glory's suntime.
"Deathbringer?!" I said with both confusion and amusement that I had found someone that was part of my family.
"In the flesh now get up here and let's talk before you have to leave." He says as I fly my way up.
"So how did you know I'm your brother, who are my parents and where are they?" I am trying to find out about myself as much as possible.
"What are you saying brother you don't remember our mother?" He asks as Glory looks on in confusion turning yellow and lime green.
"No I don't, so who are they?" I ask once more.
"You don't remember Quickstrike, or even your father?" He starts to get worried about why his own little brother who could remember him after 2 weeks but not his parents after only 4 years for his mother, and 8 months after his brother's dad had burned in the volcano not wanting to submit to the rule of a rainwing. "Our mother is a nightwing by the name of Quickstrike and your father was Marrowseer. You were the fix in the old rivalry and hardships till they broke back up. Then Marrowseer became the crazed dragon with eyes only for the queen's plan. Our mother gave you up to the skywings ashamed that you even existed and that's where you have been for the first 4 years you don't remember that?" He says almost crying not wanting anyone to forget his mother, the dragon he looked up to for years and still does.
"No, the more I try to remember the less I know I only remember what I was before I came to this body and what the body did with scarlet at the time. I guess Arcues or whoever brought me here only gave me what was needed." I tell him as I lay down.
"This body? What do you mean? This body?" he says starting to get up and move forward towards me.
By now we had eyes of the whole rainforest watching us. "I am not from this world, I'm from another one. My name is Mike Akaba. I'm a high school school student from the United States of America in a state called Texas. I went home one day, fell asleep and woke up here." I say as he starts to get closer ready to kill me. "Guess the truth won't work so Kinkajou now!" I shout as the budew pops out of its ball and uses Stun Spore on Deathbringer.
"Ok that's enough Starshot for the short time that i knew you. you have changed." Glory said, standing up with a ball in hand. "Let him go and did you call Kinkajou? what did you do to her?"
"Nothing, I'm a person with a school to go to and a country to be the champion of and start a league of trainers to test the bond of dragons and pokemon." i say not moving a muscle.
"You let him go now for I am your queen and you shall obey!" She shouted turning a dark red.
"I serve as king or queen because where I come from monarchy's are gone, seen as obsolete and power hungry. Instead we use a different form of government democracy." I tell Glory as she looks at me with anger and confusion
"Our system that we have been using for generations is fine, nothing will go wrong." she says to me.
"Trust me you need to evolve fast or you will be overthrown. This world is in the medieval age from where I come from. I can show you how to advance faster or you can let it go." I tell glory as she resists spitting venom at me. " So if you would please we will be picking up what we need and get going to the school so goodbye your majesty." I say turning headed for the healing tent snapping my fingers as the paralysis lets go of Deathbringer.
"No you don't. What about Kinkajou, where is she?" Glory asks as I point in the air as she reveals herself. "Why are you helping him?"
"Because what he is saying is true even if he is making it up no one changes that quickly i have been his friend for about 2 months now." Kinkajou says making the statement and turning a bright pink trying to shift back to her normal colors.
"Oh so that's why." glory said with a voice to tease Kinkajou.
"Glory stop!" Kinkajou said with the faintest bit of red appearing on her scales.
"So what is going on here?" Quilbi asks with the supplies in hand.
"Besides being attacked by my brother and almost Glory, she is now teasing Kinkajou with something.
"So if what you are saying is true Starshot, if i let you live here in the rainwing village and help us advance our kingdom, what do you want in return?" Glory said calming down and back to business.
"Land is not enough just enough to build a building out of concrete and make the first pokemon league, and i won't require the land till after i beat you in a battle. Which according to what I have heard you have quite the team." I tell her as she nods. "Oh and directions to Thorn's palace or I guess I could ask Sunny or Quilbi." I add on.
"Funny how a kid has such ambitious thoughts reminds me of all of us dragonets of destiny at once. You have my permission to build on my land if so needed after you hold up your side of the agreement." Glory said, stretching out her arm waiting for me to grab it and shake her hand.
"Thank you queen Glory." I say shaking her hand.
After all that and an uneventful trip home with Quilbi questioning what had happened and why Kinkajou was going on about Glory revealing her biggest secret that not even I know. We land and see Clay standing there and for the first time I see something on his leg. It's there all 4 of them are there. We gave him the herbs and I walked off to my room ready for what would come the next day, an announcement that would set my plan in motion.
Waking up the next morning I hear everyone saying go to the prey center. So I went out right as the exciting part was happening. "We are going to be under the advice of Queen Glory. A pokemon battle tournament will be held in the school with the queens attending to watch this generation of dragons battle it out and they will all bring their top trainer from their kingdom to winner will have a request seen by the queens and if possible will get it granted." Starflight as he blinked his eyes nervously as Fatespeaker stood behind him supporting him as he spoke.
"As we prepare, all students are free to travel Pyrrhia to train and gather pokemon for a team, all battles will be held in a 6v6 format and the tournament will start 1 week from now."
"To sign up please meet me in my office for your application!" Sunny said with her voice being louder than normal.
Cheers could be heard in the crowd as she dismissed everyone. "Well time to get training and sign up for this."
After waiting in line for what felt like years I was informed by Sunny that I had been requested to be in it but not as Glory's pick as a wild card on no team. For me this will be kill or be killed, and never have I been so excited for a tournament in my life. Even the ones I did back on earth were boring but now I'm going to tear through what little knowledge this world has.
