In the morning I was stunned to see Kinkajou waiting for me at my cave's entrance. "Morning, what time is it?" I ask, rubbing my eyes.
"About time for the tournament to start and the first fights will be Water Lily vs Dawn and Clay vs Winter." Kinkajou says as we start walking down to the arenas.
"Hey guys! How is your morning?" Quilbi shouts out as we are about to leave the school doors.
"Oh hey Quil how is it going?" I ask as he starts flying down to the arenas.
"Good so far, hopefully i dont get knocked out in round one." Quilbi says as we soon follow him down the mountain.
Once we reach the bottom I hear shouts from the other dragons that are here to attend the true beginning of a tournament one that would be the first of its kind ever. "The Pokemon Tournament begins with 2 matches in each spot of the school, each with different battlefields and rule sets.
The field arena will be a 6v6 pokemon battle, the cave arena will be 6v6 double battles, the river arena will be a 6v6 rotation battle, and the forest arena will be 3v3 single battles. All battles will allow swapping of pokemon after pokemon faints in battle." Sunny said as her Eevee jumped on her head. "Now let the first round of battling begin! Competitors on the left side of the bracket report to your battle areas that were given to you on your form when you arrived." As Sunny finished she threw her hand with a bracelet up in the air and the crowd of competitors and spectators all shot into a loud shout.
"So it's field 4 and the 3v3 battle against Deathbringer." I think as I see Winter vs Clay on the same field. "Great, now I have to deal with him." I think heading out to the arena hearing the flaps of wings around me as others follow to watch the battle between two brothers.
After both Glory and Deathbringer had made it to the field, the battle started at the blow of a whistle and from Deathbringer I hear. "Go Decidueye!" He shouts as an owl with a red hood comes out of his ball lands and looks ready to fight.
"Volcarona! Light it up!" I shout as the large bug lets out a cry with a little fire coming off its wings.
"Decidueye Triple Arrows!" Deathbringer calls out as his pokemon shoots 3 arrows from its wing then finishes with an axe kick to Volcarona's skull.
"Quiver Dance!" I shout as Volcarona flys up and spins around in circles covering herself in fire and silk.
"Brave Bird!" Deathbringer shouts as his Decidueye shoots up and hits Volcarona pushing her back.
"Retaliate with Fiery Dance!" I shout as Volcarona recovers and starts to cover herself in flame and perform a dance to control the fire to move towards his Decidueye at high speeds.
"Decidueye is unable to battle Deathbringer please send out your next pokemon!" The referee calls out as Volcarona comes down to the ground hovering slightly.
"Go Scolipede!" He shouts as I see the Purple centipede the size of a horse appear.
"Fiery Dance!" I call out as Volcarona slams fire down on Scolipede with it barely even being able to stand up.
"Stone Edge Let's go!" I hear both Deathbringer and Clay Shout as Winter's Glalie collides with my Volcarona mid-air.
"Oh come on WInter!" I think as my Volcarona is hit by the stones.
"Volcarona is unable to battle Starshot please send out your next pokemon." the referee said as I threw out my next big hitter.
"Gyarados pick up the slack!" I shout as the giant red snake pops out of the ball and give out a fierce roar.
"Glalie together let's break the bonds! Mega Evolve!" I hear winter shout out as cheers from the crowd grow loud.
"Let's give them a show Aqua Tail!" I say as Gyarados rushes in and smacks Scolipede with a critical hit knocking it out.
"Scolipede is unable to battle, please send in your last pokemon!" the referee shouts as Deathbringer's last pokemon is unveiled.
"Welcome to the field Grimmsnarl!" Deathbringer said as his tall hairy monster hit the field "Brother queen Glory wanted you to have this." she said, throwing me a bracelet made of skyfire with slots for an orb and rhombus in it.
"What is it?" I ask as I put on the bracelet.
"It's a MZ ring forged out of skyfire. It works as a catalyst for some incredible things. Here let me show you. Grimmsnarl Gigantamax!" He shouted as his pokemon went back into the pokeball, and the ball grew to 4 times the normal size. He threw out a pokemon 70 feet tall and it let out a roar that could break glass.
"AH so that's what it is! Gyarados Dynamax!" I shout as the bracelet glows red and Gyarados goes into the pokeball and is released at the same size as Grimmsnarl. "Hell yeah!"
"Hey keep it nice Brother. now Grimmsnarl Max Starfall!" she shouted as Grimmsarl shot out a massive blast of energy at Gyarados.
"Our turn! Gyarados Max Geyser!" As I say this Gyarados shoots a massive cannon of water as it hits the hair on the opposing pokemon and flung back about 40 feet crashing into the forest.
"G-Max Snooze." Deathbringer says as his Grimmsnarl points a finger out and a small black ball is shot hitting Gyarados in the stomach.
"Crap Gyarados can you wrap it up in one move?" I ask as it shakes its head. "Ok then Max Avalanche!" as i say that it begins to snow then change to hail really fast almost in an instant. About 3 seconds later Gyarados launches a giant ball of ice. Grimmsnarl raises his arms to hold it off until the power overwhelms him, and it crushes Grimmsnarl then fades out letting him get up as Gyarados falls asleep.
"Grimmsnarl Max Thunder!" Deathbringer shouted as a bolt of thunder hit Gyarados knocking it out as it got smaller and turned to normal size.
"Gyarados is unable to battle Starshot, your final pokemon!" the Referee shouted as I thought.
After about 30 seconds of waiting I called out. "Tyranitar kick up a storm!" throwing the ball an immediate sandstorm roars over the field. "Tyranitar Stone Edge!" I call out as stones are grown from the grown knocking Grimmsnarl into the air. "Follow up with Thunder Fang!" I called out.
"Grimmsnarl Dodge and use Dark Pulse!" Deathbringer calls out but it's too late as my Tyrantars mouth clamps shut on the Grimmsnarl then throws it aside.
"Grimmsnarl Is unable to battle the winner is Starshot!" the Referee shouts as i turn around to look at Winters battle with him losing his Avalugg to Clay's Steelix.
"Avalugg is Unable to battle Clay wins!" The other Referee shouts as Winter sighs and puts his pokemon back into its ball.
"Starshot! You bested me in combat so I'll have to forgive you and believe that you are who you say just don't let my no our mother down." Deathbringer says, holding his hand out.
"I won't, Brother!" I say shaking his hand and waving to the crowd that is cheering loudly at the shows they just watched seeing as Dynamax and Mega pokemon were brought out.
