"Dree!" Ni shouted as I woke up feeling something warm on my left side.
"Ni what could you want? Ahh!" I Shout seeing Kinkajou sleeping next to me with a glowing purple aura around her. "Wait a minute Zoro, what did I say about making illusions to prank me. It's only going to get you more time with the real Kinkajou." I say pulling the tail making the illusion disappear and turn into Zoro as he tries to hide his face from me.
"Starshot let's go, you only have like two hours before your semi-finals match." Kinkajou says from out in the hallway.
"Why don't you go and do something other than hang around me for a bit. I have a meeting with Flint in a little." I say as I put everyone away in their balls.
"Oh ok if you need me I'll be with Tamrin." Kinkajou said as she ran off.
"Well there she goes now to find Flint and talk about something that is not women." I say flying off to the meeting spot at the center of the jade festival.
"Star, what's good bro?" Flint says right as I arrive.
"Not much but what did you want to talk about?" I ask as flint starts to look down.
"I lost the last round." He says with his Magmortar patting him on the back.
"You did that sucks but hey I'll win this for you dude just have to pick up the schedule for today." I say as we walk to the reception booth.
"You don't have to bro this tourney was a bust for me." Flint says as we grab the schedule.
"Na dude I got you." I say as I see today's opponent would be Turtle the fan favorite for the seawing kingdom.
"Oh Turtle, I met him once in your cave right? You have seen his strategy with his Mega Blastoise. What's your plan for that?" Flint questioned as he walked into a pole.
I laughed a little before telling him "Thunder fang and some other pokemon, it's a 2v2 four mon match right then I know the team I will bring." as I say that zoro's ball shakes a little as if he knows my plan.
"Starshot you sly dog you always have a plan don't you for being five your quite smart." Flint says with the age gap being one year
"I think it's because of what we like to call Slowking." I tell him letting out a laugh as he sits there confused
"Hey Starshot!" Kinkajou shouts with both Turtle and Tamrin by her side.
"Oh look it's your girlfrien-." Flint starts to say before getting smacked by his Magmortor.
"You are a lifesaver dude." I say as it gives me a nod.
"So Starshot you have met Turtle right?" Kinkajou asks as I see Turtle give me a timid look.
"Yeah but I have a question for him." I say as I pull him aside. "You have a crush on her don't you dude." I whisper to him as he freaks out about the information.
"How could you know that?" He asks as he starts turning red.
"Because of the way you smile, idiot." I say as we all start walking towards the field that we would have our battle on. "Here if you win this battle I'll tell you a secret about how Kinkajou feels. Deal?" I say as he gets a more serious face.
"Deal and you better not fall back on it." Turtle says as we started to hear.
"There's a big battle we have been waiting for between the prodigy of battling Turtle and the new kid Starshot." A dragon said as we got swarmed by people in the crowd.
After about an hour of signing things for people or just telling people that we needed time to prepare and strategize for the battle coming up. We had arrived at the battle field and were ready to battle.
"Ladies and Gentlemen let's get this battle started! Contestants send out your starting duo!" The referee shouted as the crowd roared.
"Go! Tentacruel, and Sharpedo!" Turtle shouted as his squid and shark like pokemon hit the field.
"Ok you guys are up! Dragapult, and Dragapult!" I say as both dragons come out of their pokeballs with one glowing a faint purple.
"Battle begin!" The referee shouted as I got the first turn.
"Ichi Dragon dance! Zoro Focus Blast on his sharpedo!" I command as the moves are executed before he could react.
"Sharpedo!" Turtle shouts as it gets blasted by the Focus Blast and is knocked out in the one attack. "Crap already I never even got to do anything with him. Kingdra, start your rampage!" he shouts, throwing out his seahorse as its eyes glow crimson as he starts talking again" Tentacruel uses Scald on the Dragapult on the left!" He shouts as the attack hits, knocking the illusion off of Zoro, and burning him from the heat.
"Well cats out of the bag now Ichi Dragon darts!" I shout as Ni and San are fired from the holes on Ichi's head at hyper speed.
"Tentacruel use Protect to cover Kingdra!" Turtle shouts as A force field comes up around Kingdra.
"Damn Zoro psychic on Tentacruel!" I say as Turtle gives out another command.
"Kingdra Ice Beam on the Dragapult!" As the attack came from the Kingdra I see Ichi stop moving almost as if he was frozen.
"Crap." I say as an ice block forms around him and Zoro falls to the burn. "Gyarados Go!" I shout as the massive blue snake comes out onto the field.
"Kingdra Ice Beam the Dragapult once more!" Turtle shouts.
"Gyarados Crunch on the Tentacruel!" I say as both attacks hit their target knocking them out.
"Go Blastoise!" Turtle says pulling no punches for his last choice.
"Tyranitar you can pull through!" I say throwing his ball up.
"Blastoise break the chains of evolutions and Mega Evolve!" Turtle shouts as I call Gyrados back.
"Gyarados Dynamax!" I say throwing the ball that's about the size of my chest.
"There it is, folks Turtle's Mega Blastoise!" The referee shouted, sounding more like an announcer.
"Gyarados Max Airstream!" I shout as a tornado gets launched from its mouth onto Blastoise. "Tyranitar follow it up with a thunder fang on Blastoise!" I command as the monster charges forward and clamps down on Blastoise's arm.
"Blastoise Zap Cannon! Turtle shouts as Blastoise takes aim at Gyarados.
"Tyranitar Earthquake!" I shout trying to disturb the aim with the shaking of the ground.
"FIRE!" Turtle shouts as Blastoise's aim was just slightly off but not enough for the attack to not miss.
"This could be it folks, is gyarados going to go down to this Zap Cannon!?" The referee shouts as gyarados holds on from the attack and barely survives the blow looking very hurt and scared.
"How that should have been it!" Turtle says as a scarf around Gyarados's neck disappears.
"Normally yes that you would have knocked him out but thanks to the Focus Sash I gave him he was able to survive the attack. Now Gyarados Max Airstream!" I call out as the attack hits Kingdra knocking it out. "Tyranitar End this with Thunder Fang!" I call out as Tyranitar Goes back and chomps down on Blastoise's arm then throws him into the barrier.
"Kingdra, and Blastoise are unable to battle, the winner is Starshot!" the referee shouts as Turtle collapses slamming his fist into the dirt.
"Hey Turtle, it was a great battle." I say holding out my hand for him to get up with.
"Yeah you're right but listen to me. You are not going to win next time Starshot." Turtle said with his blastoise walking to my tyranitar and shaking its hand.
"I wish you luck on that Turtle." I say as we shake hands with the crowd roaring in the background. "Also take your time with Kinkajou. I have a feeling you have a shot." I whisper to him.
"Thanks dude." Turtle says as the arena slowly empties out.
"You guys were great. I'm sad that it was over so soon though." Kinkajou says, jumping onto the field with her lycanroc beside her.
"Thanks Kinkajou." Both me and Turtle speak at the same time.
"Anyway let's go out for some food before the finals start." I say as we hear another crowd roar in the distance.
"Good idea." Flint says flying off way too fast for the rest of us to catch him.
"That's it, catch him." I say as we all start to chase him.
"Hey Turtle who just finished the match?" I hear Kinkajou ask.
"I believe Moon and Water Lily." Turtle said, slowing down.
"Well guess I know what the teams are better at, check in on clay and that mega stone." I think as we land at the festival grounds. "But for now let's eat!"
