Before we begin

A/N: Hello new readers to a new story called: Persona: A new dream, and it's my own take on if I were to do a persona story with the characters, story, personas, social links and more. I should probably discuss a few things before I start the story:

This story is set in America in a place called: Reves, California, reves is the french word for dreams which is the theme of the story.

There are two concepts I want to discuss that will cover the story basics, one is that the dungeons are set in dreams that are formed by someone's negativity similar to the shadow selves of persona 4 which are also based around negativity and while it's not clear yet, if the person is stuck in their negative dreams for too long, their nightmare's will take over killing the user but I haven't thought of how it's going to go.

Two, the personas in the story will be based around various aspects of royalty or something related like knights, kings, queens, dragons, medics, etc. I did think of what roles the characters should have and although I should aim for 8 party members, there were too many to think of so I ended up with 12 but won't be 12 as I'm aiming for 8-9 party members:

Protagonist: the fool: The new kid. (the future king/queen)

???: the magician: the daughter of the principal. (the mage/advisor of the kingdom)

???: the chariot: the boy with autism looking for a change (the knight)

???: The tower: the transfer student (the foreign diplomat)

???, temperance: the guidance counselor (the advisor)

???: the moon: the gentle jock (the doctor/tactician)

???: star: the being searching for a wish (mascot character and dragon in folklore)

???, lovers: your childhood friend (your potential candidate)

???, aeon: your other half (plot)

???, death, the goth (or emo, trying to figure out the difference) girl (the reaper)

???, apostle/hope: The velvet room attendants (hidden characters, I put a slash in there because I decided depending on which velvet assistant you decide a social link with the other link will go to a different character but won't disappear from the story).

???, fortune, the music lover (they provide music for the kingdom)

???, jester, the class clown (the clown/jester for the kingdom) (Ok so 12 and 13 are more or less afterthoughts but if I were to include them, likely half of them might be gender exclusive because I still want to give the spotlight to other potential arcana social links but also keep in mind, that some social links are datable no matter if your male or female which includes the party)

So now I covered that, let me give you a brief glimpse into the story, you and your dad decide to move away from your small town home in rural nebraska after the death of your mother and while sleeping in the car, you're introduced to the long-nosed man Igor and his two attendants: Charlie (the Apostle) and Melinda (hope) who give you a spear and tells you in the coming days, things are about to change and you'll have to be ready for what's about to come next in the next 2 years and that's all I'm going to explain for now aside from the next paragraph.

The protagonist will be female and is named Emily Destin and as you heard, there will be another half of you otherwise known as the opposite gender protagonist named Joseph. I didn't write the protagonist as any specific race so they can be white, black, hispanic, asian whatever you want them to be aside from certain details.

One last thing, I'll give you a brief glimpse into their initial persona's. If you're male, you're given a greatsword initial persona is Siegfried, the hero of the german tale of Nibelungenlied and will specialize in physical and wind skills but is weak to electricity while the female protagonist is given the spear and is given Jeanne D'Arc, the 15th century heroine who rebelled against the english who e=were controlling the french and years after her death, was considered a Martyr for her actions.

Because she died at a burning stake, her type is ice and physical but is weak to fire. One actual last thing is that this story will contain themes of: death, depression, LGBTQ, happiness, heartwarming, autism and possibly more as we go on so i'll see you in the first chapter soon enough.
