Ladybug with Envy

A/N: Based on Heart Hunter but in my own version. Ladybug/Marinette might be a slight OOC in this one, hopefully not.

During the riskiest battle against Heart Hunter, Ladybug quickly leaves the scene to hand someone out the dragon miraculous and then rushes her way towards Master Fu by the roundabout, until she gets completely jealous at the sight of seeing Kagami hanging out with her crush, making her hit a tree and growls at herself angrily.

"Focus, Ladybug, focus!" she yelled angrily before seeing Master Fu without transforming. He was in total shock that Marinette never de transformed as something bad could happen if Hawk Moth or Mayura found out about him being the guardian of the miraculous.

Ladybug takes a while on deciding who to give out a miraculous between Chloe or Kagami and without thinking, she chose the dragon miraculous so she can take her away from Adrien so she can join the battle alongside her.

"The dragon?" Master Fu said confusingly before adding, "Are you sure?"

"Uh, yes. I'm certain" Ladybug replied back before taking off with her yo-yo, making her way towards the happy couple which she got totally jealous of how extremely close they had been throughout the third season before shaking those thoughts off and trying to at least get Kagami away from Adrien nicely without being too harsh in front of her crush.

As Kagami and Adrien were close to kissing, Ladybug aggressively yanks her away from him so they can find a secret place to hand out the miraculous.

"I'm honoured that you've chosen me Ladybug, but I thought you couldn't give me the miraculous again since Hawk Moth knows my identity," Kagami said as she looked at Ladybug confused about her behaviour lately.

"There's no time…I need your exceptional talent" Ladybug replied but was originally going to tell her that she was jealous of her being with Adrien and wishes it was herself with him.

Both girls made it to the secret place and that's when Ladybug transforms back into Marinette, carefully places the dragon miraculous at the other side, having a small conversation between each other about having crushes on the same boy.

"I hope I didn't interrupt anything with that boy," Marinette said as she refuels Tikki with macaroons on one side whilst Kagami grabs the dragon miraculous.

"You did turn up a little…unexpectedly" Kagami replied back as she opens up the box and Longg re-appears once again, being happy to see her again.

"The boy's famous, isn't he?" Marinette commented seriously. "You're bound to break a lot of hearts" she added as she secretly starts becoming jealous of her spending a lot of time with him.

"There is one person that I don't want to hurt, which is Marinette" Kagami replied as she puts on her miraculous around her neck. "She's the other friend I have but Adrien and I are made for each other. We're so alike… I can't give him up, even for the sake of friendship" she added before transforming herself into Ryuko for the second time.

"Sometimes, choices can be so hard" Marinette replied as if she were about to cry from jealousy after hearing that Kagami and Adrien are meant for each other, much more than she and Adrien in terms of spending enough time together.

"Why can't Adrien and I spend more time together? Is it because I'm a superhero and randomly runs out on him in case of having a date together after my battle with some random villains? Ugh, I wish she gives me a chance to love him" Marinette silently thinks to herself, getting lost in her fantasy before the fencing expert says something about transforming themselves.

Kagami gently reminds her that they have a mission to do as she and Marinette transform into Ryuko and Ladybug respectively, heading back to the palace joining Cat Noir to continue fighting Heart Hunter. "Glücksbringer!" Ladybug calls out her lucky charm and thinks for a moment before proceeding with her plans towards her other teammates.

"Cat Noir, give me your belt and cataclysm that street lamp. Ryuko, go left and-" Ladybug was about to finish giving instructions towards them as she witnessed that the Akuma deakumatised, leaving both Audrey and Andre falling for their lives and quickly catching Audrey whilst Cat Noir saves Andre before explaining how they got deakumatised out of nowhere.

"Was I dreaming or did Heart Hunter deakumatised all by itself?" Cat Noir asks Ladybug regarding the strange behaviour of Hawk Moth towards Andre and Audrey throughout the battle.

"Why would Hawk Moth do that?" Ladybug replied back. "I'll ask Master Fu. Later Kitty Kat" she replied back as she takes Kagami with her to return back the dragon miraculous at a secret alley.

"Longg, open sky!" Ryuko said before transforming herself back to Kagami, hands Ladybug the miraculous before running back to her place with Adrien. Once free from sight, she transforms back into Marinette and silently gets all sentimental as she walks past them, seeing that Kagami and Adrien were about to give each other their first kiss making her feel extremely sad and runs off fast until she bumps into Luka.

"Are you okay Marinette?" Luka asks whilst noticing Marinette crying in sadness after what she had seen between her crush and Kagami at Canal Saint-Martin.

"Yeah I'm fine" she replied, trying to keep her jealousy under check before taking a dramatic pause on the crying but she couldn't handle it anymore and cried again. "Actually no, I'm not fine at all. I'm so tired Luka, of being hurt from love and putting up hearing some person who sees me as just a friend and I couldn't bear the fact that he ended up with someone else! I will never have a chance of dating him!" she replied as Luka comforts her and gives her a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"It's alright Marinette. Love does have its broken wounds but it's worth fighting for the person who you have a crush on that they don't notice and is probably seeking advice from another person regarding how to put the moves on you" Luka replied back whilst hugging her.

"Remember, you can be yourself you know" he added as she straightens up from the crying, smiling a bit before resting her head back to his chest without saying any more words as he lets go of his bike and holds her back as the pain slowly fades while hugging each other in complete silence.
