On Today's Episode: The spies head out to Geraldine and Kandinsky's lair in order to gather more information about whatever their latest scheme could be. During the trip, they'll have to contend with more assassins and even a few new tricks from the villains. Can they unravel Geraldine's plans before it's too late and protect their city from the nasty business?
Act 2: Boiler Room Doom
12:34 P.M. – Geraldine and Kandinsky's Secret Hideout
Thanks to RiCO's drone tracker, it thankfully didn't take the spies too long to uncover the location of the evil secret lair where Geraldine and Kandinsky were holed up. But when they got there...
"Okay, then, this is definitely not what I was expecting for a bad guy lair," Nick quipped as the spies beheld a strange, industrial-looking location that resembled an active boiler room, twisted network of steam pipes and all.
"Yeah, it's all creepy and boiler room-y," Alex replied. "I never thought that's a sentence I'd say."
"I guess bad guys all have different tastes in lairs," Sam stated.
"Here's my question, though," May asked as she used the EGT to summon her anchor back to her hands. "What exactly are they planning in this strange place?"
"Here's hoping we'll find out soon enough," Melissa proclaimed. "Let's get going before something decides to jump us."
"Yeah, I don't trust these pipes," Dawn teased.
So, the spies set off into the hideout, hoping to find something that would benefit their investigation.
"Man, it's like they picked this place just to creep us out," Bridget stated.
"Reference rules for villains, number forty-six," Haruka replied.
"These villains have a lot of unwritten rules, don't they?" Sortiliena quipped.
"Let me guess, Haruka's been teaching you about the rules for villains?" Alex giggled.
Nick made sure to keep his psychic radar active to scan the area for incoming threats, even as he pondered what those feathers were that he kept seeing.
I don't think anybody else saw them, either, Nick thought.
Nick's train of thought was interrupted when he detected multiple sets of thoughts approaching them.
"Everyone, stay alert," Nick proclaimed. "We've got company!"
Nick's statement was confirmed when more of Geraldine and Kandinsky's army surrounded the spy team.
"I knew it," Nick stated.
The rest of the spies got out gadgets to battle them.
"We're set for round two, then," Mat proclaimed.
"And I'll be happy to deliver the first blow," Sortiliena proclaimed as she moved in to attack, jumping over another blast of magic from Kandinsky and pouncing on Geraldine. Though Geraldine attempted to fight back, Sortiliena had already tossed her into Kandinsky, the two villains ending up in a pile. "How do ya like those apples?!"
"Let me add a little oomph," Alex quipped as she got out the Sonic Disintegrator Boom Box.
"Advice for heroes, number twenty-nine," May replied. "If it worked once, try it again a second or third time."
"Tell that to Jimmy Button," Mat quipped. "He got on the podium three times in Supercross 1998 before an 18th at Tampa caused his season to go down the toilet a bit."
"Sometimes fate works in mysterious ways," Haruka commented.
"Not for you, in this case," Geraldine cackled.
"You got that backwards, ya British baboon!" Alex proclaimed, and that got Geraldine hopping mad.
Again, the army of assassins snickered, which caught Kandinsky's attention and gave them another warning.
"Certainly suits you well, Geraldine," Britney responded.
"Seems like we found your army's weak point," Bridget sneered.
"Totally," Clover added. "We take potshots at you, and your army can't stand the giggles."
"Not anymore you will," Kandinsky remarked.
With that, using his magic, Kandinsky made a makeshift cage around the fourteen spies. They were all caught by surprise as well.
"Now, the shoe's on the other foot," Geraldine smirked.
"You think THAT'S gonna do anything?!" Blaine proclaimed.
Clover even threw the Dynamite on a Stick at Geraldine, which Geraldine just swatted to the side.
"That's too easy," Geraldine sneered.
What she didn't know was that the DOAS landed near the Great Kandinsky, and it exploded near him.
"Ooh, you!" Kandinsky growled, which certainly got Geraldine's attention.
"Stop! We're working together!" Geraldine proclaimed.
Everybody took that opportunity to use their jet pack backpacks to get out of the cage Kandinsky made.
"Hopefully this is an easy one for us," Haruka told the others.
"I don't expect it to be easy," Dawn replied after everybody got down to the ground.
The army then started going after the spies.
"Here they come!" Nozomi yelled.
Everybody was set to battle the army for that second round.
Three assassins all surrounded Sam, Britney, and Mat, their intent obvious, but Mat simply grinned at his girlfriends, and they smiled back, knowing exactly what he was thinking.
As the assassins jumped towards them, Mat reached out to take Sam and Britney's hands into his own so that he could spin them around, allowing them to kick away the assassins while they were being twirled.
A fourth assassin attempted to attack Mat from above, but Melissa solved that problem by flying in and tackling him into the nearby wall.
While this was happening, five more assassins converged on Nick.
"What, I'm supposed to be scared?" Nick taunted.
"You should be!" one of the assassins growled as they all lunged forward in an attempt to dogpile on Nick, only to slam head-first into a psychic bubble that Nick had created around himself.
"Try again?" Nick quipped.
"Now, we deal with you two," Melissa proclaimed.
That was when they noticed that Geraldine had been hypnotized by Kandinsky himself to make her stronger over the spies by tenfold.
"Not good!" Sam exclaimed.
"Okay, who expected him to do that?!" May shouted.
"Now, my lovely, get them," Kandinsky cackled as Geraldine advanced on the spies.
("Laser Beam" by Lotus Juice plays)
Britney put her arms up to defend herself, but Geraldine managed to break through her guard and slam her into the opposite wall.
"Brit, you okay?!" Mat gasped.
"Yeah, just... my pride, really," Britney grunted as Mat helped her to her feet.
"This really reminds me of when Geraldine and Natalie used those bracelets and channeled the heartbreak of the whole city to buff themselves up," Nozomi quipped. "That was a trip."
To emphasize how much stronger she was in this state, Geraldine slammed her fist into the floor, creating a large, very noticeable dent in the metal surface.
"...oh, crapbaskets," Clover groaned.
Geraldine charged forward and bowled Clover and Blaine over, then spun around to do the same with Alex.
"EEP!" Alex squeaked.
"Sonic Mode, online!" Bridget shouted, transforming into Sonic Mode before lunging forward and slugging Geraldine in the chest with her Metal Masher Boxing Glove. Despite being super-charged by Kandinsky's spell, the strike was still enough to make Geraldine double over.
This gave Nick the chance to blast Geraldine backwards with a Final Shine Attack, though she quickly recovered and tried to pounce on Nick.
"Bad spy has-been!" Sortiliena taunted as she grabbed Geraldine by the legs and power-slammed her into the ground. "No jumping my buddy on my watch!"
"Thanks for the save, Liena," Nick quipped. "Now let's kick her keester."
"Be my guest," Sortiliena giggled as Geraldine picked herself up.
When Geraldine lunged for them, Nick and Sortiliena both ducked under her flying kick, then slammed their fists into her from both sides, dazing Geraldine long enough for Nick and Sortiliena to start attacking, landing five different hits in perfect sync before knocking Geraldine into the air with a dual rising kick.
Not finished just yet, Nick and Sortiliena followed Geraldine into the air and socked her in the face before kicking her down to the ground together.
However, Geraldine once again got back to her feet.
"Man, she doesn't want to stay down, does she?!" Melissa exclaimed.
"Let's see how she likes the anchor, then, shall we?" May cackled as she swerved to the side of a right hook from Geraldine and started wailing away with her anchor.
Eventually, despite her anchor strikes not seeming to do much, May ducked low and swiped her anchor at Geraldine's legs, tripping the villainess up so that May could send her flying backwards with a home run swing.
"And she's outta here!" May exclaimed.
To May's surprise, Geraldine righted herself quickly, landed on the nearby wall, then used the momentum to propel herself right back into May, landing a spinning kick across her face that sent her tumbling backwards.
Geraldine picked up May's discarded anchor without a problem (no doubt thanks to Kandinsky's buffing spell) and threw it towards May.
"YIKES!" May shouted, only for the anchor to stop cold a few inches before it could hit her, covered in the telltale golden glow of Nick's psychic powers.
Nick redirected the anchor around Geraldine with his psychic grip, hitting her with it multiple times before returning it to May's hands, then firing a Final Shine Attack into Geraldine's chest to send her tumbling backwards.
"Big mistake, Geraldine," Nick quipped.
"Okay, so, does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this powerup of hers?!" Alex wondered.
Nick looked back at Kandinsky, who was still waving his wand around in odd patterns, most likely to keep his spell on the hypnotized Geraldine.
Wait.
Hypnotized?
That gave Nick an idea.
Geraldine reached over to actually rip a steel pipe out of the nearby wall with her enhanced strength and toss it for the spies.
Nick quickly formed a psychic blade on his right hand before rushing forward to slice the pipe in half with it, then rushed towards Geraldine, his hands clenched tightly.
"All right, miss psycho, time to wake up!" Nick shouted as he threw his arms out, unleashing a psychic pulse around him that floored Geraldine instantly.
When Geraldine finally woke up, she looked around, wondering why her strength had suddenly faded.
"Um, did you forget I have a wake-up trigger for tricks like that?" Nick quipped.
"Curse you wretches!" Geraldine growled, backing up to where Kandinsky was standing. The assassins had all retreated during the scuffle.
"Just give it up already," Sam proclaimed.
"We may as well retreat for right now," Kandinsky responded. "We do have other things to take care of, after all. But how about this? I'll leave you all with a little... let's call it a 'parting gift'."
As the two villains retreated down the nearby hallway, Kandinsky fired another blast of magic from his wand...
...and it struck May, covering her body in a field of light for a few seconds.
When the magic blast cleared, May fell to her knees for a second but slowly got back to her feet, but when she looked back at the spies, her eyes were glazed over.
"Oh, crapbaskets, did he hypnotize May?!" Melissa gasped.
That question was answered when May rushed forward and swiped her anchor towards Nick. Though he blocked the swing with a quick psychic shield, May just kept on swinging towards him.
"Everyone, go after the freak twins and their posse!" Nick exclaimed. "I'll handle this."
Though hesitant, the spies agreed and rushed off down the hallway to chase Geraldine and Kandinsky, leaving Nick to face off with the hypnotized May.
Nick knew that saying anything to May in her current state would be of no use. May continued to swing her anchor in an attempt to cold-cock Nick.
"This isn't getting anywhere!" Nick proclaimed as he bobbed and weaved out of the way.
"Resistance is futile," May stated in her transcended state.
"Not in this case," Nick replied.
He managed to find an opening to ensnare May in a psychic hold. Nick then remembered when Clover snapped Gregor out of his trance with a snap of her fingers (at Sam's suggestion, of course) – that was after he recited the rhyme to snap May out of it.
Upon being snapped back to reality, May shook her head and looked around.
"Why do I feel like my head was used for a punching bag?" May wondered.
Nick sighed in relief as he hugged May, knowing she was back to normal rather quickly.
"You... wanna fill me in, Nick?" May gasped as Nick's hug got pretty tight on her.
"What's the last thing you do remember?" Nick asked first.
"Kandinsky firing something at me," May immediately answered.
"Then you didn't miss much," Nick quipped. "And I guarantee that I'll give you your opportunity to even up the score."
May gave that smile that made her immediately know that Nick was a man of his word.
"I'm sorry you've had some kinda bad luck with getting caught in bad guys' plots lately, May," Nick quipped, referencing the times when Lady Dragon had captured her in the Datascape and when Max Exterminus had tried to make her his new bug queen.
"Honestly, I'm used to it by now," May admitted. "It tends to come with the territory when you're working for W.O.O.H.P., really."
May leaned over and kissed Nick on the cheek before they joined hands and raced off down the corridor to rejoin the rest of the team.
In the meantime, the other twelve spies went after the army of assassins. That was when Sam had an idea and aimed her Laser Lipstick at a pipe up above. After a second shot, the pipe came loose, causing it to fall directly a few inches from the assassins' bodies.
"Direct hit, Sammy!" Alex exclaimed.
"Now you're gonna get what you deserve..." Sortiliena remarked.
"And then some!" Bridget proclaimed.
With that, she activated Sonic Mode while Sortiliena activated her own attack mode.
Bridget blitzed back and forth to keep the assassins at arm's length while Sortiliena flipped around and knocked the assassins down.
"Owned," Sortiliena giggled.
"Great work, girls!" Haruka exclaimed. "Now let's try our hand."
Nozomi ran forward, sliding under one of the assassins before jumping to kick him in the back and send him tumbling into another bunch of assassins.
Alex dodged through two assassins trying to grab her before soccer-kicking one of them into the other, and this opened up Melissa and Dawn to use their favorite tag-team move with the Helicopter Hand Fan and a Cyclone Blast Hairdryer, blasting assassins down from the air.
"Nope, still not tired of this move," Melissa giggled.
"Damn right!" Dawn exclaimed.
"I guess all we gotta do now is try and find Geraldine and Kandinsky," Melissa deduced.
"My thoughts exactly," Sam quipped.
"And we better hurry in case they've already got another army in the works," Blaine pointed out.
Everybody nodded; nobody knew that better than Sam, Clover, and Alex after the last time.
"We'll definitely need May and Nick if we can get them back in time," Dawn replied.
"No need to wait," Nick proclaimed as he and May approached.
"Thank the stars, dude!" Mat proclaimed.
"Well, we're gonna need a plan first," Clover pointed out.
"Totally," Alex added.
"I guess we get this out first," Nick replied as he used his psychic power to reattach the pipe that Sam broke off.
"That's a little peace of mind," Bridget laughed.
Everybody moved forward through the boiler room to try and find Geraldine and Kandinsky.
Nothing was happening until illusions started messing with the spies. Mat even made a diving save on Britney, too.
"They're messing with us..." Nozomi groaned.
"Well, we gotta do something..." Haruka proclaimed before dodging another illusion. "Before they get too much fun out of messing around with us!"
Nick stood his ground while May and Alex stood by his side to protect him while he scanned for what was real and what was an illusion.
One such illusion, that of a burly man with overly-muscled arms, tried to belly-flop on top of Sam.
"That one's not real, Sammy!" Nick exclaimed.
Sure enough, the burly guy passed right through Sam without dealing any damage to her.
"Whew, close one," Sam quipped just as three clones of Kandinsky all appeared and fired blasts of magic towards her. Nick raised his hand to project a psychic barrier in front of Sam that blocked the blasts.
"Now mister magic's just playing dirty," Alex proclaimed.
"What did you expect from a wash-out like him?" May taunted.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!"
Nick took that as an opportunity, raising his hand towards where that shout had come from and yanking Kandinsky out of the shadows. This also caused all of the illusions surrounding the spies to vanish.
"H-How did you...?!" Kandinsky gasped.
"Rules for villains, number sixty-six," Haruka quipped. "Stay cool under pressure."
One of the nearby assassins chuckled (they were clearly having fun with this), only for Kandinsky to blast him away in response.
"Dude, petty much?" Clover laughed. "Your mook just appreciates a good joke, like you are!"
"You're starting to grate on my nerve, little girl," Kandinsky snarled.
"But once we're finished with you, you won't be grating anyone's nerves ever again," Geraldine cackled.
"How about you start coming up with new lines for once?" Blaine taunted. "There's only so many 'I'll get you next time, Gadget' rip-offs we can stomach before we get bored!"
"H-Hey, we workshop about a thousand different lines a year, and they can't all be gold!" Kandinsky stuttered. "You try coming up with different taunts for every single scheme up your sleeves and then tell me it's easy to do!"
Kandinsky was so distracted by his speech that he completely missed May flying upwards and tossing her anchor into the ground right next to him, the sheer force of the throw alone forcing Kandinsky to fall to the floor.
"Rules for villains, number seventy-six," May laughed. "Don't monologue or speech in the middle of a battle."
"How about you just give it up already?!" Nick shouted, his aura flaring around him. "We're really getting sick of your childish games!"
"Oh, I wouldn't call them childish, boy," Geraldine retorted. "I'd call them brilliant. After all, you have no idea what we're planning."
"You wanna enlighten us, or is that just not happening?" Nozomi responded.
"You'll have to catch us first," Kandinsky cackled as he and Geraldine once again retreated, Kandinsky firing a blast at the ceiling that caused another pipe to fall and block the spies route, thus giving them time to escape.
"Okay, that's getting old, too," Alex groaned.
"Hey, we'll catch 'em," Mat responded. "We always do in the end."
After Nick replaced the busted pipe, the spies set out down the hallway.
But once again, Nick saw a feather floating down from the air, even though there were no birds nearby. And, again, once he blinked, the feather was gone, like it had never existed.
"Everything okay there, Nick?" Alex asked.
"...well, I don't know if you'd believe me if I told you," Nick admitted.
"Try me," Alex giggled.
"I've been seeing strange owl feathers every now and then over the course of this case," Nick explained. "The thing is, I don't think anyone else could see them, and the second I blink, they're gone. I'm not sure if they're Kandinsky's illusions or not, but I'm inclined to think not since apparently I'm the only one who can see these feathers..."
"Hey, we'll figure it out," Alex replied. "And if someone is trying to play mental tricks on you, we'll stomp 'em flat, right?"
"As we always do," Nick responded, leaning in to kiss Alex.
After a few minutes of pursuit, the spies eventually found themselves in a large, circular arena-type room.
"Ooh, boy, I have a feeling I know where this is going," Clover quipped.
The lights in the arena turned off for a split second, and when they came back on again, the spies were suddenly surrounded by dozens and dozens of assassins.
"Another army," Blaine groaned. "I FREAKIN' CALLED IT!"
"How sad to say that you won't be surviving this encounter," Geraldine proclaimed from a higher vantage point.
"After all, you're outnumbered by quite the margin here," Kandinsky laughed.
"Um, rules for villains number seventy-nine?" Haruka responded. "Don't always assume outnumbering your opponents means you'll automatically win a fight."
"Oh, we'll see about that," Geraldine cackled as she and Kandinsky again took their leave, leaving the spies to deal with the army of assassins surrounding them.
"Who thinks this is going to end well?" May wondered as the assassins approached them, their intent obvious.
"I certainly know this will end well for us," Nick proclaimed.
"I can see to it that it does," Haruka quipped.
Two of the assassins started to charge at them.
"Up and over?" Nick asked Haruka.
"Up and over," Haruka replied.
She grinned, knowing she and Nick did that to Mat and Sam in the pool at Mali-U and back at the beach house a time or two.
"Time to use a swimming trick on you menaces!" Haruka exclaimed.
They both tightly gripped the two assassins' shoulders hard enough for them to not move their shoulders before adjusting their position so they were facing the spies' direction.
"Now, if you want a double strike..." Nick quipped.
He and Haruka front-flipped to kick the assassins into the full army to send them into a big mess.
"I had a feeling that trick in the pool would come in handy," Sam laughed.
Fortunately, the spies didn't celebrate too soon and were quick to respond to the assassins getting back to their feet.
"This isn't over yet!" one assassin proclaimed.
"Everything you've done to us is nothing!" another assassin boasted. "NOTHING, ya hear?!"
"Okay, these cheap punches you're taking are getting on my nerves!" Clover complained.
"If I were you, I'd get used to them, missy!" A third assassin proclaimed.
"Well, guess what, we're NOT getting used to them!" Bridget emphasized.
("The Sign" by Ace of Base plays)
"Yeah!" Nozomi added. "If you think you're going to dock our confidence levels, you'll have to do better than taking punches like that!"
"You heard her!" Alex proclaimed.
"Care to tag-team, Alex?" Nick offered.
"Not gonna say no," Alex quipped.
As five assassins approached them, Nick and Alex leaped into the air to make two of them crash into each other, then did a springboard off of their shoulders to knock the other three away with a flying kick each.
Four more assassins attempted to grab them while they were recovering, but Nick simply blasted them all back with a psychic pulse while Alex did the same with a Sonic Disintegrator Boombox.
"Awesome!" Blaine exclaimed.
Nick officially disposed of this army via a psychic bubble and sent them off to who-knew-where.
"We better hurry and stop Geraldine and Kandinsky then!" Bridget emphasized.
"Totally!" Britney remarked. "I don't want to see their plan executed to a tee."
"And if they don't keep up with the cheap potshots, that's a plus," Clover commented.
"Honestly, if I hear one more potshot like that again, I might as well break their necks," Dawn remarked.
"I'd settle for them in wheelchairs myself," Melissa added.
Sam got out her X-Powder to call Jerry and RiCO.
"Hey, Jerry, any idea where Geraldine and Kandinsky might have gotten to?" Sam wondered after their visages popped up.
"Well, you're all in luck, since they're still in the lair," RiCO responded. "I'm triangulating their exact positions now."
After a few seconds, Sam's X-Powder screen displayed a holographic map of the hideout, alongside a green line that showed where the villains had gotten off to.
"Thanks again, RiCO, we really appreciate it," Sam answered.
"No problem, Sam," RiCO giggled. "Now go out and kick their keesters in!"
"That was always the plan," Alex teased.
With that, the spies followed RiCO's map deeper into the depths of the hideout, eventually finding themselves in a large, arena-style room where Geraldine and Kandinsky were waiting for them with evil grins on their faces.
"Oh, no, you found us, how horrifying," Kandinsky laughed.
"Just scrap the sarcasm already," Mat shot back. "You wanna tell us your super-secret scheme so we can scuttle it like always?!"
"I'd think you would have already figured it out by now," Geraldine retorted. "You know we've been trying to chip away at your confidence throughout this whole caper, right?"
"Yeah, and it hasn't been working, freakballs!" Alex shouted.
"It's always interesting to psychologically attack our victims, isn't it?" Geraldine continued as if she chose to ignore Alex. "I feel like breaking a person's spirit is the best way to truly destroy them."
"Is there a rest stop between now and the freakin' point?!" May growled, twirling her anchor threateningly.
"So, we started thinking, what if we could spread such confidence-breaking throughout the entire city?" Kandinsky proclaimed. "With the right words, they would all be easy pickings."
Kandinsky gestured to the different radar arrays around the room. "With this technology, we can distribute our confidence-breaking majesty to the entire population of Beverly Hills!" Kandinsky exclaimed.
"But there's one problem we still have to fix before we can unleash our grand plan," Geraldine cackled. "And I'm pretty sure you know what that problem is."
"That would be us, I assume?" Blaine quipped.
"Correct-a-mundo!" Kandinsky laughed, his wand glowing. "Now prepare to die."
Kandinsky snapped his wand down and unleashed a large wave of magic for the spies, but Nick projected a psychic barrier to defend against the wave.
"How about you prepare to get stomped?" Nick shot back. "All right, everyone, let's get to the stomping!"
The spies all let out an affirmative cry before charging into battle.
"You wretches don't know what you're messing with, do you?!" Geraldine cackled as Clover made the first move,
"I could say the same thing about you, ya windbag loser!" Clover shouted, leaping forward to kick Geraldine in the head and send her stumbling backwards.
Alex naturally took advantage of this moment by rolling under Geraldine and grabbing her from behind.
"And what do you think you're doing?!" Geraldine shouted.
"Oh, this," Alex giggled.
Melissa and Dawn both fired Cyclone Blast Hairdryer blasts at Geraldine, giving Alex just enough time to jump out of the way before the blasts hit Geraldine and sent her tumbling away.
Meanwhile, Nick fired a Final Shine Attack at Kandinsky, but he blocked the blast with a magic bubble before waving his wand to create ten clones of himself around Nick.
"Seriously, dude? Did you miss the last ten times this trick failed?!" Nick taunted as he covered himself in a psychic bubble to defend against the clones...
...only to see the real Kandinsky charging for the nearby control panel.
"Oh, you little tool!" Nick exclaimed, popping his bubble to dissolve the clones before flying towards the real Kandinsky, grabbing him by the collar, and slamming him into the opposite wall.
"Nice try," Nick proclaimed before firing a Final Shine Attack into the console and destroying it rather handily. "What do you have to say to that?!"
Kandinsky simply waved his wand and vanished before reappearing behind Nick to blast him into the wall.
"Should have looked both ways," Kandinsky taunted.
"Should have kept your eye on the birdie!" May shot back, charging in and bashing Kandinsky in the back with her anchor before tending to Nick. "You okay there?"
"Mostly," Nick admitted. "Just surprised he actually thought of that."
"They're learning," May quipped.
"I'd appreciate it if you stopped ignoring me," Kandinsky proclaimed.
"Maybe get a better magic act, you dumbass!" May taunted, and that definitely seemed to get under Kandinsky's skin. "Oh, what? You can dish it out but you can't take it? I'm disappointed!"
With that, May rushed in, swinging her anchor multiple times and forcing Kandinsky to stay on the defensive so that Nick could eventually blast him in the back with a Final Shine Attack.
While all of this was happening, Geraldine managed to find her way to the console that would activate their major plan.
"So sorry for you, spies, but it looks like you're too late," Geraldine laughed. "Once I activate this, you'll see what zero confidence feels like!"
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!"
Geraldine made the big mistake of looking towards where that shout had come from, only to notice a pair of Incendiary Earrings flying right towards her.
As Geraldine dove away to safety, the Incendiary Earrings collided with the console, and created a field of intense heat around them before exploding violently, completely eviscerating the console along with the other ones nearby.
For good measure, Nick also blasted the radar dishes on the ceiling down with a quick barrage of psychic bolts.
"There, now your plans are dust in the wind," Mat proclaimed. "Now just surrender and make it easy on yourselves."
"Oh, do you really think we're done yet?" Geraldine chuckled as she and Kandinsky moved toward the opposite wall of the arena.
"After all... we've studied rule sixty-one," Kandinsky laughed as he pressed a button on a remote device on his wrist.
A few seconds later, a gigantic robot crashed through the wall so that Geraldine and Kandinsky could jump into its cockpit. This machine had an oval-shaped head with glowing green eyes, a left arm topped by a large machine gun, a right arm topped by a long laser cannon, and four long legs, giving the machine a rather unnatural feel.
"Say hello to our Deathbot, spies," Geraldine proclaimed.
"To be fair, we were a little strapped for name ideas, but it still serves its intended purpose," Kandinsky admitted. "Now, we must be off."
The Deathbot marched across the room and smashed through the arena wall and out towards downtown Beverly Hills.
"Okay, it feels like it's been long enough since we dealt with a good ol' giant robot," Alex quipped.
"Come on, everyone! We've gotta stop that thing before it gets to the city!" Sam exclaimed.
Nothing more needed to be said as the spies all flew out of the hideout through the same hole made by the Deathbot, hoping to stop the rampaging robot before it wrecked their city.
To be concluded...

On the next episode...
Nozomi: Man, this thing's fast for such a huge machine!
May: Halt, evildoers!
Geraldine: You spies sure are persistent, aren't you?
Kandinsky: Just try and stop us now!
Melissa: That's what we always do, isn't it? Why would this time be any different?
Geraldine: Well, how about this?!
Bridget: ALEX, LOOK OUT!
Nick: Oh, you two shouldn't have done that, because now I'm gonna destroy you and your stupid-looking robot, next time on the final act of Totally Spies: Competitive Counterparts, "The Crawling Demise"!
May: Okay, someone in the writing department had a ball with that one. Be honest.
