A week after the destruction of Zero Point, someone has scavenged the body of David Martinez, a now-legendary edgerunner known for his humanity and his overall tolerance of cybernetics, from year 2076.
After a year-long experimentation and development and research during the reconstruction, David was brought back to life with reconstructed body combining both organic and cybernetic parts, and the customized versions of the same implants he had just before the moment he approached the Arasaka exoskeleton prototype the previous year.
Through special and custom braindancing, the ripperdocs, scientists and researchers was able to bring back all the memories David had in life.
"It's successful!" A scientist happily exclaimed. "We finally brought back David Martinez to life!"
"Welcome to the second life." A ripperdoc welcomed David.
"What's this place?" David doesn't know what happened before revival.
"You're currently in the year 2077." A researcher told David. "And we've heard that Adam Smasher was defeated by a cyberpunk named... V. And the ripperdoc Johnny as well."
"Nice." David responded. "Where's Lucy?"
"You mean Lucyna Kushinada?" A scientist asked.
"How did you know?" David asked.
"Oh, we implemented a special custom braindancing technique." A scientist then explained. "And we've managed to bring back your memory, your personality, alongside everything."
"Wow, look at this!" David activates Sandevistan and ran away.
David finally got to experience his own life again, but on a new light. He jumped down, he walked through street, he rides in the bus that rail..., he watches the holographic..., etc. He really enjoyed being brought back to all of this.
"Mom, I'm back!" David candidly shouted. "Like I give a shit."
Then crack in the sky slowly appeared on top of Arasaka Tower. Few hours later, as David climbs to the top again, he see the strange crack.
"What's this, chooms?"
David stood up at the edge, and tried to scan the crack. However, he has trouble even understanding a thing.
"What the fuck!?"
Various dragons emerged from the crack and started wreaking havoc to the Night City.
"Dragons!?" David then runs away.
He ran down to the street and kept running. However, for almost every path he finds, dragons are targeting him. And he has to keep running to evade the dragons.
However, in the end, he ran into Night City Police Department - specifically in the same place James Norris died - and is cornered by a half of dozen dragons.
"Shit! I can't! They surrounded me!" David shocked.
Then he noticed the size difference as well as his cybernetics' utility that he used back in his original life. The dragons then breathes fire at David.
activates Sandevistan* "Large ass, mister Fire-Mouth!" David quickly dodges and then boost-jump in style. "Too bad, I'm too fast!" *shoots a nearby dragon with his armed cannon (like Maine used to)*
This injured the dragon that took the shot from David. The other dragon there then stopped and looked around, but David escaped and told the police. And he ran away.
"How did the dragons of the fables arrive here?" A police who heard David's reporting. "And wait... David Martinez from Santo is... back!?"
A couple of hours has since passed, and the police has arrived, much to the pleasant surprise of civilians and criminals a like. A number of criminals ended up assisting the police in freaking with the dragons themselves. But due to sheer size, powers and in large amounts, the dragons is barely even affected overall, with the police and the criminals only managing to subdue a dozen of dragons at most before being overwhelmed and killed. All while the scared civilians runs away and often losing their lives to the dragons.
At that point, David managed to injure a few dragons without too much effort, however, in line with his cyberpsychosis in his original life, he started becoming tired.
"Hundreds of dragons, and then..." David forced to catch a break.
Damaged properties, ruined landscapes, burning houses, etc. has already started devastating Night City. In fact, people there and many others has come to think of the dragons as the Creature from Nightmare. However, the police noticed that the dragons aren't just destroying Night City, but are fighting each other on whether to destroy something, which still led to collateral damages.
A dragon then carried David, much to his suddenly surprise.
"Huh!? A dragon carrying me?" David surprised as he climbed on top of the dragon's body.
"So many kins of so many worlds... You're seeing some of the consequences of something... too bad for reality." The dragon replied.
"A dragon that can talk!?" David shocked to hear the dragon speak.
"No time to explain!" The dragon shouts as she's ready to fly. "Strap in!"
"Ok. There isn't any other way though, chooms." David as he's forced to ride the dragon.
The dragon flew and David rides it. David doesn't know how to ride a dragon at all, so he used Sandevistan intermittently to stay balanced and hold onto the dragon's neck (which he's sitting right at that moment). The dragon also breathes fire to attack other dragons, and is able to fly and maneuver in the sky. David is quickly excited as he's being carried in the sky, dodging the dragons as well.
"Woo hoo!" David is excited. "Mom, I'm riding a dragon!"
As it turns out, in his early childhood, David used to read fantasy stories, many of which has dragons in it. David once wanted to ride a dragon, but since his mom, Gloria Martinez, said that dragons aren't real, he stopped believing in it, not to willingly even read any fantasy stories again. However, his new, post-revival life finally got the surprise return of the fantasy dream he previously discarded.
"Mom, I remember now..."
The dragon quickly approaches the crack in the sky.
"Almost there, mister!" The dragon flew towards the crack.
"Woah!" David is about to go to the rift.
"The rift! That's the escape route!" The dragon responded. "Brace yourself already!!!"
The other dragons is chasing, however. They then shot fireball to the dragon and David with their mouth, much to the latter two's anxiety. The fireballs concurrently hit the dragon's body just in time when David managed to get through the crack. This bery much injured the dragon, causing both it and David to fall down.
"Ahhh!!!" As David falls into the rift. Images and properties of several different worlds appeared in his way.
And the dragon was stabbed into something along the way, apparently killing it.
"Where am I?" David as he falls through.
Then David falls through many worlds across several multiverses at different times and states: the battle with Hypsistos Z, the death of Justice Leagues, the battle between Cosmos and Chaos, many versions of Armageddon, the moment the Looped Island flipped, the confrontation of System XX, the attempted world restart by Barlckxs, the battle against Galeem and Dharkon, Absolutian's attempted invasion of the Land of Light, (both) battles of Earth-19999, both World Wars, the battle between Goku and Saitama, the battle against Shin Dragon in its reality-shattering final form, the battle of Castle Anorak, battle between Team Mecha Leader and the Devourer, Galactus trying to destroy both Marvel world and Capcom World, both basketball matches with Toons Squad, Asmodeus' attempt to get rid of the worlds of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, confrontations against Lord Drakkon, the battles against Dark Kahn, against Ultron-Sigma, against the Endsinger, against Zetsumu, against Prometheus,..., the end of time, the Big Bang, the New Eras created by the Hourglass, various versions of the judgement days, etc. All the reality, all big things happened, David fell through so many of it. And he got sucked into a singular center to another true rift, leading to a portal.
And David fell into the portal.
Some time later...
Wakes up* "Where... am... I?" David regained consciousness.
David then stood up and looked around.
"What is this?" David looking around. "This looks like Shibuya..."
Turns out, David is now in what looks like the modern-day, non-cyberpunk Shibuya.
"It is night time already?" David noticed that it's in the night.
"Who's this person?" A mysterious man appeared alongside his accomplice.
The man wears a red, rugged jacket, and the accomplice is a fox girl with tails for back hair.
"Who are you!?" David sees them as some strangers.
"Do I know you?" The accomplice asked.
"I don't know you." David responded. "You looked weird as fuck."
"You're in Shibuya-X." The man said. "In my world, yes."
Note: Shibuya-X is pronounced as "Shibuya Cross". Shibuya-X is from 'Namco Capcom' game from year 2005.
"This is all fucked up." David is confused. "I got back to life, then confronted hundreds of dragons, and then fell down through some... weird worlds."
"We've observed a lot of dimensional breakup over the past week." The accomplice told the man.
"Xiaomu, I kind of know this man." The man responded. "He seems to be a legendary criminal from... another world I saw."
"Xiaomu!?" David is shocked to hear the name. "Like... who are you!?"
"I'm Reiji Arisu, agent of Shinra." The man introduced himself. "And this is Xiaomu, my loved partner, also agent of Shinra."
"I'm David Martinez from Santo. Edgerunner from Night City." David introduced.
"You... that city...!" Reiji shocked to learn the identity.
"Oh, well... David!?" Xiaomu shocked too.
"Night City, the City of Dreams. Home to cyberpunks and dreamers." David told Reiji and Xiaomu. "But recently, it's being destroyed by the dragons."
"I'll tell you the things." Reiji then proceeded to explain everything about the adventures.
Cross-trivia: Ouma sought to use rifts, distortions in time and space, to create gates connecting to other worlds. Shinra, knowing the chaos that would result, spared no effort in stopping them.
"And recently, we've received reports of Kyuju Kyu and Byaku Shin missing." Xiaomu reported.
"Where's the proof?" David asked.
"The livestream has been deleted... just under a week ago." Reiji replied.
"What livestream?" David asked back.
"That infamous livestream we didn't get to watch." Xiaomu smugly responded.
"Captain America is coming." Reiji noted the portal behind David.
"Hello there." Captain America of Earth-616 emerged from the portal. "I'm Steve Rogers-"
"Captain America?" David interrupted Steve Rogers. Reiji facepalms.
"Welcome to Shibuya-X." Xiaomu greeted.
"Not everyone believes that: beyond the worlds they know, there lie other, stranger worlds." Reiji warned everyone. "Many still fail to notice that: there are those quietly living in this world who are not of this world."
"The secret government organization Shinra... Basically the government that keeps the worlds in check?" David asked.
"Yes." Reiji confirmed. "Ouma is the organization that tried to merge the worlds Into chaos."
"Ouma culminated with Kyuju Kyu, ultimately Byaku Shin. We were done with it and the worlds were saved." Xiaomu told both David and Steves. "But roughly a year later, we've got the reports."
"That same report of missing... um... creatures?" David asked.
"Yeah." Xiaomu confirmed. "Kyuju Kyu and Byaku Shin are missing now, even though we stopped them."
"There are also rumors that my version of the Avengers, which I'm a founding member of, has killed another versions of the Avengers, when I wasn't involved back then." Steves explained his perspective.
Suddenly, Ouma's minions appeared. They seemed to be out of their minds though.
"It's Ouma!" Reiji noticed the minions surrounding all.
"Looks like the perfect time to demonstrate my ability." David exclaimed.
"For the America and the righteous greatness!" Steves ready to combat.
The party combated the minions, with Reiji and Xiaomu coordinating as typical. Steve Rogers used his Vibranium shield to repel minions' attacks and does uses his fists and feets. David activated Sandevistan, and...
"It's time to show 'em that I'm special." David readies himself. "And how special I am!"
David then runs around the minions and used variety of his cybernetics to attack then. He struck the enemies right before the rest, and shot his cannon into more minions. Many minions is quickly destroyed and killed, and Reiji and Xiaomu finishes the rest with Shinra Bansho: Ultimate. However, because some of the remaining minions tried to escape, David snatched Steve's shield and knocked them all into Shinra's way.
"Die then!" David knocked the last enemies, just in time for Reiji and Xiaomu to initiate.
"Busted!" Reiji then proceeded alongside Xiaomu with the Multi-Attack, killing the remaining minions.
David then return the shield to Steve and deactivates Sandevistan.
"Good job!" Xiaomu congratulates David. "So you know how to fight with those cybernetics, huh?"
"You know how cybernetic works, right?" David responded.
Xiaomu wanted to see more, so she tried to pull David's jacket. However, this earned her another spanking from Reiji, much to David's hilarity.
"What's this?" Steves, as a shining crystal appears.
"Another crystal..." Reiji and David approached the crystal.
"How many do you have?" Steves asked.
"Two." Xiaomu replied. "'Capcom', blue, and 'Bandai Namco', red-orange."
"What's the next crystal?" David asked.
Reiji then touched the crystal. It's rainbow-colored, but flaming hot. It's shows the Smash logo (referring to Super Smash Bros.).
"Super Smash Bros.?" David and Steves surprised.
"Crystal get!" The announcer exclaimed.
"Agh!" David noticed the announcer's voice, so he got dizzy and got glitch.
"What's wrong, mister?" Xiaomu asked David. "We got our third crystal!"
"Someone said..." David mildly recalls. "Ok, what's this?"
A Smash invitation fell down in place of the crystal the Shinra agents just secured. Steve Rogers then picked it up and opened it. It said:
"Call me Zero. You cannot grasp my true power. I am waiting for you, Shinra and Ouma, should you want to find Kyuju Kyu and Byaku Shin. However, remember this: I'm going to defeat all of reality. All will bow to me eventually. Be it."
"Let's head to Shinra HQ immediately." Reiji told everyone.
"But where?" David and Steves asked in unison.
"Present day, Roppongi, Tokyo." Xiaomu responded.
"I'm from year 2077, but not your world." David reminded the Shinra agents. "Here we go!" *activates Sandevistan and runs away*
"Uh... How about we use the portal?" Steves asked.
"Fair point." Reiji replied, and they all used the portal.
Everyone is headed to Shinra HQ.
