Totally didn't forget to write this-
I'm cutting it a little close, seeing as how I'm writing this at 9PM, bUT WE AIN'T GONNA TALK ABOUT THAT-
ahem*
I present to you, The Twelve Days of Christmas: SBI & Beeduo Edition!
It was a chilly, glittering winter morning. Snow coated the ground and pine trees in a soft blanket. In the distance, past the forest, a small cottage sat with smoke drifting out of the chimney. It was a picturesque scene out of a painting. The cool air was still and quiet. All was peaceful and calm. Until...
"FUCK OFF!!"
Cackling laughter filled the air. A blonde boy was perched on top of one of the highest tree branches and hugging said tree. He glared down at the source of the mocking noise, a piglin hybrid man whose face told absolute glee.
Technoblade grinned at Tommy, wiping a fake tear from his eye. "Oh MAN, look at this LOSER! Can you imagine getting stuck in a tree? What are you, a cat?"
Tommy's face turned red, either from humiliation or rage. "OH, FUCK YOU MAN!"
"HAHA, I can't believe this! What a LOSER!"
Tommy, getting more furious by the second, raised a fist to shake at Techno. He immediately began to wobble on the branch, nearly toppling over. He gave a shout of fear and clung to the trunk of the tree. Tommy let out a shaky exhale. Techno's laughter grew louder.
"You need some help there, Tommy?" Techno wasn't even trying to hide the taunt in his voice. Tommy growled at him, pride injured but too panicked to actually do anything.
"Fuck you, man! Don't you have some potatoes to farm or some shit?!" Tommy shifted on the branch, searching for the safest way to get down. Finding no way out of his pickle, he decided to go for plan B. Taking a deep breath in, he screamed at the top of his lungs.
"PHILLLLLL!!"
No response. He tried again.
"PHIIIIIILLLLLLLL!!!"
Technoblade's laughter eventually dissipated into sniggering. He smirked at the boy, the farming hoe sitting beside him in the snow long forgotten. This was way more entertaining than farming potatoes.
Tommy frowned when his da- ahem, when Phil didn't come like he normally did when Tommy shouted for him. "Where the fuck is he?" He muttered grumpily.
"Phil's gone, you idiot." Techno snorted. "He went to go trade at that village, remember?"
Tommy's frown deepened. "How am I supposed to get down now?!" He whined.
"Have you tried climbing?"
"Fuck you."
"I'm good, thanks."
"Wha- NO- THAT'S NOT- THAT'S NOT WHAT I- NO-!" Tommy sputtered, caught off guard by Techno's comeback. He scowled when Techno chortled. "You are the worst kind of man."
Whatever response Techno had to that was never said when a deathly crack filled the otherwise hushed winter air. Tommy's wide eyes met Techno's for half a second before he dropped, the branch he was sitting on refusing to hold his weight any longer. Techno immediately sprang into action before he had the chance to think.
Tommy plummeted towards the ground, hitting several branches that broke his fall. And possibly a few bones. Techno leapt and caught him before he could collide with a large, sharp rock that he was heading straight for. He rolled onto a soft patch of snow on the ground with Tommy wrapped in his arms.
Technoblade propped Tommy against a tree in a sitting position and inspected him for injures. He looked to be in considerable pain, holding his arm with one hand. His breathing was wheezy and irregular- maybe a broken rib. Other than that, he seemed to be okay. Techno exhaled imperceptibly. A broken arm and rib- not ideal, but Tommy had lived through worse.
"You alright?" He asked, masking his worry as apathy.
Tommy scoffed. "Alright?! I almost just DIED!"
"You'll be fine." Techno replied, rolling his eyes. "Do you have any head injuries? Or, should I say, any more head injuries than usual?"
Tommy glowered and tried to get up, moving his wounded arm in doing so. He winced and sat back down. He bit down on his lower lip to keep any tears from leaking out of his eyes, because he's a big man and big men don't cry.
Techno sighed and reached into his bag, pulling out a healing potion. He wordlessly handed it to Tommy, who took it with his good hand and uncorked the bottle with his mouth. He gulped down the contents in five seconds flat. He shuddered as the potion took effect. The look of pain on his face eased a bit.
The potion wouldn't completely heal him, they both knew. But it started the healing process and numbed the pain, which was an enormous help. Techno had broken enough bones to know that it was incredibly painful.
"Come on, let's get back to the house." Techno offered his hand to Tommy, who took it after hesitating for only a second. Techno helped him up and let him lean on him a little bit. Tommy was still gasping in breaths, and he coughed a couple times, which couldn't be a good sign. But, in the glittering snow and hushed morning air, Tommy was grateful to have The Blade- to have Techno by his side. Even if he was an asshole.
(Phil scolded them later when he got home. "How did you even get in the tree?!" He asked incredulously as he bandaged Tommy's chest.)
