Izuku-
This place is insane! I thought, looking at the mansion in front of me. "I-I'm going to be l-learning here?"
"Yup, sure are kid. Let's go," Logan said, taking his helmet off and walking up.
I quickly followed him and we were stopped at the front by a girl with long brown hair and was slightly taller than me. The two of them seemed to have an argument or were just joking with each other. I was then led upstairs to an office where a man in a wheelchair sat.
"Hello Izuku, I'm professor Xavier. This is my ability, it can go past language so we won't need an interpreter. So, first thing first, would you like to be able to speak english?" a low calm, soothing voice asked.
"Um, yes," I thought.
"Well, one of the students here has a mutation that lets them allow others to speak any language as long as they agree. I can ask them to give you the ability to speak English, however the process is a bit odd and honestly a bit unorthodox."
"Can't be too bad." I thought.
…
"Kid?" Logan asked, as I just stood frozen.
"I wouldn't have guessed that he would react like this. I mean it was just a small kiss," the girl who just kissed me said.
"S-sorry, I-I j-just wasn't e-expecting th-that," I stuttered in perfect English.
"Well, I guess it worked. See ya later," the girl with blonde hair and pink highlights said, walking away.
"Alright, well let's continue our discussion," Professor Xavier said. "You believe you aren't in your universe so we can do a number of things. We can send you to your universe or you can stay here and learn and be a member of the X-Men or Avengers possibly. The choice is yours."
"I-I think I'm going to stay," I said. "No one would miss me from my universe so here it's like a new start. I'm a new mutant so I feel like I belong here."
"New Mutant eh?" Logan said, looking at the professor.
"Not yet Logan, but I will think about it. Now, you will be bunking with another student if that would be alright with you."
"Yes," I said.
"I'll take him to meet the elf," Logan said.
"Elf?" I asked.
"He means your new roommate. Kurt is the only male student who doesn't have a roommate," the professor explained.
"Alright," I said. Logan then led me out of the room. He knocked on the door and I heard a BAMF sound and then my spider senses went off. I turned to see a blue skinned and haired boy with pointed ears and fangs.
"Guten tag," the boy said.
"Hey, this is your new roommate," Logan said.
"H-hello, I'm Izuku Midoriya," I said.
"Hi, I'm Kurt Wagner or Nightcrawler," he said.
"Is that your hero name?"
"Ja, I joined the X-Men at one point."
"Joined isn't the word I would use. More like you teleported into the ship after stealing a uniform and got caught and we just let you help us," Logan said.
"You can't blame us for wanting to join you," the girl with long brown hair said, walking up to us.
"Hey Kitty," Kurt said.
"Hey Kurt, are you new here? Wait, are you the boy who Piper used her mutation on?" Kitty asked.
"Yes, I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's nice to meet you," I said, adding a slight bow.
"Um, what's with the bow?" Kitty asked, giggling.
"Oh, um, sorry, bad habit from home," I said.
"Oh, and where's home for you?" Kurt asked.
"Um, Japan. Also another universe," I said.
"Cool, how did you get sent to this one?" Kurt asked.
"Are you planning on going back?" Kitty asked.
"Um, a power messing up, and no. I don't really have anything there so I decided to stay here where I can have a new start," I said, giving a small smile.
"That's good. Well, I got a class in a few minutes, nice to meet you Izuku. See ya in math Kurt," Kitty said, falling through the floor.
"Umm, the floor ate her?" I asked.
"No, she can go through anything. I can do this," Kurt said, disappearing into a puff of smoke and a small spark. The door to the dorm opened and Kurt was there.
"You can teleport and I guess you have to either see where you're going or you've had to have been there before," I said, trying to figure out the limits to his power.
"Ja, that's exactly it. Does your mutation let you figure out others' powers?"
"Um, no. I don't know if I can tell you," I said, looking at Logan.
"It's up to you if you tell others and openly use it or keep it a secret," Logan said.
"Alright, well, I can take any powers and using the DNA of a person I can make it my own. I currently have powers from Logan, Captain America, and Ultimate Spiderman," I said, using Miles' hero name.
"Wow, you would be an amazing hero with just those powers. If you could get more that would be amazing," Kurt said. "Here, I'll show you where your bed is," he said, stepping off to the side for me to go in.
"I'll leave you two for now. Izuku, if you need anything don't be afraid to ask anyone," Logan said, walking back where we came from.
I walked into the dorm room and noticed that half of it had nothing while the other had posters for bands like Black Sabbath, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At the Disco, and Twenty One Pilots. I set the bag with the clothes that Peter gave me on the bed on the side with nothing.
"Sorry if my posters bother you. I can take them down if you want me to," Kurt said.
"It's fine, I've actually heard of a couple of those bands. I don't really have much right now. Peter said he would send me something but I don't know what," I said.
"Who's Peter?" Kurt asked.
"Peter Parker of Parker Ind. He's the one who found me when I kinda appeared in his lab when I first arrived in this universe," I explained.
"Wow, that's cool. The Professor has received a few devices for students who can't fully control their mutations. He's always been a nice guy with a focus on helping people. Most say it's because he was inspired by May Parker who helped people with an organization called Feast. While they have the same last name she has no known connection to him. You should have seen what happened when he got together with Tony Stark of Stark Ind., Hank Pym of Pym Tech., and Reed Richards of Future Foundation. They made a sentient robot called Ultron. He actually tried to destroy the world and that's when mutants had to help," Kurt said.
"I'm guessing that's the mission you and P-Kitty snuck on," I said, almost using her last name.
"Ja, it was interesting. We fought some of the smaller bots but not the main one," Kurt said. "You should have seen Logan's face when he found us. It was terrifying. Oh, dinner's going to start soon. Let's go, I will introduce you to my friends," Kurt said, grabbing my wrist and using his power.
"Woah," I said, disoriented from the unexpected change in location.
"Oops, sorry. I forgot you hadn't done that yet," Kurt said, sheepishly scratching the back of his head.
"It's alright, I just wasn't expecting that."
"Kurt, what have we told you about teleporting?" a tall man with brown hair, a blue sweater, blue jeans, and red sunglasses.
"Sorry Scott. I just wanted to make sure my new roommate got some of the good stuff," Kurt said.
"Ah, you must be the new student Xavier told us about. I'm Scott Summers, I teach english," he said, holding his hand out.
"Izuku Midoriya," I said, shaking it.
"Ah, who is this you have with you Kurt?" a big man said in a Russian accent, walking up to us.
"Piotr meet my new roommate, Izuku," Kurt said.
"Ah, hello. Nice to meet you. I am Piotr or Colossus," he said.
"I guess I could tell you my hero name. I'm Cyclops," Scott said.
"Wait, are both of you X-Men?" I asked.
"Yeah, Piotr is a newer member. I'm one of the older members. There are a few who have been members longer than I have," Scott said.
"Wow, that's cool."
"Ja, you should see some of their fights. The whole team is almost never together but when they are it's like when I was with the circus," Kurt said, laughing.
"While we are a bit chaotic at times we are more organized than you would think," a big large furry man wearing a suit and glasses said, walking up.
"Um, h-hello," I said, shrinking at the sight of him.
"Don't be frightened of my appearance. I'm Hank, one of the teachers here. I focus on science and philosophy," Hank said, smiling.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Izuku Midoriya," I said, returning the smile.
"Ah, the professor told me about you. We will work on getting a schedule set up for you tomorrow if that would be alright with you," Hank said.
"Alright," I said.
"Food's ready, let's go," Kurt said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me behind him.
We got to the cafeteria and I could smell the food. We got some and sat at a table together. Eventually Kitty, Piper, a girl with black hair and was taller than me, another girl about my height with blonde hair, and a boy with short black hair who was also taller than me joined us.
"So, are you the kid dad told me about, who has our mutation?" the black haired girl asked.
"Dad?" I asked.
"Logan, I'm his sorta daughter named Laura. Don't ask what I mean by sorta daughter either," she said, glaring at me.
"Oh, um, yeah," I said.
"Wait, how do you have their mutation? Oh, I'm Tim by the way, Tim Drake," the boy said.
"Well, my mutation let's me take any power and make it my own. I was badly injured so Logan and Captain America gave me some of their blood so I have their powers along with the Ultimate Spider-Man's because somehow some of his DNA got in me," I explained.
"Wait, so does that mean you have Piper's mutation? Oh, I'm Illyana by the way but everyone calls me Illya," the blonde girl asked.
"Um, I-I don't think so. I think I need to have their DNA not contact or I would have Kurt's mutation by now," I said.
"Hmm, but you keep them, that's different from Rogue," Kitty said.
"Rogue?" I asked.
"Another student. She copies a mutation but it drains the person who she is taking it from and she doesn't keep it unless she keeps in physical contact," Tim explained.
"Interesting, I guess people can have similar mutations."
"Yeah, take Kurt and me for example. We both have teleportation mutations but they are very different," Illyana said.
"Well that's cool," I said.
"Well, since everyone has told you theirs I guess I should as well," Tim said. "Mine is weird, the base would be my detective and investigator abilities but I also have slightly heightened senses and acrobatic skills. I'm also technically a genius but I'm not sure if it's part of my mutation or not."
"Wow, that sounds like a wonder," I said.
"Heh, funny you say that," Piper said. "His nickname is Boy Wonder."
"That is amazing, within a minute he decided what everyone else has," Kitty said.
"Ugh," Tim sighed.
"Ha, Tim hates being called that," Kurt said.
"Oh, I'm sorry," I said.
"It's alright, not like you knew. I worked with a hero for a bit of time before something happened and he told me to come here and get better," Tim said.
"So, if you have Spider-Man's powers do you have web shooters?" Piper asked.
"Oh, no. All I know is that I'm getting something from Peter but he didn't say what or how," I said.
"Well, are you going to join a team later?" Kitty asked.
"I'm thinking of becoming a hero, yeah. I wish we could at least do something here to train," I sighed.
"Who says there isn't?" Laura asked.
"Wait, is there some sort of training room?" I asked.
"Don't give him ideas yet," Kitty said. "He just got here."
"I agree, let's wait for what he gets from Parker Ind. first," Tim said.
"I agree, he's still squishy and not even in classes," Piper said.
"Heh, I wouldn't say squishy," I said. "Captain America's powers did quite a number on my strength."
"Izuku, can you please come to the entrance?" I heard the professor say.
"What?" I asked, looking around.
"Ah, I think the professor asked for him," Kurt said.
"Only you can hear him if he calls for just you," Illyana said.
"Oh," I said. "Um, yeah sure. I'll catch up with you guys in a bit," I said, getting up. I found my way to the front and found the professor with two men in robes. I then noticed a girl with periwinkle hair. "Um, what do you need, professor?"
"Izuku, Dr. Strange was confused when this young lady fell from the sky out of a portal similar to what happened to you," the professor said.
"Pleasure to meet you. Parker told me about you," the man with the red cloak said. "I'm Dr. Stephen Strange, Sorcerer Supreme."
"Izuku Midoriya, mutant?" I said.
"Heh, well, seeing as how she speaks Japanese the professor thought that you would be able to talk to her," Dr. Strange said.
"Alright," I said. "[Hi, I'm Izuku Midoriya, what's your name?]"
"[Nejire Hado, where are we?]" she asked.
"[In America, specifically a school for mutants.]"
"[You don't look like a mutant,]" she said.
"[Quick question, who's the number one hero right now?]" I asked.
"[All Might, why?]" she said.
"She's from my world," I said. "[Alright, this is going to sound strange but we aren't in our world. Quirks aren't a thing here, there are several forms of powers like mutants, scientific, magical, and many more,]" I explained.
"[Wait, our world. So do you have a quirk?]" she asked.
"[Um, no. I was born with an x-gene. I'm a mutant.]"
"[Oh, um, is there a way back home?]"
"[Not yet. I'm planning on staying here anyways so you might as well just stay for now,]" I said.
"[Alright, also I've noticed you can speak English perfectly, mind me asking how and can I do it too?]" she asked.
"[Um, we can see about that,]" I said. "So she is going to stay here and was curious if she could speak English like me," I said.
"Well, Wong and I shall take our leave," Dr. Strange said, creating a portal with his hands that the two men walked through.
"Well, let's go in and see if Piper will assist us," the professor said.
The three of us walked in and came across Piper and Kitty.
"Hey, you said you needed me, professor," Piper said.
"Yes, this young lady will be staying with us and as she is from the same dimension as Izuku I was thinking you might give her the ability to speak the English language," the professor said.
"Oh, sure thing," Piper said before walking up to Nejire. Not even giving a warning Piper just started kissing Nejire. What surprised me was that Nejire leaned into it and the two of them just stayed there for a minute or two.
"D-does she n-normally do th-this?" I asked Kitty.
"Um, I've never seen it go this long," Kitty admitted.
I turned to see that the professor had left but there was a note saying that a person named Jean would be here to show her to her room in a bit.
"W-we should go," I said.
"Right behind you," Kitty said.
The two of them walked to one of the lounges no one was in and sat down. We sat in silence for a good few minutes before either could speak.
"Let's agree to never speak of that again," I said.
"Yep."
"So, I guess we can get to know more about each other," I suggested.
"Sure, what kind of music do you listen to?"
"Panic! At the Disco, Skillet, My Chemical Romance, Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Twenty One Pilots, and Ed Sharen(this is my music taste judge me as you will) and other artists like them," I said.
"So, emo, rock, and pop then?"
"I guess that's an easier way of saying it," I said laughing.
"I listen to mostly pop," Kitty said.
"It's a good genre. So, who's your roommate?"
"Piper," Kitty said.
"O-oh," I said. "Did you know she's," I started.
"Bi? Yeah, we've talked about it and I will admit we kissed once. While neither of us disliked it we figured it would make things weird with us being roommates and everything."
"Oh, so you're also bi then?"
"Yes, though I do lean more towards females," Kitty said. "How about you?"
"Oh, um, well," I said. I then thought back to the one time I told a girl I liked her.
"Hey, you alright?" Kitty asked.
"H-huh?"
"Your face just kinda fell. Did something happen in the past?" Kitty asked.
"Where I come from, being quirkless is the worst thing. I-I told a g-girl I l-liked her and she, she laughed in my face and told everyone. Let's just s-say I-I walked away from school with more injuries than I went there with," I said.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to have to relive that again," Kitty said.
"I-it's fine," I said. I then felt a pair of lips on my cheek.
"Hope you accept my apology," Kitty said before phasing through the wall.
I then slowly got up and started walking around the halls until I came across Scott.
"Hey Izuku, lost?" Scott asked.
"Yeah, this place is too big," I said.
"Where are you trying to get to?"
"Kurt and my room," I said.
"Follow me, I'm in the same hallway," he said, turning down the hall we were in.
"Um, if you don't mind me asking, what's your mutation?"
"My eyes shoot a laser beam. If I'm not wearing my glasses or the special visor I use when in my x-men uniform it will constantly shoot."
"Wait, so do you sleep with one on?" I asked.
"Yes," he said, laughing. "It was slightly uncomfortable at first but I got used to it. Alright, here's the hall. Your room is on the other side and two doors down from mine. If you ever need anything come let me know," Scott said, walking into his room. I then walked down to my room and found Kurt already in there.
"Ah, there you are. We should trade phone numbers," Kurt said.
"Um, I don't have a phone," I said.
"Oh, perhaps Peter is going to give you one," Kurt said. "I wouldn't put it past him. It could be a number of things because he does work with the Spider-Men."
"Oh, I guess we'll see when it comes," I said. "I'm gonna sleep for now. See you in the morning," I said, plopping on to my bed.
As the darkness took me I opened my eyes and realized I was sitting. In front of me was a boy with dark obsidian black hair and blood red eyes sitting in a more ornate but also comfortable chair.
"Well kid, you just made my job a lot more difficult, but also you might be the better solution. I just hope you're not as self sacrificing as, well, you," he said. "Well, we'll find out when the time comes. Now, well, have some fun and try to learn to use your new powers," he added smiling.
My vision then went dark again and I jolted awake in a cold sweat. Kurt woke up too and looked over at me.
"Izuku? Are you good?" Kurt asked.
"N-no, I don't think so, I don't know what happened but I-I can't remember," I said.
"I'll go get Scott, he can have the professor help," Kurt said, getting up and going out to the hall.
"Izuku?" Scott asked, walking in. "What happened?"
"I-I-I can't remember, it was a dream, but it felt real if that makes sense?" I said.
"We're going to go get the professor. Kurt stay here, thanks for coming and getting me," Scott said, leading me out of the room.
We walked down a bunch of halls until we got to a bookcase where Scott pulled a book and the statue next to the case turned as a bright metal tiny room appeared behind it. We went in and Scott hit a button and we went down and I realized this was an elevator. We went down to a metal hallway and went to a room that looked like a medical room only more advanced. I saw the professor was there already.
"Ah, hello young man. I was told something happened, mind giving me more information?" the professor asked.
"Um, I had a dream, but it felt too real. I can't remember anything," I said.
"Hmm, and it was enough to make you wake up sweating. Let's have a little look," the professor said, putting his hand on my forehead. "Ugh!"
"Professor," Scott said, jumping.
"I'm fine. Just had a strange conversation. That boy was strange, he said we weren't ready for what he was talking about. When I asked who he was he said his name was Andrew, but I don't know how he knows more than he will share," the professor said.
"A-am I ok?" I asked.
"Oh, yes of course you are. I think he was just as surprised to see you there as much as you were," the professor said.
"So, I'm not in danger then," I said.
"No, and even if you were, we would help you," Scott said.
"I guess we might as well start that program," the professor said.
"Really?" Scott asked. "I thought Logan meant it as a joke."
"What program?" I asked.
"I'll tell you about it when we set up your schedule. The rest who this will affect shall be informed as well. Why don't you just relax because everything will be alright," the professor said.
"Alright, um, Scott can you please lead me back?" I asked.
"Sure thing," he said, smiling. He led me back to my dorm where Kurt was already sleeping again.
I went back to my bed and laid down thinking about everything that has happened since I came to this world. I almost died, got a bunch of powers, met some amazing people, and now met someone in my dream who knows more about what is going on than me.
"What has my life become?" I asked myself.
I then fell back into the darkness of sleep and woke in the morning with no dreams. I looked and saw that Kurt was gone with a note. {Hey, I had to get to class and didn't want to wake you. Oh, Kitty said that if you go to lunch to look for her.}I got dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a dark green hoodie. I went to the cafeteria and got a plate with bacon and hashbrowns. I saw Kitty sitting by herself.
"Hey Kitty, Kurt said you wanted to talk," I said, sitting down.
"Yeah, um, he mentioned something happened last night and I wanted to check on you and make sure you're good," she said.
"Yeah, just a little shaken. Still, the professor and Scott were talking about something, a program that I might join when we set up my classes," I said.
"Oh, I wonder what it is?" Kitty said.
"So, um, I do have to ask about when you k-kissed my cheek," I started.
"It was an apology, I made you feel bad and so I thought it would cheer you up. Most guys would be more than ecstatic about a cute girl kissing their cheek," she said, smiling.
"It's not that it's just, with what we were talking about beforehand," I said.
"O-oh, you thought I was hitting on you?" Kitty asked. "While you're kind and cute, I flirt with most people and so I didn't have any ulterior motives. Unless, you wanted me to," she said smirking.
"Please stop," I said, putting my head down.
"Alright, couldn't stop myself from teasing you a little bit."
"It's fine, just not so much at once please," I said.
"Sure thing. I don't have any classes today so do you want to hang out for a bit?" she asked. "I can show you around."
"Sure, thanks," I said.
The two of us finished breakfast and she showed me how to navigate the different halls and we went outside and she showed me the tennis court, basketball court and the path they had for walking and running round the garden. We went to the front and she was going to show me another place when my Spider Senses went off and I turned to catch a tennis ball that was going to hit me in the head.
"Wow, Peter was right. You are just like him," a woman with silvery white hair said walking up to us.
"Um, do I know you?" I asked.
"Me, no, my boyfriend, yes," she said. "I'm Felicia, Peter Parker's girlfriend. He asked if I could give you something since I was nearby," she said, taking out a box and tossing it at me.
I caught it with ease and opened it to see two bracelets, a piece of glass with metal on both ends, and a small wallet. I took the wallet and opened it to see a bunch of cash.
"W-woah. I-I can't accept this," I said.
"He said to take it as a gift. Also you need money and a phone," Felicia said.
"What are the bracelets?"
"Web-shooters. There's a video on the phone on how to use them too," she added.
"I need to thank him at some point," I said.
"There's a few numbers he thought you would like to have. Most are for emergencies only though, but he said that he wouldn't mind you messaging him a few times. Also, he said when you want a suit to ask him and he'd make you something," Felicia added.
I went through the contacts and found the one labeled 'Peter P' . I quickly wrote a text thanking him.
"Ah, Ms. Hardy, not here to steal anything I hope," the professor said, rolling up.
"You know I gave that up years ago. Even if I was, you would be able to tell immediately so there would be no point."
"Just making sure, I see Mr. Midoriya has some new technology. Those are what I think they are, correct?"
"Yes, Pete made them just for him."
"Well then, since Miss Pryde is here why don't you both follow me," the professor said.
"Oh, um, thank you Ms. Hardy," I said, following the professor.
We went down to the white walled hallways under the school and went to a room where Kurt, Piper, Laura, Tim, and Illya were standing with Scott, Logan, and Hank on the other side.
"Alright, now that the team is assembled we can explain what is going on," Hank said.
"A few years ago when some troublesome kids snuck on a mission I came up with an idea," Logan said. "Get a group of kids together and have them do some small missions to prepare them for when they are older. I thought we could call this team The New Mutants."
"And, recently the professor has decided to go with this idea and he has chosen those that are here will be the first members of this team. You will go on small missions but only after some training," Scott said.
"During both these training and missions you will have a member of the X-Men with you. While it might depend on who's available and who is better for a mission you will most likely have worked with them during at least one training," Hank added.
"Wait, so do we get our own costumes or X-Men uniforms?" Kurt asked.
"We can work that out later," the professor said. "Today we will start on your training exercises. If you have equipment then you were asked to bring it. You will use the danger room to practice for the rest of the day with Logan and Scott. Izuku, you will work with Hank and another person with your web shooters," the professor said, looking at all of us. "You are the New Mutants, time to get you trained up."

So, Nejire got pulled in, there's a strange man who knows more than anyone else, and Izuku is ready to be a hero. Something I should say is that Nejire will not be the only person from the MHA universe who will be brought over. Tell me who you think should be brought over and if this should have an impact on their powers. Also my Dusk fic will not be continued and I am picking my Legacy fic back up.
