Chapter 2
Monica and Chandler have returned from their trip to Paris. Monica was sent to Paris for some work with Louis Vuitton and Chandler decided to tag along with her in order to explore Paris for his curiosity about Parisian architecture and get some inspiration from the magnificent architecture of Paris.
"Hey guys, how was your trip to Paris?" Ross asks them
"It was awesome." Chandler replied.
"That's good to know." Ross replied.
"What about me?" Monica asked while seeking attention from her brother.
"Okay, come here." Ross envelopes his sister into a hug and soothes his jealous little sister.
"Where's Emma?" Monica asked noticing her niece's absence.
"She'll be here soon along with Rachel, she is in her school." Ross tells her
Just then, someone knocks the door. It turns out to be Rachel and Emma.
"Hey little munchkin." Monica greets her niece while bending down on her knees.
"Hi aunt Monica." Emma comes to her and gives her a hug.
They all sit in Monica's apartment with Phoebe and Joey joining them later.
"Guys, I want to tell you something." Monica tried to grab everyone's attention.
"Are you pregnant?" Joey guessed.
"We're getting married." Monica squealed.
"Congrats." Rachel hugged her best friend
"Congrats pal." Ross hugged his best friend."If you hurt my sister, I'll hunt you down and kick your ass." Ross playfully warned him
Chandler chuckled on this. But deep down, he knew it was for the well being of his sister.
They all casually start discussing and Emma is asleep in the guest room of Monica's apartment. The guys are in Joey's apartment while the girls were sitting in Monica's apartment.
"Ross, so how is work going on?" Joey casually asks him
"It's fine. I mean now I'm promoted to the senior level and it's hectic with Emma and everything. But I love my job more." Ross tells
"That's nice." Chandler added.
"So Chandler, how are your projects going on?" Ross asks Chandler
"Man, I wish my boss in not a dickhead. I mean seriously, he seriously is a pain in the ass and we have a client meeting tomorrow to discuss the design for the new headquarters for CitiCorp in the lower Manhattan." Chandler tells him
"That's nice. And I mean it." Ross tells him
"And that's not it, my boss thinks that his design would be nice but it looks like this." Chandler shows his iPhone and shows the photo of the planned building
"That looks like a penis." Joey winced
"I know, it kind of sucks." Chandler agreed
"Why don't you show your design?" Ross casually asked
"Here we go." Chandler shows his design on his phone
"This is cool man." Joey tells him
"I know."

Almost four weeks ago, after Rachel revealed to Monica about how she was having feelings for Ross .She wanted to tell him that she felt about him while he was skeptical to date any girl since his divorce. Later, after a few days, Ross and Rachel decided to go on a blind date.
Flashback:
"Monica, I want to tell you something." Rachel prompted Monica
"Tell me" Monica asked her to continue.
"I have a huge crush on Ross. But don't get me wrong Mon, it's just not that I'm in love with his money or I am running after his wealth, I just want him so bad and I even love Emma so much." Rachel confessed. "And truth be told, I just love him for what he is now and what he was before."
"That's awesome Rach. I had always been rooting for you both. And Emma needs a mother figure in her life and I know that you can give her some of your maternal love." Monica tells her
"Thanks Mon." Rachel was flustered.
"Rach, one thing that I want to tell you is that please don't break his heart no matter what. Jessica broke his heart by sleeping with a rich guy and then she abandoned him and Emma when she was a six month old infant and that's the last thing he needs." Monica revealed.
"I won't Mon." Rachel assured her. She imagined what her life would be with Ross along with becoming a step mother for Emma.
Present:
Ross let Monica babysit Emma for the night as she and Monica enjoyed baking cookies and Monica enjoyed spoiling her only niece. Meanwhile, Ross and Rachel were getting ready for their blind date. Just then, they both come outside of their apartments. Rachel looked really like an angel. She was wearing a black strapless dress along with heels while Ross wore a black blazer with a blue shirt along with a black tie.
"You look beautiful." Ross complemented her
"Thanks." She replied. "You look like an American version of James Bond." Rachel complemented him.
"Thanks." Ross replied. "Okay, if you don't want to be late, we better hurry up.
"Yeah." Rachel chuckled.
He offers her his hand and they both go in his BMW X5 and as a gentleman, he opens the door for her on the passenger side and then gets in the driver's seat
"Nice car." Rachel admired. Her father was also a rich surgeon and she also grew up in a privileged household. She broke up with her fiancee because he wanted to stop her working and she didn't agree with. She got her first job with Levi's after graduating college and Monica got a job with Louis Vuitton and was working with LV for almost 5 years since college and with Monica's help, she started working with Louis Vuitton and moved from San Francisco.
"Thanks, but these don't provide happiness to me. I just live by the moment." Ross cockily replied." And FYI, I bought this car after I was promoted to a senior level and it's a good feeling to buy something with your own hard earned money." Ross beamed with pride.
"That's nice about you." Rachel admired his thoughts." And I really agree upon that."
"Looks like we have reached." Ross stopped the car near the parking space.
"Haha, yeah." Rachel giggled.
He double parked the car and gets out of the driver seat and then he opens the door all by himself and reaches out for her hand and they both get away from the car. Later, when they reach the table, the maître d' shows them their table and they both start to talk with each other
"So, what prompted you to take economics and business?" Rachel casually asked him
"I was always fascinated with Economics and Coding since high school and I really wanted to do it. And I got a good SAT score and a full scholarship in MIT and majored in economics and I first worked with JP Morgan Chase and then I developed a serious interest to bolster my credentials and did an MBA from UPenn Wharton and after that I landed a job in Goldman Sachs." Ross tells her. "Enough about me, what about you?" Ross asks her
"So, I was always into fashion. And, I met Monica at the first day of our college and to my surprise, we were roommates and I always loved fashion and I decided to pursue it as my full time career." Rachel tells
"That's really great of you Rach." Ross complemented her
They both ended up discussing on many topics and in fact, the completely hit it off with each other. Rachel loved him for what he really was a caring father for Emma and loved his sister and most of all, found happiness in smallest of the small things. While Ross admired her for her courage and her passion for her job just like he had for his.
A few hours later, Ross and Rachel come into their apartment and she and Ross casually start talking. They both start to kiss each other but, she started to laugh for some reason as he kept his hands on her butt. She couldn't control her laughter but was surprised to see him as a good kisser.

After a few weeks since they went for their blind date, Ross and Rachel decided to take their relationship slowly. They both wanted to keep their relationship hidden from Emma for a while because if anything happened between them, they could keep it to themselves and not hurt a kid in the process. Meanwhile, the gang welcomed the news and were happy to see them both dating. It was a beautiful day in New York and Ross was still stuck in a meeting with the client. After a while, he was alone in his cabin and analyzing some financial reports. Just then, someone knocks the door.
"Come in." Ross absent mindedly tells the person and it turned out to be Rachel.
"Hey you." Rachel greeted sensually
"Rachel, what a surprise?" Ross was clearly surprised to see her and he lowers the blinds of his cabin they both kiss each other. "So, what brings you here?" He casually asks her
"I just thought of visiting my boyfriend." Rachel seductively tells him
"That's really nice of you." Ross replied.
"So how was your day?" Rachel casually asks her
"Uhm, just closed a deal with Thaddeus Strauss. He is a real pain in the ass." Ross replied while rubbing his head
"Oh honey." They both hugged each other. She felt secure in his arms while, he felt really good with hugs were very intimate and that really portrayed their chemistry.
They both have their lunches and casually talk and enjoy each other's company. These days, even Emma was also noticing the cues between her father and Rachel and was excited on the prospect of Rachel become her step mother.
