Eighteen months later.

'Henry, Kingsley, you're going to miss breakfast if you don't get your asses out of bed now,' yelled Emma from where she was standing at the stove cooking pancakes. Her now twelve-year-old twin sons were notorious for sleeping in and this was the regime every single morning.

It had been quite the shock for Emma to find out that she had another son when he'd turned up on her doorstep almost two years ago. That was twice it had happened to her now, and the blonde had been weary of opening her door ever since, just in case there were anymore of her long-lost children out there. However, Kingsley's mother had assured her that Henry and he were the only ones.

It took Emma almost a week to track down her ex and sometimes she really wished that she hadn't because that reunion had only left her with more questions, and she hadn't enjoyed the conversation that she had to have with Henry. It was too much for him, finding out he had a twin brother and another mother right after he had lost Regina, and he didn't speak to anyone for almost six months.

Emma nearly resorted to therapy until he had come to her one day and broke down about how much he missed Regina. They had cried, talked and shared their favourite memories of her, and the blonde had promised him that she still hadn't given up and that he would see her again one day.

Kingsley had been a big help; he had refused to leave his brother's side during the six months that Henry wasn't himself. He had sat and talked to him even though his twin never answered back. He was so much like Emma. He was bold, brave and protective, but the blonde had noticed straight away that he had a dark side. He got angry quickly, and he lashed out a lot, especially at his mother. He blamed her for having to grow up without Emma and Henry. He had never hurt anyone physically, but he had destroyed the apartment a few times.

Emma could normally calm him down, which was a relief to everyone who lived in the apartment, more so his other mother, who had absolutely no control over him. Yes, Emma had gained some house mates that came in the form of her ex girlfriend, her ex girlfriend's husband, and their young daughter as well as the blonde's own son. But the most peculiar thing about the whole situation was not that she was now living with her ex and her ex's family, but who her ex and her family were.

Yes, Emma got quite the shock when she turned up at her ex's house with Rumple and Henry. She had gotten out if the car and knocked on the door which was answered a few seconds later by a man who she would recognise anywhere, she had been just about to lift her hand to punch him in the face when gold had come hobbling up the path crying. 'Bae, Bae my boy is that you?' And it turned out that it was, in fact, Bae, Rumpelstiltskin's long-lost son but also Neal, the man that had gotten Emma sent to jail for a crime he committed, and then apparently ran off with her ex and raised her son.

Turned out that Neal had known all about Emma being the saviour because August, her foster brother who she now knew was also Pinocchio, had told him because apparently, he was also the one that wrote Henry's book. Oh, and her ex, Lily? Yep, she was also a fairy-tale character. She was Maleficent's daughter, though she said she hadn't known that until after Emma got sent to jail.

Lily hadn't known she was pregnant until she was seven months, but by this point, she was already in a relationship with Neal and they were living with August. When she found out, she said she was going to keep them, but apparently August had convinced her to give one of them to Emma. That was when he had told her about Storybrooke and who they all were. Lily hadn't believed him at first until Neal had backed up his story and told her he was also from that world. When she had given birth, she had taken one baby and left the other one with August.

Kingsley had heard his mom and dad arguing one day. Lily was shouting about wanting to tell him the truth about who he was and who his other parent was and Neal was trying to convince her otherwise. He had stormed into the room and demanded to know what they were talking about. Lily had told him that he had another mother and that her name was Emma Swan, and that he had a twin out there somewhere. She hadn't been sure whether Emma had kept Henry.

Kingsley told her that he wanted to find his other mother, and Lily had reluctantly agreed. They searched for months before Lily had given up, Kingsley though had held onto hope, and one day a letter was posted through his door with an address to an apartment in Boston. He hadn't told his parents, but instead had packed a bag and took a bus to Emma's, and that was where he found her and Henry.

Lily had given him Emma's surname; on his birth certificate, his name was Kingsley Emmett Swan. When his mom and dad had married, they had tried to get him to change it to Cassidy, but he wouldn't. He didn't know why, but he had always felt like his name was important. He had never questioned why he had a different name to his mother, either, but now it all made sense.

'Morning Ma,' said Kingsley as he walked sleepily into the kitchen, with Henry right behind him.

'You know it's a weekend, don't you?' questioned Henry as he took a seat at the kitchen island next to his twin.

Emma span around from where she had just finished plating up breakfast. 'Yes, I'm aware, but you have chess club and Kingsley has boxing. Oh, and Bella has dance club.' Bella was Kingsley and Henry's little sister. She was five.

'We're doing street dancing this week,' said Bella as she opened her arms for Henry to pick her up. She liked Henry better than Kingsley. Henry didn't tease her the way he did and he would tell Kingsley off if she told on him.

Henry jumped off his seat to pick up his sister and help her onto her own seat. 'Where's Lily and Neal?' he asked as he sat back down on his chair.

Emma moved over to the kitchen island with three plates of breakfast. 'Lily is at work, and Neal is off to see Robert,' she answered as she placed the plates in front of the three hungry kids.

'I don't know why he still bothers,' said Kingsley before he took a sip of his juice. 'His dad's been in a coma for a year and a half now and he hates him.'

Henry finished chewing the piece of pancake that was in his mouth before he turned to his brother. 'He could still wake up and he might hate him, but he's still his dad.'

Kingsley rolled his eyes. 'What do you care? It's his fault that you had to leave your mom.' Robert, Rumpelstiltskin or whatever his name was deserved to be run over by that car after what he had put his ma and twin through.

'King,' warned Emma as she took a seat at the kitchen island. Her blonde son had absolutely no filter and very rarely thought before he spoke.

'It's okay ma, he's right. It is Rumple's fault, but we'll see her again, right?' asked Henry, making sure Emma hadn't forgotten about Regina.

'Of course, Hen,' said Emma as she forced a smileonto her face. She tried not to think about Regina because it hurt too much, and she had no idea how they were going to get back to the Enchanted Forest, since their last try had failed spectacularly and ended up with Rumple in a coma which in her eyes was the best place for him.

'I'll help,' said Kingsley with a mouthful of pancakes, which he promptly swallowed after a glare from Emma.

'Me too,' agreed Bella as she wiggled in her seat. The girl could never sit still for longer than five minutes. She was just a tiny ball of energy.

Henry smiled at his twin and his sister. 'Thanks guys,' he said gratefully.

Lily came home just before lunch while the kids were all at their various clubs. 'Hey Em,' she greeted as she dropped her keys in the bowl by the door.

Emma looked up from where she had been typing on her laptop. 'Hey,' she said back. 'How was work?'

It had taken a long time for them to get back to a place where they could be civil to each other and Emma still didn't trust Lily or Neal, mostly Neal though, since it was him that got her sent to prison then shacked up with her girlfriend. Lily hadn't known about the stolen watches until just before she gave birth to the twins and by that point, she was already in too deep with the man. Apparently, she hadn't forgiven him until just after Kingsley turned two. She had stayed with him, though, but only because she didn't have anyone else to help with the baby.

She had eventually fallen in love with him and then had fallen pregnant with Bella when Kingsley was nine. They had married not long after. She really had loved Emma at one point, which is why she gave Kingsley the middle name Emmett and why she had also given him the blonde's surname.

'It was okay, I guess,' she answered as she took a seat on the sofa next to Emma. 'Is Neal still with his dad?'

Emma hummed as she continued to type. 'Yeah, and the kids are at their things,' she answered, her eyes never leaving the screen. 'Gotcha,' she muttered a second later.

Lily chuckled. 'Another job?'

Emma nodded. 'Yeah, but this one is in New York so I might have to... You know I hate leaving Hen and King...' she trailed off. It wasn't very often she had to travel for her job, but when she did, she always felt guilty.

'I understand, and so will they. Gotta pay the bills somehow,' teased Lily as she got up from the couch and made her way to the kitchen. 'Sandwich?'

'Yeah, but no pickle.'

Later that night, Henry was in the room he shared with his twin, reading his latest comic. 'Hey Hen, will you read me a bedtime story?' asked Bella as she stood in his doorway. Henry didn't mind her being in his room, but Kingsley hated it.

Henry looked up from his book and smiled at her. 'Sure Bells, which one do you want?' He asked as he moved to his bookshelf.

'I want that one,' shouted Bella excitedly as she pointed to Henry's fairy-tale book. She loved those stories. They were her favourite.

Henry laughed at her enthusiasm. 'And which story would you like?' He asked as he picked her up and carried her into her own room before plopping her on her bed.

'The one about the Saviour and the Beautiful Queen.'

'Very well,' he said before he sat down beside her and flicked to the right page. His mom's and his Ma's story had showed up in his book a day after they had to leave Storybrooke and though it made him a little sad to read, it also gave him hope, however, it didn't tell him how the curse broke, in fact, it wasn't very informative at all. He had assumed that Snow White and Prince Charming had true loves kiss, though now he knew Snow didn't have her heart he wasn't so sure.

He had asked his ma if there was any chance that she and his mom had true loves kiss but she had told him that his moms true love was Daniel so no she didn't think so. Henry didn't know if he believed that anymore but he hadn't said anything else about it.

Five minutes into the story and Bella was asleep. Henry continued to read it to theend, though, like he always did. He was just about to shut the book when he noticed something weird. The last few pages seemed thicker than they had when he last read it. He flipped the page and let out a gasp as he stared at the picture.

'Ma,' he yelled excitedly as he ran down the hallway and skidded into the living room where Kingsley, Emma, Neal and Lily were sat watching telly.

'Henry, rule one,' scolded Emma as she looked towards her son with a raised eyebrow.

Henry rolled his eyes at how much she sounded like Regina. 'No shouting in the house, I know. But look,' he said as he shoved the book in her face.

'Omg!' Exclaimed Emma in shock as she looked at the picture in her son's book. 'Storybrooke is back.'
