"Then... here goes!" David is ready. "Bring it on, Umbra punk!"
"Indeed, dude! Let's us do battle!" Viola proceeded.
David shot the hell out with his cannon, but Viola parried, activating the Witch Time. Viola then swift-strike David, but he activated Sandevistan and dodged.
"How come you be that fast without witching!?" Viola is surprised.
"Sandevistan slows the time down around me." David then punched Viola.
David viciously countered Viola, only to be countered back, then he counter again, then gets countered... And in time, everytime Viola activates Witch Time, David activates Sandevistan in response and intercepted the blade. This results in a crazy counter-parry battle, which shocked Tempti as a commentator.
"Cheshire!" Viola summoned Cheshire, doing her own variation of Demon Slave.
Cheshire caught David on the spot.
"Boost!" David boosted, escaping from Cheshire twice in a row: going out, then dodging it as the katana went back to Viola.
"Looks like I have some serious party in this case!" Viola went on parry it all.
And repeat...
"What's going on!?" Tempti is shocked. "Two fighters parried each other, boosted their timing with their main abilities, countered with their arsenal, and even played with that demon! What in the world is this onslaught!?"
Tempti kept the shocking reaction for a few minutes, till the point when both fighters are getting exhausted. However, Viola has some trick in her own.
"You want some?" Viola threw two darts onto David. "Father, lend me your strength!"
David catched both darts with his hands, but both exploded, smoking him out. Viola wasted no more time and stabbed her sword onto herself.
"Lucaon!!!" By drawing upon her love for her father and her mother's magical power, Viola harnesses the power of the Faerie KingLucaonand take on the form of a faerie.
"Shit!" David noticed it. *activates Sandevistan*
David dodged Viola, who's keeping up and continuously attacking. He has to do with escaping the attack until the effects expired.
"Will the cyberpunk survive this slaughter!?" Tempti commented.
A while later...
"Almost there...!" David is still dodging.
"Pray for the hell out of it, you bastard!" Viola tried to finish off David, blitzing towards him.
The transformation suddenly expired midway, and Viola is detransformed. David then immediately kicked her off.
"K.O.!"
pants* *pants* David is tired.
"Wowza! Now that's the legendary edgerunner!" General Teddie is surprised. "That Umbra Witchin' freak was no match for you!"
giggles* "Serves you right." General Teddie mocked Viola. "Keep suffering!"
"Allies against allies, beating the heck out of each other!" General Teddie made fun.
A witch with faerie inside her... She was made to exterminate monsters, rogue angels and evil demons alike, but David previously has no idea what she's capable of. David is also angry at General Teddie for watching over the participants with an expression of joy, as if everyone were some performers for his amusement.
"I don't know why you're making us fight." David told General Teddie. "But it's pointless."
"We aren't fighting because we hate each other." David continued. "The reason we can fight is because we respect and trust each other!"
David is met in response with a low growl. A truthful person (like Yu) don't even imagine the real Teddie making such scarily hateful noise, but in this case, General Teddie is far more scathing, vengeful and has even further killing intent than he already has been in previous versions of P-1 Grand Prix. And then, General Teddie showed the Shadow eyes, and the voice changed into that of David's dream but more: a combination of the voices from what would be the Shadow Selves of the Sephirot as well as such voice of... Angela!?
"Stupid... You're such a dumbass!" General Teddie is ridiculously enraged. "What's with you!?"
The image on the flying monitor distorted along with that outburst. General Teddie is having trouble remembering to act as someone else, and his face bulged and rippled disturbingly with glitches as his desecrating hate pours through the screen. Any pretense at copying the adorable stupidity of the real, original Teddie, is now completely gone for real. Not to mention the hurtful, hateful and dreadful words (which failed to properly affect David at all)...
"Respect? Trust?" General Teddie questioned David's current reasoning. "So what if you don't hate each other...? You're not like me-... us-...!"
"I was... we were... forced to fight against... our... my will!" General Teddie continued to distort. "I... we... destroyed them all with our... my... own hands!"
"You should all have to go through all hells...!" General Teddie speaking the voice of the Shadows. "And see how it feels to destroy all your potential saving graces!"
"If I knew this was gonna happen the way it just did, we would've made the rules so you that not only you had to kill your opponent to move on, but also that the loser and their closest friends will all be erased from existence altogether!" General Teddie violently realized, continuing to take about everything so far.
"What're you talking about, choom!?" David questioned General Teddie. "Why did you set this tournament up!?"
David finally connected all the dots found so far: When Miss President had asked out of the blue if all participants were going to be forced to kill each other... That ominous muttering of 'killing one another'... Were those both something that has been directly related from her past? Maybe someone has forced Miss President to fight against people she didn't want to fight... Had she been forced to destroy something that was precious to not only her, but also to what worlds?
Considering everything about this, it turns out to explain why some Shadows would have created a tournament like P-1 Grand Prix to people from another worlds, like this. That is, they all wanted everyone to feel what hells all went through... and the traumas involved.
David is about to ask about the suspicion, but...
crashes* A rift appeared, and the monitor is crushed. David rushed to protect Viola from the debris in case.
"Pardon me for my eccentric entrance." A girl fell down.
"Wha-!?" David noticed while getting hit by some debris.
Turns out, an teenaged girl came crashing through the rift!
When David looked up, he saw the girl standing up, and she's even more unusual for David than Viola already is. Aside from that... how did she make a rift on top and fall through!?
David had been about to get to the heart of the matter with General Teddie, but the monitor has been destroyed by the girl... and the rift. Though the girl seemed indifferent to his confusion.
"Huh? Oh, excuse me." The girl noticed David and Viola. "I never had any idea that some survivors would be here..."
"Who are you?" David bluntly asked. "I'm in the middle of the reveal, and you broke the monitor!?"
"What the moon are you talking about?" The girl is confused.
"Wait..." David recognized something about this girl. "You kinda look like a synthesis of both K-423 and Miss Durandal..., white long hair with that one crescent strand, blue eyes, and what!"
"Oh... Are you... from the world of Honkai?" David asked the girl.
"Oh, is this what's considered to be 'spot on'?" The girl then giggled.
"Actually, no, I'm not hunting you." David nervously replied. "You just reminded me of some clients I've known."
calms down* "Do you happen to know anyone by the name of Bianka Ataegina, a.k.a. 'Durandal'?" David asked the girl.
"...Durandal." The girl realized.
When the girl repeated the name, she blushed. And as David noticed, her profile simultaneously evokes the images of that 'Herrscher of Flamescion' (i.e. Kiana Kaslana), and an woman under 'Equinox' (i.e. Bianka 'Durandal' Ataegina). Due to this as well as having never either of them, he couldn't figure out how exactly to speak to her.
"Oh... actually, we should introduce ourselves first." David then proceeded. "I'm David Martinez from Santo, edgerunner from Night City."
"Oh, that had slipped my mind." The girl too. "I am Kiana Kaslana, a Valkyrja working for and within the Schicksal."
"Oh dear... to hear that name, fraught with split memories, in such a strange, alien place..." Kiana continued.
Kiana Kaslana... K-423 and Bianka Ataegina? Oh, dealt with two Kianas already, but now there's the third? Or perhaps... this Kiana is indeed a combination of the two? Either way, David doesn't think it's all that bad. Kiana suddenly bowed elegantly to him, though.
"Bianka Ataegina and Durandal are indeed my big part's names..." Kiana confirmed. "Can I take that to mean that those two selves of me are clients of your alliance?"
Oh, wr see... So as David realized, this Kiana is the fusion of K-423 and Durandal. That'd explain why she reminded him of those two Valkyrjas.
"Kiana Kaslana, huh?" David realized. "Well, I guess that's the point of you. You're the fusion of those two Kianas from that world you must have originated from."
"But why is another Kiana though?" David wondered. "We already dealt with the K-423, as well as the original daughter mainly lived by the name Durandal..."
"I'm currently utterly trapped in the Midnight Channel." Kiana is embarrassed.
"I-Is that so...?" David questioned.
That doesn't give away much... and there's no further response anyway. So what led her to come blasting in with the rift on top instead of using a normal portal? David decided not to talk about that rift... for understandable and appropriate reasons thus far.
Then suddenly, Kiana seemed to have noticed David's hesitation, and spoke about... herself. Her eyes are lit up with a sincere fashion.
"I am... a daughter of two great Valkyrjas, Kevin Kaslana and Cecila Schriac." Kiana spoke about herself. "And I have the the Herrschers as my own flame."
"With all my bloods and stigmata, Abyss Flower and the Key of Radiance [Domain of Incandescence] together, I have transcended and grown into who I am now." Kiana discussed. "The power of the wild card that changes bonds into strength... that power will bode will to how I fight for all that's beautiful in the world, and all others."
"The alliance has researched about the wild card, but..." David replied.
"I feel that the first extension to protect all world's beauty and others lies within that power." Kiana responded.
This Kiana's sincerity reminded David of the wild card and its power, is related not only anymore to the Velvet Room's total desires, but her now as well.
"Oh, how about we fight?" Kiana suggested.
"Whoa...! Miss Kaslana-Schriac, you sure that we must fight?" David is surprised.
laugh* "How exciting this is making me!" Kiana is funny this time. "You wanna keep up with my will?"
"To be direct, I'd like you to show how potent you are, as well as your own will!" Kiana concluded.
"Uh... let me make sure of something, just in case..." David noted. "You understand what I'm saying, right? There's no illusion at work?"
"Such parlor, questionable tricks can get stuffed!" Kiana replied.
"Oh, so you're actually in your right mind here..." David responded. "Oh, wow, that's impressive! Just as I thought of K-423 after maturing."
Turns out Kiana doesn't seem to be affected by the illusion. If so, then she at least must have understood the gist of what David actually meant, or what's going on around here. However: Is she related to the P-1 Grand Prix Cross Edition? If not, did she invite herself, and do the usual rules apply?
As David think about it all, Kiana took out her weapons, Domain of Incandescence and the Abyss Flower, and dual-wielded both. She activated her Herrscher powers as well (indicated by the glowing gems in the Incandescence), and took her fighting posture. Indeed, Kiana really does want to fight. A torrent of Honkai powers poured around Kiana with a burning aura in both amber and indigo colours. Even though the previously unimaginable powers, she looks determined, yet seems so calm.
However, David also considered it an air of imminent violence. David took Viola's sword, and took the fighting stance plus the sword.
"All right... I won't be able to hold back." David is ready. "And this is a sword from Viola Redfield, whom I just defeated."
"Let us do this...!" Kiana started the battle. "It's for all that's beautiful in all worlds!"
Meanwhile...
"So far, there are three participants disqualified and/or killed off in the tournament." The Origin reported while walking around the tournament. "James Bond, Perfecti and a reanimated Shisui Uchiha."
The Origin suddenly bumped on Geno.
"You...!" The Origin recognized Geno. "I'm surprised you're here."
"Hmmm... wait a second..." Geno realized. "Why I am in a previous island?"
"It's complicated." The Origin then explained everything about Athena Daybreak, as well as P-1 Grand Prix: Cross Edition so far. "Long story short, an old island returned, repurposed in the TV world, and hosting P-1 Grand Prix on steroids.
"I see..." Geno understood what's going on. "Now that I'm trapped in this island, what do you think?"
"This tournament is Genjitsu-no-Omnia's current plan, and we're finding the evidences of the exact behind-the-scenes things about it." The Origin responded.
"Finally, you two finally met, so I'm bringing you!" Genjitsu-no-Omnia appeared.
"You're Empress Zero!? Why are you messing with the omniverse!" Geno asked Omnia in anger.
"You're the King who left the Last Reality, disrupting my original career in the process." Genjitsu-no-Omnia recognized the Origin. "Then you messed up and protected the Zero Point without me, while the Queen never let me help when I was to be useful!"
"And then, Jones looked down on me and refused to even look me! And Ariana Grande stole my title-"
"Shut up, Empress Zero!" Geno scolded Omnia.
Genjitsu-no-Omnia simply abducted both godly men through teleportation.
