"I know a shortcut to get back home, I will meet you there." I started, rushing to find a place to transform as my bodyguard nodded.
"What do you know, this isn't something you see everyday." Plagg quipped.
"You're right, this is on a whole other level." I responded. "Plagg, claws out!"
After Adrien transformed into Cat Noir he immediately went up to the sentimonster and followed it, ensuring to save civilians from the destruction of the sentimonster.
"Everyone clear the area and head to the subways away from the creature!" Cat Noir told the Parisian citizens.
"Cat, we need to find a way to break the object that has the amok in it. The sentimonster must have come from someone and we need to find out who." Ladybug stated.
"Sentimonster, amok, that has to do with this monster. Master Fu must have told her about the peacock miraculous." I deduced internally.
"I have an idea of who might…." I began to say."
"The sentimonster can't touch anything as long as it becomes intangible. We need to grab the amokotised object while we can." Ladybug mentioned, unfamiliar with the sentimonster. "There is no time to waste!"
"There could be a way to stop…."
"We have no time for jokes! Come on, we have no idea what kind of damage this sentimonster can do." Ladybug demanded.
"I thought things were different…. I should have known better." I thought.
As Ladybug and Cat Noir made their way to the Octoblob, they found the sentimonster as it was going after various buildings and people. On the surface it seemed random judgements but under the surface there was a logic to it.
"Why is the sentimonster going after specific things? It went after married couples and their homes and is just leaving everyone else alone. Aside from collateral damage no one else is in direct danger." Ladybug deduced as she in Cat Noir are in the residential district of Paris.
"It doesn't seem to be controlled by someone." I stated.
"Good, since no one is controlling the monster and as long as everyone is out of harm's way, stopping the sentimonster is our first priority." Ladybug insisted.
"We don't know how this sentimonster was created, if we know about why it is going after certain people we could have a better chance of stopping it." I reminded
"We don't have time for this! Just follow my lead, you know what to expect. Stop wasting time and just do your job!" Ladybug demanded.
"So what is my "job" then? Is it just to be your meat shield, is it just to make puns all the time, is it to consistently be left in the dark about everything, do you see me as more than a joke?!" I snapped.
"I…." Ladybug started to say.
"Look out!"
As Ladybug and Cat Noir were arguing, the Octoblob charged forward with its tentacles ready to crush the heroes before moving away just in time.
The Octoblob moves in and out of the road constantly changing in and out of it's amorphous form at will. Cat Noir tries to use his staff to move around and knock the top hat off but fails as his staff went through the sentimonster. Ladybug is no better as the swing of her yo-yo giving her more momentum provides the chance to kick the sentimonster over, but no such luck.
No matter what techniques they tried, Ladybug and Cat Noir couldn't touch the monster or the amoktised object.
"I knew we should have found Fletcher." I thought.
"Ladybug, Cat Noir help!" a man yelled calling attention to his wife and child
"Cat Noir, my baby! It's stroller is stuck." the mother said pointing to where the stroller was stuck by its wheel by a broken street lamp.
As the Octoblob saw the baby and its parents begging for its recuse, the sentimonster went berserk as it's tentacles went faster than ever before
"There you are, let's get you unstuck." I remarked as I tried freeing the stroller.
"Cat Noir, no!" Ladybug screamed as the sentimonster tried to crush the hero and baby.
"Cat's Eye!"
When those two words have spoken, it was like time stopped for Cat Noir it was like the multiple tentacles form the Octoblob slowed down. He felt the tension in his body slip away as time slowed down and a black Aura surrounded him. The tentacles were moving at a sloth's pace, and Cat Noir was able to knock the tentacle away with cat swipes and his staff before moving himself and the baby to safety.
By the time Cat Noir made it to safety his power wore off and the man, his wife, and especially Ladybug were in shock with what happened.
"Your baby is safe ma'am. I have a fe-line that everything is going to be okay." I reassured her with a pun.
"Thank you so much." the man commented.
"Cat…. how did you do that?" Ladybug questioned. "That was…. Incredible….. I…"
"Look, I know you have some questions and they will be answered later. But there is something I need to do, something that can help stop the sentimonster. It will only take a few minutes." I stated looking at Ladybug. "Please, it's super important."
With a nod for Ladybug, Cat Noir went to find someone important.
"It's Cat Noir!" one orphan kid called out with the children cheering.
"Cat Noir, what are you doing here?" Ms. Mazet questioned while checking the computer monitors ensuring the kids safety
"I need to talk to someone. Do you have a 10 year old boy named Fletcher with you at the moment?"
A few minutes later Fletcher went up to Cat Noir and the two went off to a different part of the orphanage to talk.
"You may have noticed the giant octopus attacking Paris, but I think you can help me and Ladybug stop it." I remarked with compassion.
"Why are you asking me?" Fletcher said.
"Let's just say a blonde haired friend told me all about you."
"Adrien?" Fletcher commented, Cat Noir confirming his assumption. "You guys know each other?"
"I happen to know Adrien Agreste, after all I have helped him before since his dad was akumatized." I confided, Fletcher remembering what Adrien told him about that day.
"What's the point, you wouldn't want my help. I'll just screw it up just like everything else. I would just disappoint you." Fletcher enclosed, bitterness infused in his voice.
"The octopus is going after certain things, I thought you might know why." I replied.
"Like what?"
"It went after married couples, parents, babies, and little kids." I said, Fletcher looking more and more distressed. "It's like the octopus has a grudge against these things."
"Oh….no."
"Are you okay?"
"No…."
"Fletcher?"
"It was me…. I'm the reason why that thing out there." Fletcher remarked with tears in his eyes.
"Earlier today people showed up to the orphanage to get adopted. I was one of only a few people who didn't get adopted. Nobody wanted me, not even my birth parents. Nothing meant more to me than getting adopted." Fletcher explained, his voice starting to break.
"I went outside then… I heard someone talking to me. She called herself Mayura and told me how all the disappointment I feel will go away if I listen to her… and I agreed. My hat started changing so I threw it on the ground, and the last thing I saw before running away was an octopus forming." Fletcher recounted, feeling worse after explaining.
"I have seen other people become villains before but I never thought this would happen to me. I will never forget what has happened today. This is all my fault." Fletcher said, right before breaking down into tears. "This is all my fault."
"Fletcher, listen to me, all of this is not your fault." I said earnestly, as I touched his shoulder.
"Many people before you have had their emotions used for evil, feeling upset after what has happened is nothing to be ashamed of." I added.
"I wish I could be like you or Ladybug or Adrien. Everyone wants them, everyone needs them. No matter what happens you still find a way to keep going and not give up on people." Fletcher confessed, tears still spelling from his eyes.
"That's not true." I gently said. "Ladybug and I both have weaknesses we need to improve on. Adrien had to deal with a lot of pressure due to his father, Ladybug has issues with doubting herself too much, and I have dealt with… feeling unwanted before, but over time we all managed to overcome this because there is someone that cares enough to help us."
"Remember all the people you have met along the way. You matter, Fletcher, don't forget that." I said.
Without warning Fletcher went in for an embrace and with that a lot of the anguish he carried just melted away.
"Alright…." Fletcher said, wiping away his tears. "What will I need to do?"
"I'll explain on the way."
By the time Cat Noir and Fletcher made it back to Ladybug, it was made clear that she was struggling against the sentimonster. Several buildings in the residential district were damaged as the civilians barely made it out unscathed.
"Good you're back, it has been hectic without you here. I managed to get all the civilians out of their homes but I couldn't get the hat from this octopus." Ladybug reported.
"To be honest it looks more like an Octoblob." Fletcher quipped.
"I brought some help. This is Fletcher, the amok went into his top hat and created the sentimonster." I explained. "Here's what I think we could do…"
"Okay let's see if this will help. Lucky Charm!" Ladybug responded
"A battery powered hair dryer?" Ladybug said in confusion.
"That's perfect for my plan." I commented.
All of a sudden both Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses started beeping. "What is it?" Fletcher questioned.
"I only have 4 minutes until I change back." Ladybug mentioned. "What about you?"
"I have only 3 minutes." I responded.
"Well then we better move fast." Ladybug remarked as the plan was starting to unfold.
"Hey! It's me, I am your creator!" Fletcher shouted to the Octoblob as it moved to Fletcher.
"That's right, without me you wouldn't have existed." Fletcher stated.
"I am ready to work with you and together we will steal Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous." Fletcher proclaimed to the sentimonster.
The Octoblob came closer and closer to Fletcher, experiencing a connection to him but as it approached, the heroes did so too until…..
Thwap!
The sound of a snapped twig broke their stealth as we see one of the families' children stepped on a twig as they tried to get to escape. As quick as a flash, the sentimonster saw Ladybug and Cat Noir sneaking up it.
"Run!"
At that moment the Octoblob went berserk. The family that alerted it managed to escape from the line of fire while Ladybug managed to get out of the way and try to find another opening.
"Oh shit." Fletcher swore as the sentimonster tried to attack him with all of its tentacles.
"No!" I shouted as I ran over to protect Fletcher. "Cat's Eye!" Once again, time stopped with Cat Noir as he made it to Fletcher's side. All of the eight tentacles were inches away from the 10-year old when Cat Noir quickly swiped at all the tentacles, repelling the sentimonster to the point where it toppled over when Cat Noir moved Fletcher out of harm's way.
"Ladybug, now!"
"...right!" Ladybug responded, looking away from what I did. Predictably, the Octoblob went back into its amorphous form only to find itself encased in a hardened shell caused by hot air from Ladybug's Lucky Charm.
"Well this sentimonster won't octopi my thoughts any time soon." I quipped. "Cataclysm!" As Cat Noir used his Cataclysm on the hardened top hat, the amok flew out and the sentimonster finally disappeared.
"Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug announced as she used her Miraculous Ladybug.
A red blast wave was emitted from Ladybug as the amok was purified back into a normal peacock feather. All of the damage caused by the Octoblob was completely reset.
"Pound it." I stated along with Ladybug.
"So….." Ladybug and I said at the same time. "Sorry, you first…"
"Since we only have 2 minutes before we both change back, maybe we could talk later tonight at around midnight at the Arc de Triomphe." I suggested.
"Sure." Ladybug replied as her earring started beeping again, getting ready to leave. "I need to get going now."
"Cat Noir." Ladybug called out as I turned around to look at her.
"Good job." Ladybug complimented right before leaving.
"I believe this belongs to you." I commented, giving Fletcher back his top hat.
"Thanks…. you helped in more ways than you think." Fletcher responded, ready for Cat Noir to take him back to the orphanage.
Once Fletcher was back, Cat Noir just barely managed to find an alleyway for him to detransform.
"Finally, I thought dealing with akumas was difficult." Plagg complained.
"Help yourself to as much camembert as you want, you earned it." I replied, smiling.
"Adrien!" Ms. Mazet remarked joyously. "I am so glad you're alright."
"And I'm glad that you are doing well." I said courteously. "How are the kids?"
"They're still excited that they got to see Cat Noir."
As Adrien saw the kids they were all talking at once about how Cat Noir showed up at the orphanage. While answering their questions, Fletcher was spotted outside of the crowd with Adrien noticing.
"So… I heard that you helped Ladybug and Cat Noir stop a villain earlier today." Adrien remarked with a smirk on his face.
"It was fucking awesome! You should have seen it. There was this Octopus thing and it can allow anything to go through it! And then Ladybug and Cat Noir used a hair dryer to stop it, it was crazy!" Fletcher remarked with glee.
"It sounds like you enjoyed this. Did anything else happen?" I replied, happy to see Fletcher happy.
"Well….." Fletcher started before taking a breath. "I was upset earlier because I never got adopted today, I went outside and then someone used me to create that Octopus. Then I went into hiding before Cat Noir showed up. We talked and now that I had time to think about if I matter to people. Turns out I didn't give myself enough credit in the past, I realized how many people look up to me since I am one of the older kids at the orphanage. Everyone here knows me and while I still want to get adopted, I know now that things will be okay because there will be someone who cares about me."
"I'm glad to hear that." I said smiling.
"So where were you when this whole octopus thing started?"
"I was on my way home then I decided to check up on the orphanage to see how it was going." I replied, with Fletcher smiling with appreciation
"Isn't your dad wondering where you are right now?"
"That's right and I should be going now." I sheepishly commented.
"See you later. Thank you for being a friend." Fletcher said earnestly before Adrien left.
Silence permeated around the Agreste mansion.
When Adrien entered there was no sign of his father anywhere, not even his studio showed any signs of his whereabouts. Only the faint sound of coughing and hacking can be heard.
"Father?"
"The sound is coming from Nathalie's room."
"Nathalie!" I said running over to her.
"Adrien…. I'm….." Nathalie tries to say before devolving into a coughing fit. "...I'm okay….."
"Are you sure, what happened?" I questioned with concern.
"It's nothing to worry about. I'm just coming down with something." Nathalie brushed off, not going into what she did.
"Where were you?" Gabriel questioned sternly.
"I was on my way home when this giant octopus came out of nowhere and started destroying everything. I managed to get out of the way so I am not hurt." I said seeing Father's relief for my safety.
"I see, you will practice the piano for the next hour and a half and by then Nathalie will be ready to go over your Chinese lessons." Father commanded.
"Yes, Father."
Eventually night fell upon the city of Paris and as soon as the coast was clear, Adrien transformed into Cat Noir and made his way to the of the Arc de Triomphe at 11:55pm. Five minutes later, Ladybug showed up.
"Ladybug." I remarked professionally and somewhat stiffly.
"Cat Noir." Ladybug said with a neutrality in her voice.
"Two days after our last patrol, I talked to my kwamii and he told me that aside from my Cataclysm there are 3 other powers I can use. They are called Cat's Eye, Catacomb, and Cheshire Cat." I revealed, seeing Ladybug's eyes widen. "I haven't really mastered Cheshire Cat yet…."
"What happened with Cheshire Cat?" Ladybug wondered.
"It's not something I want to talk about right now." I answered, changing the subject.
"You already saw me use Cat's Eye when I saved that baby and the child who helped us. It allows me to move super fast when I am about to be hit, and I can instantly defend myself either by dodging or by swiping objects or people away from me." I explained.
"As for Catacomb I can summon the ghost of a deceased black cat Miraculous Holder who has truly bonded with their kwamii. The ghost has to willingly decide to let someone see/hear/talk to anyone else aside from the summoner, and if I detransform the ghost disappears. Also if the ghost spoke a different language than me while they were alive, when I summon them they can automatically adapt to the language that I primarily speak. The ghost can't reveal your identity or find out the identity of other superheroes without my permission. Also no one can see, hear, sense or talk to the ghost aside from me unless I let it." I also mentioned.
"Are you ready?" I asked, with Ladybug nodding.
"Here it is…. Catacomb!"
As Cat Noir used his power, a familiar black blast wave flowed forward, as the first Black Cat Miraculous holder finally appeared in front of both of the heroes
"It's nice to see you again Cat Noir." Hei Mao said looking at both his successor and his partner.
"It's nice to talk to you again, Hei Mao. There is someone I want you to meet." Cat Noir replied, referring to revealing himself to Ladybug.
"Of course."
After a minute of confusion about who Cat Noir was talking to, Ladybug was finally able to see, hear, and talk to the ghost.
"I…. I can see you, I can hear you." Ladybug declared. "Can you hear me?"
"Yes, I can hear you. How does it feel to currently wield the Ladybug Miraculous?"
"It has been an honor. I can't believe this is happening." Ladybug said in awe.
"I am the first Black Cat Miraculous holder to ever exist. I used to be an elite warrior in ancient China and protect my home from mystical threats. I fought alongside my old partner Piao Chong, the first Ladybug Miraculous holder." Hei Mao explained, with Ladybug in thought after hearing about Piao Chong.
"Things must have been very different back then." Ladybug thought.
"Some things were different, but some things stayed the same." Hei Mao confirmed.
"Anyway it seems like you two have a lot to talk about." Hei Mao remarked as Cat Noir allowed him to slowly disappear. "Goodbye Ladybug and Cat Noir."
"That's incredible
"Hmm… it is, isn't it." I remarked with a half smile on my face.
"Aren't you worried about de-transforming?" Ladybug asked.
"I'm not worried, it always seems that the time it takes to detransform lasts longer than it should." I observed, before chuckling and smiling.
"Everything always seems to work out despite how crazy it seems." Ladybug agreed as both heroes looked at the fourth wall and smiled.
"I never knew we had extra powers. Neither Master Fu nor my kwamii told me about this." Ladybug said earnestly as both heroes turned away from the fourth wall to talk.
"You seemed guilty during our talk a few days ago. I thought you finally understood that I wanted to be more than just a sidekick. But today proved me wrong." I angrily remarked.
"You're right, I had no excuse to treat you like this." Ladybug admitted in shame.
"But why do you keep doing this?" I questioned, not accepting any of Ladybug's excuses.
"I…I just couldn't afford to fail!"
"What?"
"Ever since I received my Miraculous I was never enthusiastic about it as you were. I saw it as a major responsibility, more so than anyone else. Without me the akuma won't be purified, like what has happened when we first got our Miraculouses. If Hawkmoth gets both of our Miraculouses then he wins. I have done everything I could to keep my Miraculous safe even if it meant closing myself off to other people." Ladybug started to say. "All the akmuatizations were getting harder and harder to stop. After Heroes' day it seemed like things were going to get worse from there."
"Every time I see you sacrifice yourself or if my lucky charms place you in a dangerous plan I hate it but I figured it was necessary so we can defeat the akumatized villain. I thought you were okay with it, but I should have seen how tiring it was for you. You always thought you were unnecessary, worthless, and was always in my shadow, it was always justified because of our secret identities or how willing you were to follow along with my plans. But that was so, so wrong." Ladybug continued.
"I remember after we fought Glaciator, you set up a date before but I stood you up. Once I showed up I saw how considerate you are, it proved that you are more than just an annoying sidekick. Now here I am several days later, and I have the fucking nerve to act like you don't matter! After everything we've been through!" Ladybug finished as tears threatened to leave her eyes.
"Do you understand?" I questioned, my voice barely above a whisper, trying to stay calm.
"Yes!" Ladybug exclaimed, fully giving in to her pent up emotions.
After spending a few minutes crying, hugging, reaffirmations, and comforting each other from both sides, the heroes managed to calm down enough to continue their discussion.
"Fletcher Laveres. He's 10 years old, born in the Philippines, and has been living in the Paris' orphanage since he was a baby. How did you know about him?" Ladybug asked.
"During my free time I would visit Paris' orphanage, to see the kids. Most times I would go to see how they are doing, they had a hard life so I would visit once every 2 weeks to brighten up their lives and volunteer for a while. You haven't heard about this because I didn't want anyone to make this about me." I explained
"Cat…." Ladybug started, surprised by what I said.
"Oh wait… I said too much. You said that we must not know anything about ourselves. I'm so sorry, I swear no one at the orphanage has said anything. Please don't be mad." I remarked in fear of potentially disappointing Ladybug.
"No! No… it's okay. I think it is great that you are helping someone even outside of fighting akumas." Ladybug complemented.
"I'm glad I am about to take time out of the responsibilities of my civilian life to do something like this." I said, calming down.
"Master Fu has been talking about me becoming the next Guardian of the Miraculous." Ladybug mentioned. "I figured this would happen yet it seems like it's happening so soon."
"If that's happening, then I want to be a Guardian alongside you. Besides we were both chosen by Master Fu for a reason, it just feels right that I would share the joys and burdens of being a Guardian with you." I proclaimed seriously.
"… thank you." Ladybug replied. "I haven't seen you this serious since we were trying to uncover Hawk Moth's identity."
"Yeah…." I stated quietly, with Ladybug seeing how I don't want to talk about Hawkmoth.
"Fletcher mentioned that someone was speaking to him when that blue feather landed on his top hat. Her name is Mayura and she is the one who is creating the sentimonsters we have seen so far." I reported.
"We already know she is working alongside Hawk Moth, but the sentimonsters could be more powerful than the akumatized villains." Ladybug said.
"I talked to Master Fu about meeting with you tomorrow. He lives in a massage shop on the right bank of the Seine. In front of the shop there is a gong on top of the building, you can't miss it." Ladybug commented.
"Thanks, maybe we could start searching for Hawk Moth and Mayura." I suggested. Soon enough my Miraculous started beeping again. "I should get going soon."
"Cat….. I don't know if you will recognize your part in protecting Paris, but I sure things will change for the better. At least I see you in a new and better way." Ladybug remarked.
"Now I see this is not okay, you have been there for me since day one, and you know how to take charge when it is needed. You trust me Cat Noir, it's time I trust you." Ladybug finished explaining, both of us exchanging warm smiles.
As Ladybug left the Arc de Triomphe, Cat Noir made it back to the Agreste Mansion just in time for him to detransform. Back in his room, Adrien went to his bed, reflecting on what happened with a warm feeling in his chest. After today it felt like a new beginning.
And nothing can take this feeling away from him.
Seven Years Ago - August
It was 10:00pm, an hour after a 7 year old Adrien was sent to sleep behind closed doors. His dreams were filled with vague imagery of superheroes as his subconscious picked up on the faint noises coming from the Agreste master bedroom.
"Are you ready Emilie?" the husband asked in a familiar purple suit said.
"Yes I am." the woman remarked, uncovering a box with a blue brooch inside.
"Emmy! It's been soooo long since I seen you!" a mysterious blue creature said.
"Duusu, it's been a week since I last saw you." the woman pointed out gently.
"I know!" the blue creature said before going into a sad voice. "This is why it's special."
"Oh Duusu…." the woman commented playfully. "Duusu, Fan Out!"
Through a transformation sequence Emillie then transformed into a blue peacock themed costume complete with a fan with feathers at the end of it.
"I will never get tired of you in this outfit." the husband remarked romantically.
"Gaaabbbe, that's so sweet." the woman said before her face formed into a mischievous smile. "Let's do this."
The woman soon takes out a feather from her fan and charges it with blue energy. Choosing her object, she places the feather on an Eiffel tower souvenir and with the emotion of enthusiasm and curiosity created a sentimental.
This sentimental took on the form of a sewing machine with eyes on each side. It had a sleek minimalist design with a monochrome color palette with gold highlights and accent colors.
"Let's see what it can do." the husband stated.
The woman took a piece of discarded fabric and placed it on the sewing machine, watching it magically expand as the needle created a beautiful dress from that one piece of fabric. She then did this again to create a dashing suit.
"It's name is Sew-ton." the woman mentioned.
"This is amazing!" the husband remarked in awe. "Think about how it could make our brand the most well known in all of Paris, maybe even worldwide."
"We could do some many good things for the world at large with the power to create living things based off of someone's emotions." the woman remarked.
"Indeed…. We should keep experimenting with this, but for now let's make more designs." the husband commented. "We'll become unstoppable!"
"Yeah!" the woman exclaimed in glee, unaware of the darker implications of what her husband said.
A/N: Well this has been a long time coming….. But seriously it took so MUCH time for me to get this out. This is my attempt at making an episode about Ladybug and Cat Noir fighting a sentimonster. To me Miraculous Ladybug doesn't really have major fight scene instead the fights between the akumatized villains and sentimonsters are like elaborate puzzles. I hope I got that right, as for Fletcher I wanted him to showcase the kind of people that Adrien want to connect to, not for his father's sake. Also I think ending the whole conflict between Ladybug and Cat Noir in this chapter after seeing Ladybug backtracking is a good idea so the rest of the story can focus on Cat Noir's training (and eventually Adrien's thoughts on the Love Square). Especially seeing Ladybug's reasons tied back to how valuable she is as the hero (how she could capture akumas and fix the damage caused by the villain) and how much she has to do. This does not excuse how she has been acting but at this point, both of them have reached a better understanding.
I want to mention that with Ladybug's luck charm it just disappears after she de-transforms instead of it being sacrificed for the Miraculous Ladybug power. Also powers are only activated when their names are said with intention in the context of wanting to use the powers instead of noting them. Finally Hei Mao (and other previous Cat Miraculous users who successfully bonded with their kwamii) would address Cat Noir as Adrien when he is alone. He can sense the nearby presence of other living beings (robots like Markov included) within sightline or earshot of the previous holder and the summoner. However when the ghost is with someone else like a person/advanced AI/sentimonster he would address Cat Noir as Cat Noir unless the summoner specifically tells the ghost that it is okay to call the summoner by their civilian name in the presence of certain people.
Finally I have an announcement… I will be putting this fic on break until this mid to late summer of 2022. Yes I know it seems disappointing but don't worry, I am not giving up on this fanfic. I will give my thoughts on Miraculous Ladybug episodes and things about season 4 as a whole as a replacement for each chapter once every 2 weeks. In fact it just seems stupid how Chloe had to give up being Queen Bee because of the identity rule yet Alya was able to change her costume design and hero name from Rena Rouge to Rena Furtive and still kept going. This happened in "Rocketear". Also in the episode "Kuro Neko" where Adrien changes his identity and costume (basically to where his hero persona is like his normal persona) from Cat Noir to Cat Walker no one NOT EVEN SHADOWMOTH could tell that Cat Noir has an alternate identity.
