"You're getting better, Naruto." Hinata smiled at him. After long weeks of training, he's gotten stronger and better at controlling his chakra.
"Thanks to you. If this keeps up, I might even surpass you." He joked and she giggled. They were walking down the hall in school.
"There's a festival coming up this Friday. Would you like to go with me?" Naruto asked, blushing.
"Are you asking me out?" Hinata teased and his face turned red.
"Well I-um." Hinata only giggled.
"I would love to go with you. Besides, after the intense training you deserve a break."
~ In Class ~
The group were having a conversation about the upcoming festival, until the school bell rang and went to their assigned seats.
"Good morning, class today we have a new student." The class started mumbling among themselves.
It wasn't that long ago when Naruto was the new student and it seems like it was becoming a trend to have new students in Konoha Academy.
A boy with long, brown hair, brown eyes, and a mole on his lower cheek walked in. If it wasn't for the male uniform, he would of been easily mistaken as a girl and he was the same height as Hanabi.
"He's so pretty!" One of the female students blushed and the other females started gushing over him.
"This is Haku Takayama and I expect every one of you to give him a warm welcome." The teacher said and then she looked at Haku.
"You can have a seat next to Ms. Hyuga." The teacher smiled at him. Haku saw Hinata waving at him and he blushed at her beauty.
Haku looked down due to shyness and sat next to Hinata.
"My name is Hinata Hyuga. You can just call me Hinata." She smiled at him and Haku blushed.
"N-nice to meet, y-you." He stuttered.
'He's so cute!' Hinata thought, smiling.
~ At the lockers ~
"It seems you have an admirer, Hinata." Ino teased. The heiress looked confused at first, but when she turned around she caught Haku staring at her, behind a wall.
The boy's face turned red from embarrassment and quickly hid away.
"He's so precious! He's like a little doll." Sakura dotted.
"More like weird, I keep catching him stalking Hinata." Kiba said.
"Like you have room to talk." Shino said, nonchalant. The dog boy only growled at him, while the guys laughed at him.
"I don't think he's weird. He's just shy." Hinata said and looked at the spot, where Haku left. In a way, he reminded her of herself when she was younger.
'Poor thing.'
~ At lunch ~
"Haku is so adorable, maybe we can invite him to the festival with us." Sakura suggested.
"That's a good idea. He seems sweet, we just need to help him come out of his shell." Ino said.
"Oh please, the only reason why you want him around is because you want to dress him up." Shikamaru said, looking at Sakura and Ino.
"You're point?" Ino asked with a straight face. The others smiled, until they heard something a commotion.
"Uh oh, junior here dropped his lunch." A guy laughed and shoved Haku. They were the jocks of the school.
Haku started shaking and tears started to form in his eyes.
"What a crybaby!" The were about to gang up on him, until Hinata stood in front of them with her arms spread out.
The group instantly stood up and the students started anticipating to see if a brawl is about to started.
"Leave him alone!" Hinata said, activated her Byakugan. The two looked at the leader, to see what he wants to do.
Haku looked at her with sparks in his eyes and in his vision she was surrounded by flowers, and was full of radiance.
"This isn't over, pretty boy." The leader snarled at Haku and they walked off.
"Are you okay?" Hinata asked, stretching her hand out to him. Instead of grabbing her hand, he hugged her waist.
"H-Haku?"
"Please be my future wife!?" Haku asked with hearts in his eyes and Hinata's eyes widen.
"WHAT?!"
Everybody turned around and saw Naruto standing up, with an irritated look along with jealousy.
~ At Gym ~
Naruto crossed his arms and his eyebrow is twitching. Since Hinata protected Haku from the bullies, he's been glued to her side.
Like right now.
Haku was holding Hinata's arm, rubbing his cheek against it like a kitten. The heiress didn't want to hurt his feelings, so she let him be.
"It seems you got competition, Naruto." Kiba said. The fox boy huffed at him and he looked at the younger boy, Haku smirked at him and sticked his tongue out.
'That little brat! He's worse than Hanabi!'
"He's taunting me."
"Relax, dobe. It's only a silly crush it will pass eventually." Sasuke said.
"He's right. No need to get all jealous, it's not a good look for you." Shino stated, and the boys nodded in agreement.
'Traitors.'
~ At the hallway ~
"I don't know why you won't tell him to leave you alone. He's a big boy, he can handle a little rejection." Naruto said.
"I can't do that to him. He's a sweet kid and he doesn't mean any harm." Hinata said, as they were walking to their next class.
"I get that, but come on he shouldn't be clinging on you like some lost puppy." Naruto said and the heiress only laughs at him.
"You're cute, when you're jealous." Hinata teased as she tapped his nose, causing his cheeks to turn pink.
"I-I'm not jealous."
"Sure, you're not." Hinata laughed.
"Hinata-chan!" They saw Haku running towards them, Naruto groaned, which made Hinata elbow his side.
"Haku, is everything okay?"
"Can you show me where Math is?" Haku asked,
"Why don't you ask Sakura?" Naruto mumbled, but stopped when he saw Hinata giving him a side glare.
"Naruto and I were heading over there. You can walk with us." Haku smiled and held her arm. When Hinata wasn't looking, Haku stared back at the fox boy with a taunting smirk.
'Why you!'
~ After class ~
"Hinata-chan, do you mind helping me with my math homework? I'm a bit stuck." Haku asked.
"No, she is officially my study partner, which means she is already helping me." Naruto glared. The beauty sighed as the two bicker.
She can already see electricity going through their eyes, as they were glaring at each other.
"I can help bo-"
"She can speak for herself. You're just made because I'm taking her attention from you." Haku said.
"Give me a break, the only reason why she is giving you attention is out of pity!" Naruto snapped.
"Naruto!" Hinata snapped. Haku looked down and ran off, while Hinata was calling out for him. She was about to go after him, but Naruto held her arm.
"No, I'll go."
He didn't mean to say that to Haku, it was just aggravating how Haku was pretty much bragging about Hinata's attention.
At the same time, Naruto can understand why the boy is attracted to the school's beauty. She protected him against the bullies and showed him kindness.
~ At the schoolyard ~
The Uzumaki spotted Haku under a tree, deeper in the schoolyard. He walked up to him, feeling more guilty when he heard him sniffling.
"Haku?"
The younger boy looked up at Naruto and turned his face.
"What do you want?" He said, coldly.
"I want to apologize about what I said. That was uncalled for." He said, rubbing the back of his neck.
Haku wiped his eyes with his sleeve.
"I-I'm sorry too. I shouldn't of kept hogging her from you." Haku said. Naruto was about to resort at the comment.
"Looky, what we got here."
The two saw the jocks from earlier, approaching them and Naruto stood in front of Haku.
"Don't you morons have something better to do." Naruto clenched his fist.
"Step aside, freak. This is between us and little pretty boy." The leader sneered.
"You have to go through me." The fox boy glared and Haku gasped.
The leader snapped his fingers and the second job charged at Naruto, before he could land a punch Naruto caught his fist and punched him in the center of his stomach.
The jock held his stomach in pain and the third tried to jump at Naruto, but he moved out of the way, making the jock's face planted on the tree and Haku moved out of the way.
The second jock got up and used his chakra, hurling past Naruto, aiming for Haku, but in a orange flash Naruto grabbed the jock by the collar.
While distracted, the lead jock go in front of Haku and kicked him to the side. He chuckled and his hand started glowing white claws.
"Boys like you make me sick. Fucking fa-" In a orange flash, Naruto grabbed the jock's face and smashed his face on the ground.
"Don't even finish that word. Asshole." Naruto's eyes flashed red.
"Naruto-kun! Haku!" Haku saw Hinata running to them.
"Hinata-chan!" Haku smiled and when Naruto shifted his attention to Hinata, the lead jock shoved the fox boy to the ground and was about to attack Haku.
"Haku! Look out!" Hinata tried to reach for him and the young boy, slowly turned around and covered his face, expected the impact.
Instead, he felt someone holding him and he saw blood splattered. He looked up and saw Naruto's pained expression.
"Naruto!" Hinata yelled, while Haku was in shock.
"A-are y-you okay, Haku?" Naruto asked, hissing in pain. He can already tell, it's going to take a while for that wound to heal since it was pretty deep.
"Y-you protected me..."
"O-of course. I wasn't going to let you get hurt...not on my watch." Naruto groaned and fell over, and Haku caught him and Hinata ran to the fox's side.
"Will he be okay?" The boy asked, concerned.
"We need to take him to the inf-Ahh!" Hinata screamed, when the lead jock grabbed her by the hair.
"Hinata-chan!"
"Move and the bitch gets it!" The jock placed his clawed hand to her neck. Naruto tried to get up, but due to his injury he couldn't move.
Haku looked between Naruto and Hinata, and before the jock knew it a pair of needles were thrown at him.
He shoved Hinata and blocked the needles. The jock saw Haku was glowing mint green and there were needles between his fingers.
"Leave us alone!" Haku threw them and when one of them pierced the jock's arm, he felt his arm go numb.
"Naruto, are you okay?" Hinata asked, helping him up. He watched as Haku was trying to stop the jock, but he can tell the younger boy was getting weaker since he was using too much chakra.
"Y-you need to help him. He can't hold o-off on his own." Naruto said. Hinata glanced at Haku and she noticed he was losing stamina.
Hinata nodded at Naruto and he removed Hinata's amulet.
Haku and the jock stopped as they watched Hinata transformed into her dark self. Her Byakugan activated and she growled at the jock.
"You're going to pay for what you did to Naruto."
'Such power.' Haku thought.
"What are you going to do about it? Princess."
Hinata kicked him in the chest and he crashed into three rows of trees. The two other jocks came running behind her, and she smirked.
Her hands glow blue and she raised them up, levitating the two jocks in the air. She dropped her hands, making them faceplant on the ground knocking them out.
'Wow.'
Dark Hinata turned around and she raised one hand, the lead jock got up from the ground and was pulled towards her.
Hinata's veins on her hand started glowing purple.
She placed her hand on his forehead and he screamed, when his eyes and mouth started glowing white.
Haku stood there amazed at how Hinata sucked the jock's chakra out his body, and tossed the unconscious victim to the side.
"Weakling." She shattered the chakra in pieces.
"W-what did you do?"
"I shattered his chakra. He won't be bothering you anymore." Dark Hinata said and she gave the boy a side glance.
"You remind me of the other Hinata when she was younger. She was just as shy as you." The dark heiress said.
Haku only stared at her.
"Until you become stronger, Naruto and I will protect you from now on, and that's a promise." Hinata vowed and rubbed Haku's head, causing him to blush and she kneeled next to Naruto.
"I guess the training didn't pay off, a-after all." Naruto said.
"Don't see yourself short. You were protecting Haku, if that weakling played fair you could of easily beaten him." She said and her hands started glowing lavender.
"Stay still. This is going to sting."
She hovered her hands over Naruto's back and the claw marks slowly tried to close up, and he hissed from discomfort since he can feel his skin sizzling.
Haku steady observing them with sparks in his eyes and there was glow around them.
~ Next Day ~
Naruto saw Hinata waiting for him at the school's gate and approached her with a smile.
"Morning, Hinata."
"Good morning, Naruto-kun."
They walked together like their normal school routine.
"I'm surprised Haku isn't with you." Naruto said.
"I haven't seen him after what happened yesterday." Hinata said, in thought. After what happened, Haku been quiet around them.
"I'm sure he'll be fine. I don't blame him, who know what could of happen to him if we weren't there." The Uzumaki said.
You have a point."
"Hinata-chan!" They looked ahead and saw Haku running to them, and hugged Hinata by her waist.
'I'm glad he's back to his normal self.' Naruto thought, grinning.
"I didn't forget about you, Naruto-kun!" Haku smiled and hugged him the same way he did with Hinata.
"Huh?"
"I want to thank you two for protecting me. It was so cool how you two were fighting those jerks, it was so beautiful!" Haku gushed.
Hinata and Naruto blushed at the compliment.
"That's why I've decided."
The two teens looked at the preteen.
"I want to marry both of you!" Haku said, with hearts in his eyes. Naruto's mouth hung open, while Hinata's face turned beet red.
"Y-you can't marry both of us!" Naruto yelled, with a red face.
"Why not? Poly isn't uncommon." Haku said, with an innocent face. Hinata was too busy in shock and Naruto gaped.
"S-s-still! I'm not interested in guys!" Naruto said.
"That's what they all say." Haku waved him off and Naruto was about to resort, but the school bell started ringing.
"Time for class!"
Haku grabbed the couple's wrists, and dragged them along to the entrance, with a cheerful smile on his face.
~ Somewhere ~
"No matter how many times I sent my soldiers to take that Hyuga Bitch, it seems she always finds a way to defeat them! Not only that, but new people are started to intervene with my plans!" A woman shouted and slammed her fist on the table.
"How about you sent me out there again?"
"Don't fool yourself, Toneri. She already defeated you before, what makes you think this time will be any different?" The woman snarled.
"I learned my lesson, besides we now know without Naruto she's vulnerable. All I need is to get her alone." Toneri bowed.
"How will you manage to do that? From my observation, it seems they know exactly when one of them is in danger." The woman said.
"Don't worry about that my queen. I have a plan." Toneri said.
"Fine, but the next time you fail me I won't go easy on you." The woman glared.
"I promise, I won't disappoint you."
With that said, Toneri disappeared in a flash, leaving the woman alone to her thought.
'I'll make sure to take back what is mine! Even if I have to terminate her!'
