Here is another harry potter fanfiction.

The grave stood alone and was unkempt. She kneeled down and pulled the weeds away. He had been forty-nine years old; he had been killed in the last battle of the war. She had been too afraid to talk to him; she had thought she could tell him after the war was over. But she had never had the chance.

"I love you." She whispered, placing her hand on the tombstone. She could remember when she had found he had been killed. She hadn't cried then, because she didn't want anyone to know. But she when she had been alone; she couldn't stop crying.

"I've always loved you. But was too afraid to tell you." She said, tracing the name on the grave.

"You were so intelligent, and determined. I adored you. You challenged me to do my best, even then I wasn't good enough." She said, as if it was a compliment. She laid the flowers, she had brought, on the ground; they were wrapped in silver and green paper. She kissed her hand and then pressed it to the grave.

"I will always remember you, Severus Snape." She said, standing up and pulling her coat tighter around her.

"He didn't deserve to die." Someone said behind her. She turned around suddenly. Albus Dumbledore stood there, with his hands behind his back. She bowed her head and nodded.

"I know, Headmaster." She whispered, putting her hands in her pockets.

"Did you really love him?" he asked, walking to stand beside her. She thought about the question for a few minutes. Did she really love him? Then she remembered the day before the fatal battle.

Flashback

"Mrs. Granger, don't you ever let anyone tell you you're stupid." Prof. Snape muttered, flipping through a book. She looked up at him and cocked an eyebrow. She was helping him with a potion, but he hadn't seemed so excited about it.

"Why do you say that, Professor?" she asked, returning back to stirring the caldron.

"You're stubborn, Mrs. Granger, not an idiot." He replied, standing beside her. She blushed slightly.

"Thank you, Professor." She said, pushing her hair back out of her face.

"I could see that the minute I met you." He continued. She smiled and looked up at him. He hadn't changed much, except for his hairstyle and clothing attire. His greasy black hair was shorter and slicked back and he wore black pants and a green turtleneck and sometimes his robes. His attitude hadn't changed much, except he wasn't so bias against Gryffindors.

"I never told you this, Mrs. Granger. But you were always one of my favorite students and one of most intelligent people I've ever met." He complimented. She smiled and bowed her head to hide her blushing.

End of Flashback

"Mrs. Granger?" Headmaster Dumbledore said, brining her back to the present. She shook her head and looked up at him.

"Did you truly love him?" he asked again, placing his hand on her shoulder. She smiled and nodded.

"Yes."
