(Violet's Pov)
We took our seats at the main table and a servant brought all of us something to drink. The fact that Gabe is still here pisses me off but I deal with it. We get our drinks and I look to Duck who nods to me.
"So, I went to the library for all of us and checked out some of these books." He says as he hands me a book and then Clementine grabbed one and I look through it a bit.
"So, we have to read?" Gabe says and we all glared at him.
"Do you not care for people's safety?" Sarah asked and he looked to her.
"Why should we worry about this person?" He asked and I saw him glance at me and I glare at him a bit.
"Unlike you this person is being used to benefit a group of people that would gladly take over your fathers kingdom, along with others, if we know more about it then we can try and find a way to stop it without the help pf the original Witch." Duck says to Gabe and I looked at one page and read it a bit.
"Can't we just kill it by destroying the brain?" He asked.
"Not if it wears armor harder to kill it that way, and burning won't really work, plus we need to ask them who their Witch is so they don't go making another creature like this." Clementine says and I keep reading.
"You find something interesting?" Clem asked and I nodded and read it to them.
"If the Witch also has a sibling who is also a Witch than the effects of any spell can be reversed… though this doesn't always happen due to the religious grounds that families hold themselves up to, the chances of this are rare." I sighed at the end and shook my head.
"So, if they have a sibling… we can help this person?" Mariana asked.
"If the sibling is also a witch, which is highly unlikely to happen." I state and then I think a bit.
"Well, we need to find any other way." Duck says and I nod and I read a bit more into it. That's basically all we did all except for Gabe of course who just sat and looked at Clementine. So I closed my book and looked to him and he glared at me.
"Find anything?" I asked him and the others looked up to look at him.
"How did you survive Crawford?" He asked.
"A nurse saved me." I tell him.
"Stabbed in the heart yet we don't have the tools to help someone who has been stabbed in the heart." He says and I chuckled.
"Stabbed in the chest, not the heart." I say to him.
"Why does it matter Gabe?" Clem asked.
"I said it before, but Violet is the monster." He says.
"Stop with the lies Gabe, you don't know anything that happened, you weren't there." Duck says pissed off.
"Neither were you." Gabe seethed at him and I look to him.
"Why are you so keen on trying to frame me?" I asked and he looked to me pissed.
"I'm not framing you if it's true." He says and I chuckled.
"So, the letters you sent to Clementine have nothing to do with your motives?" I asked him and he looked to me.
"Those were not yours to read." He tells me and I chuckled.
"What letters?" Mariana asked and I pulled them out and I handed them to her so she could read it.
"I have been giving him time to come clean on it but it seems he won't." I say.
"Gabe what the hell?" Mariana says as she slammed the letters on the table and I got up along with Sarah as she held Mariana back and Clementine helped Sarah.
"No, it's not what you think." He says.
"You threatened to kill Violet, who mind you is King here, do you know what they can do to you with this?" She asked pissed and I looked to her then to Gabe.
"She doesn't deserve Clementine, and she's dead anyways, they literally have a dead king." He says and I look to him.
"Violet?" I hear Clem say and I looked to Duck then to Gabe. I honestly don't know why I haven't spoken yet, but I kept quiet as I placed my hand on my sword and I tapped it a bit as I looked to him. He had placed his hand on his own sword and I smirked to myself and moved my hand away from my sword.
"Is everything ok?" I hear and we all look to see Lee and the other royals and I looked to Gabe a bit then to his uncle.
"Javier did you teach your son the laws of Macon?" I asked him.
"Vi-."
"Clem not now." I tell her and I looked to Javier.
"He knows the basics yes… what's going on here?" Javier asked and I look to the letters on the table.
"Did you teach him the laws when threatening the life of the king here?" I asked him and they looked confused as I grabbed the letters off the table.
"He should know, yes." Javier says and I look to him.
"Seems he forgot the laws… how about I repeat them." I say and looked to Gabe and then his uncle.
"If someone is to threaten the life of the king, they are to be executed or held in prison for life, and tortured until they die…. So… Clementine… choose what happens to Gabe." I say and take a seat and looked to her then to the others.
"I uh… I can't." She says and I look to her.
"I know you think there could be some good in him but you should know by now he doesn't, and there is no point in saving him." I simply tell her.
"Violet, what is going on?" Lee asked and I held the letters up a bit.
"Gabe here wrote to Clementine, telling her how he would kill me and marry her, along with many other letters with may other things stated in it… like how he was going to sleep with my wife even though she is with me." I say and toss a letter on the table.
"How he was going to kill any children we had because according to him, a child made with the help of a witch is a product of the devil." I say and toss another letter to the table.
"The list goes on and on, on what he has written to Clementine, even after she was married to me… and I have been kind enough to be civil but right now, I think my kindness is wearing thin." I say and glare at the boy as he glared back at me.
"She's mad because I am telling the truth, I was given a letter that states that Violet here is the Walker we are all looking for, a Witch is controlling her, and she only married Clementine to gain power, what would I have to gain if I married Clementine instead?" Gabe says and I chuckled a bit.
"I am not a Walker Gabe, you cut my hand yesterday and I bled when you said I wouldn't, you were never at the battle of Crawford so you don't know what you claim happened to me, I am not a Walker." I say and I watched as he pulled his sword out and everyone backed up a bit and I got up from my seat and glared at him.
"I know you are a Walker." He says.
"From a letter by whom?" I asked.
"The Delta, we are all on good terms with them now, they have to be telling the truth." He says and I laughed.
"Who in the Delta?" I asked him and he looked to me.
"I-It just said Delta." He says and I could hear the worry in his voice.
"I'll ask again… who in the Delta?" I asked and I know the others were waiting on an answer.
"It just said Delta." He says.
"And we are supposed to believe this? That you think you are right because you received a letter with Delta written as the writer of the letter? You have no clue who wrote it, maybe you wrote the letter." I accused him and I walked around him a bit and I look to the others.
"I DIDN'T!" He yells and I looked to Clementine.
"I think we all should know by now that you wrote the letter out of jealousy that Clementine married someone who wasn't you, so you decided to accuse me of being this Walker that we are all hunting down and the Witch that made this monster as well, you aren't looking in any of the books to help us you were only looking at my wife, MY WIFE!" I yell the last part and I look to everyone else.
"You threatened to harm any children we have together, you aren't helping us in researching the Walker and the Witch, you said you would kill me and marry Clementine, tell me this Gabe why should anyone belive you? You wouldn't come to help aid the Macon Knights in the battle in Crawford, you claim you fought a witch when we all know they are peaceful unless provoked or bribed for this matter, you don't care for the safety of anyone if you won't even help us look into this problem." I stated as I place my hand on my sword and he looked to me.
"You are the Walker, the Delta told me this, they said a witch went into your tent and stole your heart, you are dead, you are only wanting power." He says.
"Gabe stop this." Javier says and I look to Gabe's uncle then back to the boy.
"It seems you're the only one wanting power, I mean marrying Clementine would give you control of Macon along with your own kingdom, I think you told Clementine in the letters that you and her should make your own kingdom, that sounds pretty greedy for power right there." I tell him and at this point he decided to swing his sword at me and I sidestepped and he fell forward a bit and I look t him.
"GABE STOP!" People yelled and they tried to get to us but I held my hand up to stop them and they do so. I was done playing the nice King, so I pulled my own sword out. I looked to Gabe as he turned to look at me and he looked at my sword and I raised a brow to him.
"Is this what you want?" I asked as I held my sword to my side.
"You… You can't pull." He tried to say but I laughed.
"I'm sorry, you think I can't pull my sword to defend myself? I think you seem to forget that I just told you, you can be executed for threatening to kill me… I have every right to pull my sword out." I tell him and he looked to the others.
"Gabe just put your sword away." His uncle tells him and Gabe looked back to me.
"N-No." He says.
"Gabe put it away." His uncle says again.
"I think you should listen to him Gabe." I say and he looked to me.
"Unlike you I know how to fight." I tell him and his breath hitches a bit as he looked to me and he slowly puts his sword away and I place mine back in its sheath. Everything was quiet and I looked to the others then back to Gabe.
"I would suggest Gabe leave Macon, and if he writes to Clementine or comes back to Macon then he shall be seeing my sword in his stomach." I tell Javier and he looked to me and nods.
"Mariana, you may come anytime you like." I tell her and she nods.
"I think we should all head to bed." Duck says.
"Once Gabe leaves." I tell them and he looked to his uncle trying to ask for any help but I looked to Javier and shook my head.
"Gabe… we should go now." He says and I nod and I along with Lee take the two to their horses and watched them both leave.
"Violet." I hear and look to Lee.
"Yes?" I asked.
"I uh… hm." Lee sighs and then shakes his head and heads into the castle and I looked to the road that Gabe and Javier went down. I then went inside the castle to see Clementine looking at me and I walk up to her. I touched her shoulder and she shakes her head a bit.
"You cannot be mad at me for taking my sword out, I was allowed to at that point." I tell her.
"I know… I know but my father expected a bit more… restrain from you." She says and I look to her.
"He's going to have to live with it, Gabe threatened me in a letter what makes your father think he wouldn't have taken the opportunity to kill me right then and there?" I asked as I circled her a bit. She looked at me and I stopped walking and I looked to the side a bit then back to her.
"Did he want you to marry Gabe?" I asked a bit pissed.
"I don't know and I don't want to know, and I don't want you to ask him…Violet… is there something going on?" She asked and I look to her a bit then shook my head.
"There is nothing going on, other than the fact that Gabe is becoming an issue." I tell her.
"There has to be a reason he is acting like this though." She says.
"Jealousy for one thing, he's mad I took you away from him in his delusions, he want's to frame me for something that isn't even true and uses the Delta as a crutch now that we are all on good terms, I think he's working with the New Frontier." I tell her and she looked to me.
"I… now you are making assumptions." She says.
"Come on, think about it Clem, really think about it." I tell her and she looked to me and I look back to her as she thought.
"I did what I thought was right… that's all I can tell you." I tell her and she nods and I take her to our room. I saw Marlon and I open the door for Clementine and let her in. I then closed the door and I went over to Marlon who looked to me.
"Hello King Violet." He says and I nod to him.
"Did Gabe talk with Clem at all?" I asked him and he nods.
"Yes, he did." He tells me and I look at him more.
"What did he say?" I asked.
"Something about how he was thinking of getting married soon or something like that." He says and I look to him.
"Hm… well Gabe is no longer allowed in Macon, if he comes on these lands then you are to capture him and lock him up, rough him up a bit too if you have to." I inform him and he nods.
"We will keep an eye on him, anything else?" He asked and I think a bit.
"If you find any letter that come from him, send them to me, I told him that he wasn't allowed to write to her anymore." I tell him and he nods. We then take our leave and I head back to my room, I opened the door to see Clementine getting changed and I close the door and she turned to look at me and I nod a bit as I head to the bathroom and I take a bath for a bit. I then hear the door open and I see Clementine walk in and take a seat next to the tub and I look to her.
"You, ok?" I asked and she nods.
"Yes, just a bit shaken tonight… Mariana is mad at her brother, Sarah is shaken and Duck he's just not showing any emotions." She tells me and I nod.
"I will apologize to the others tomorrow for my actions, but for now we all need to calm down and relax." I say to her and she nods and then she places her hand in the water and I look to her.
"…. I got a letter from someone names S, it was on my bed." She says and I sit up a bit and I look to her.
"What did it say?" I asked and she looked to me.
"… They told me to watch out… that was it." She says and I look to her a bit confused at this and I look to the water a bit and I rubbed some of the water on my face and I take a breath.
"Ok, I need to find out who this person is." I state.
"They had the Delta seal if that makes things easy for you." Clementine tells me and I look to her.
"Delta?" I asked and she nods and I nod at this.
"That might help." I say and then I got out the tub and I dried myself off and I put on some bed clothes. Clem and I then went to the bed and we laid on separate sides of Mary and I look to Clementine who looked to Mary and Clementine rubbed Mary's back a bit as she whimpered and I looked to the girl.
"Did thy ever tell you about how Mary ended up at the orphanage?" Clementine asked and I looked to her and shook my head no.
"According to the people that brought her, they said her home was ransacked and her parents were… killed… and she saw it happen." Clem tells me and I looked to the girl then back to Clementine.
"When she said she saw a shadow in her room I thought about what Christa told me about her, and I don't know… I don't want her to be scared." Clementine says and we both looked to the little girl and I looked to the crib a bit.
"They won't have to be scared… so long as I'm around." I muttered the last part and I look to Clementine.
"And that is what I am afraid of Violet." She tells me and I look to her. I was a bit confused as to what she meant by that.
"I don't understand." I tell her.
"You, are the type of person who would rather risk their own life to protect others… I admire it but I also don't because I know one day you will end up dead because of this." She says and I looked to her.
"I know I can't promise that I won't die from my actions but I will try my best not to." I tell her and she sighed but nodded at this and I smiled at her. Mary than shifted a bit in the bed and moved closer to me and I looked to Clementine as she giggled a bit at this and I looked to Clem then to Mary.
"She really likes you." She tells me and I look to Clem.
"You think?" I asked and she nods.
"I think she's going to look up to you a lot." She tells me and I chuckled a bit at this.
"I wouldn't be a great role model in all honesty." I say quietly.
"What makes you think that?" Clem asked and I shrugged a bit at this.
"I almost killed Gabe, I have been stressing with these laws that people want, I guess I get angry easily." I list off some things.
"I haven't seen you really get angry in all honesty." She tells me and I think on it for a bit and sighed.
"I know I do though, I just can't show it a lot." I tell her and she nods.
"We should go to sleep; we have a big day tomorrow." She tells me and I nod in agreement as I closed my eyes and fell asleep. I woke up to the sound of AJ crying so I get up quickly as does Clementine and I saw a shadow near his crib and I quickly get up and tackle it. I honestly didn't know if my eyes were playing tricks on me because I feel onto the wall and I rubbed my head a bit just as Clementine lit a candle and she grabbed AJ. Mary had also woken up as I turned around on the floor and I look to Clementine who looked to me.
"You saw that too, right?" She asked and I nodded as I lit a few more candles and looked around the room a bit.
"It was the shadow again." Mary says and I nod.
"Yea… we saw it too." I say and looked around the room a bit. The window was open a bit so I took a look outside on the balcony but saw nothing so I go back inside and closed the window and I looked to Clementine.
"You, ok?" Clem asked as she finally had AJ calmed down and she felt my head a bit. I nodded as she moved her hand away and I looked around the room more.
"Yea, I'm good, is AJ, ok?" I asked and she nods.
"He doesn't have any marks on him, I think it just scared him." She says and I nod at this.
"Well, it's gone now." I say and she nods and I look to Mary who held her doll close to her and I go over to her.
"You, ok?" I asked her and she nods.
"I'm ok." She says and I nod. I moved away from the bed a bit and I think a bit.
"I'm going to talk to someone on this, I'll be back I promise." I tell Clem and she nods as I look to her side of the bed and I saw the dagger so I nod and I head out the room into the hallway. I then see Minerva walking in the hall and I go over to her.
"Minerva." I say and she looked to me.
"Yes?" She asked and I pull her to the side and she looked to me a bit shocked.
"There was a shadow in our room it scared the hell out of AJ." I tell her and she looked to me.
"A shadow person?" She asked.
"I don't know, all I know is, is that Mary had seen it the night before, and now Clem, AJ, and I have seen it, is this your doing?" I asked and she shook her head.
"I can't do that stuff… may I come to the room to see?" She asked and I think a bit and I nod as I take her to the room and Clem looked to me.
"AJ is fine Violet." She says and I nod.
"I just want to make sure is all, I have no clue what that thing was but I need Minerva to check is all." I lied and Minerva nods at this.
"It's ok to be extra sure… may I see him?" She asked and Clem hands AJ over to Minerva and I watch her as she checked him over. She nods and hands AJ back to Clem and she looked to me a bit and I nod.
"He's ok, nothing wrong just scared." She says and Clementine nods at this as Minerva and I leave the room and I look to her.
"It was a person, not a shadow person…. You might hate me saying this but I think it was Gabe." She says and I look to her.
"How can you tell?" I asked her.
"Everyone has a… certain energy to them, and it felt like his, I would say for you to get a Witch so I'm not discovered." She tells me and I sighed and leaned on the wall a bit.
"Ok… Ok, I will find another Witch but if it is him, I will fucking-." I tried to say but the door opened and I saw Mary as she looked to me.
"Violet?" she asked and I kneeled down to her level as she came up to me.
"Yes?" I asked.
"What did you mean by another Witch?" she asked and I rubbed my neck a bit.
"Uh, well we had a Witch here before and all but we need to bring them back or try to find another one, they should know more on this shadow than I do." I explained and she nods.
"Clem wanted me to ask if you could get some milk for AJ." She says and I nod and I pick Mary up.
"We can both get him some milk, and some stuff for you and Clem." I tell her and she nods and I look to Minerva and she nods and I take Mary to the kitchen. We grabbed some warm milk for AJ and some tea for Clementine and I along with some bread to munch on. We then headed back to the room and I handed Clem the milk and she fed AJ and I placed the tray on the table and I looked to all of them as Mary sat and drank some of the tea as well.
"We need to get a Witch here again." I say to Clem who looks to me.
"Are you sure?" She asked and I nodded at this.
"I know nothing on this, and I need to make sure it's not going to be a recurring thing." I say to her and she nods at this.
"Alright, if you think we need to, then I get the Witch Lee called for last time." She tells me and I nod and I grabbed AJ from her and fed him some more and she drank some tea. It took a while for everyone to calm down a bit and AJ had fallen back to sleep so I placed him in the crib again and I sat on the bed as Mary had fallen back to sleep. I looked to Clem who was laying down and she looked to me and I nod to her.
"I'll stay up if you need me to." I tell her and she shook her head.
"Whatever that thing was, I don't think it will be coming back soon." She tells me and I nod a bit as I lay back in the bed and we fell asleep again. We were woken up by a knock on the door and I slowly got up and rubbed my face a bit then headed to the door to see Lee looking at me.
"Morning, we have a meeting today." He tells me and I nod as I go and get changed. Clem and the others were still asleep and I followed Lee to what we call the war room. I saw Kenny and the others there and we all took a seat just as we were given some food to eat for breakfast.
"So, Duck has explained more on the Walker I think we all know this by now." Kenny says and I nod.
"Yes, he got some books for us to read into it more." I tell him and he nods.
"About yesterday." Lee says and I look to him.
"With Gabe." He says and I keep looking at him as he was thinking on what to say.
"He's not allowed here anymore." I tell him.
"I understand that, but we still need to stay on the Kingdom of Richmond's good side, and if Gabe were to be king one day… I just don't want a war to break out between us." He says and I look to him.
"He will not start a war so long as Clementine lives here, we all know that for sure… though I do want to state that I will be sending a letter to a Witch today." I tell him.
"Wait why?" Kenny asked and I looked to him then back to Lee.
"There was a shadow person in our room, Clem and I had thought it was Mary being scared of being in a new place but we all saw it… scared the hell out of AJ and I just want to make sure my family is safe, and not in any danger." I explained to him.
"I don't think we should have a witch here… maybe a priest." Lee says and I look to him.
"No, the Witch will have to do for now Lee." I tell him and he looked to me.
"I'm sorry what?" He asked and I looked to him.
"I said I will have a Witch come here to see the issue with the shadow, I'm sorry but a priest isn't going to work for something like this." I tell him.
"I don't want a Witch here." He says and I was confused at this and I shook my head at this.
"I am sorry Lee but I have no choice on this, AJ and Mary have been scared because of this thing and the only thing right now is to get a Witch on this, a priest is just going to tell you it's the work of the devil and you know it as much as I do that, they will use Clem and I's marriage to say this stuff." I tell him and he looked to me.
"I am not wrong on this Lee; you're just going to have to trust me on this." I tell him and he shakes his head and I looked to the others. We talked some more about New Frontier and after that was all done we got up shook hands, and they left and I went to see Clem and the others talking to each other.
"How was the meeting?" Duck asked.
"It was ok for the most part." I tell him.
"There was an issue?" Clem asked and I was looking to AJ a bit as he grabbed my fingers again and I smiled.
"Yea, your dad doesn't want a Witch here again instead he want's a priest and I told him no." I tell her and looked up to her.
"I understand why Lee wouldn't want a Witch here but I know I can trust you on this." She says and I nod. We all just took this time to relax before we all decided to head into the town. We all got ready for our walk and as we reached in the main center of the town, I looked around a bit and saw that not much has changed, I haven't really been in town for a while since I have been busy with the new laws, and trying to figure things out with my own life. It was then we heard Carver preaching to the people again and I looked to him as he mentioned me.
"God has told me that the so-called new king is nothing but the worker of Satan, and that she has forced the princess into a devils marriage." He says and I shake my head at this.
"Does this happen a lot?" Sarah whispered to me and I nodded at this.
"Can you prove it though?" I hear someone in the crowd ask and I looked to them then to Carver.
"God has told me that's proof enough." He says and I shake my head and he looked to me and I look back at him.
"See she has taken two children for her own." He says and the people look at us.
"They could have had a loving mother and father instead they are forcing these kids to see the life of homosexuality, a disgusting sight." He says and I glare at him.
"Tell me Carver how many kids have you adopted?" I asked and they crowd looked to him.
"I don't have to answer-."
"Oh no, you do have to answer to this, how many kids have you adopted?" I asked and the crowd was waiting for his answer.
"If you cannot answer that means you have not adopted any children, which means you don't really care about the orphans, and you want to tell these people that by giving children a loving home is a bad thing?" I asked him and the crowd looks to me as I walked up to him.
"I will ask you one more time Carver… how many children have you adopted?" I asked as I got in his face and he glared at me.
"God does not want me to take in children for I am a good man, he want's you people to take in the children." He says to the crowd.
"Seems to me that the priest doesn't care for the children to take in any of his own, seems to me that you Carver are a oh what is the word… hypocrite?" I asked and I hear people whisper in the crowd.
"Yea why would you speak ill of the King and Queen taking in children, but you won't take any in?" Someone asked him and he looked to the crowd and then back to me. He then chuckled a bit.
"I donate to the orphanages; I care for the children." He says.
"That was only because the king made the law making you donate to them when you lie, you haven't even been near the orphans or even the sick people." Someone says.
"I uh." He tried to say something.
"Don't try to defend yourself Carver they all have a copy of the Law I wrote just for you, and it seems you should be paying a hefty sum of gold to the orphans and people soon, also don't you ever speak ill about me in front of my family, especially my children, or I'll have you run out of town." I warn him and he backed up a bit scared but I don't know why. I then headed to Clem and the others and we walked around a bit more, we took the kids to the park for a bit and we sat by the water.
"This would seem like a great place for a picnic." Sarah says and I nod.
"I can get some food if you guys want any." I offered.
"No, it's ok we had a big breakfast." Duck says and they all nod. I looked to Mary who was looking at the water a bit and I pull her to my lap and I tickle her. She giggles at this and I smiled as I stopped and looked back to the waters. We all just relaxed and the girls were talking to AJ and Duck sat next to me and Mary just stayed in my lap as I just looked to the waters more.
"Do you like the water?" I hear her ask and I think a bit on this.
"Kind of." I say.
"Oh?" She asked and I nodded.
"Had to save Clem here one time… at this park actually." I say as I look to Clementine.
"Never heard about this." Duck says and Clem shakes her head a bit.
"When we were at the orphanage, they took us on a trip to the park, and well I wanted to go and see the ducks… forgetting that I couldn't swim and well… I fell in." she says and I nod at this.
"I saw it happen so I ran into the water and grabbed Clementine and brought her to land, it was pretty scary." I stated.
"I can see why." Mariana says and I looked to Mary.
"Why is that priest guy mean to you and Clementine?" She asked and I look to Clementine and she looked to Mary.
"We don't know why he's mean." She says.
"He's an idiot, he's mad that I make him pay for his lies, and doesn't like when people question him." I tell her.
"So, he's a bully?" She asked.
"I guess you can say that." Sarah says and I chuckled.
"Bully is a tame word for men like him, hell he isn't even a man so to speak." I say to them and I laughed a bit. I then hear some horses running near us and I get up to see Marlon as he rode up to us and he hopped off the horse and ran up to me.
"Uh Violet we have an issue." He says and I look to him confused.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"We just found out that the Knights in Richmond will be heading here in a few days." He tells me and I look to Clementine a bit worried.
"Why?" I asked.
"Seems Gabe is ordering them now… I'm sorry Mariana but… your uncle… Gabe has." Marlon tried to say what he wanted to say and I look to Mariana ash she had the look of horror on her face.
"I think we should all head to the castle now and warn Lee and the others." I tell them and we all agree and I think a bit. They grabbed a cart for all of us but I made sure the others got in and I walked next to them as we head to the castle. I keep my guard up as we walked past the town and I think on how we were going to tell the town folks and Lee on the issue at hand. We finally made it to the castle and I help the others in as we see Lee and the others in the main hall.
"How was the walk into town?" Lee asked.
"It was good but Lee, Gabe is going to cause some problems here." Clementine says and he looked to me.
"Marlon has informed me that Gabe has killed his uncle, and has taken over Richmond, Kenny and Duck should head to their kingdom to make sure Gabe doesn't take over there, I think Carlos should go to his own kingdom as well." I say to all of them.
"Wait hold on, you just kicked him out of here yesterday." Carlos says.
"That boy has always been crazy." Kenny says and I nod at this.
"Is he really that petty?" Carlos asked and I nodded at this as well.
"He is… look we just need to get everyone safe and you need to make sure Gabe doesn't take over your kingdoms, if you need me to we can send some of my men with you to keep you safe and they can stay at your kingdom if you need them to." I tell them and look to Marlon.
"I think we should try to talk to Gabe." Lee says and we all look to him.
"Lee, he just killed his own uncle, I think talking to him has been thrown out the door." I tell him.
"I don't want a war to happen no death but there has to be some other way." He says.
"Whatever, Marlon get some men to escort the other royals to their homes, if you think your men need to stay at their kingdoms then do so and make sure they send letters to me so I know what is going on." I tell him and he nods and leaves with the other royals and I look to Clementine as I take her and the kids to our room and I grabbed some bags.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"… You and the kids need to be kept safe; I need to get my armor." I say and I saw her put AJ in the crib and she came up to me.
"You aren't going out there." She says and I look to her then to Mary a bit.
"We can talk about this later." I tell her and she nods as she takes Mary to her room and I pack Clementine's bags and I put some of AJ's new stuff in there as well. I hear a knock on the door and I open it to see Mitch.
"What is going on?" He asked and I let him in.
"You need to take Clementine and the kids to a safe place; I've explained it to you before when we use to travel." I tell him and he nods.
"Understood, I'll take them there." He says and I nod and I think a bit. After I handed the bags to Mitch and Clementine had come in and gave Mary's bag to him as well, I looked to her and I thought a bit.
"Mitch will be taking you and the kids to a secret place; trust me we've had this planned for a while so no one knows where it is." I tell her and she nods. I saw that Mary was getting tired and I pick her up and I lay her in the bed. I then pulled Clementine to the side as I looked to Mary who looked to be asleep but I kept my voice low.
"Clementine, I'm going to go-."
"No, stay with us." She says to me, stopping me from finishing my sentence.
"Clementine, I want you and the kids safe, you know this, and I know this… I promise I will fix this." I tell her.
"There is nothing for you to fix, this isn't your fault." She says.
"I… look I have no clue about this all I know is that something needs to be fixed and you and the kids need to be safe, don't worry Mitch is going to watch you, I'll even have Louis and the others go with you so they are safe as well." I tell her and she looked to me.
"Don't go." She tells me and I look at her.
"I have-."
"Do. Not. Go." She says and I look at her as I see tears in her eyes and I pull her close to me into a hug.
"Please don't go." She says as she grips the back of my shirt and I keep her close to me.
"I have to, Clem… you know this." I tell her.
"I don't want to lose you." She tells me.
"You won't lose me; you haven't lost me yet." I tell her.
"Just don't go." She says and I sighed.
"I'm just making sure you three are safe, Clem I'm sorry but I have to do this, Gabe did this because of me." I tell her.
"He's just crazy." She says and I nod.
"I know… don't worry I will fix this though, ok." I tell her and she shakes her head and I rock her side to side a bit. After a while I was able to get Clem and the kids to the carriage as Mitch took them to the safe house and I look to Marlon as he looked to me.
"Are you ready?" He asked me and I sighed a bit and looked as the carriage left my field of vision and I nod.
"Ready as I'll ever be." I tell him and we headed inside the castle. We had to make plans for what could be another war on our hands and I saw Minerva as she looked to me and nods and I head to the war room with Marlon and we begin to make our plans.
