(Violet's Pov)
I was sitting in the kitchen writing a letter to Clementine. I couldn't find the right words to say to her so I just made it as simple as I could telling her I would be back when I could make it. I sighed as I set the ink to the side, and I rubbed my face a bit and looked to see Hayley looking at me.
"You doing, ok?" I hear her ask and I nod.
"As best as I can at this moment… I mean how else am I supposed to feel?" I answer her and then looked to the side a bit at the letter.
"We can work that out later, so what do you need help with?" She asked and I look to her and think.
"How did you control this?" I asked and she looked to me and sighed.
"I honestly kept away from people but that was when I was younger, after a while I had your great grandmother help me with her potions but… she isn't here to make them." She says.
"Could another witch make this stuff?" I asked and she looked to me.
"You know your original witch?" She asked and I nodded.
"It's very complicated but I know who she is." I tell her.
"I want to know all this." She tells me and I sighed and rubbed my neck.
"I… the basic story is that Gabe accused me of being a walker and such and the witch gave me my heart back only thing is she messed up when she took it back it was too fast, and I ended up being how I am right now… and it just… I don't know." I tried to explain, and she looked to me a bit worried.
"I know things are hard for you right now, but it does seem that you have been trying your best to work this out… and your wife seems to be trying her best to help if you'd let her." She says and I nod.
"I don't want her involved I know she is but for fuck sake she shouldn't have to, not her not the kids no one but me… I'm not trying to be a god damn… hero or something, I just don't want people to get hurt when it's my problem… I know they want to help, and I thank them for it but this…. This is something that I have to try and do alone." I tell her and she looked to me.
"So why did you come to me?" She asked and I sighed and rubbed my head.
"I… I just want to… know how I could end it, I mean…. If Clementine dies and I can't live without her, and if I have to watch our children get older and die… it would be the end of me." I tell her and she looked to me.
"Do you think I am a bad person for living longer than my son?" She asked and I look at her.
"No." I tell her truthfully.
"Are you sure?" She asked and I nod.
"I do not think you are a bad person for living longer than your son… you and I are different… I have been with Clementine for so long and… these kids… I love them as if they are my own, and our child that clementine and I are having…. I couldn't bare to see them go before me… and god I don't know what I'm trying to say anymore." I tell her.
"I can get an understanding, you love them and you don't want to see them go before you, that's with all parent's no parent wants to see their children or even loved ones go, I stayed alive long after Sharon and your grandfather because I was worried for you… my grandson just left you in an orphanage, and I couldn't get you at the time because the old king in Macon didn't take to kind to single parenting, especially with a woman, no husband." She says and I look to her.
"You wanted to adopt me?" I asked and she nods.
"Yes, but as I said the King was an idiot, he was a bastard more like it, wouldn't even allow family to adopt family, saying 'If the main parents don't want the child why would the grandparents or relatives want to take in the child?' it was just… stupid." She says and I nod in agreement.
"Plus, it's hard to say you are my great grandmother, since you haven't aged in years." I joked and she shoved me a bit as I chuckled. We sat in silence for a bit and I rubbed my neck a bit as I looked to the letter and I look back to Hayley.
"So, what do you plan to do about the issue with this annoying prince?" She asked and I think a bit on this.
"I have no choice but to kill him but when I had the chance to do so I was stopped." I tell her and she nods at this.
"We can set up a place for you two to fight, if that is what you really want to do." She tells me and I think.
"I don't know what to do anymore, I really don't, look I don't want to kill the guy he's just…. Lost?" I question a bit on the word. I looked to the table and grabbed the cup as I take a drink.
"It's hard when it comes to this situation." She says.
"What would you do?" I asked her and I look to her as she looks back at me.
"Personally, I would kill him, if he was so fixated on my wife and was threatening to kill me to get to her, I would take him out before he could take me out." She tells me and I nod.
"But you and I are not the same when it comes to this, you feel bad for him."
"Because I caused the problem." I say to her.
"You think that, but you didn't…. you didn't ask to become the monster you and I both are, you didn't ask for this life, none of it is your fault, he should honestly understand it's not easy to talk on this subject, but if he doesn't want to that is on him for not taking the time to think… it's not your fault Violet." She tells me and I look to her and I lean back in the chair.
"But I could have admitted to it when I had the chance." I tell her.
"And he would probably still act the same way even if you did tell the truth he's obsessed with your wife, doesn't that at least bring some idea on what type of person he is?" She asked me and I keep quiet.
"Exactly." She tells me and I sighed a bit at this, and I think just a bit more. After a while we had decided, we should head to bed so she gave a blanket and took me to the spare room I went and laid on the bed for a bit. I was finally able to get some sleep and I know it must have been good since I was woken up later in the day and I look around the room a bit. I get up and head out of the room and I smell some food and I look to see Hayley cooking something and I go and help her. We both sat down at the table and ate.
"We should take you back home." I hear and I look to her and I nod a bit.
"In a while I just need some time to think, and I know I might worry Clem, but I can write to her." I tell her.
"Yes, I do understand this, but you shouldn't worry her if you miss a day on writing her a letter, or if something does happen to you then she will still worry." She tells me and I rubbed my face a bit at this.
"Fine… fine but… will you come with me?" I asked and she nods.
"Yea, I can, but I will have to come back here." She says and I nod at this. We get ready for our trip and as we took some time getting back home, we make a stop in town and get something to eat and so the horses could rest as well.
"So do you ever travel much anymore?" I asked out of random.
"Sometimes I do, I have to be careful sometimes since I don't age, and many people think there are no more Walkers." She explained and I nod at this.
"Would I have to do the same if I don't…. you know?" I asked and she nods.
"Yea, but the town I live in know about me and who I am so that is why I can stay there." She says and I nod.
"Yea well I can't do that as the king of Macon…. I mean you can guess why." I joke a bit and she laughed a bit at this. We grabbed our food, and we ate for a bit and head back to the horses and start to travel again. A few days passed before we finally get to Macon, and I show our documents and they let us in the kingdom. I take her to my home, and I see Clementine and the others by the castle, and I go up to her.
"Violet's back." I hear and Mary runs up to me and I give her a hug and look to Clementine, and she comes up to me and I clear my throat a bit.
"Uh Clem this is Hayley." I introduce her and she nods and looks to me and slaps me and I hold my cheek a bit.
"Do you know how worried I was?" She says pissed.
"Told you." I hear my great grandmother say.
"Alright, I deserved it I get it, and I am sorry, I just… wanted to get some answers." I explained and Clem looks to me.
"Fine, fine…. Just don't do it again." She says and I nod.
"Uh anyway…. We need to uh… figure out what to do about Gabe." I tell her.
"Alright… what do we need to do?" Clem asked and I look to her then to the castle.
"Let's head on inside." I say and we all head in and Mary is taken to the nurse so she wouldn't be involved with this. We all head to the war room and my Great Grandmother looks around a bit.
"So, what are we going to do?" Louis asked and I look to him then to Clementine.
"We need to kill Gabe; we also need to find the Witch working with him and save Mariana." I tell them all.
"Wait he has a Witch too?" Marlon asked and I nod.
"I believe so, I mean he just basically disappeared as Clem… anyway there has to be a Witch involved." I explained and Minerva looked to me.
"Could you look into this?" I asked and she nods at this, and I look to the others.
"And how are we going to kill him?" Louis asked.
"Just have to try and fight him again, no interruptions." I say.
"What makes you think he will agree?" Hayley asked and I look to him.
"If I bring Clem with me." I suggest.
"He's missing an arm I don't think he would agree." Marlon says.
"I think if he wants to make a impression on her." I say to them.
"We could do that." Aasim says and I nod and look to Clementine.
"Alright, we can do this." She agreed and I nod.
"We can agree to do this tonight, we can meet in an open field and just… fight I don't care I want this over with." I say to them.
"Should we bring some knights?" Marlon asked and I shook my head.
"No… no we don't need that we just-." I was then interrupted by a crashing sound, and we all got up and headed out to see a window broken and I look to see someone standing by the side of the building then there is another crash and some screaming, and we run to the sound as more crashing is heard and I see the knights holding some people back, so I grabbed my own sword.
"Clem get the others out." I say.
"Where is Mary and AJ?" She asked scared and I look around a bit as I saw one of the knights with the nurse that took care of the kids and I hurry over and grabbed the man and he let go of the nurse and I stabbed him in the back as the nurse looked to me scared and I helped her up.
"Where are the kids?" I asked panicked.
"One of the men took them oh god I-I tried." She tries to say.
"Which way?" I asked as I pulled her away from the fighting one of the men tried to stop me, but I blocked the blow and fought them a bit before I stabbed them in the stomach and they groaned in pain as they fell to the ground and I pulled the blade out and there was screaming along with yelling, swords hitting shields and other swords.
"Fuck." I mutter as we all were able to get out and into another section of the castle and to a secret passageway.
"They took the kids in the direction of the Richmond kingdom, those had to… to be those knights." I hear the nurse explains and I get pissed as hell and I gripped my sword a bit at this.
"Fucking, fucker if he hurts them, I swear to fucking god." I muttered and I look to Clementine who looked in shock and worried, so I kept my mouth shut and looked to the front as we head out to my old home, and I think.
"Why the fuck would they take the kids?" Hayley asked and I look to her.
"He wouldn't hurt them, would he?" Ruby asked worried.
"No, I don't think he would." Clem says.
"He better not." Louis says pissed and I rubbed my face.
"That's it." I say and I start walking in the direction of Richmond Kingdom.
"Wait you can't go now." Aasim says and I am pissed.
"HE HAS OUR CHILDREN!" I yelled.
"I know I know but-."
"NO, NO BUT'S THAT FUKER TOOK OUR KIDS HE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OUT!" I yelled as I got angrier and angrier at all of this.
"I get it Violet, but this is what he want-."
"I KNOW BUT…. But those are our kids he… I don't want anything to happen to them for fuck sake." I say and look over to Clementine who walked into the house, and I groaned a bit as I think.
"Look we have to have a clear head when it comes to this." Louis says and I look him.
"You can't be serious."
"I am, you can't go there not knowing what the hell he might do to them or you or all three of you." He says.
"He won't hurt them; he knows he can't." I say panicked at this a bit.
"Vi, calm down." Hayley says and I look to her.
"No, I, I can't fucking calm down." I say pissed and I look to see Clementine walking out the house and she looked to me as she came up to all of us.
"Let's go." She says and I look to her as she walked away from us.
"Wait Clem-." Louis tried to stop her but when she looked to him, I saw anger in her eyes and even I was scared at this look.
"No, Violet is right, we should take him out, he took our kids, that is the last fucking straw." She says and I look to her.
"You two need to stop and think if he is willing to take the kids then we know he could do something bad to them." Aasim says and I look to him.
"Aasim I understand what you are saying but if he fucking hurts them then there will be hell, he fucking took our kids…. Our kids." Clementine says and I nod in agreement.
"I get it I really do but we need to be careful when it comes to Gabe." He says.
"No, we just… I can't they can't stay near him I don't care." I tell him.
"We aren't saying you have to we just need to think of a way to help them without them getting hurt, I don't want those kids to get hurt and being rash will get them hurt." Louis says to us and I look to him but Clementine and I had a different plan. We went to the side of the house, and I rubbed my neck as we think.
"Look I say we just head there and demand them back and if he doesn't, I'll kill him." I say to her.
"Violet, please think about it." I hear Louis say to me and I shake my head.
"I am for fuck sake what else are we supposed to do Louis?" I asked pissed off and I look at him.
"Look we go there and ask him-."
"Ask him to just hand over our kids? And if he doesn't what we ask again?" I asked him pissed.
"Look no that is not what I am saying at all." Louis says.
"I am going to get my kids I don't fucking care." I tell him and I start walking but I get pulled back and I turn to punch the person and it was Louis. He holds his face and I glare at him.
"Violet please listen to us we don't want anything to happen to you or the kids." He says worried.
"Keeping them with that fucker longer than what I would like is pissing me off and for fuck sake he might hurt them doesn't matter if he wants to look good to Clem he doesn't fucking care." I tell him and I begin walking and I see Clem run up to my side as the others argue and I look to see Hayley next to me.
"Look you two do need to think for a bit your friends are going to get a cart and horse so we can get there quicker I understand what you two are feeling but please to keep the kids safe you two need to be calm and collect when we get to Richmond." She tells us and I think.
"I just… I'm just angry right now so just… give me some time." I tell her and then I looked to Clementine as she nods, and we walk some more. It took a bit before Louis and the others finally found us with a cart and Horse and I helped Clementine in the cart, and I hop in and watch as Aasim drives the cart and I look to Hayley as she sat across from me. I then looked to Clem who places her head on my shoulder, and I rubbed her back a bit.
"It's going to be ok." Ruby says and I nod a bit at that.
"I know just… emotions are high and I just… we just…. I don't know." I say to her, and she nods at this.
"So now that we have all settled down, what are we going to do?" Duck asked and I think.
"Look… we ask him to show the kids, if he doesn't then I will challenge him to a fight while you all look around for them, hell look for Mariana too if you can." I explained to them.
"Ok I think we can all agree to that." Sarah says and I nod at this, and I sighed as I feel Clementine nod her head a bit. I tried to keep her calm and I try to keep myself calm as well. It took us a while to get to the Richmond kingdom and I grip my sword a bit as we get closer to the castle, but a few knights stopped us, and I get up and head to talk to them.
"By the order of King Gabe there are to be no visitors in Richmond castle." One of the knights says and I glare at them.
"And by the order of the King and Queen of Macon we have important business to talk to him about." I tell them.
"Doesn't matter the King is to not-."
"Sorry to interrupt but I think he would be willing to talk to us, if you inform, I'm that Clementine is here." Clem says and I look to her as the knights look to her.
"Oh uh, we shall go see." The one knight tells us as the other knight heads to the castle and I head back to the cart with Clementine, and we wait a bit on the knight to return. Just as they do I get up and so does Clementine as we head up to the knight and he looks to us.
"He says only Clementine and you are allowed in." The knight says and I look to her then back to the others, and then to the knight and I nod.
"Alright." I say and the knight takes us to the inside of the castle. It was a bit weird, and I look around for any type of danger, but I don't see any at the moment. I keep my guard up though as I look around some more as we are taken to the throne room, and we see Gabe sitting in the throne and I see that his arm is missing, and I see Mariana off on the side a bit.
"So… what brings you here after what you have done?" Gabe asked and I glare at him.
"Where are our kids?" I demanded and he looks to me and smirks.
"I have no idea what you are talking about."
"Liar, where are they?" Clem demands as well, and he looked to her then back to him.
"Oh, right the two brats, the girl just can't shut up can she?" He asked and I pull my sword from its sheath, and I glare at him and smirks at me. I hear something behind me and I turn quickly just as I get stabbed in the abdomen by a knight and I fall back a bit as Clementine grabbed me.
"GABE STOP THIS NOW!" Clementine yelled to him as I hold the wound and glare at the knight a bit then look to Gabe.
"WHY SHOULD I? SHE TOOK YOU FROM ME, YOUR OWN FATHER WANTED ME TO MARRY YOU OVER THIS BITCH!" Gabe yells and Clem places her hand over mine to keep pressure on the wound.
"SHE TOOK MY FUCKING ARM OFF, SHE IS A GOD DAMN MONSTER, SHE IS DEAD AND YOU STAY WITH THIS LYING DEAD BITCH!" He yelled as he got up from his spot on the throne and grabbed his sword and I grip mine getting ready to move Clementine away from me if I need to.
"YOU MARRIED A GOD DAMN CORPSE!" He yells as he walks up to us.
"SHE CAN'T GIVE YOU ANY KIDS, SHE CAN'T DO ANYTHING FOR YOU LIKE I CAN AND YOU FUCKING…. YOU MARRIED THIS FUCKING MONSTER!" He yelled and I back up a bit as he gets closer, and I pull clementine to me a bit.
"WE ARE HAVING A CHILD TOGETHER!" She yelled to him, and he stops and glares at both of us.
"Then you don't need those two brats." He says as if it was something simple and I get up a bit, but Clem holds me down a bit and he laughed at us.
"Come on now let's be honest here you two don't need those kids if you are having a child together. Or I can do you a favor and get rid of that beast." He says as he points his blade at Clementine's stomach, and I pull her back a bit and glare at him.
"Hahah it's humorous, you think you can be the supposed brave knight when you just got stabbed, you're weak." He says.
"Gabe we just want our kids back please." Clementine begged and I look as he raised his sword a bit so I shove her out of the way as he thrusts his sword at her but instead it hit me right in the chest and I feel my heart beating a bit as I coughed up some blood and he looked to me.
"Fucking… fucking hell." I mutter a bit at the pain.
"VIOLET!" I hear Clementine yell as I lift my own sword up.
