(Violet's Pov)
I lifted my sword up and as I was about to stab Gabe, he pushed his own sword deeper into my chest and I coughed up more blood as he laughed at the pain, I was in. I glared at him as he laughed more and looked to me then to Clementine as he spoke.
"See, she cannot keep you safe, she has already been defeated Clementine, this weak monster is nothing." He says and I move just a bit as he pushed the blade more into me forcing me to the floor as I gripped the blade itself.
"I wouldn't move unless you really want to die." He says and I keep still.
"Gabe stop this, she didn't ask for any of this, you are blaming her for someone else's own gain." Clem says as she tried to move but he glared at her.
"She didn't try to fix any of it." He says and as I try to speak, he pushes the blade more and I yelled in pain.
"She could have tried to kill herself, but she didn't instead she stays this way, she married you because she wanted power, see." He says and a woman comes out of the shadow, they looked like Minerva, but I knew it wasn't, it was Sophie. She uses the flames to show the same images Minerva once showed me, but they were different.
"She had evil intentions with you, she was going to kill you and the king of Macon so she could have all the power." He says and I look to him.
"I changed the fu- FUCK!" I yelled in pain, and he glared at me.
"YOU DIDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING, YOU ONLY DELAYED IT I KNOW YOU DID YOU MUERTO!" He yelled and looked to Clementine.
"SHE DOESN'T CARE FOR YOU AT ALL!" He yelled and I look to Clementine as she looked to me then back to him.
"Clementine you have to believe me I only wanted you to be safe and happy, I can still do that for you even now, I was with you when Lee called for the Witch to come and warn you, they told you to be careful of those close to you, you know as much as I do that this monster has only wanted to use yu, she was jealous that you got picked by Lee, that you became royalty and not her." He tells her, and I glared at him as I tried to breath, but I can feel blood filling my lungs as I coughed up more blood.
"No, Gabe you don't know what she's done for me." She says.
"She has manipulated you; you think she has done good, but she hasn't, she married you in secret, she has been talking with the Witch that turned her, she could have changed back but she decided not to, she doesn't spend any time with you." He says
"SHE HAS TO WORK TO KEEP THE PEOPLE HAPPY AS WELL GABE THAT IS WHAT US ROYALS HAVE TO DO WHEN WE HAVE POWER LIKE THAT, IT'S HER GOD DAMN JOB YOU IDIOT!" Clem yells at him.
"SHE STILL COULD MAKE TIME FOR YOU!"
"AND SHE HAS, IN PRIVATE WE DON'T NEED TO BE PUBLIC WITH OUR FEELINGS IF WE DON'T WANT TO!" Clementine yelled at him more.
"NOW REMOVE THE GOD DAMN SWORD AND GIVE US OUR CHILDREN BACK GABE, YOU ARE THE MONSTER HERE!" She yelled and I could see the rage in her eyes as I look to her. He looked to me and then back to her as he pushes the sword in my chest more, I could feel it exiting through my back and my hand was cut by the blade's movement.
"She is dead, she will die, and you will be mine." He says and I look at him as he quickly pulled the sword out and stabs me once again, I tried to block it but the blade went through my hand as well and I groaned a bit at the pain.
"STOP THIS GABE FOR FUCK SAKE I WILL NEVER BE YOURS!" She yelled and I see her grab her dagger as she ran up to us.
"DON'T!" I yelled as I moved as fast as I could, adrenalin running through me as I shoved Gabe back away from Clementine's attack and she stabbed me instead and I fall to the ground as I held the dagger with my free hand. I pulled the blade out as Clementine let go and I pull Gabe's sword out from my chest. Blood still pouring from my mouth and chest. It hurt, it hurt so God damn much, but I couldn't go down now, not now or here of all places.
"You… you're." Gabe tried to say and I look to Clem who was in shock and I look around.
"We came here peacefully to get our kids back… instead you attack me and try to kill me, trying to take Clementine away, you aren't even listening Gabe… you're in your own delusional world and this Witch is causing the problem." I say as I look to the girl.
"SHUT UP, I AM NOT CRAZY!" He yelled as he grabbed his own dagger, and I threw his sword to the side.
"I am not here to fight Gabe, I get it you are mad, you loved Clementine just like I do, and I would do anything to make her happy, but being with you will not make her happy, this Witch is using your emotions and it's making you mad." I say as I move away from Clementine, so she doesn't get hurt.
"Clementine was supposed to kill me, she is the only one that can kill me, I wanted to die Gabe, you think I haven't tried to reverse any of this? I have tried for so long and so hard, but Clementine is the reason I am still here, she loves me, and I love her." I say as we circle each other.
"No, she doesn't love you, you have tricked her into all of this." He says and I look to him.
"You aren't wrong Gabe, I have tricked her, but not in the way you think, I regret what I have done to her, and I know you will to if we keep going at each other's throats like this, we can all be friends, you and her can be friends again if you just stop this and give us Mary and AJ back… please Gabe." I begged as he came at me with his dagger, and I dodged him.
"LIAR!"
"IF I WAS A LIAR, WHY HAVEN'T I KILLED YOU, I COULD HAVE SO LONG AGO BEFORE ALL OF THIS BUT I DIDN'T!" I yell to him as I dodge his attacks more.
"You couldn't kill me, you never could, you are weak, you should be dead." He says as he was able to cut my shirt and I backed away as quickly as I could, and I held my arm a bit.
"Gabe listen to me-."
"ENOUGH TALKING!" He yelled as he came after me again and I dodged hit attack and I saw Clementine leave the room. She's going to find AJ and Mary, good.
"I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU AND YOUR BULLSHIT!" He yelled as I ran to my sword and blocked his blow and he looked to me as I shoved him back.
"I was teaching you how to fight fairly, I never wanted you to be our enemy, you killed your uncle because I was forced to keep a secret about what I am, you kidnapped Duck and Sarah because you were mad, I know you are mad, Gabe believe me when I tell you, I never wanted to be this way, I wanted to die with my men on the battlefield, I never wanted to be a Walker it's a fate worse than death, I had to listen to people treat me like I was some toy, I have delayed Clem and Lee's death because I didn't want to hurt anyone, for fuck sake I didn't even want to hurt you." I tell him as we clash our blades together and he looked at me.
"Lee and the others wanted me to eat you, they wanted to use the fact that I was a Walker to get rid of you, but I didn't I didn't listen to them because I hate what I am, they have no idea of what I have to go through." I say as we push back from each other, and he was able to grab his sword and I look to him.
"I hate being a Walker Gabe and I left Clementine so I could find a way to reverse what has happed to me but now I cannot after the mistake the Witch had made… I can barely sleep, I've been away from my children and Clem because I fear that I would hurt them, I never wanted anyone to get hurt." I say as we clash our swords together again.
"You are a fucking liar; you've hated me since day one." He says and I push him back a bit.
"Of course, you were competition for Clementine, anyone would think of others as competition." I say as we clashed our swords over and over again.
"I loved her first, you only loved her when she became the princess." He says pissed as he thrusted his sword at me, and I got hit in the side and I groan as he pulled his sword out and I held my side a bit and looked to him as I tried to catch my breath.
"I have loved her since we were in the orphanage, you idiot, I couldn't tell her, people can't accept two girls liking each other." I say pissed as I swung my sword at him, he blocked it and I took the opportunity to move my hand from his side and I punched him in the gut. As he fell forward, I kicked him in the head, and he falls back onto the ground, and I throw my sword to the side a bit as I go over him and I swing my fists in his face as he tried to block them with his one arm. I was seeing red at this moment. I was pissed.
"I have known her longer than you, I have been with her longer than you, she loves me, not you, now grow. The. Fuck. Up." I say as I punch him in the face, and he shoved me a bit, but I come back up and hit him in the head again and again.
"I could have killed you; I could have done what the others wanted and eaten you, but I didn't I was too kind to you, I was too soft against you because I thought you could redeem yourself, but you won't fucking listen to any of us." I say as I get up and so does, he and he glared at me as we try to catch our breaths and he spits some blood on the floor.
"Because you are all wrong, I know you all are." He says and I run up to him and punch him in the face. I then saw another arm come up to us and I backed away quickly to see Sophie looking at us. She then does something, and it gives Gabe another arm that looked metallic in a way.
"Heheh, you fight me when I have one arm, it proves you have no morals." He says as he comes and hits me with his new arm, and I felt a shock run through my entire body as if I was hit by lightning.
"AHHHH!" I scream in pain as he moves back, and I fall to my knees. I smell my flesh burn and I wanted to throw up, but I don't. I get up and look to him as he smirks at me.
"Magic hu? Seems a bit unfair don't you think." I muttered as I back away from his punches and I glare at him as he tried to hit me once more. I was able to grab his new arm but there was more of the shock, so I backed off as he laughed more at this.
"This is great, no one not even a walker would be able to hurt me with this new arm." He laughed and I think for a bit. I look at some movement in the corner of my eye as I see Clementine along with AJ and Mary with her as they hid behind one section of the door and I quickly run up to Gabe as I grabbed his regular arm, he then grabbed me with the metallic one as he sent more shocks to me, so I grab it as well and he looked to me as I looked back to the door.
"GO NOW!" I yelled to Clementine who ran with Mary next to her to the door.
"NO!" Gabe yells as he tried to use his new arm to stop them, but I held onto it tighter as they exited the doors.
"GO AFTER THEM!" Gabe yelled to his Knight, and I quickly let go of his arm and grabbed my sword as I went after the knight.
"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH THEM!" I yelled as I sliced the man in half. He froze in his spot as he collapsed to the floor, dead and I look to Gabe as he backs away a bit and grabbed his own sword. I walk up to him a bit and he moved his sword in front of him and I glared at him.
"You-Your eyes." He says and I smirked as I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. He grabbed me with his metallic hand, and I chuckled as the shocks went through my body and I pull him close to me.
"You think that was a smart move hu? Trying to make them go after my family, trying to hurt Clementine with your new magic? Do you honestly think that would make her want to go with you when you hurt her or our children?" I asked him as I lifted him up more choking him with his own shirt.
"To think you thought you were the best option for her when you can't even let her be happy, she wants to be with me, I've already told her about my mistakes in life and yet she still wants to be with me of her own free will…. I will never force her to do something she doesn't want to do, unlike you, you are a disgusting monster, a childlike man who thinks he does no wrong when he has, a man who is afraid to admit his own mistakes." I say as he takes his new hand and punches me in the face burning it. And I let him go with a drop and I glare at him as I hold my face a bit.
"You will not be leaving here alive." He says to me, and I glare at him.
"And what makes you so sure of that?" I asked as I moved my hand away and looked to see some skin on my hand and I look to him.
"Because she showed me that I would win." He says and I laughed at him then looked to Sophie.
"Did you tell him that the future can be changed?" I asked her but she didn't speak at all and I look to him.
"Not much of a talker, considering the fact that she is also dead, but more than I am." I tell him and he looked to Sophie then back to me and I walk over to her as he looked to us.
"This is Sophie, Minerva's dead sister, has been dead for a long time now, has she been in your dreams? Has she been telling you these things about how you will be the new king? Giving you motive to try and take Clementine for yourself?" I asked him and he kept quiet as I laughed more.
"Oh, this is too good to be true, you have gone crazy, you say you know everything then you should have known that she was dead, you should have known this Gabe." I taunt him a bit as I walk behind Sophie, and she turned to look at me and I see the red in her eyes and I chuckled.
"You were turned into a walker just like I was, against your will, you can't talk because you were rotting in the ground when they brought you back hu?" I asked and she nods a bit.
"I am going to take a guess that you were brought back by The New Frontier group hu?" I asked and she nods again, and I smirked as I whisper to her.
"I know how you can end it all, do you want to stay alive anymore?" I asked and she looked to Gabe then back to me and she shakes her head at me, and I grabbed my dagger from my side and look to Gabe.
"You made this poor girl suffer just like I have, you think you are any better?" I asked him.
"Don't you fucking dare." He says as he took a step near us, and I laughed as I placed the dagger to her back.
"You have made the girl suffer; you call me a monster, but she can't even speak… I'm just doing the right thing and putting her out of her misery." I tell him as I stab her in the back and cut a long slit down her back, blood pouring out of her and onto me as I push my hand through after taking the dagger out and ripping her heart out I whisper a short set of words that Gabe could not hear then crushing her heart in my own hand. She didn't scream or anything, she just dropped to the ground, dead and I come up to him as I throw her heart into the fire so no one could bring her back once again.
"You, you killed her." He says scared.
"I ended her suffering." I tell him.
"HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO KILL HER?" He yelled and I smirked at him.
"I don't think that would be wise of me to tell you how…. Now I honestly do not want to kill you… but if I have to then I must." I say as I run up to him and he used his metallic arm to block my dagger sending the shock through the blade itself knocking me back a few.
"Hmm, seems her magic has stayed with you… interesting." I say as I attack him once more and he comes at me as well. We fight for a good while and he seems to be getting tired as I place my blade to his chest and thrusted it forward impaling him as he grabbed my arm sending another set of shocks to me as I push the blade further and further till I was able to puncher his heart. He looked up to me as blood pour down his shirt and I looked to him as he gripped my shirt with his regular hand, the metallic one disappearing from his body and I slowly set him to the ground as he looked at me scared.
"May you find peace in the afterlife." I tell him as he closes his eyes and I look to Mariana who looked to me a bit frightened and I look to her brother as I pull my dagger out and I go and grab a log from the fire, not caring if I was burnt. I light both the bodies on fire, and I go over to her.
"You should come with me; we will let this place burn." I tell her and she nods as she follows me out of the castle as the fire starts to take over and I quickly take her to the side of the kingdom as many people rush to try and save the burning castle. I hurry to find Clem and the others as the knights leave them so they can go save the castle, I go over to them and Clem runs up to me worried as she went to touch my face, but she stopped herself and I look to Ruby and the others as we hurry into the cart and Minerva along with Aasim slap the reigns down making the horse run with the cart.
"Dear god what happened in there?" Ruby says as she grabbed her first aid kit and I look to her as she turns me head gently and puts some medicine on my face and I hissed a bit in pain, and I could hear it sizzling a bit and I back away a bit.
"Papa?" I hear and look to Mary as she comes up and hugs me and I hug her back.
"Hey, your papa is ok." I tell her.
"You got hurt, you're hurt." She says and I look to Clementine who was looking at me, she still looked worried as she comes over to me and takes a seat and I look to AJ who was asleep, and I sighed in relief as I wouldn't scare him with how I look. I look to Clementine as she looked to the right side of my body and then to my left as she checked the wounds and Ruby worked on me a bit. It hurt like hell, and I look to Minerva who was looking at me. I have to tell her once we get home.
"What happened, did he come at you with some fire?" Louis asked and I look to him.
"I uh… I don't feel-." I ended up passing out as I saw Ruby and Clem grab me. I had to have been out of it for a pretty long time since I woke up in our bed and I look around the room a bit to see no one. I get up from the bed and I feel the side of my face to feel a patch on my face. I shake my head a bit as I walk to the door and open it to see Clementine as she looked up to me and I look to see some medicine in her hands, and I smile at her a bit as she dropped the medicine and hugged me, and I hold her to me as I feel her tears hitting my shirt.
"Hey, hey it's ok, I'm ok." I tell her as she cried some more.
"You scared the hell out of me, your eyes were red and I just… you didn't wake up for a few days, it was just." She tries to say, and I hold her closer to me.
"I am ok." I tell her and I look to see some people coming down the hallway and she turns to look, and she pulls me in the room and closes the door. I take a seat on the bed and hold my head a bit and I look up to her.
"How's my face now?" I asked and she removed the bandages after she had grabbed the medicine from the floor. She looked to my face and sighed a bit, and I couldn't help but chuckle at it.
"Not good I guess?" I asked and she goes and grabbed a small mirror and I look to see that there was some redness on where the skin was growing back from the melting, it was going to turn into scars soon and it was on my bad eye's side and I look up to Clem as she looked to the side a bit and I move the mirror and she looked to me a bit and I smile at her a bit.
"It's fine…. Unless you don't like it." I say.
"No, it's just… you got hurt and I just ran." She says.
"You found the kids and took them to safety, that is what matters I do not care if I got hurt, as long as you all are safe that's all that matters." I tell her but she keeps quiet, and I sighed a bit as I make her look to me.
"Clementine, you and the kids are safe, Mariana is safe as well." I tell her and she looked to me.
"They couldn't control that fire in Richmond." She tells me and I look to her.
"The entire Kingdom burnt down." She says and I look down to the floor and I rubbed the good side of my face a bit and I keep quiet.
"I didn't want anyone to try and bring them back." I tell her and she looked to me.
"People died Violet." She says and I nod.
"I know." I tell her and I feel her put some medicine on my face and I look at her as she looked back to me after she finished patching me up. I looked to my arm and side a bit to see some patches of bandages and I lay back on the bed a bit.
"What did you mean by you didn't want them to be brought back?" Clem asked and I get up a bit.
"I need Minerva in here for that." I tell her and she nods as we both get up and walk to the war room and I see Lee and the others as they looked to me.
"Good to see you up Violet." Lee says and I just look to him and I see Minerva and I stand up a bit taller as I look to her.
"Minerva, you Clem and I need to talk…. Alone." I say and she nods as we all walk out, and I take her to the garden, and we sit at the table, and I look to her a bit.
"Sophie was there, and… I burnt her body." I tell her and she looked to me.
"You killed her?" She asked.
"She was suffering Minerva; she couldn't speak at all, and she wanted me to… I made sure to ask her." I tell her and she looked to me then to the table.
"I made sure she wouldn't come back." I told her and she nods.
"Was it… peaceful?" She asked and I nodded lying to her. Sophie might not have screamed or anything, but it must have been painful for her. We all keep quiet for a bit, and I clear my throat a bit and look to the flowers.
"We can set up a funeral for her if you want but… her body was in Richmond." I tell her.
"You started the fire, didn't you?" Minerva asked and I nod at this as she looked to me.
"Yes, I didn't want anyone to bring Gabe or Sophie back just to be safe…. It was better than what Lee and the others asked me to do before." I tell her.
"You mean when they wanted you to eat him?" Minerva asked and I nodded at this.
"Mariana was there too so… I didn't want to scare her as much as I already did." I explained and I look to her.
"I get it." I hear her say and I nod a bit at this.
"So, what do we do now?" Minerva asked and I think a bit.
"Only thing I can think of is just… I don't know, look more into The New Frontier more, I have to talk with Hayley some more before she heads back home, not much we can really do." I say and Clementine nods at this and I look to Minerva.
"Alright… I'll head out to The New Frontier and see if I can look for anything." Minerva says and I nod as she leaves, and I look to Clementine as she lays her head on my shoulder a bit.
"We can talk about all this later, right now you need to rest." She says and I nod as I let her lay her head on me some more.
