Note: My very first drabble (because apparently my attention span
has shortened yet again), and my first time to go into the Prison
Break fandom. Hurray for firsts! LOL, I don't even know when
this happens – before the escape, I guess?
"You're better off without me," he whispered.
"That's not true." A tear slid down her cheek. "You told me to wait for you, and I will."
He looked at her with relief, exasperation and – if she wasn't mistaken – love. "I didn't think you would, at that time."
"Yes, you did." She gave him a watery smile.
He smirked, and then kissed her long and hard.
She tried to memorize the feel of his lips on hers, and the intense love in his eyes. "Stay safe," she managed to say.
"I will. I have someone to come back to, after all."
