Note Percy can't exactly flash, he was blessed by Hestia, which allows him to use fire to teleport, just a little ability heh.
I gazed out towards the east. Somewhere out there was Camp Halfblood. I sighed, next stop, the place I vowed to never return. Camphalfblood. Hestia and Nyx had already proceeded to leave the flower field. However, the field was beyond peaceful. I took in the fresh and lively scent of the flowers, the soft wind blowing throughout the field. For once, the world seemed peaceful. It seemed like I had stepped out of the dark side of the moon and into the bright side, the side illuminated by the sun.
Unfortunately that all stopped when I heard the soft growl behind me, I whirled around and drew riptide simultaneously. I saw a singular hell hound in front of me.
"Of course you appear when I finally relax…" I grumbled.
I decided the best course of action was going on the offensive, I dashed towards the hell hound, seeing it raise its claws, I went to the right side. This allowed me to maneuver around its razor sharp claws, it also gave me the opportunity to slash riptide across its leg, unfortunately that didn't kill the vial beast. It howled in pain and looked at me with pure anger. Perfect, I thought, when something is as angry as this thing, surely it can't think straight. It's like when people see red, they can't think straight. This time the hell hound dashed forward with incredible speed, I tried to dive out of the way, however, I was a second too slow as I felt the hellhound plow into my back legs. Sending me sprawling across the flowery field. Riptide flew out of my grasp.
"Damn it man." I swore at, well, nothing in particular I realized. This beast was already injured, I just needed to finish it off. I learned a long time ago that if you only relied on a singular weapon, you end up nearly dying a lot. I drew a secondary sword, this one was created from imperial gold, given to me by Hestia, a gift to spoil her champion I suppose. I retook my defensive stance and waited, it was only a matter of time until the hell hound charged again, my guess was correct as the hellhound charged at me shortly after. This time I dove clear out of the way, landing behind the hellhound. I plunged the imperial gold directly into its rear end. That made the hellhound produce a long and painful howl, before finally collapsing into a pile of golden dust, which slowly dissipated in the wind. I put the imperial sword away, meanwhile I checked my pocket- and there was the faithful pen that always seemed to return to me no matter what. I smiled. That was my first fight in a while, and I enjoyed it.
"Time to get going…" I muttered to myself. I concentrated then went up in a burst of flames, I landed just outside the boundaries of camp, inside of the forest. I took in the familiar smell, look and feel of the forest. Reminiscing about all the time spent here and all the memories created, some good and some bad. I shrugged off the nostalgia and headed for the camp border. Once I arrived I noticed a few things first off. They had upgraded the lava wall, I must say I felt a little jealous about that. They had completely rebuilt since my little incident, and I could already assume who led that excursion. There were more cabins then I last remembered, so obviously more minor gods had gotten cabins at camp halfblood. I smiled at that last part, if anyone needed cabins at camp halfblood, it was the minor gods.
I changed my appearance so as to not be recognized. I couldn't afford to go through all that drama again. My hair color changed to a sandy blonde, my eye color changing to a light red. This should do, of course I couldn't just bring all these weapons in with me. I took all my weapons off of me, excluding riptide, and I thought about Hestia palace. Then the weapons went up in a flash of fire, before they disappeared. Perfect, I was ready to go. I entered camp Halfblood, and people looked at me like, who's this guy?
I walked up to the big house and knocked on the door. I had to act like a new camper. The door opened and there stood my old mentor, Chiron.
"Uhm, I don't recognize you, what is your name?" He asked me. Oh crap, I thought, what is my name? I looked at him for a few seconds before responding.
"My name is Alphonse." I told him with confidence. Not the arrogant type, but the confidence in your answer, the way you would tell someone your own name. He nodded and then proceeded to say, "Well, Alphonse, welcome to Camp Half blood, I assume you haven't been claimed?"
I looked at him before asking, "Claimed?"
He sighed, "Then no, you have not, one of your parents is one of the many gods from the ancient Greek world…" He proceeded to explain all the details of the ancient Greek Gods, from how many were on the council, to how many minor gods there were. To their powers, and so on. When he finally finished he looked at me.
Then he said, "Do you understand, child?" I nodded my head. "Very well, let me take you on a camp tour."
After the excruciatingly long tour we ended up at the Hermes cabin.
"This is where you will stay until you get claimed. That could be a while, but do not stress about it, it shall happen when it happens. When the time is right." I internally rolled my eyes, but to Chiron I just nodded my understanding. Once again, I stepped inside of the Hermes cabin, the last time I had, it had been jam packed. Now, it was free, with actual room.
"Attention Hermes cabin, this is Alphonse, he will be staying with you until he gets claimed, is that clear?" A muttered yes arose from around the cabin. With that he left the cabin, and everyone started staring at me.
"Hey." Is all I said. That single word broke the tension. I started hearing, 'welcome mate' and 'protect your belongings!' I smiled, after all this time hating the place I currently stand, I guess I missed it pretty bad as well. My first night, I slept on an actual bed inside of the Hermes cabin. I didn't have a single nightmare nor dream. I slept like a log. I awoke to the sound of the conch horn blowing, breakfast. I walked to the pavilion, and sat down, wishing for chocolate chip pancakes, with milk on the side. I didn't get up to sacrifice any of my food to the gods, which earned me some strange looks from other people around the table. But I suppose I could play it off as being new to the whole idea of 'The gods'.
I started my training regime, first, archery. After all my time alone, I had quite a bit of time to practice. I was considered proficient by Chiron, who was impressed. Swordplay was extraordinarily easy for me, I was again considered proficient as I placed at the top of the class. Water sports were not a problem for me as I breezed through those. I laughed internally when I saw Chirons confused face. He was probably having the time of his life trying to figure out who was my godly parent. Finally as the sun was setting we went to the pavilion. There we had dinner and I went up to sacrifice food for the gods. In reality I only sacrificed food for Hestia. That's when the gasping started. I looked up and saw the symbol of Hestia blooming above my head.
Chiron stared in shock, then he said, "All hail Alphonse son of Hestia, eldest of Cronus, goddess of the hearth." After the revelation that took place in the pavilion of the first claimed child of Hestia, the gods were most likely in turmoil trying to figure out what was going on. The rest of camp kept eating dinner. I just went to Hestia's cabin and went to bed. Concluding my first day back at Camp Halfblood.
Boom, that's a wrap, feels good to be back, sorry if there are any spelling errors, stayed up until 4 am last night, quite tired.
