Chapter one.

Introduction.

The wind was howling. Blowing around the magical barriers that shielded the helpless demigods from its onslaught. The clouds were dark. Pitch black. Some would even say darker than the robes of Nyx. Each cabin in camp Halfblood lay destroyed wrought with ruin. Smoke was rising from the destroyed cabins. A Lone camper walks along the beach, when she notices something peculiar lying in the sand. She picked up a soft velvet case and a paper envelope. Opening the velvet case she discovered a ring, this ring had an inscription saying, "Wise Girl" .

Percys POV

I paced up and down my cabin, wall to wall. It's the type of nervous pacing one receives when it's their first time stepping out of the comfort zone to try something completely and utterly new to them. Sure I silently reasoned, Annabeth and I had been together for the last five years. He was now 20, almost 21. I felt content, almost that is. I just needed someone else in my life. A lover to be exact. My beautifully amazing girlfriend Annabeth Chase, I sighed as he thought about her. She was perfect, her eyes.. her hair... they way she dresse- a pounding at the door quickly shook me from my thoughts.

"Who is it?" I called out to the unidentified person.

"It's the one and only Seeweed brain" Annabeth called back. I swear I can recognize her voice from anywhere.

"Coming, give me a second!" I shouted back towards the door, I reached under my bed and found the tiny velvet cased box, along with this tiny box I grabbed a letter that I had written the previous day. I quickly pocketed the tiny object and letter and then proceeded outside towards the door. When I finally stepped outside the air was cool and crisp, the warmish days of autumn were slowly wearing off, as the fall turned into winter.

"Percy are you ready to go?" Annabeth said with little to no emotional in her tone. Strange I thought, but maybe something had happened In the Athena cabin, just because you're siblings doesn't mean you necessarily get along all the time.

Yes I am ready to go Wise Girl" I replied. They walked together hand in hand, down to the beach. Neither talking to each other but both thinking about personal thoughts. Finally after 30 minutes of silence, they reached the end of the beach and the edge of camps magical borders. They both stared off into the sparkling blue ocean, beautiful, especially since the sun was setting in the background.

"I think we need to talk" Annabeth said suddenly, breaking the painfully long silence. Hearing those words normally is never good, especially for a relationship.

"Sure what's on your mind" I replied.

"I think we should break up Percy, I've been meeting with this other guy" Annabeth said so quickly and sudden. It was a smack to the face, as fast as it was said I heard every single word, and each was like a dagger piercing my heart. There is only so much a person can take before he breaks. Percy had been bottling his emotions, sadness, anger and so on inside a glass jar; which he filled again and again with new emotions pain. Keeping them hiding from the prying eyes of the world. But this was the tipping point, this time he slammed the glass jar too hard; it shattered, leaving all the emotions of the past to come flying out. And a human being can only deal with so much loss so much pain at once... before he snaps. Percy Jackson snapped.

No pov.

The sky suddenly went dark, very quickly too. Nyx the primordial of darkness would've been jealous due to its dark hue. The winds picked up dramatically, not even the camps borders could keep it out, a hurricane was forming around Percy. As the Campers ran from the furious demigod, they watched their camp- their home get destroyed by one they called a hero, and some a friend. Percy Jackson was no longer the man he use to be, out with the fun loving demigod, in with the battle-hardened warrior.

Percy's Pov.

My vision went red due to my anger as I thought about Annabeth's words. How dare she after all we have been through together. When I finally clamed down I turned to look towards Camp- or what was left of it. My only thought was 'I did that?' I turned towards the Campers, their glares of anger and disgust. The pure sadness in their eyes seeing the only place they could call home, be destroyed right in front of their eyes... by me. I knew I was no longer welcome, I would never be welcome again. So I ran. I sprinted into the woods, the only items I had with me were, my trusty sword Riptide and the shield Tyson made me. I started walking into the unknown.

After traveling for the entire day I finally stopped. My feet were sore, my body was tired from the amount of energy it took me to summon the hurricane. I sat down on the nearest log wondering what on earth I was going to do next. At some point I must have dozed off because I woke up at the clap of thunder. 'Hmph' I thought, 'Why does Zeus Allows have to bother me' As I pondered this statement, it came across my mind, The gods were to be furious with me. After all I did destroy all of camp, I wasn't even sure if the magically borders still worked, the rain I created did get through it after all. I decided to take a look around me, I was in a beautiful secluded part of the forest. The grass wasn't too long, there was brush around giving me privacy, a river flowed through the middle of the clearing, and after awhile of looking I found a cave. This cave wasn't damp nor was it particularly dirty, strange I thought. However, it would provide me with a place to sleep, eat, and maybe after a little remolding a decent place to bathe.

I started gathering sticks, not the tiny ones, but the big ones, I ended up making a shack, if you would dare to call it that. I started a fire on, right outside of course I took care to keep it away from any wood. I then got quite a bit of grass, I then used this as my bedding. After this I decided to stop for the night, as I was walking inside I sensed the aura of a god. I drew Riptide and slowly advanced inside... and what I saw shocked me... to say the least.

Hahaha I'm evil, that's right This is the end of my first chapter. I'm leaving you on a cliff hanger. What can I say I'm a mean person; please review and leave constructive criticism. -Nyx.
