Time 3

An Invitation

(proposal time)

AN: Yeah, ok, originally I had sculpted these one-shots after writing Maripsoa but then I was working on Next Ten Minutes when I finally sat down to fill in the blanks. So the first time was more tinted with that Sebastian. I don't regret that, I think that fits because it didn't have to be only in the Mariposa world, was just loosely inspired by it to write these different moments Sebastian could have slipped in between the cracks in Klaine's relationship. I had originally different plans for that time but I obviously hadn't liked my fleeting thoughts enough because I hadn't actually sat down and wrote the half-formed ideas. Only when writing Next had it come to fruition. I did write 2 before 1 and that Sebastian was a hurt and angry one when he ran into Kurt, thinking he'd lost all opportunity with him and then thinking Kurt was a cheater... totally blowing Sebastian's perception of who he was half in love with but knowing he could never have.

Meanwhile, this one was written after 4 actually, lol.

BURT

Kurt shifted from foot to foot and repeated it numerous times. He and his dad had stopped and talked about what was going to happen at length but it still hadn't prepared him for what he would be faced with when those doors opened.

"We can go to the airport, son." Burt reminded him gently. "Avoid all this. It's not your style and he should know that. Timing is terrible too."

Kurt nodded as he worried at his lower lip. He had to face this head on though, he knew it was coming now. Knowing Blaine, he's just ambush him at an even worse time when he was least expecting it. "I don't know what to do." Kurt whispered.

"You'll figure it out, you always do." Burt squeezed his shoulder. "Even if that means not putting yourself in that situation to begin with." The suitcases were in the truck, his ticket in his carry on. His flight was in 4 hours, it took an hour to get to the airport.

He was incredibly tempted to follow his dad's advice. He didn't want to go in. He nearly turned to dad and told him to take him to the airport when the doors opened and people started spilling out into the front staircase, someone had seen them out there. He wished he wasn't wearing something so bright and flashy for the first time in his life. They could spot him too easily in this outfit.

It was now too late to run and pretend that he told his dad he didn't want to stop anywhere. Let them both off the hook with Kurt's ignorance and stubborn nature.

Jeff, Nick, Wes and David spilled out onto the steps in greeting and as the door open in typical Dalton fashion, they were already singing, already pulling the listener in. Their hands guided Kurt in and Burt followed behind a few steps away, watching his son with concern.

He didn't stop the proposal from happening, his son deserved the opportunity to make a decision and to be asked. Still, he was uneasy with how this was done and if his son would feel pressured into saying yes rather than actually meaning it.

They had broken up for a reason, whether or not that reason was the stress of a long distance relationship was yet to be seen. It didn't make any sense to jump right into marriage to solidify their connection to each other. Blaine was moving out there in a few months and they needed a chance to see if their relationship could stand the strain of both coming back together after time apart and spending so much time together, on their own as adults in a new city, newer for one than the other. Though to be fair, Blaine was loaded and probably spent a lot of time in New York even before meeting Kurt. So it might be as familiar to both in the end. Blaine's 'working in an amusement park' was the one just outside New York City and he spent his free time in New York proper.

Kurt's head spun as he walked by a particular boy and Burt caught the look of confusion crossing Kurt's face at the smiling boy. Then he was pulled further up the stairs, more Dalton boys and a good portion of the McKinley kids were there. A few sat it out in protest or were just no longer in town. Quinn, Matt, Finn, Puck, and Mercedes were nowhere to be seen. Rachel was standing at the top of the staircase, beaming and singing the loudest with Brittany on one side and some kids from that other school and a few of the Dalton boys next to her. Trying to state with her location that she was the glue between schools, which was false since it had been a collective effort to forge these bonds, starting with Kurt's actions a couple of years ago.

Artie was on the main level with a tough looking Dalton boy next to him. Mike, Tina were lost in the crowd but Burt noted their presence along with Sam's.

Santana walked down the stairs, steps behind Blaine, refusing to be anywhere but up close to the action. She was going to bare witness and didn't want to miss a moment of the drama. Rachel had a prime bird's eye view but she was stating her standing, Santana wanted to be up close and personal, be the judge of the situation and determine the outcome for the crowd.

Blaine stopped on the lower platform next to Kurt and got down onto a knee, finishing the song by himself in a solo. The song had been chosen because of Kurt's fondness for Beatles, no one could out sing him on these tracks and because there were still a lot of questions between them. All the doubts and uncertainties and questions about their future were supposed to be washed away because of Blaine singing the familiar refrain – all you need is love. No matter what things Kurt brought up, Blaine would beat it back with reminding him that they were in love.

Would Blaine remember that when he started having his own questions or doubts?

Would he even have them now that he was so certain that he was in love with Kurt and that was never going to change, even if it did? Would it just be an automatic response regardless of what either of them actually felt but so used to saying it that they'd ignore the rest of it?

Burt had told Kurt that he had barely known Kurt's mom when they got married but he had known her enough and had known himself to know they weren't forging a path somewhere new, they were staying just where they were, what they knew. That they weren't going to have the same challenges with the additional stresses. That they had similar life goals and even though it hadn't been a lot of time, he knew her. He definitely didn't tell Kurt his mom was pregnant before they got married. They would have gotten married anyway, they were that sure of each other, but they hadn't planned on doing so that young. It worked out the best it could with everything else that had happened, and Burt wouldn't have deprived his son on knowing his mother as well as he had for a couple more years of growing up himself before they wed. Having his son and having and losing a wife aged him a lot faster than if he'd waited to marry her.

Perhaps they wouldn't have married if they'd gotten used to life on their own. Before they got married, neither had lived alone, always had at least a roommate or family members in the house. Burt still had never lived alone and with the way things were going, Kurt would never live alone either.

Sheer panic covered Kurt's face as Blaine flipped the lid and revealed a ring and was saying words about love and forever and his face kept loosing whatever color he had and was being replaced with a green tinge.

The boy that had surprised Kurt early came in and hip-checked Blaine. Knocking him over and onto the ground before swinging Kurt up over his shoulder and then running down the remaining two steps. Then running out the door that was still open and all the Warblers still standing there, watching on in shock.

Someone started to move as Blaine called out for them to stop. Shock clear in his voice and a little bit of anger as his spotlight moment was ruined. Maybe that was unfair, Burt thought chuckling to himself without letting it make a sound anyone else could hear. Maybe Blaine was upset that his proposal was ruined and someone was running out of the building with Kurt. Burt was partial to some of the less popular traditions surrounding marriage, including the groom abducting the bride before the wedding. These two weren't together, they weren't at a wedding, but for some reason Burt approved.

Maybe it was because he knew this strange boy had seen what he had, the fact that Kurt looked absolutely sick with having to make a decision then and there like that. Something that Blaine who'd been with him for more than 2 years and having known him at least 3, couldn't see.

The sentiment was echoed by a few of the boys on the front steps as they cheered and Santana cackled in overwrought glee. Some of the boys tried to stop the two of them but the boy holding Kurt was too fast and agile and avoided them all easily. There were out of there with a flash and Burt couldn't stop the smile from crossing his lips. He pulled his shoulders back and forced the smile from his mouth and turned to Blaine, trying to appear compassionate and patted him on the shoulder. Then he left, knowing he probably needed to check his phone and figure out where Kurt was now, he still had a plane to catch.

KURT

The humiliation Kurt had gone through hadn't accomplished anything because he hadn't given Blaine an answer and that meant he'd try again. Kurt would have to live through that twice. He'd done the big band thing to let Blaine know that he was ok with trying a relationship again and Blaine had jumped into his song, another Beatles one. Then he'd tortured Kurt with another one a couple of days later just before leaving.

Kurt hated big band songs, it was hard to sing or hear over the instruments and to be the center of that made it even worse. He'd had fun with Alicia Key's song trying to get members but that had been a boombox and 90s swag and was a spread out hit, not big band.

Then he'd been swung up over Sebastian's shoulder and every bounce poking that bony shoulder into his solar plexus. He couldn't even yell at Sebastian to stop, he couldn't get the breath out and every time he was able to suck it in to say something, the bounce and shoulder would knock it right back out again.

He was dumped into an open topped convertible's backseat and Sebastian jumped over the doors to slide effortlessly into the driver's seat. The car was already running and he realized it must have been remote started earlier or left running but wouldn't go anywhere without the owner of the keys at the helm. Sebastian tore out of the parking lot and was on the highway while Kurt struggled to righten himself and sit up in the back rather than the ridiculous position he'd found himself in.

Kurt was still so small that he could easily fit in the back seat with a little bit of adjustment in angle for his legs to have enough room without being squashed. For the first time in his life other than when it came to his hanger-like frame was he happy for his size. If he'd been bigger he wouldn't have been able to pull himself as easily into a sitting position especially moving at this speed. However, had he been bigger, Sebastian wouldn't have been able to manhandle him so easily.

"Sebastian, stop." Kurt said once he got his breath and voice back but his words were ripped away but the open top and the air whipping by. "Sebastian!" He tried louder but Sebastian didn't hear him, he'd thrown his shades on and cranked up the music. There was no way Sebastian would hear him over the other sounds. He could easily see Kurt sitting upright now through the rearview mirror but he was ignoring that fact.

Kurt took a second to think about whether he was actually angry with this course of events. He found he was annoyed that he couldn't nip things in the bud with Blaine and would have to talk to him again before Blaine could make another spectacle but mostly he was relieved.

He was relieved he didn't have to answer in front of so many onlookers. He was relieved that he hadn't been forced into a yes and had to endure Blaine's joy over a future wedding Kurt was no longer sure would ever happen. A year ago and Kurt would been chatting about it right along with him. The ring had been gorgeous and his style but it hadn't seemed right anymore.

Kurt was a little peeved at how he'd made his exit, but he hadn't any control over it. Somehow Sebastian had seen that he was either going to throw up or faint and had taken control of the situation. "Sebastian!" Kurt tried again now that he was calmer. Still nothing and he made a motion to stop and pull over but Sebastian ignored him, eyes forward on the road.

Kurt touched his shoulder, the same one he'd been riding on out the door and Sebastian didn't betray he could even feel him. They had to be 30 miles out of town by now. He shook Sebastian's arm and pulled on it a little too hard as Sebastian continued to ignore him. Sebastian pulled off and down the side road for a little ways before pulling off and spinning on Kurt. "You can't just grab my arm like that! At the speed we were going we could have gone into the ditch and with our top down, it would have done more than spun, but we would have rolled-" He was starting a tirade, something Kurt had heard from him before, maybe not these words but knew he'd continue on until he was done with all his reasoning to be mad about Kurt's actions. Even though it was Kurt who should have been ranting.

Kurt was too happy to be free of the oppressing cloud that had been tightening around him since he stepped foot in Dalton again. That was Blaine's safe space, Blaine's love affair, Kurt had just hidden in there for awhile. Kurt's safe space had always been McKinley's choir room, his love affair.

So with little regard to what would happen next, Kurt broke Sebastian's tirade by throwing his arms around Sebastian's neck and head and kissed him. "Thank you!" Kurt said against the kiss as he kissed him again.

Sebastian had frozen in his seat and for a moment Kurt thought that Sebastian was just going to ignore him again like he had been. Instead he reached for his seatbelt and unlatched it and followed Kurt's mouth and body as he pushed him back into the backseat and crawled in there with him. This was definitely not enough space for both of them. Kurt also hadn't been expecting to find himself back parallel to the seat and this time with the bigger male body hovering over his. Or for the innocent kiss to have dived so deep so suddenly and unsure who had changed it's intention.

Kurt suddenly found his hand unzipping Sebastian's pants and the button was already undone. So he definitely wasn't innocent in this change of situation. Sebastian brought Kurt's chin back up and his mouth covered Kurt's again, deepening the kiss even further and Kurt moaned into it, in hunger and pleasure.

He freed Sebastian completely and his hand slid along the smooth warm length as it curled around him and his knuckles brushed rough wiry hair and his eyes closed at the sensation. It was Sebastian's moan that he heard that time, deep and guttural, almost animalistic in nature. His hips moved with a sharp jerk further into his hand and they both made sounds to echo how they were feeling. Sebastian's hands reached between them, releasing Kurt from his pants and underwear. Then his hands cupped not around just Kurt, but Kurt's hand holding him too. He applied pressure against both of them and Kurt couldn't help his hips from what they did next, pressing up against Sebastian's belly and along his hands.

Sebastian slowed the pace a little but neither of them surfaced enough from this dense fog of lust to question either on why they were doing this. If it was ok to be doing this. He slowed them down but whipped them up higher at the same time and within what seemed like no time but forever at the same time as release seemed tortuously far away, first Kurt found release, then Sebastian. Both were still hard but without the urgent need to reach that goal. They could both stand to come again and Sebastian worked them over until they were only sort of hard. Then Sebastian pushed away from Kurt to stare at him in shock.

"What the hell just happened?" Sebastian asked, pulling himself back together.

Kurt was slowly coming out of it too. "Sex." He was impressed with himself. This was not a situation that he'd expected to find himself in, ever, especially not with Sebastian Smythe, but here they were. "Don't think too hard about it. You're used to sleeping with people without even knowing their names and never seeing them again. We just both needed a release of stress. Think of me as one of those nameless."

Sebastian sat back from him as Kurt pulled himself to the other corner of the backseat. Their knees were still brushing, there was no hope that they wouldn't still be touching in that tight space.

Sebastian eyed him and watched unashamedly as Kurt handled himself while putting himself back together. His suit was probably ruined but thankfully he had more clothes with him... in the back of his dad's truck. He paled, his dad would have to witness him changing because of what he'd just done with Sebastian.

"I don't want to think of you as one of the nameless." Sebastian sneered. "I know your name and I know what we just did. While you have a boyfriend too."

"Exactly we did and the boyfriend you've always wanted for your own. You do realize he was single for nearly 6 months, why didn't you swoop in on him then and there?"

"I- what?" Sebastian eyed him in confusion. "You were single for six months?"

"No, Blaine was single for 6 months. We'd broken up about 3 weeks after I moved to New York and didn't get back together until 2 days ago."

"New York proved to be too tempting of a playground with all those hot gay guys?" Kurt noted he didn't say single because in Sebastian's world, dating status didn't mean anything. Except apparently when it came to Kurt's. Then he wanted to lord it over Kurt and drag his name through mud.

"No, apparently Ohio did. Although I never did find out how hot he was, I'm guessing either very or only in body considering the user profile picture was just a lighthouse. I mean you had to know what you were getting into when you clicked into his DMs, right?"

"Ah." Sebastian's look of horror disappeared from his face. "I'm just revenge sex."

It was Kurt's turn to look at him in horror. "Are you serious? You just kidnapped me from my proposal and got on top of me. I wasn't planning this in any way, shape or form."

"No, I suppose not. You seemed very surprised to see me altogether today."

"I thought you hated me too much to bother showing up."

"It was good for the school to open it up to you two. We can spin it in a lot of ways. The ones who'd been hurt the most getting engaged in our school. Two former Warblers returning to where they first met to make their relationship official, all grievances forgiven. That sort of thing."

"So kidnapping me before I could answer Blaine's question is going to be spun- how? How does that improve the reputation of your school? I don't think saying that I was spirited away by the former lead Warbler and one of the biggest perpetrators in misdeed against McKinley to have sex with me in the back of your car is going to go over well."

"No, but saying that I rescued you from an unfortunate proposal, totally out of line with your wishes might look good. Then we can say we figured out we've been holding onto our feelings for the other for too long and confessed all to each other before making sweet sweet, gag, sorry, don't think I can even finish that sentence."

"And you were doing so well." Kurt shook his head and patted Sebastian's knee. Seeing Sebastian's eyes flare in desire had him pulling his hand back. "We can't."

"We did already and it was good." Sebastian purred. "Think of all the other positions and things we can try to see if it's just as good or better." He wiggled his brows.

"You are sex obsessed."

"And you're a prude. I'll accept it, getting you out of those pants again will be a fun challenge."

"Is this really why you brought me out here?" Kurt tried to pull away, Sebastian was turning him on and he had to keep a clear head this time.

"You kissed me, remember?"

"Yeah, but I didn't have this planned and I don't know if you weren't just going to do so to me once you got me to some secret location."

Sebastian threw his head back and laughed. "Kissing you was not high on my agenda."

"But it was on your agenda?" Kurt quipped and Sebastian didn't say anything or laugh again and Kurt raised a disbelieving brow. "Seriously? But you like Blaine."

"I had my sights set on Blaine because of what he represented. I never liked him or really wanted him. I just liked playing with him, see if I couldn't get him to bend, couldn't get him to come to me. He never even turned me on, he was just a game I was playing."

"Games are all well and good and fun until someone gets hurt, you'd said." Kurt recalled the apology. "You were talking about Blaine." He hadn't understood the words then, he'd thought it was a different sort of game Sebastian was talking about, still about trying to get Blaine, but not like he was now understanding. "I turned you on?" Kurt wondered out loud.

"Yeah, oh yeah and it made me mad because it was distracting me from my goal. It's why I tried to slushy you, between the anger and thinking if I hurt you just enough you'd stay out of my way for long enough for me to achieve my goal, to stop being around to distract me from it."

"Hurt me... just enough?" It was the first time Sebastian had admitted he'd intended harm with the slushy.

"I thought you'd get some 1st degree burns, nothing serious and things that would heal quickly without leaving any lingering damage. Nothing worse than an chemical peel at a salon. I didn't think about the eyes or if it got into your nose and throat and lungs. I should have and decided against it. I was a bit crazed at the time, you were potent and I had a hard time wanting to do anything but strip you out of your clothes. I thought I had gotten over that when I saw the damage in my wake. Apparently not, you still strip me of all sanity and lack of brain function. I blame that on the lack of oxygen and blood going to that particular brain."

"Yeah, tell me about it." Kurt pinked a little as the words slipped out. "I mean if either of us had been thinking with a cool and rational head, I don't think we would have fought quite as hard against each other. We rallied into fight mode more and more, whipping each other up into a frenzy of hate."

"Ended up being a disguise for what it really was, a frenzy of lust. I think I antagonized you just so I could see you more. If I got you hot under the collar and really steamed, then you'd find an excuse to see me and declare the next battle of the war."

"How are you so sure we don't hate each other and this wasn't just hate sex?"

"There's really no such thing as hate sex. There's rape but that's not what this was and that's not hate sex either, not really. That's control and power and domineering, there's really no pleasure there for either party except what's in the mind because of what the body can do against someone else. No, hate sex as you're describing is just two people feeling too much desire and lust and maybe other things if it was a relationship at some point and angry aggressive sex is the only thing that can over come those walls."

"How do you know?" Kurt asked again.

"Because now that we've had sex and I'm calmer and thinking about all this with a more level head I can see it for what it is. We want each other and had just been denying our bodies until now. We can call it quits now and go on with our lives. Do you want to go back to Dalton now and tell Blaine to shove himself up himself?"

"What? No." Kurt shook his head. "I still care for Blaine, and he doesn't deserve that kind of language or imagery."

"Why not?" Sebastian looked over Kurt and his bemused and rumpled form, something no one ever saw Kurt like, not really. "Why still care for the guy and bother with what he thinks or feels?"

"Because unlike you, I actually have a heart, scarecrow."

"Oooh, good one!" Sebastian mocked, he ignored his cock's excitement and flicker of interest in going again with Kurt.

"I know relationships mean nothing to you and relationship status are just that, a status symbol, but to me, that stuff matters. Blaine broke my heart then did it again by getting into my head and heart with my current boyfriend but he deserves better. He's been good to me and you're right, the answer is going to be no but I have to tell him in a way that's kinder than you're suggesting. We are still friends and I want to be able to maintain that going forward."

"You really think you can be friends with someone you slept with?" Sebastian raised both brows ignoring what Kurt said.

"I was managing it for awhile, I want to try at least." Kurt reached in his pocket for his phone and saw that he'd missed 2 calls and that it had been a half hour since they'd left the school. "Woah." He and Sebastian had been doing more than drive for longer than he'd thought. No wonder it had felt like forever, Blaine usually came in less than 5 minutes and then would either work Kurt harder to come or would let Kurt finish up himself. The release sometimes just didn't seem worth the uncomfortable friction when Blaine was getting irritated that he couldn't get Kurt off quickly.

Sebastian definitely didn't seem to mind how long it took for Kurt to come, and hadn't come until after Kurt had. They hadn't even needed lube or any other stimulants other than their hands and kisses.

SEBASTIAN

Sebastian was eying Kurt as he called his dad back and tried to give a rough estimate of where he was. He mapped it and sent his pin to his dad. Kurt had gotten out of the car for that call, standing up and trying to get service. He also talked to his dad in low tones, trying to keep Sebastian from overhearing his embarrassed rendition of a paired down story for his dad.

The pink neck and cheeks gave him away though and Sebastian didn't need to hear Kurt to know what he was trying to avoid talking about. Sebastian jumped our of the car and stepped up behind Kurt as the other male was finishing with his conversation and hanging up. He caught him as he slid the phone into his jacket pocket. His arms wrapped around Kurt's and he pressed kisses to Kurt's neck and the sensitive spot behind his ear.

"Ok, so the relationship with Blaine is over. Friendship zone all the way from now on with him, is that it? Well good, because he's rubbish in all the important ways."

"See, I knew it! You've slept with him."

"I haven't, but one can tell he'd be selfish in bed and a real prick out of it. His ego having to make up for his size, stamina and skill." Sebastian slid his hands over Kurt's chest, one going lower to investigate what he'd already held in his hand, see if it was back to standing attention like Sebastian, and the other running his thumb over Kurt's nipple, going between the jacket and the shirt underneath. There was still another layer there but Sebastian paid it no mind. Kurt was as ready as Sebastian was, that was good. "Recovery time is fabulous too." He murmured as he nipped at the skin along Kurt's neck. "So I thought I was no longer going to be interested in you once I got you. That's proving to be very false. For you too." Sebastian's hand cupped Kurt expertly and Kurt jerked into his palm and then back into Sebastian and how much he wanted Kurt on full display. That ass pressed up against him for blissful seconds.

"What are you thinking?" Kurt asked and the tone didn't sound promising, more like Sebastian was nuts than wanting his suggestion.

"I think that I'm coming up to New York in the fall and we burn out this ridiculous desire for each other and then never see or talk to each other again." Sebastian pressed lightly against Kurt from the front which moved Kurt's hips back in instinctual response and Sebastian moved his hips forward into Kurt at the same time. Kurt was left with not knowing which way to move, forward into the hand or backward into Sebastian's member. So Sebastian took the choice out of Kurt's hands and kept them purely in his own. He moved his hips forward while pressing against Kurt's front until all Kurt could do was feel Sebastian on all sides of him. Kurt's head fell back onto Sebastian's shoulder and let out a long rumbling sound when Sebastian's hand started rubbing him while rubbing his hips against Kurt's backside. He slumped even more onto Sebastian as he came hard.

"You know what?" Sebastian asked as Kurt still existed between him and his hand, rubbing himself against Kurt until his own satisfaction was at hand and he could barely hold them both up anymore. "I don't know why I have to wait for the fall. You already live there, you'll be there even later today. Maybe I should move up my timetable for this week. Let's get it all out of our system before school even starts."

"I haven't said yes." Kurt said with a voice that couldn't make it above a whisper.

Sebastian chuckled and patted the quickly drying wet spot on the front part of Kurt's pants. "Yes you have, just with your body and not with your words." Once that was out there though, Sebastian realized how it sounded. "Ok, maybe you better say it with your words too."

"I agree."

Great, but now that left Sebastian with a whole new ball of unease and he wasn't sure why.

Things didn't start out great. The first time Sebastian swung around to pick Kurt up to take him back to his apartment Kurt had red puffy eyes. It had been more convenient for Sebastian just to pick Kurt up rather than have him take the subway to Sebastian. On a good day it was a 2 hour wait for Kurt to show up. Picking Kurt up instead meant that it was only 20 minutes before he could have the boy stripped and in his bed, hot and ready for him.

He thought Kurt was going to back out and had been anxious about their deal. Kurt was a crier and he cried for any number of emotions.

Kurt had just grabbed an overnight bag and called a goodbye to the girls. Sebastian didn't even see them and Kurt didn't mention him to them either. Not even letting Sebastian step a single foot in through the doorway. They had both been there to see Kurt whisked away by Sebastian. If they didn't put it together, then that was on them. Unless Kurt made up a lie.

"You won't need that, you're not spending the night." Sebastian didn't do sleepovers.

"Whatever, I'm bringing it anyway."

"Do this often then?" Sebastian goaded but Kurt didn't reply. He had said Blaine got in the way of Kurt and his current boyfriend at the time. Maybe he was used to it.

Turned out it had his headphones and a school book inside his bag for the commute back. As well as some toiletries including lube, condoms, a toothbrush, paste, hair styling gel and lotion and another pair of underwear. All things that Sebastian could see Kurt bringing anywhere, not necessarily a night out. He discovered the contents at a later juncture when his curiosity got the best of him while Kurt was in a shower.

He hadn't needed to bring the lube and condoms as Sebastian had a whole drawer full of each with an array of sizes, flavors and sensitivity level.

Surprising Sebastian yet again with a boldness he didn't think he had, Kurt stripped quickly and easily, unconcerned by his naked state. It was not the Kurt he had known last year. It was only when Kurt started tugging on Sebastian's clothes, did Sebastian touch him and held his hands still. He held both with one hand while reaching out to touch Kurt's stomach with the other, there was a big angry bruise there. "Did I do that?"

"Inadvertently." Kurt shrugged. "It was your shoulder. You didn't set out to do me harm."

"Hmm... from now on if I carry you anywhere, it won't be the fireman's carry."

"Or just get padded shoulder pads, which ever." Kurt's teasing light in his eyes, his flippant response, his unconcern for physical harm, stirred something else besides pure lust within Sebastian and he stomped it down.

He swept Kurt up into his arms and tossed him onto the bed, striping his own clothes with very few movements and hardly any effort and joined the lithe man on the bed.

Other bruises joined that one but these were not deep at all and was pure pleasure when receiving them. No pain involved whatsoever or if there was, it was a good pain.

KURT

Their plan to burn this sexual chemistry out and let the ashes fall to the ground in a pile was harder than they thought. In fact every time they congressed it seemed to get more intense, easy to set them on fire and burned hotter than the time before. They just had to look at each other and both were of like minds of going off and finding some corner to sate their desire.

It was interfering with their concentration while they weren't in each other's presence too. They found themselves reaching for their phones to send flirty messages, sexual innuendos and outright pornographic comments to each other and pictures. Kurt never thought he'd send pictures but he did with Sebastian and got pictures back. He would have been offended by it before but now he was turned on by them. Used them to help him get himself back in line or sit in pain for ages.

Except those texts weren't just to get each other and themselves off any more. There were other comments thrown in from each of them. Not conversational comments, not necessarily, but a random thought or something they'd come across. Including funny gifs and pictures of things around them that they thought the other would get a kick out of.

Then slowly, it was conversations, both via text and in bed. And they couldn't just stay in bed forever, they had to eat too. Eating was first delivery then take out picked up on the way to the building, had to be ordered and thought of ahead of time. Then Kurt started puttering out in the kitchen one night using whatever Sebastian had on hand to make food since it was well passed the time anyone would deliver (and Kurt was stuck since the subways were not going his way home at that point either – but it wasn't a night over! Sebastian was going to pay for a cab back, he wasn't in the mood to drive each way). There wasn't much in the way of food in the kitchen but he scrounged something up for both of them. Then it was Kurt making sure Sebastian's kitchen was fully stocked and Sebastian would pay him back. Then it was dinners before they even did anything when they got to the apartment.

Then they were having dinners out so they didn't have to waste time making food or delaying their efforts to strip each other of clothes the second they were behind private doors. Flirty sexy texts and comments still passed between each other but it was peppered in with comments on their day, their lives.

Dinners started to include lunches and breakfasts but still no breakfast afterward, Kurt still had to go home. Then Sebastian would come round and they'd go get breakfast. Sometimes that mean that Kurt had seen Sebastian about 2 hours prior, the time it took for his subway to make it back before Sebastian was on his doorstep.

Then Sebastian was picking up lunch and bringing it to Kurt's school or workplace while he was between classes with a large break.

Then one day someone unfortunately made a comment that completely shocked Kurt. "Your boyfriend is so sweet to bring you meals." Thankfully Sebastian wasn't around to hear it, but it did have Kurt hyperventilating all on his own. Boyfriend? That was only the start to it, Kurt suddenly realized that Sebastian was bringing him food between classes. Which mean their plan to burn out this ridiculous lust between them had stretched over months. He tried to count how long it had been. Rachel and Santana had never once piped in with thoughts or opinions or even to mention to Kurt that it had been for so long. They didn't ask Kurt about Sebastian or push him into going on dates. They basically left him alone after the whole Blaine fiasco.

Kurt quickly backpedaled, rewinding where he and Sebastian had gotten to by telling Sebastian it was ok, he needn't bring lunch, or meet him for breakfast. He picked up take out and set his watch on a reminder to leave by a certain time every night. He decided not to go over every night and made up excuses and tried to have excuses that weren't lies at the ready. He had picked up more shifts at work, he was going out with the girls – truths.

The girls didn't ask and didn't push him to dance with any of the boys looking his way. He did see Santana grind her heel into Rachel's foot once though when Rachel opened her mouth.

He managed to pair his time down with Sebastian to one near booty call a week with only a few texts going back and forth between them about plans, that was all.

That was until one day when Sebastian pushed his way into Kurt's apartment and for the first time they had full on sex right there, on the floor in the middle of the hallway with Rachel and Santana both home. He was numb afterward, how had he let that happen? That was totally inappropriate, they couldn't even get to his bed? Santana had probably watched with a bag of popcorn and Rachel probably hid in her room with headphones on but peeking out at them on occasion. They had sex in full view of anyone who wanted to see. Sebastian hadn't even properly shut the door.

Then Sebastian got up, put his clothes back on and turned around and left without a further word.

He didn't hear from Sebastian for a month after that. Perhaps that's all they needed, they'd started on full display, all they needed to end was very public sex in front of people Kurt was mortified to have watched him.

Except, if their sexual desire for each other had burnt out with that last act, then why did Kurt feel so low and shitty? Why did he keep looking at his phone as if expecting it to light up with a message from Sebastian? He didn't have the appetite to go out looking for another lay, he seemed just completely without a libido at all anymore. He used to help himself out once a day, just a routine that had kept him sane all his puberty years. When he was with Sebastian it seemed like it was every hour or two. Now he had no drive at all for even his old routine.

He walked through his classes, took his tests, somehow studied but didn't remember doing so. Blaine, after he broke things off for the last time, after turning down the proposal, had decided he didn't want to go to NYADA afterall. He went to California instead. He was living with Mercedes and Sam. That was definitely a full on Threes Company vibe coming from them.

Neither of the girls said anything to him about what they'd witnessed or Sebastian in general but as the month passed they looked at each other with a secret conversation more and more and more.

Kurt came home one day to find Sebastian with flowers and cheesecake and a rueful smile. "We totally fucked up."

"Yeah." Kurt lifted the baseball tickets he'd purchased and was going to bring over to Sebastian's later today. "We did."

They didn't talk about it but they slowly let their routine slide back into where it was before someone dared to mention the word boyfriend to Kurt.

They were a good several months into their old routine when someone said it again. It was innocent, they didn't know what they were doing, just praising them for being a cute couple. Then Kurt smiled softly at her. "Thank you, we are, aren't we?" Then he left her to call Sebastian and make plans for the evening. Sebastian laughed and said he'd just left him and they already made plans.

"I don't mean for this evening. I mean for all our evenings."

Sebastian didn't let Kurt go home on the subway or pay for a taxi at night anymore. He drove him back to the loft if he needed something and they had breakfast before they went. More and more of Kurt's stuff found it's way over to Sebastian's and found a permanent home there. He no longer needed to bring his night bag, everything he needed was already there.

When someone dared say the B word to Sebastian, he'd just laughed. "Your boyfriend is so cute."

"Yes he is."

"You're lucky."

"You have no idea." Then Sebastian slid a hand around Kurt's head and pulled him in for a kiss. "You are cute and I am lucky." He whispered against Kurt's mouth. Kurt had just been playing around, teasing Sebastian with his latest wardrobe of "non-boy clothes" but by then he knew it wasn't a gamble to say the words out loud.

BURT

He knew there was something he'd liked about that boy stealing away with his son. He had been a little worried to figure out (too easily) that it had been an improper dalliance before he arrived. He also had no idea what the two were doing for months. They had seemed to be spinning in circles, unable to see what was in front of them.

He was nearly on the next plane over when Rachel and Santana kept calling him with their concerns. They reported in progress after the Blaine ordeal. They promised to do better at watching and not interfering, because they had seen first hand what their interference had caused. But it was so hard for them to watch the two keep it a secret. It was so hard for them to not butt in and say what they thought needed to be said, especially when it seemed the two were on the outs after proving to everyone that they were together.

Then they called Burt off. Somehow they had gotten back together and had gone to a baseball game before returning home to eat cheesecake next to the new beautiful display of flowers.

They kept him up to date that Kurt was spending even more time with Sebastian, that he had stopped picking up stupid shifts that he didn't need. That they saw less and less of him and less and less of his stuff. Until one day he announced he was moving in with his boyfriend officially and they'd have to find a new roommate to carry his portion of the rent.

Sebastian whispered he'd carry Kurt's portion until they could do so or graduate. Burt had been very impressed by that offer, it had shown even more character than he'd anticipated.

Then Kurt was coming home with Sebastian in tow and a shiny ring on his finger. Kurt didn't mention the ring, neither did Burt. Nobody said anything about how it got there but it had just appeared there one day without a big showy display with a lot of pomp and circumstance about it going onto his finger.

Yeah, Burt liked this kidnapper his son had found himself with. He really seemed to know Kurt. Sorry, no, that wasn't quite correct.

He got Kurt.
