Tooty Potter

Chapter 9: Interlude 2
While Banjo and Kazooie were traversing Mumbo's Mountain Tooty has been memorizing the book she got from Gruntilda and when they were halfway done with Mumbo's Mountain she had it fully memorized Gruntilda noticed this and said " now that you've memorized the book I'll teach you the basic wrist movements and incantations to each spell." Tooty asked which one will be first?" Gruntilda says "we'll practice the illumination charm the incantation is Lumos and there's no wrist movement just have your dominant arm extended and point your pointer finger and say Lumos as clearly as you can." Tooty does so and says " Lumos." her right pointer finger lights up with a white light and Gruntilda says " excellent now we'll practice the opposite charm." Tooty asks what is it?" Gruntilda says " it's called the black out charm and the incantation is Nox and what it does is cancel the Illumination charm while it's active." Tooty recites the incantation " Nox." and her finger returns to normal. Gruntilda says "good next we'll learn the unlocking charm the incantation is Alohamora and it unlocks anything but magical locks." Gruntilda then brings out a safe with a padlock on it and tells Tooty " point to the padlock and say Alohamora ." Tooty does as asked and recites " Alohamora." the padlock unlocks itself and the safe opens to reveal a Diddy Kong doll which Gruntilda gives to Tooty as a gift for being a good apprentice so far. then Gruntilda says next we'll learn the feather light charm the incantation is Wingardium Leviosa be sure to make the gar nice and long while moving your wrist in a circle starting from the top and then let your wrist go straight down what the spell does is levitate anything that isn't nailed down but be careful the heavier the object the worse the magic cost." Tooty does the wrist motions and recites Wingardium Leviosa." while point to the safe she just opened and it starts to levitate easily Gruntilda then says " well done now we can take a break and have lunch." they go to a hidden kitchen where Gruntilda proceeds to make Pancakes, bacon, over medium eggs and ham. they eat it all and return to the library and Gruntilda takes notice of somehing odd about The lightning bolt scar on Tooty's forehead it feels forboding to her so she pulls out Dingpot from pocket space and proceeds to brew a potion that acts like holy water once done Gruntilda tells Tooty " Drink this I noticed something odd about the scar on your forehead and it felt evil so i made this as a way to deal with it." Tooty does so and begins to scream in pain as the soul fragment from Voldemort was purged and sent to the afterlife after Tooty stopped screaming she felt as if a weight has been lifted from her shoulders. Gruntilda saw what tried to escape from the scar and went to find out what it was she found a book on the subject and found out that what she saw was a horcrux and the making of even one reduces the magical strength of the one who makes it and it can lead to a drastic change in appearance that only a mother could love and a loss of sanity Gruntilda is disgusted by it and swears " I Gruntilda the Witch hereby swear on my life and magic to never create a horcrux so mote it be." her magic accepts the oath Gruntilda then returns to Tooty and tells her " Apparently the evil presence in your scar was a horcrux and while I may be dark and vain about my beauty cheating death is one line i'll never cross since creating a horcrux would mean a worse fate than the ninth circle of hell for anyone who dares make one would consign themselves to being erased from existance if you die without your horcrux intact." Tooty responds " I agree that the balance of life and death must be preserved and I'll even sear on my magic to never make one." Tooty then says " I Tooty Potter hereby swear on my life and magic to never create a horcrux so mote it be." and her magic accepts her oath. Gruntilda then says " good now let's continue the lessons." Gruntilda pulls out a medium sized cauldron and proceeds to walk Tooty through the safety procedures of potion making and says " now we'll be learning how to make a potion that cure boils." Gruntilda hands Tooty each required ingredient and tells her how to cut them up and the proper order of insertion and the potion creation is a success. Gruntilda says "well done now we'll take a break for dinner and go to bed for the night." the return to the kitchen and Gruntilda makes Chicken Alfredo which they eat all of it and then they go to a hidden bedroom with a queen sized bed in it they get under the covers and proceed to dreamland with Gruntilda slowly having her very nature changed to what can be considered a grey variant which means while she would get along great with friends she wouldn't hesitate to kill her enemies in retaliation for any friends that got hurt.
meanwhile in a lower floor of the lair Banjo and Kazooie enter a room that has a puzzle board to their right they step on the podium and fill out the puzzle with a few of their collected Jiggies once done Bottles says " congratulations the entrance to Treasure Trove Cove is now open." not telling them that the entrance is a treasure chest. they then see some stairs to the left of the platform with Gruntilda's face on it they go down the sairs and find a cauldron that walk up to it and it wakes up and says " you awoken a warp cauldron find two of the same color and you get a shortcut between rooms of the lair. they then go up the stairs and go through the doorway on the ramp in the middle of the room and enter the next room. they then jump down to a platform with a meanacing doorway and enter the next room they find a treasure chest with the words Treasure Trove Cove on it they backflip into the chest and enter Treasure Trove Cove.
ANL: and so ends the second interlude Gruntilda seems to be turning good at a slow rate the more she interacts with Tooty and the next chapter will cover Treasure Trove Cove.
