Chapter 15: Interlude 5
While Banjo and Kazooie were traversing Bubblegloop Swamp Tooty and Gruntilda are woken up by the morning sun. they get out of bed and go to the bathroom they strip of their sleep wear and take a 30 minute bath and use the required hygiene products once done they get out of the tub and go to the walk-in closet Gruntilda puts on blue lacy undergarments and a red version of the dress she wore yesterday she then dresses Tooty in green striped white undies and a matching training bra then she puts Tooty in a purple sundress and red mary janes that are custom made for animal feet. they go to the kitchen and Gruntilda cook scrambled eggs and bacon which then are made into sandwiches which they eat and go to the library Gruntilda says "now since you finished the book yesterday I'll quiz you on a few subjects in the book." Tooty says "Okay ask away." Gruntilda says " first off rhyming is a hobby of mine and that wasn't bad. second what's the most deadly snake in the world?" Tooty responds " The most deadly snake in the world is the Basilisk it's fangs are filled with a poison so potent that it kills within mere moments of contact and if that isn't enough the Basilisk has the medusa eyes meaning if you look directly into them you'll be killed in an instant." Gruntilda then says "well done that's an accurate description of the Basilisk. second question what's the weaknesses of Vampires?" Tooty says " Vampires are weak to sunlight, silver, a stake that's been dipped in holy water and beheadings." Gruntilda says "well done that's correct and last question why do werewolves hurt themselves during a full moon?" Tooty responds "it could be a number of things but the most prominant reason is that when the moon is full there's a battle of the minds between the infected and the beast within and it results in the werewolf hurting themselves." Gruntilda says " well done that's correct now let's find another book for you to read." Gruntilda goes to a shelf and picks out a book called Ancient runes for beginners she gives it to Tooty and says "Read and memorize this book and i'll walk you through how to create runes after you're done." Tooty says "Okay i'll start right now." now since the pop quiz took an hour to do Tooty gets half way through the book after three hours and when Gruntilda returns for lunch she says " impressive it took me two days to get that far in the book now let's take a break for lunch." Tooty says "Okay all this reading was making me hungry anyway." they go to the kitchen and Gruntilda cooks a supreme pizza which they eat all of it and return to the library and Tooty resumes reading the book she was given earlier for six hours in which time she completes the book and Gruntilda returns and says " most impressive it took me four days to read and memorize that book it seems i have a prodigy in the magic arts on my hands. now since it's late we'll learn a few of the runes in that book tomorrow for now we'll eat dinner and go to bed." Tooty says "Okay all that reading made me tired anyway." they go to the kitchen and Gruntilda cooks curry which they eat it all and they go to the bedroom and strip of their clothes and dress in a new set of sleep wear Gruntilda dresses up in a red night gown and she puts Tooty in a pink kid's pajama's that's adorned with unicorns and rainbows. they get in bed and go to dreamland.
Meanwhile in a lower floor of the lair Banjo and Kazooie return to the room with the tacky statue of Gruntilda they go to the right of the statue and see a series of cliffs that lead to the next area the backflip and jump their way to the top they find a music note door with a lock strength of 250 they walk up to it and the door opens they go through the doorway and end up in a room with a large vase in the middle and a sarcophagus next to a wall there's also two breakable walls which they beak barge in one room there's a pair of wading boots in the other is a switch with a shock jump pad image on it they beak bomb it and a shock jump pad appears and encircles the vase they step on the shock jump pad and shock jump into the vase it apparently sends them back to the room with the tacky statue of Gruntilda and due to hitting the witch switch in Bubblegloop Swamp there's an opening that they fall through they land at the feet of the statue and grab the Jiggy and do the fanfare they then go back to the room with the vase and see na set of stairs to their left the go through the doorway and enter the next room which is the entrance room to Freezeezy Peak they see a tunnel covered in snow to their right and go through it and they find the entrance to Freezeezy Peak and enter the pocket dimension.
AN: and that's the end of the fifth interlude Gruntilda and Tooty have bonded a little more as master and apprentice while Banjo and Kazooie have entered one of two worlds that require a little back tracking to complete. in the game you can't complete Gobi's Valley without the Beak Buster which is learned in Freezeezy Peak and the latter can't be completed without the turbo trainers which is learned in Gobi's Valley. I'll have the backtracking dealt with in a later interlude to save time.
