Quinn and Negan, Alexandria
We were cuddling in the bed under the blanket for a little while, then we went downstairs and ate lunch. I never get disappointed by Carol's cooking skills. Everything was delicious. Negan enjoyed the meal too. After we finished eating we sat on the couch this time.
"We should prepare for leaving soon," I said, thinking out loud.
"Why? We have five days. This is the first one, so we have four more. Plenty of time," he explained.
"Right… Do you have any ideas where should we go?" I asked unsurely. Negan frowned his eyebrows deep in thoughts.
"Yeah… the first thing that came to my mind was of course the Sanctuary but… last time I was there it was a ruin. Not safe anymore. And… I don't want to see that hell again," he stated as he looked me in the eyes. I gently caressed his healthy cheek.
"You don't have to go back there ever again. And you're not that person anymore. You have nothing to do with it," I said trying to comfort him. He nodded understandingly but then he continued thinking out loud.
"Next thing that came to my mind was Dixon's girlfriend's house in the woods, where Carol tried to move me in… but I guess you don't want to go there either," he said as he examined my reaction.
"Honestly, I don't really want to go there. I know it's close to Alexandria, but… not just that Leah lived there, but it doesn't have any fence or walls or anything, it's just a house. If walkers come by or anyone who wants to harm us they'll be right up by the door and windows," I explained. "It's easy to get in."
Negan listened to me closely, nodding in agreement.
"That's true. We should find a random house with a fence around it and just take it," he said.
"Yes, I think that would be the best option," I said still thinking. I didn't really want to go, but we would be safe and we wouldn't have to deal with Maggie anymore.
"So… are you moving in with me?" asked Negan smiling.
"Are we not living together right now?" I returned the question. He chuckled.
"Yeah, but we never really talked about it and it kind of just happened," he said.
"Yes, like our entire relationship," I said.
"Damn," he said as we both chuckled. After a moment of thought, I answered.
"Yes, I'm moving in with you."
"Good," he approved and smiled at me in that loving manner. "So officially… you're my girlfriend and we're living together," he stated. I stood up from the couch and glanced at him. I didn't know why he wanted to say it out loud and make it so official, but if it made him feel better, then why not.
"If you say so…" I said with a sigh like I didn't want it, but of course, I was just joking.
"What?" he asked frowning his eyebrows questioningly.
"I was trying to joke," I said smiling at him. He chuckled and grabbed my waist.
"That's how we play?" he asked as he pulled me onto his lap. I giggled and looked him in the eye. I hesitated for a moment, but then I kissed him. We started making out. It was going on for a long while. As I was sitting on his lap, I felt something with my thigh… I stopped and glanced down and saw exactly what I thought I was feeling. Negan was smiling at my reaction.
"Still don't wanna see it?" he asked with that impish look on his face. I felt so embarrassed my face went the reddest so far. I didn't even know what to answer. Seeing my confusion he kissed me once again. First gently, then the making-out session continued. Then he slipped his hands under my thighs and grabbed me while he stood up.
"Shit, you're gonna drop me!" I said scared a bit, hugging his shoulders tightly. He chuckled at my reaction.
"You don't trust me?" he asked with that loving smile. I let out a sigh as I got lost in his eyes and eased up a bit, not squeezing his shoulders anymore.
"I do,' I said as he walked to the stairs carrying me. "I don't mean to be rude, but I didn't think you could lift me," I said thinking out loud as we were going upstairs. His hands weren't even shaking, he got me steady. He chuckled like he got offended.
"Holy crap, Quinn! That's the worst thing you could ever say to a man!" he said taken aback, chuckling disbelievingly.
"I'm sorry," I said ashamed. I had no experience with men at all basically. My previous boyfriends… we were kids and we didn't get so close.
"It's okay," he said. "As you can see I can easily lift you," he said. "Even though I'm not as muscular as holy Dixon."
"I didn't mean like that…" I said, but it was hard to explain myself at this point. "And he is not holy," I said. He exhaled sharply as we stepped into the bedroom and set me down on the edge of the bed. He straightened his back and glanced down.
"Look, you made him sad," he said. My face went so red again, but still, I glanced at it…
"I'm sorry," I repeated. "Look, I didn't mean it like you're not strong, I meant that I was heavy," I stated.
"Are you kidding? You are barely skin and bones," he said. This time I frowned my eyebrows questioningly. "Okay, that came out wrong," he admitted.
"That's something you really shouldn't say to a woman," I stated in the same way like he said downstairs.
"I mean you're pretty and not heavy at all," he tried to correct himself.
"Okay, this came out wrong from both sides," I said chuckling embarrassed.
"Yeah," he said as he sat next to me on the bed and leaned forward with his elbows resting on his knees. "I feel like a cringy teenager right now," he admitted.
"What should I say then?" I asked still chuckling. He chuckled too and lie down on the bed. I lie next to him. He turned his face towards me. We were watching each other for a couple of seconds, then he caressed my cheek. I nestled closer to him, then I waited for a kiss. He made me wait for a couple of minutes, just staring and smiling, then he closed the gap and kissed me, while still caressing my cheek. After a while, he backed away.
"I think I know a house…" he started but I interrupted him.
"Don't think about that right now," I said as I put both of my hands on his cheeks and kissed him again. I didn't want to think about anything else right now, I just wanted to think about Him. He was smiling while we were kissing, then we started making out. His hand slipped onto the side of my neck. During the long making-out session, he took my hand and placed it on his boxer. I got startled for a second, but he didn't let me pull my hand back, he kept his hand on top of my hand and started moving it, rubbing his boxer. I quickly gave in. I was on my way to getting used to these kinds of things. After a little while, he let go of my hand and got rid of his clothes. I did the same and suddenly he was on top of me…
…
By the time we finished, the sun was almost completely down. As we were lying next to each other, staring at the ceiling, trying to catch our breaths, my stomach started growling. He glanced at me.
"Sorry," I said.
"Why do you say sorry for being hungry?" he asked.
"I'm saying sorry for the noise my stomach made," I said smiling at him.
"But it's natural, don't be sorry about it," he said.
"Okay. Then let's eat something," I said, he nodded and we got up. I put back on his white T-shirt, but nothing else. It was oversized for me so it was just covering everything. He put only his boxer on. We went to the kitchen and had dinner. As we were eating, I asked him:
"What kind of house popped into your head earlier?"
"Oh, that…" he said then gulped the food down. "I saw a house near the Sanctuary once we were raiding," he said.
"You went out raiding?" I asked in surprise. "I thought you sent your… servants," I said searching for the right word. He chuckled entertained.
"Sometimes the servants need the king to lead them," he answered with a determined look in his eyes. I think I saw the old Negan for a second. Then the glance vanished and he smiled at me lovingly, which I knew all too well. "I was sometimes going out, searching for stuff. I came across a house once, I remember I thought what a nice house, it's a shame I couldn't bring it back with me to the Sanctuary."
"There are some things that even a king can't have," I said.
"Yeah," he said chuckling. The previous Negan look completely vanished, like it was never there, only this new, innocent Negan.
"So, do you remember how to get there?" I asked.
"Yeah, sure. We can check it once we have to go," he said. I nodded in agreement.
"Alright," I said.
"It had a fence around it," he added then took another bite. I smiled at him.
"That's a good start," I stated. We finished eating in silence, then I put the dishes into the washer. He stood up and started stretching his back. I couldn't take my eyes off of him.
"What?" he asked smiling. I got distracted and turned my eyes away.
"Nothing. I think we should shower… after all this…" I said to the ground embarrassed. He walked towards me.
"Half of me wishes that you never stop reacting to me like this, and my other half wishes you would stop and be more confident because you have nothing to be ashamed of," he stated as he took my hand and stroked my arm along. I looked him in the eye.
"Maybe one day," I smiled at him. "Let's shower," I said and headed upstairs. He followed me. Now that Carol fixed the electricity we could turn the lights on, which means… it will be way too bright in the bathroom. The last time we showered together we had to light a candle, so it was quite dark in here. As I took my shirt off and stepped into the shower he hesitated for a second. Seemed like he thought the same thing.
"Are you comfortable showering with me?" he asked unsurely. I took a deep breath, then I glanced back at him above my shoulder and nodded yes. He started smiling and took his boxer off. I didn't turn my eyes away this time. He stepped behind me and we started washing ourselves, then each other. And then he kissed me. Of course, it turned into a long make-out session again and he couldn't keep his hands away from me, so I didn't keep my hands away either. We leave Alexandria soon, we don't have to save water anymore. We started under the shower, then we continued in the bed. He was still so gentle the entire time like I was made out of porcelain. It was hard to believe all the things he did. How he cheated on Lucille, how he had many wives at the Sanctuary, forcing them to please him to get comfortable life in return. How he killed people… how he murdered Abraham and Glenn… It felt like they were a lifetime ago… or done by a completely different person. He was gentle and humble. He took everything slow with me. Was this him all along, he was just acting for years in front of other people? Or did Gabriel and Judith change him? Maybe I changed him? Maybe Negan himself doesn't know the answer to that question.
