Part Eighteen: The One With The Rooftop
Emma was pacing in front of the City Hall building, nervously waiting for Regina to arrive.
She rubbed her sweaty hands on her jeans and then shook them mid-air to get rid of some tension.
She hoped Regina would like what she had prepared for the night.
Emma had never gone this far to make something, anything beautiful to someone else in her life.
Not even herself.
But Regina was different.
She deserved something beautiful.
And Emma wanted to give her that.
It was tricky, to make all the arrangements she needed in time.
And once again, Emma had to go to Henry for help.
God, she would never hear the end of it from Regina.
Emma had met with Henry that morning up on his Castle and asked if he could possibly get the City Hall keys from Regina.
So Emma had to lie and say that she wanted to investigate something for Operation Cobra.
Henry was on board right the way.
And Emma wasn't sure if she should feel happy or sad about that.
She hated that he still thought of Regina as some evil witch, although, he wasn't mistreating her as he used to anymore.
And the effect of that on Regina's features was visible.
That and maybe one kiss or two from Emma.
Henry asked Emma what her plans were and Emma had to improvise, telling him some made-up story about research when Storybrooke was made and all that.
Henry then told her that was stupid because he knew exactly when Storybrooke was created.
On the day of her birth.
Emma had to suppress the urge to roll her eyes but couldn't help the grunt sound that formed within her throat.
And the way Henry looked at her, with both his eyebrows arched made Emma smile.
He acted so much like Regina, that he didn't even realize it.
So, Emma had to improvise again and said that she needed more evidence and after pondering upon her words, Henry told Emma he knew exactly how to get the keys from his mom.
And at three in the afternoon that day, Henry had shown up at the Sheriff's station with the key in hand and the code for his mother's office.
It was his birthday.
According to Henry, Regina used his birthday for everything.
Emma didn't even want to ask how the hell he got the keys from Regina.
After Henry left, Emma asked Graham to leave the station earlier too.
He asked what for and Emma gave him her usual none of you business answer.
She truly did hate how everyone was so nosy in this town.
Emma drove her bug to the restaurant Regina liked and placed a special order for the night.
The chef refused at first but then Emma told them that it was for the Mayor and it was amazing how the staff's attitude changed and everyone eagerly agreed to her request.
Regina's name was like a door opening in this town.
After paying for the food and scheduling a time to pick it all up, Emma drove to the hardware store where she hoped to find the second part of her plan.
And after the hardware store, Emma drove to Maurice's flower shop to buy rose petals.
Emma didn't even know that was possible. She had dozens of bouquets in her hands and she was nearly knocking everything around the store when Maurice came to help her and asked why she needed so many roses.
Emma felt her cheeks burn when she said she only wanted the petals.
Maurice just took the bouquets from Emma's hands and took her to a freezer at the back of the store where Emma bought dozens of packages with just the petals.
It was about five in the afternoon when Emma parked the car in the back of the Mayor's office.
She knew it was safe to get in without risking running into Regina because Henry had his therapy session that day and they always left at five so he could have something to eat at Granny's.
But Emma made sure to check if Regina's car was anywhere near just in case.
It wasn't.
Emma slid the key inside the locker and when she twisted the doorknob and the door simply opened, Emma smirked and shook her head.
Henry was such a sneaky bastard.
She walked back to the car and picked up everything she had bought that day plus a few things she got from the loft.
Emma was sure Mary Margaret wouldn't miss a few cushions, the house had like dozens.
With everything in hand, Emma entered the building and made her way up to the roof.
It was the perfect spot.
The front of the roof of City Hall was completely covered but Emma had noticed that the back of the building, the part that faced the woods was completely open like a rooftop.
Emma had been checking the weather Chanel on her phone since her first date with Regina.
It was going to be cold soon enough but until then, they still had a few days of light sunny days with barely any wind and a soft breeze at night.
So tonight was perfect for a rooftop date.
Emma walked to the left corner of the roof and started to assemble the tent.
Emma had chosen a round tent with soft white lace curtains falling on the sides. On top of the tent, there were zippers that Emma pulled open on both sides of the roof, giving her a magnificent view of the sky.
Inside the tent, Emma decorated it with an air mattress and put white sheets and duvets on top of it and then, cushions all around it.
To finish it up, Emma hung yellow fairy lights all around the tent, making it look like a curtain, and then on the inside, Emma left the lights on the floor of the tent, making it look cozy.
Emma looked at the tent and smiled as the lights danced in front of her eyes contrasting with the sun that was already setting painting the sky with bright red and orange lights in the dark that was about to come.
It was beautiful.
It was idyllic and delicate and Emma could only hope Regina would appreciate it as much as Emma did because this was completely new territory for her.
After the tent was ready, Emma left the roof and walked to Regina's office, typing Henry's birthday code before the alarm go off.
She needed a table and chairs for the dinner.
She looked around Regina's office but apart from the two chairs in front of Regina's desk, there wasn't much Emma could pick up, or even carry alone to the roof.
Emma cursed under her breath, looking at the time to see if she had time left to go look for a small table, but time was running faster than she had originally anticipated.
Emma carried the two chairs, one under each arm, cursing and knocking them over the walls while struggling to keep her balance.
Why were those damn chairs so heavy?
Emma tried to think of an alternative for the table, but every time she thought of a solution that annoying voice in the back of her mind told her one simple phrase: This isn't what you envisioned.
Emma wanted everything to be perfect.
She wanted everything to go exactly the way she had planned, the way she had envisioned in her mind.
She wanted Regina to be out of breath surprised when she saw what Emma did.
Because Emma knew nothing in this world could ever be more beautiful than make Regina out of breath.
Emma smirked and shook her head as she pulled the lustful thoughts of Regina away but as faith would have it, Emma lost her balance and knocked one of the chairs over a door.
Shit!
Emma check the door to see if there were any scratches on it when she notice the metal tag labeling the door.
Storage!
Emma smiled as she looked at the door and then reached for the keys Henry had given her, trying one after another until she found the right one.
And when Emma opened the door, there it was, everything she needed to make the night as perfect as she had imagined.
A round small wooden table in the center of the room.
And a dark wood sideboard in the corner that Emma would definitely carry to the roof.
After a lot of trouble and a lot more curses, Emma was able to carry all the furniture to the roof.
She covered the table with a beautiful white tablecloth that she took from the loft and arranged the plates, cutlery, and champagne glasses.
She positioned the sideboard next to the table, it would serve to hold the champagne ice bucket and dessert without taking up the space on the table.
Last, Emma spread the red rose petals on the floor from the rooftop door, making a pathway to the table and then from the table to the tent.
By the time Emma finished, the sky was dark and colored with silver dots of stars.
The wind was soft and gentle, just a cool breeze kissing her skin, and not strong enough to blow a single petal away.
The moon was full and bright above her, helping the fairy lights illuminate the rooftop.
Emma took in all of her surroundings, knowing that all the trouble she had to put all of that together was worth it, not because everything looked exactly the way she wanted but also because…
She was worth it.
Regina was worth everything.
Emma braced herself waiting for that self-doubt to play tricks with her mind.
To tell her that she was not worth it.
To tell her that Regina was just toying with her, that she would kick her to the side as soon as she got bored with Emma.
It was almost desperate and painful the way those thoughts danced in her mind and squeezed her heart inside her ribs.
But then that scent came into her mind, that apple blossom scent and winter nights as if they were pulling her out of those dark thoughts telling her that they had no place there anymore.
Emma could almost feel like Regina was right there with her, whispering in her ear that she had nothing to be afraid of.
Whispering that she was home.
Emma swallowed dry and laughed a little to herself while shooking her head.
At least the self-doubt was gone.
So Emma left the building and went back to the loft to shower and change.
For tonight, Emma decided to go with dark jeans and a silky burgundy button-up blouse that Emma left two buttons open displaying just an inch of her lacy black lingerie. She finished up with heeled over-the-knee black boots that made her legs look longer than they were and then she curled her hair and applied soft make-up.
Just foundation and concealer, pink lipstick, and blush for color.
The mascara was Emma's weakness and she always applied it at least three times to make the desired effect.
After she was ready, Emma stopped by the restaurant to pick up the order for the night.
Cheese and chocolate fondue.
They had set everything up for her, from the fondue to the sidedishes to the equipment Emma needed to keep the food warm.
Emma went straight to the rooftop when she arrived at the building, setting everything on the table and lighting up the candle under the fondue pot to keep the cheese gooey.
On the sideboard, Emma put the champagne iced bucket and the chocolate fondue for dessert.
Once everything was ready, Emma went downstairs to wait for Regina.
And the waiting was killing her.
Emma was so nervous about everything.
It was a mix of feeling proud and embarrassed at the same time.
Of making too much and not enough.
She wanted to show Regina everything that she was feeling when it was too soon for words.
Words that Emma knew she couldn't voice.
Not yet!
But one day.
Maybe.
Maybe one day she would voice them if…
Emma let out a puff of air and shook her head, lightly laughing to herself at the absurdity of her thoughts.
She barely knew Regina!
Who's to say it's meant to be?
But Emma knew the answer to that.
A light noise of rock scraping the ground and heels clicking against the pavement brought Emma's attention to the entrance of the building.
And when Emma saw Regina, walking in her direction, dressed in a black sleeveless dress that hugged every curve of her body with perfection, she smiled.
It wasn't often that her breath was taken that easily.
And when that scent of blooming apples and winter breeze kissed her skin, Emma knew it wasn't a matter of if.
But when!
Regina walked nervously in Emma's direction feeling her legs tremble and her breathing fast at the way Emma was looking at her.
Regina clutched her purse between her fingers and swallowed dry as Emma's gaze never failed to roam every inch of her body, absorbing as much as she could.
Devouring her.
And then she smiled.
So beautifully and genuine and honest that Regina forgot to breathe for the briefest of seconds as her eyes locked with Emma's.
She was stunning!
"Hi," Emma said, her cheeks slightly pink when Regina stood in front of her "You look beautiful"
"Thank you," Regina smiled shyly "So do you"
"Come on," Emma smiled at Regina, stretching her hand for Regina to take.
Regina took Emma's hand without hesitation, and the second their skin made contact, the second Regina intertwined her fingers with Emma's she felt that jolt of electricity run through her body, racing inside her veins and mixing with her blood.
It was tender and lustful and woke Regina's body in a way she could only crave for more.
Emma pulled Regina inside the building and Regina frowned as she followed Emma up the stairs.
"Where are we going?" Regina asked.
"You'll see," Emma turned her head to look at Regina smiling.
"How exactly did you acquire entrance to the building?" Regina asked suspiciously "I'm the only one who has the keys"
"How about I answer that after our date?" Emma smirked.
"Perhaps it is for the best," Regina said solemnly.
Emma let out a laugh and squeezed Regina's hand as they continued to go up, step by step.
Regina couldn't understand what they were doing, where Emma was taking her.
The more she thought about it the more her mind came back completely blank.
Eventually, they arrived on the last floor of the building stopping in front of the door to the roof.
Emma looked back at Regina nervously, biting her lower lip.
It was adorable!
And Regina wanted to sink her own teeth into that lip.
"We are here," Emma said shyly, her voice nearly a whisper.
"Okay?" Regina said looking back at Emma.
Emma sank her teeth a little further onto her lip before releasing Regina's hand and walking to the door, pushing it open.
Emma entered the roof and then waited for Regina to follow her.
The first thing Regina noticed was the rose petals on the floor.
Curiosity rose inside Regina and she took the three missing steps that separated her from the entrance, stepping inside the roof.
And her breath got caught in her throat at the view.
Regina parted her lips slightly taking everything all at once.
The petals of roses pathway on the floor, the small table for two, and then the tent completely illuminated with fairy lights on the corner of the roof.
Everything was was so beautifully decorated, so cozy, Regina could almost touch all the effort Emma had put to make this for her.
For them.
Regina felt her heart warm with so many emotions, all running through her caressing all the walls she had built around it, walls that Emma seemed to take down so effortlessly.
Except that it wasn't effortlessly.
Emma had put her mind and time and soul into this.
Her heart was here, from the petals on the ground to the very last light on the tent.
She was real.
And she wanted Regina, she wanted her without strings attached, without owing her a favor, without magic binding them together.
She wanted Regina even when Regina had shown her her worse.
Emma had stayed. Emma had fought for her.
Emma wanted her.
Just her.
Just Regina.
"Do you like it?" Emma asked beside her, her warm breath tickling Regina's ear.
"Emma," Regina whispered turning in her direction. She felt her eyes fill lightly with tears and smiled softly at Emma, raising one hand to cherish Emma's cheek "It's beautiful"
Emma closed her eyes for a second and leaned into the touch, bringing Regina's palm to her lips before kissing the back of Regina's hand.
"Come on," Emma smiled at Regina, pulling softly the hand on her cheek and intertwining it with her fingers.
They walked the rose petals pathway side by side while Regina looked at everything around her a soft smile adorning her lips.
They reached the table and Emma gallantly pulled the chair out for Regina.
"Are those the chairs from my office?" Regina asked, sitting down.
"Yep," Emma answered, going around to take her own seat.
"Do I want to know how you entered my office?" Regina arched an eyebrow.
"Not right now you don't," Emma smirked "I also got the table from the storage room"
"Should I report you for transpassing?" Regina asked.
"You could," Emma nodded "But I'll probably be the one taking your report, and honestly? I'm not in the mood to get in trouble"
Regina laughed, a genuine and carefree laugh, one that spread joy all over her body.
It made her soul lighter.
When her eyes focused on Emma again, she was smiling at Regina softly and lovingly and Regina's hands inched to cherish her cheek again.
"You should do that more often," Emma said.
"Do what?" Regina asked.
"Laugh," Emma smiled "It looks beautiful on you"
Regina smiled at Emma feeling her cheeks turn a shade pinker.
She needed something to focus her attention on, something other than Emma otherwise she would just surrender to this bubbling feeling building inside of her and melt away.
Regina looked at the food in front of them, frowning when the familiar smell assaulted her nose.
"Is this from Magic Water Seafood?" Regina asked.
"Yep," Emma nodded "I know now that it's your favorite restaurant in town"
"It is," Regina laughed lightly "I didn't know they have fondue"
"They don't,"
"Then how…" Regina trailed off.
"Well," Emma smiled cheekily "Did you know that your name can be a real door opening around this town?"
"I may have some knowledge," Regina arched an eyebrow.
"Well then, in that case," Emma said "You'll be glad to know that your name can unlock any door. All I had to do was say Regina and they suddenly had everything I needed"
"So you are using my name to get benefits around town?" Regina asked, "Tell me, deputy, as a law enforcement member isn't that a violation of your code of ethics?"
"Wait, we have a code of ethics?" Emma said bringing her hand to her heart "I'm shocked"
Regina smirked and Emma winked at her before getting up to fetch the champagne.
Regina watched Emma, carefully taking the champagne from the ice bucket and then putting some pressure on top of the cork while twisting the muselet until the cork was released with a pop.
Emma smiled at Regina and walked to her, filling her glass of champagne before her own and then putting the champagne back inside the bucket and taking her seat.
"To us," Emma said raising her glass "And all the good things that may come out of this second date"
Regina smiled at Emma and clicked their glass together, before taking a sip of the champagne, the bubbles a welcome distraction on her tongue.
Her heart was leaping inside her chest, so strongly that Regina was almost scared Emma could hear it beating, could hear the sweet song it sang inside her chest, telling Regina that everything was good now simply because she found where she belonged.
It was too much, too strong too soon.
And yet, not enough, her heart craved more, her soul demanded more, so much more that Regina could feel her skin prickling begging her for Emma.
"You okay?" Emma asked softly, her eyes looking slightly worried at Regina.
"Yeah," Regina shook her head and moved her eyes to the food "It smells amazing"
"I know," Emma laughed "I nearly attacked when it was inside my bug and then again when I was setting it in here"
"You haven't tried yet?" Regina asked.
"Nope," Emma shook her head and looked into Regina's eyes "I was waiting for you"
Regina swallowed dry, without missing the look on Emma's face or what it could be read between the lines.
"I asked for an extra portion of shrimp," Emma said "I know it's your favorite"
"They are," Regina smiled and pick up the fondue fork, sticking it on the shrimp and then inside the melted cheese.
"Oh, this is so good," Regina moaned.
"Yeah, it is," Emma said, her eyes watching Regina.
"I thought you said you haven't tried them yet?" Regina asked.
"Tried what?" Emma blinked her eyes.
"The food?" Regina laughed a little.
"Oh right, the food," Emma's cheek turned a shade pink "Yeah, no I haven't"
"Then how did you know it was good?" Regina asked while Emma sank her shrimp inside the cheese.
"I wasn't talking about the food," Emma said before putting the shrimp inside her mouth.
And now it was Regina's turn to feel her cheeks turn a shade pinker.
Regina sipped her champagne and then went for a piece of lobster, moaning again when the tender meat fell apart in her mouth.
And then she smirked when she saw Emma biting her lower lip while looking at her.
"What is the tent for?" Regina asked, tilting her head in the direction of the tent.
"I figure we could use a place to lie down after eating all os this," Emma said lightly.
"Really?" Regina asked mischievously.
"Yes, of course," Emma said, going for a potato now.
"And here I was thinking you were hoping to take me to bed tonight," Regina said seductively.
And smirked at the way Emma choked on the potato.
"You okay?" Regina asked amused.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Emma said taking a gulp of the champagne to help the potato down "That wasn't my intention"
"No?" Regina arched an eyebrow.
"Nope," Emma said, gaining some confidence "But I'm not opposed to it"
Regina smiled at Emma and then reached for another shrimp.
She wasn't opposed to it either.
"What did you tell Henry tonight?" Emma asked.
"I told him that I had another council meeting" Regina sighed "But I'm not convinced he believed that"
"Regina, he didn't," Emma said "He barely believed you the first time"
"I know," Regina scratched her forehead "But what was I supposed to tell him?"
"That you were going to a party?" Emma asked.
"He wouldn't believe that either," Regina sighed "He knows I don't get invited to parties"
"Why not?" Emma asked before going for another shrimp "You are the Mayor, I'm sure you have lots of events to attend to"
"Storybrooke is not like that," Regina reached for her champagne stretching the gulp while gathering her thoughts "We are a small town"
"That's true," Emma nodded "Is he home alone?"
"He is, yes," Regina said "I wanted to call Sidney to stay with him but Henry was very eloquent in his speech of not being a baby anymore. Which he is, by the way"
Emma smiled lovingly at Regina at her last comment.
And Regina's heart warmed at the sight of that.
"I agree," Emma said, the smile still playing on her lips "But Storybrooke is a safe town and Henry is a smart kid. I'm sure he is fine"
"I know he is," Regina said "He traveled all alone all the way to Boston to find you using his teacher's credit card after all"
"I still can't believe he did that," Emma laughed "I have no idea how he pulled it off"
"Me neither," Regina shook her head "Sometimes I think he is too smart for his own good"
"Pretty sure he got that from you," Emma pointed at Regina.
"I'm not sure I should find that flattering or offensive" Regina arched an eyebrow.
"It's flattering," Emma smiled "For the most part"
Regina smirked and drank the last of her champagne.
"More?" Emma asked, pointing at the glass.
"No," Regina shook her head, "I think one glass is more than enough for the night"
"How about some dessert now?" Emma asked.
"I would love some,"
Emma blew out the candle under the fondue pot and removed it from the table, setting the chocolate fondue in the center and then all the fruits on the side.
Regina picked up a new fondue fork and then reached for a strawberry, dipping it inside the melted chocolate before eating.
"This is really good too," Regina said happily.
Emma stared at Regina for a second too long before walking in her direction and kneeling in front of her.
"What?" Regina asked, looking down at Emma.
"You have some chocolate sauce," Emma whispered before raising her hand to Regina's face, sliding her finger gently on the corner of Regina's lips "Right here"
Regina felt every movement of Emma's thumb on her face as if it was happening in slow motion, her eyes never leaving Emma's.
And just when Emma's thumb was about to slide down her chin, Regina caught Emma's wrist, bringing her thumb to her lips and licking the chocolate sauce.
Emma's breathing was accelerating by the second, her heart beating so fast Regina could feel it vibrating against her skin.
Her green eyes were dark and lustful, and looking at Regina with an intensity she had never felt from anyone in her life before.
She had never felt desired by anyone before. Not like that. Not like the way Emma wanted her.
Regina could feel it in her bones, her own skin was burning, her breathing matching Emma's now.
So when Emma pushed her body slightly up and claimed Regina's lips with hers, Regina kissed her back with the same intensity, her hands snaking around Emma's neck pulling her closer and closer and closer, while their kiss deepened in a mess of teeth and tongue and moans that Regina couldn't tell if they were leaving her lips or Emma's.
It didn't matter.
It didn't matter that Regina was kissing Emma with an abandonment she didn't even know she had inside of her, it didn't matter that she greedily deepened the kiss asking for more, it didn't matter if her moans sounded like a pleading for Emma never to stop.
It didn't matter if that made her look weak because here was where she felt the strongest.
She wanted Emma, she wanted all of her, fast and slow, hard and soft, gentle and rough.
She wanted everything.
She wanted Emma Swan.
Regina kissed Emma until her lungs started to burn for oxygen and she had no choice but to pull apart.
Emma grunted her protest the second Regina's lips weren't moving against hers anymore and she smiled at the visceral sound Emma made.
Emma pressed her forehead against Regina, her breathing just as heavy but unable to completely pull away.
Regina closed her eyes as she dug her fingertips into the back of Emma's neck trying to collect her thoughts, trying to understand all of the emotions that ran through her body while they were kissing.
Regina moved her lips to Emma's cheek, kissing it gently, before pulling the chair back and standing up.
She needed a second alone.
Regina walked to the parapet closer to the tent and looked up at the sky.
The cool wind was blowing gently, kissing her burning skin, the sky was dark and dotted with stars, and the moon above them was full, projecting a silver glow on the roof.
Regina took a deep breath, letting herself get used to this feeling that was rapidly taking over her body.
Her whole existence.
This feeling of being alive again.
It had been so long since Regina had let herself succumb to this feeling. So long that she had felt something so strong.
What she was feeling for Emma was already so much bigger than what she had ever felt before in her life, like she was that last piece of the puzzle that was here to make her whole again.
Make her feel loved.
Make her feel like she had finally found her home.
Regina closed her eyes and waited, waited for the feeling of fear to take over her, for her heart to tell her that this was dangerous and that she should walk away from it.
But her senses were assaulted by that scent of wildflowers and summer breeze that enveloped her body and anchored her soul.
Telling her to stay.
Regina smiled at this new feeling that was washing over her, something so beautiful and pure, so unique that belonged only to her and Emma.
The fear never came.
And Regina knew this was something she would never be able to run away from.
"I'm sorry," Emma said beside her.
Regina opened her eyes and turn her head to look at Emma.
The fear shining behind her beautiful green eyes made Regina's heart clench.
"Sorry for what?" Regina asked.
"I shouldn't have kissed you like that," Emma said looking down "It was too much and we were just having dessert and…"
"Don't you dare ever apologize for kissing me," Regina said seriously.
"What?" Emma lifted her eyes to look at Regina, a small smile already forming on her lips.
"You heard me, Miss Swan," Regina smiled and took a step closer to Emma, running her hand gently down Emma's face "Never apologize for that"
"Okay," Emma smiled and leaned forward pressing her lips against Regina's.
Who couldn't stop her own smile at the gesture.
"Why did you get up?" Emma asked.
"I needed a moment to collect my thoughts," Regina said sincerely, dropping her hand from Emma's face and looking out the woods.
"Okay," Emma nodded "Do you want to go back to the table and finish the dessert?"
"Not particularly," Regina turned her head to smile devilishly at Emma "I was thinking maybe we could make some use of your sex tent"
"My what?" Emma asked confused.
"Oh, you know," Regina smirked "The tent with a big bed right behind us"
"Oh my God, Regina," Emma's cheeks burned "This is not…" Emma shook her head "This is not what I was thinking when I made the tent"
"No?" Regina asked.
"No," Emma said "I was thinking it could be a place for us to, you know, chill and talk after dinner"
"So you had no impure intents about what could happen inside that tent?" Regina took a step closer to Emma.
"No, of course not," Emma shook her head.
"Liar," Regina whispered in Emma's ear.
And felt Emma's whole body shiver in front of her.
Emma grunted her reaction and wrapped her arms around Regina's waist.
"Okay, fine," Emma bit her lower lip "Maybe I had a thought or two about us making out inside that tent"
Regina smiled at Emma and closed the short distance between them, pressing her lips against Emma's.
When she pulled away, Emma was smiling with her eyes still closed and Regina felt her heart dance the sweetest of songs inside her chest.
Her heart, her body, and her soul all wanted the same thing.
Regina closed the distance between them again and kissed Emma's jaw, lips, and cheek before pressing her lips on Emma's ear.
"Make love to me," Regina whispered.
Regina felt Emma's whole body shiver again and the hairs on her skin stood up as her fingers dug into Regina's skin.
Emma locked eyes with Regina, before moving one hand from Regina's waist to Regina's cheek, cherishing the skin there.
"Are you sure?" Emma asked, her eyes never leaving Regina's.
Regina smiled at Emma and covered Emma's hand on her cheek with her own, gently pulling down and interwinding their fingers together.
"I am," Regina said softly "Make love to me, Emma"
Emma leaned forward and captured Regina's lips in a kiss, whispering always while they were still kissing.
Regina smiled and pulled away from Emma, squeezing her hand before turning her back to Emma, and pulling her to the tent.
At each click of her heels against the ground, Regina felt her whole body burn in anticipation.
The desire was running wild inside Regina's veins and she wanted nothing more than to surrender to this feeling of pure ecstasy.
Regina sat down on the edge of the bed and Emma kneeled in front of her. Regina pulled Emma to her, hungrily devouring her lips as Emma did the same with hers.
Their kiss and tongues and breaths were a combination of lust and tenderness that made Regina's heart warm and her panties soak.
Emma broke the kiss first by pulling Regina's lower lip with her teeth and pressing their forehead together again.
Regina pushed Emma away gently and lifted her leg, pressing her heel against Emma's shirt.
Emma locked eyes with Regina, her breath heavy and her eyes burning with a desire that Regina knew mirrored her own.
Emma moved her hands to Regina's leg, tracing her mid finger on Regina's exposed shin before gently removing her heel.
Regina's breath was accelerating, her chest moving up and down rapidly as Emma reached for her other leg, removing her other heel without ever breaking eye contact with her.
Regina pushed her body back on the bed and turned around, supporting herself on her elbows, offering her back to Emma.
"Take off my dress," Regina whispered.
Emma moved behind Regina, pressing her front against Regina's back. Regina let out a breathless moan as Emma pressed a kiss against her cheek and then pushed her short hair up, pressing another kiss against her neck.
Emma ran her hand from Regina's neck down to the zipper, pulling it torturously slowly, pressing a kiss to every inch of exposed skin.
Regina moaned and wiggled under Emma at every contact of her lips on her burning skin, at every trace of her digits down her back.
Regina's whole body was burning and all she wanted was to be consumed by the flames that were Emma Swan.
When Emma reached the end of the zipper, she pressed a kiss on Regina's lower back, right above her underwear.
Regina turned around on the bed again, facing Emma who was nestled between her legs now.
Regina locked eyes with Emma and pulled the sleeve of her dress down one shoulder and then the other, the night breeze cooling her skin.
Emma swallowed dry and moved up to Regina, pulling her dress down her body, her eyes devouring every inch of her skin.
Regina felt goosebumps all over.
When the whole fabric was off her body, Emma stood in front of Regina, breathing fast and eyes ravaging her body.
Regina had never felt so exposed as she felt now under Emma's hungry gaze.
And never in her life had she felt so desired.
"You are stunning," Emma said panting.
Regina smiled shyly at Emma and bit her lower lip.
"Come here," Regina whispered.
"In a second," Emma said and roamed her eyes all over Regina's body again.
And then she smiled at her, that beautiful cocky smile that made Regina's underwear soak again.
Emma moved her hands to her blouse, unbuttoning the first button. Regina's eyes locked on Emma's fingers, opening one button and then the other and then the other until Emma was pushing the blouse down her shoulder, exposing her soft pale skin dotted with coffee spots.
And a black lacy bra that covered generous breasts.
Regina couldn't wait to explore every inch of Emma's skin with her own tongue.
Regina swallowed dry and gasped for air as Emma's hands landed on her belt, pushing it open.
Emma threw the belt on the floor and then bent down to remove her boots, her pants following next.
And there Emma was, in matching black lacy underwear in front of Regina.
So uniquely perfect.
So stunningly beautiful.
Regina devoured Emma with her eyes, absorbing every inch of the woman in front of her.
"Emma," Regina breathed out "You are exquisite"
It was Emma who smiled shyly at Regina now, making her heart skip a beat.
"Come here," Regina demanded "Come closer"
Emma let out a moan and crawled on top of Regina, sitting on her lap.
She captured Regina's lips in a kiss, devouring her mouth as Regina's hands and nails ran down Emma's back, tracing every bone of her spine and marking her back with her nails.
Emma moved her lips to Regina's chin and Regina threw her head back offering more and more of herself to Emma's lips and tongue and teeth. Emma licked the side of Regina's neck and kissed her down, running her tongue over Regina's collarbone and putting her hand on the back of Regina's neck to hold her in place as Regina fell more and more gasping for air.
"Emma," Regina whispered breathlessly.
Emma squeezed Regina's neck lightly, bringing Regina's head back to her and capturing her lips in a kiss, their bodies pressed together, moving together as one and hands exploring every inch of skin.
Regina had never felt so alive before.
Never before her body was so awakened, never before her skin craved a touch.
Emma lowered the hand on Regina's neck as she lifted the one on her waist, stopping right above her bra, unhooking it.
Emma broke the kiss and pulled Regina's bra down her shoulders, exposing the firm flash and hard nipples.
Regina breathed fast as Emma admired her breast. Emma traced two-digit from Regina's collar bone to the space between her breasts and then around one and then the other.
"You are perfect," Emma whispered before squeezing both breasts with force.
Regina threw her head back again, moaning as Emma played with her nipples between her fingers while her tongue assaulted her neck.
Regina let her body fall down on the bed, as Emma gently moved her hands to her neck and waist, lying Regina down.
"Regina, oh my God," Emma moaned breathless, watching Regina under her "I want all of you"
"Then take me," Regina said between gasps "Take all of me, Emma"
Emma kissed Regina desperate, sucking her lips and tongue while her hand ran down her body.
Emma lowered her mouth down to Regina's lips and collarbone before closing on Regina's right breast, circling her tongue around her nipple.
Regina turned her head on the pillow, wiggling under Emma as a wonderful burning sensation build higher and higher down her stomach.
Emma licked her way to Regina's other breast, sucking the firm flesh in her mouth. Regina's back arched on the mattress, willing Emma to take more and more of herself inside her mouth.
Emma sucked and licked Regina's nipple while her other hand played with her other breast, flicking the hard nipple between her fingers.
It was the most wonderful kind of torture Regina have ever felt in her life.
Emma flicked her tongue over Regina's erect nipple, sending a wave of pleasure and wetness right down her center.
She could barely breathe.
Every stroke of Emma's tongue on her skin made Regina's stomach muscles clench and her back arch, the air barely entering her lungs.
Regina moaned when Emma closed her mouth over her nipple again, sucking the flash with force.
She could barely recognize the sounds escaping her lips.
They were so visceral, like something coming from deep inside of her that she had kept it locked for far too many years.
And was only now releasing it.
Setting it free.
Emma moved her lips down Regina's body, kissing the line on her abdomen while tracing the skin with her fingertips.
Regina's flesh responded to every kiss, every trace, every lick.
Emma moved her lips lower and lower and lower, closer to her center where Regina was burning and hurting in a way that sent pleasure to every cell of her body.
Regina could hardly keep her body still on the bed anymore, she wanted, she needed Emma to touch her lower, to touch her between her legs to release that pleasure that had been building inside of her since the first time she laid eyes on the blonde woman.
"Emma, please," Regina begged breathlessly, burying her face in the pillow "Please"
Emma smiled against her skin and Regina wanted to be mad at her, mad at her for making her beg.
But she needed Emma, she needed Emma more than she needed air, she needed Emma to touch her, to take her, all of her, and make it hers.
Emma settled between Regina's legs and hooked her fingers in the sides of Regina's panties.
And then she stopped.
Regina was almost desperate when she pushed her body on her elbows and looked at Emma.
And what she saw nearly made her want to cry.
Emma looked at her lovingly, asking without saying anything for permission to remove her panties.
Even in the heat of everything, Emma wanted to give Regina a choice.
But her choice was made, her choice was made the second she succumbed to what she was feeling for Emma.
Perhaps even before that.
Regina nodded her consent to Emma, and Emma smiled beautifully at her, pulling that last barrier between them down Regina's legs.
Emma lifted Regina's left leg to her lips and kissed her ankle then moved her kisses up Regina's shin and then inner thigh, rubbing her cheeks there.
Regina felt herself getting wetter and wetter, her clit arching painfully as a pool of wetness formed between her legs.
Emma adjusted herself between Regina's legs and moistened her lips while looking at her center.
Regina could have come just for that.
Emma looked at Regina and smiled before lowering herself to her center, pressing her tongue firmly inside of her and licking.
Regina let her whole body fall on the mattress again, releasing a grotto moan from deep within her throat.
Emma licked her again before using her fingers to part Regina's folds and open her more to her.
"You taste so good," Emma said inside her pussy, Emma's hot breath vibrating inside of her.
"Emma," Regina moaned while wiggling on the bed.
She could hardly stay still.
Emma licked her again and then invaded her with her tongue, moving inside.
Regina arched her back on the mattress and fisted the sheets as waves and waves and waves of pleasure built inside of her.
Emma moved her fingers to Regina's clit, flicking and rolling the sensitive bundle between her fingers.
Regina was gone.
Her mind was clear of any thought as she let herself surrender to Emma, every inch of her body responding to her as if it recognize Emma's touch.
The waves of pleasures grew higher and higher inside of her, begging to be released, begging Regina to explode and finally be free.
Emma curled her tongue inside Regina, touching a particular spot inside of her, and Regina's toes curled on Emma's back.
It was Emma.
It was Emma, it had always been Emma, her touch, her voice, her scent, it had all belonged to Regina since the day they met, it was something old that existed before the world was even forged and that was whispering in her hear that she had found her home, her partner, her true love.
Regina fisted the sheets again, tears forming behind her eyes as she walked to the edge of the cliff, and without even hesitating, she closed her eyes and let herself jump as her orgasm exploded inside of her and consumed her whole.
Regina didn't know how long had passed when she opened her eyes again.
One second, she was feeling her whole body explode in the most amazing orgasm she has ever had in her life and on the other, Emma was laid by her side, running her fingers gently up and down her arm.
Regina could still feel the aftershocks of the orgasm running through her body.
She could still feel her juices pouring out of her.
Regina grunted and swallowed dry, her throat slightly dry.
"Hey," Emma kissed the corner of her mouth "Welcome back"
Regina turned to look at Emma who was supporting her head on her elbow, smiling lazily at Regina.
"Hi," Regina smiled back and reached for Emma's cheek, cherishing the skin there.
Emma closed her eyes and moaned lightly at the touch, closing her eyes and turning her head to kiss Regina's palm.
"Are you okay?" Emma asked, looking at Regina.
"More than that," Regina smiled.
"No regrets?" Emma asked, a silver line shining with fear, burning behind her eyes.
Regina felt her heart clench painfully at that.
Regina moved closer to Emma and pressed her lips softly against hers.
Emma moaned content at the gesture and Regina smiled when she grunted her protest when Regina pulled away.
"I only have one regret, Emma," Regina said, smiling devilishly.
"And what is that?" Emma asked, looking at Regina.
"That I haven't made you come yet," Regina said, moving on top of Emma.
Emma had claimed her body and soul as hers.
It was only fair that Regina now claimed what she knew was rightful hers.
There is a soundtrack for their lovemaking, it's a song that I listened to quite a lot while I was writing this particular chapter.
The song is "The Curse" by Agner Obel in case anyone wants to check it out or even re-read the chapter while listening to it.
