"Why are you grinning?" Sirius asked as Minerva McGonagall McGregor swept into the Ministry building for the most recent Wizengamot session. "You are planning something amazing and haven't approached me to help you!"

Minerva grinned widely at the look on Sirius Black's face. "Wait and see Lord Black," she answered mischievously as she looped her arm through his offered one and headed to the designated meeting place.

Sirius shook his head in amusement before calming his facial features and becoming the esteemed Lord Black. He had worked hard the past couple of years to become a pillar of Magical Britain. He had decided to push the Black Family from the darkness and madness that had controlled them for generations to the being a family that wants to see Magical Britain to flourish.

Black Family members were given a new standard of expectations to live by or they were punished or removed from the family. While Andromeda quickly became the example to lead by, Walburga was essentially placed on House arrest with monitoring charms placed on all of her communications with others.

Narcissa had remained a part of the Black Family but was quickly informed pureblood nonsense was no longer allowed. She was given an option to conform to the new standards or be chucked out of the family. Narcissa had suprisingly introduced Magical Britain to the most fashion forward muggle designers and offered wizarding custom lessons to new heirs if their magical guardians needed assistance. Another suprise had been her desire to send Draco to muggle school. He was currently having lessions with his Uncle Ted Tonks on the muggle world and would start Kindergarten at the same school his cousin Nymphadora had went to when he turned 5 years old.

Minerva took the Potter Family seat gracefully as she watched the chamber fill up quickly. She nodded her head politely to others as they greeted her. She had used the Potter and Founders' votes to help pass many votes mainly regarding protecting children and their finances. She had been most proud of banning betrothal contracts until the youngest sat their Owls. Granted, she would have rather seen them banned altogether but was realistic enough to realize the more traditional purebloods would balk on that.

Albus opened the session and gave the floor to one of the pureblood bigots. She had learned that he planned to introduce a werewolf registry in order to protect the werewolf community or at least he claimed. Minerva had planned to counter the registry with her own proposal. She listened as the pureblood Lord spoke of how dangerous the werewolf community was during the full moon and how the werewolf registry would safeguard everyone. She waited until the man sat down and asked to speak.

Minerva rose confidently as she picked up a stack of parchment and made her way to the floor. She handed the stack to Albus to have them distributed. "That parchment you just received is a report on known werewolves and their progress in the last two years," she informed the group. "Potter Industries have 27 werewolves in employment and have monitored their behavior unbeknownst to anyone. We provide Wolvesbane to them, free of charge, during each full moon and have never had an issue."

Gasps of shock and outrage sounded from the more traditional purebloods but she ignored them and continued on. "My children's tutor is a known werewolf and he is around them more than anyone other than my husband and myself," she revealed. "My children love him and have learned so much from him. His lycanthropy doesn't define him nor his ability to be a productive member of society. In the report you have is a detailed accounting of werewolf behaviors of those on wolvesbane as opposed to those who refrain from wolvesbane. That report shows with wolvesbane known werewolves can live a normal life which includes employment and education. I am opposed to the werewolf registry and would like to propose werewolves are declassified as magical creatures as long as they are taking wolvesbane."

"Who will pay for the wolvesbane?"

"How will the Ministry keep track of who routinely takes wolvesbane?"

Minerva smiled at the agitated members of the Wizengamot before calmly answering, "The Ministry can expand the Muggle Liaison Department to include the Werewolf Community. As to who will pay for the Wolvesbane, House Potter will donate 1,000 galleons towards purchase of Wolvesbane."

"House Black will donate double that amount and will pay the first 3 years salary for the new werewolf community liaison position if this law passes," Sirius Black quickly added.

"House Malfoy will donate a batch of Wolvesbane from each of our potioneers monthly to the werewolf community for the first 3 years," Narcissa Malfoy said as regent for her son until he turned 17 years old.

Albus announced the vote for the werewolf registry which was voted down quickly. A vote for the werewolf community declassification as magical creatures while on wolvesbane passed barely and the newly established werewolf community liaison position was approved.

Minerva smiled widely and winked at Sirius. He walked to her and bowed slightly when the session ended. "I am not worthy of your greatest," he teased.

Minerva grinned, thumped him on the back of the head before calling him a git. "Let's go inform Remus of the news and ask him to be the first one in line for his wolvesbane next month," she said happily.

Sirius just smiled as he accompanied his mentor out of the Ministry of Magic.

"How did you manage that?" Remus asked in disbelief. "Purebloods hate werewolves."
"The lovely Regent Potter received inside reports of a werewolf registry and counteracted it," Sirius said. "She really does outclass us on any given day."
Remus smiled at his former teacher gratefully. "Thank you," he whispered emotionally.
Minerva rolled her eyes before responding, "Don't thank me until we find a cure. Potter Industries is working on it using Lily's research. She had an entire box of research in their vault and I felt she would want others to pick up where she left off." With that said, she stood and moved towards her children.
"She's one hell of a witch," Sirius breathed to his bestfriend.
"I'm grateful she manages to put up with a mangy mutt and werewolf," Remus added. "We owe her a really nice birthday gift." Sirius could only nod his agreement.
