Chapter 9: Shattered
It's been three days since Issei killed Dohnaseek, three days ever since Entropy fully covered the town with a tracking barrier. Ever since Entropy finished the barrier he spotted at least 50 new supernaturals, which slightly worried Issei, but Entropy assured him that he shouldn't worry and be ready for anything.
Standing up, he stretched and popped his bones for a much-needed break since he has been sitting down for days. Oh, did he mention that ever since he got home he has been sitting down in a trance like state? No food, no water, no movement, just sitting there ready to spring into action. Kuzuryu was getting worried, but Entropy told her to fuck off when she entered his room asking for him, making her hiss like a snake and retreat to her room.
He originally planned to keep this going to see his limit, but the sensation of interacting with the world around him broke that experiment.
Looking at the time, he saw that it was around noon. He then felt his phone vibrate and saw an unknown number. Deciding to answer, he put the phone on speaker.
"Hello?"
"I-Issei, it's me, Asia. I-I got some spare time, and I wondered if y-you can show me around town."
"No problem, where can I pick you up."?
"The park would be nice, I'm already on my way, can you get here in 5 minutes?"
"Sure I'll be there, it's a date then."
"W-W-W-W-WHAT!" Asia squealed loudly through the phone.
Issei laughed and hung up on the phone. Walking out, he greeted Kuzuryu by hugging her from behind and telling her that he'll be out. Instead of walking or taking Phantom, he went to his garage.
He honestly forgot about the cars Entropy made{Stole} for him. He only drove once and that was with the BMW. "Alright, let's take the lambo out for a spin."
Hopping in, he started the car as the garage door opened. 'Ok Issei this is your second time driving and first time driving a sports car. Let's take this easy.
Issei was driving like a madman. He drove off the street, ran red lights, went well over the speed limit, and drove so close to people that at first glance you might think he hit them.
"What the hell is that driver thinking!", A pedestrian yelled.
(Meanwhile, in Issei's car)
Music blared.
"CAN I PUT MY BALLS IN YO JAWS!?"

Now on a clear path with few cars, Issei increased his speed to well over 100 mph. On the side of the street was a van that was pulled over by an attractive blonde female cop.
Taking off her glasses and seductively put them in her mouth, she spoke in a sultry voice. "Do you kids have any idea how fast you were going."
Immediately as she said that, a car that was blasting music zoomed by so fast that it was a blur to the eye and dust was kicked up. The only discernible thing that could be said was the music, which the only lyric they could hear was "Started from the bottom now we way up."
Pulling up to the park entrance, he spotted Asia. Opening the door and cheerfully motioning Asia to get in, she slowly got into the low profile sports car.
"Hungry?" Asia nodded shyly.
Getting back on the street, Issie spoke. "I know a burger joint not far from here in a plaza. Ever had a burger before?"
Asia shook her head, "No, from where I from we never had junk food, let alone a burger." She pushed her fingertips together. "Umm Issei when you said this was a date d-did you mean it?"
Issei face sudden turned serious, "Of course I did. Who wouldn't want to take a beautiful girl like you out for good time?" Issei turned to her, "Unless you feel uncomfortable with that."
"N-no. In fact, I feel honored… no one has ever taken me out on a date before. And if it's with you, then I'm even more fine with that."
(Mall)
Issei smiled as they pulled up into the plaza parking lot, ignoring the stares of people around them, they proceeded to the burger joint.
Issei heard Entropy grunt and mumble about something. {I'll be right back Issei, I got to take care of some… business}
A black shadow shot from behind Issei and into the shadow of a young man passing by. Moving so fast that the human eye couldn't catch it, he formed into an identical copy of the person whose shadow he just entered.
Issei watched as Entropy ran towards what looks like a pizza establishment and seeing the artificial body kick the door open and charge in, he heard Entropy yell, "I'M HERE FOR THAT BONELESS PIZZA!"
He then heard another young man yell, "NOT YOU! GET THE FUCK OUT!"
Grabbing Asia by her hand, he hurried her inside the fast food establishment. After ordering their food, they had a talk while they ate.
"So you never had food like this?" Issei said, taking a considerable bite out of his burger.
"No… and I've never seen someone eat like that." Picking up her burger, she tried to copy Issei and took a big, albeit smaller, bite out of her burger. Chewing it and swallowing, her eyes lit up. "Delicious!", she declared.
Issei laughed at her innocence before turning serious. "Say Asia, sounds like you never had much fun from where you're from. Care to elaborate?"
Asia's faced dropped when he asked that. "I was abandoned by my parents when I was born… they left me in front of a church in a small rural town that was very religious. From a young age, I was taught the gospel.
She put her burger down. "I've told you about my gear, but I never told you about when I learned I got it. When I was eight years old there was an injured puppy and was very close to death and I prayed… that's when I discovered my powers."
"They took me to a larger church in Italy and instructed me to heal the wounded and sick. People all over the world came for my blessing. I was happy that I could save so many people, but I have never gotten the chance to explore and interact with the world. Only the church."
"However, my life turned upside down when I saved a man with wings of a bat injured on the ground." Issei's eyes lightly dimmed. He could guess what happened next.
"Well forget that. Asia. I'm going to show you the best day of your life." He let out his hand, "Not a day in the church, but a day in this normal world."
Asia blushed and with tears in her eyes she accepted it. "O-Ok."
For the next couple of hours, the two enjoyed themselves with games and food. Walking out the arcade, Asia had one hand intertwined with Issei's and the other holding a red dragon plush. Unfortunately, for Asia, she noted the time and told Issei she has to go and asked could he take her back to the park.
They were walking towards the exit when Issei heard a yell in his head. {ISSEI! GET IN THE FUCKING CAR LET'S GO!}
[The fuck are you doing!?] Ddraig yelled.
Issei obeying the order of Entropy lifted Asia bridal style, and sprinted to his car. Opening the passenger door, he sat Asia down gently and got into the driver's seat.
Starting the car and slowly backing out, he demanded answers, "Entropy, what the hell did you do?"
{I got what I ordered}
From the entrance of the plaza, Issei could see the temporary body of Entropy holding 15 boxes of pizza while running from over 50 mall police officers.
"ENTROPY WHAT THE FUCK!" Issei yelled, startling Asia. Entropy hopped on top of the car and strapped the pizza to the roof. He smacked the roof of the car like a cowboy smacking a horse. {Alright let's go!}
Multiple police cars shot from around the corner, "Oh for fucks sake!" Issei put the pedal to the metal and took off at blazing speeds. "Sorry Asia but I have an idiot friend on my back that needs some illegal assistance. I'll drop you off at the park.
Issei proceeded to have a 20-minute-high speed chase across town. Almost getting hit 20 times, almost got caught 4 times, and certainly caused bodily harm in the process. After losing them, Issei sped to the park and slid into a parking spot, sending Entropy flying off into the air.
Issei looked at Asia sheepishly who's eyes were covered by her bangs, "Hehe sorry about that Asia. I hope this didn't ruin the experience for you..."
"Ruin it?...", she suddenly shot up and grabbed Issei's arm, "I LOVED IT!" Asia's light green eyes seemed to glow with a madness.
"This has been the best day of my life!" Taking in a few deep breaths, she calmed down and looked back up at Issei. "Thank you, Issei, for giving me something I never thought I could have." She gave Issei the sweetest smile he'd ever seen.
"No problem Asia, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day." She giggled before getting out of the car. She watched as Issei speed off, holding on to her plush tightly, she brought it up to her heart.
"God bless you Issei…", black feathers fell from the sky as a female figure appeared behind her.
Driving back home a black shadowy ball slid through the window and into his arm making it glow a slight purple color.
"So Entropy, what the fuck was that?"
{I tied up loose ends. And look on the bright side, I got us food for the next couple of days}
Issei shook his head and continued to drive home. "Tomorrow's another day."
(Next day: 9:00 PM)
Something woke Issei up. It was a horrible, gut-wrenching feeling. He knew what his instincts told him. Shit was about to go down tonight. He got up and put on an outfit. Black over shirt with a white undershirt, black pants, socks, and shoes, with a thin smooth black jacket to finish it off.
Walking out the door he opened his draconic wings hissing as bones cracked with protest. He really needed to fly more now that he thought about it. Taking off into the night sky, he b-lined straight for Kuoh Academy and arrived in no less than a minute which surprised himself. "I really need to test my limits one day." De-summoning his wings, he free fell until he touched down at the window. Looking inside, he saw Koneko looking at him while eating cookies.
"Heyyy *knocks* let me-let me in!" Knocking once more, he watched as Issei opened the window. Climbing in, he was about to thank her until a little hand that was so strong that it caught him off guard pushed him right back through the window.
"Wait-wait KYAAA" With a girlish scream, Issei fell on his ass.
"Come in like a normal person, baka." She said slamming the window close and locking it. Releasing a sigh, he went in like 'a normal person' and knocked. With the door opening, the Rias's peerage was in front of him having a good laugh. Deciding that banter was undeserved, he spoke his intentions in a serious tone. "I'm going in tonight. You all can join in, say ten minutes."
The peerage instantly wore a serious expression as well, although not nearly as serious as Issei was. Nodding to them, he shot out the building on foot. Gunning for the church at great speeds and with one big leap, he launched himself into the air and touch down at the church. With a loud thump cracking the ground underneath him.
Wasting no time, he obliterated the doors with a single kick only to find himself in front of dozens of what looked like normal people to him. {They aren't normal Issei, these are rouge exorcist, I've briefly went over them when we were in Nusquam, but they are most effective against monsters, demons, devils, and Fallen. They should be of no concern…. however,} Issei automatically looked at one that he knew was special. A young man with short white hair and gleaming red eyes that reeked of insanity. His face turned from being surprised to crazed as he laughed maniacally, tongue hanging out of his mouth and drool running down his chin.
{That man has an… interesting sword}
[An Excalibur] Ddraig mused. Suddenly, the young man stopped laughing and started speaking.
'Observe.' Issei spoke in his mind.

Special Abilities:
Rapidly, Nightmare, Transparency, Mimic
It's like a sword, but it's made of other swords that has been fused to make a single sword. It's also holy, so that's cool.
"I don't know who the FUCK you are breaking in here like that, but I don't care hahaha, I'm just going to cut you piece by piece hehe."
He started giggling but stopped and coughed in his hand. "My name is Freed Sellzen and I belong to a certain exorcist organization. I was part of the church but fuck that shit. Since you're going to die soon, don't tell me your name, I honestly don't want to remember it."
Raising the sword, a smirk formed on his face. "You see I've teamed up with a big fallen angel, like very big, and he gave me this sword that's made of many swords that's been fused into one sword and I can't wait to test it out. He had to steal one from this exorcist bitch though, but yadayadayada LET'S FIGHT BITCH HAHAHAHAHAHA." The rouge exorcist, armed with swords made of lights and guns and charged.
Freed pulled out his own gun and shot at Issei expecting to end this quickly, but it harmlessly bounced off Entropy's gauntlet. Two unlucky exorcist paid no mind to the new feature, nor did they notice the room darkening and the ground turning black. Just as they were about to swing their light swords, Issie spoke.
"Igris, Discord." Both soldiers appeared before him in a haze of darkness ready to kill. Igris instantly swung his sword, slicing the poor exorcist in half as blood shot out his body like a hose staining the ground crimson. Likewise, Discord grabbed the other exorcist by the face and instantly crushed it, spilling brain matter out of the eyes and mouth. He dropped him unceremoniously on the ground with a splat.
Freed grinded his teeth and with a sneer he raged, "Don't just stand there dipshits! Kill them!", he ordered. They all screamed a war cry and rushed the trio.
Issei didn't even need to give a command as they charged to meet them head on. "Keep one of them alive." Issei called out.
Igris sped up and swiped four in half before moving on to take on his group of victims. He was surrounded by at least 20 of them. Their numbers didn't sway Igris at all as he faced far greater numbers of tougher enemies. He could see the inexperience in their stance and the fact that they aren't taking advantage of their long-range weapons and allowed him to close the gap.
He could also sense the fear radiating from them. Unfortunately, for them, all sense of apathy has left the body as a new one was taken with the purpose to serve and protect the monarch which he will do with joy in his nonexistent heart. Red eyes beamed at his enemies as he started his part of the slaughter.
Switching over to Discord, he took on a group himself. In contrast to Igris, Discord was a little more blood thirsty, already ripping through the numbers of the exorcist, pulling off limbs and throwing them haphazardly and enjoying the screams of his victims.
Moving on to Issei he summoned his blood blade and parried Freed's Excalibur. "Oh yeah! I can't wait to cut you up into ribbons, hahahahah-ACK" He stopped laughing as he felt a phantom sensation around his throat.

Issei just successfully tested an idea he had about Dominator's Touch. What if he manipulated the surrounding air? So many applications could be used, but one he is using now is using it like telekinesis. However, it does take an absurd amount of concentration to maintain. Deciding to end things now, he crushed the throat of Freed, ending the story of the psychotic bastard.
"Well, that was easy."
Picking up the sword, he threw it over his shoulder towards a certain shadow. "Hey Discord! Catch!" Looking up, the shadow grabbed the sword and started hacking away killing off his group, slamming the blade on the spine of the next exorcist.
Looking back over to Igris, Issei saw the same thing, albeit more clean.
"And then there were two." The last two exorcists were huddled together. One of them feel to his knees begging not to be killed while the other held on to his light sword so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
"Oi. I said leave ONE alive." Igris and Discord looked at each other for what seemed like a couple of minutes which caused Issei to raise his eyebrow.
They couldn't talk, but he faintly felt what they were discussing. 'Are they actually arguing which one of them should kill.' He's not going to lie. It's entertaining.
Igris seemed to let out a sigh. Slumping his shoulders, he motioned for Discord to go ahead. Discord seemed to light up as he took his holy sword and stab the remaining exorcist.
"So where are they?"
"D-d-d-down st-t-airs." Issei nodded as Igris cleanly swiped his head off.
Releasing a sigh, he called the two back and moved on down some stairs until he reached a door. Caving in said door to witness a horrid sight.
Upon looking inside, he saw her, looking like she was only clothed in nothing but a plain white robe-like cloth to cover her, chained to a cross that was laid on an alter. Around said alter were three fallen angels, but he paid them no mind.
He didn't like how she looked unconscious, almost like she was dead.
He felt his stomach had sunken to a bottomless pit upon the realization. Agony rose within his chest, and he-

Time seemed to slow around Issei as he felt his pupils dilate. Eyes immediately darting to the perpetrators, locking on the 3 fallen angels who were filled with shock with dread starting to form on her face.
"Raynare... you lied to me, you betrayed me." Issei droned with an empty tone.
"Issei let me explain!" She cried.
"I SAVED YOU FROM THE DEVILS! I LET YOU IN MY HOME! AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!? LYING TO ME AND KILLING A FRIEND IN THE PROCESS!"
"Please just let me-"
"We watched Drag So Ball. I slapped your ass dammit. I know that wasn't the right thing to say, but it was fucking amazing. All of that was just a lie, huh? WAS IT!?"

Issei ignored the system, instead focusing on the figures in front of him.
"Raynare who the hell is this!?"
"And why the hell did you spend a night at his house and didn't invite us!?"

Before Issei could continue, he felt himself blackout, his limp body falling to the ground.
"Uhh… is he dead?" Raynare quickly rushed down to his side. Grabbing his head and laying it gently on her lap, slowly caressing his face, she let out a frustrated sigh. "Things weren't supposed to be this way."
"So what do we do now? We got the gear, but what are we going to do with him?" Kalawarna questioned.
"He's handsome, I say we keep him, hehehe." Mittelt asked, which she got a hiss as an answer.
"Oh Issie." Raynare went to pat his head again, but a hand crackling with some sort of black energy intercepted her.
Sudden dread crept into her mind as the aura of death and helplessness started to fill the area
A cruel laugh rang through the deserted church, she looked around frantically, the energy had not yet settled, but she felt eyes were upon her, "Issei? Issei isn't home...you're alone with me."
"Hmm, what a troublesome situation we have here" Issei's body jerked for a second and his head lifted like a zombie and gazing at her.
Pitch-black eyes with red wired pupils stared back at her before a wild smile took the face of the man.
Letting go of her arm for a second, he shot up to his feet and grabbed a hold of her neck taking the breath out of her. Lifting her up in the air, she clawed at his arm to let her go.
"Well this is new…. nice rack. Fuck why is that the first thing I think of. And more importantly, why is this feeling of disgust rising."
"Wait *caugh* are you saying my tits are disgusting?!"
This caused the body of Issei to look at her with surprise. "No your tits are fine, it's just that he… grrr wait a second." He growled, dropping Raynare letting her get the air she much needed.
Putting his hands on his temples and closing his eyes, he spoke. "Ugh, I can't believe I have to do this. Ok guys don't move, I'm going in the vault of his mind.", the body mumbled.

With a satisfied grunt, Entropy opened Issei's eyes. "There that's better, now…", glancing at the fallen angels in front of him, causing a wicked grin to form on the boy's mouth. "What am I going to do with you lot."
Mittelt flinched at the behavior of this boy, whose body was obviously possessed. "Who are you?"
"I should say how I'm the beginning and the end and all that jazz.", The body drawled. "But I won't. I am Entropy. Nothing more, nothing less."
"As you all may know, we have a conundrum here." He pointed at Raynare. "You have created quite a shitshow, missy. You've killed the friend of Issei, the gentleman who saved you from the devils, and let you stay at our humble abode instead of this… dump." Squinting his eyes at the disorderly church that now started to reek of death.
"And all of this for what? Power? Fame? Fortune? Recognition? I think we both know how your life was back at the Grigori." Raynare turned away at this.
"And you two," motioning at Kalawarna and Mittelt, "Meh, I guess you two were just along for the ride. You guys haven't done anything, but I know we would've traded blows if Issei didn't pass out. You both are wise not to do so."
Blood started to seep from the entrance of the cellar, "Or you would've ended up like your male fallen and rouge exorcist friends." A flare of an aura of death suddenly swept the room, bringing in a sudden chill.
"Normally, I would kill you, let Issei kill you, or let the devils kill you. Or we all kill you in no particular order. But,"

Lifting their bodies into the air, he made them bend over and spun them around so their rears could face him. Much to their disdain.
'Yeah, Issei will certainly enjoy this. Hehehe' Entropy let out a perverted chuckle.
Dropping them down on the ground, he continued, "I feel like I could reform you all into something better." He looked at them with a lighthearted grin.
"You all want fame, fortune, power, protection, and a good dick," Raynare blushed while Kalawarna and Mittelt looked up in curiosity, "So ally with the Shadow Monarch as hunters."
"Who's the Shadow Monarch?", asked Raynare. The body of Issei slagged a little when it started to float.
"This boy is the Shadow Monarch, the King Of The Dead." Entropy said pointed to himself. The wall behind Issei's back was facing suddenly turned black, intensifying the darkness of the room. "This," pointing behind him. "Is the Abyss or the Shadow Realm, and this," eyes and faces appeared from the depths of the darkness, "Is the Immortal Army, the shadow soldiers."
"So, how about this.", he summoned the abyss back into his shadow. "You can either come with me and join us and hunt. Or I can leave, where you guys either escape or be hunted by the devils, which will be upon us soon." He was right, even they could feel the devils approaching the church.
"So what will it be?"
Raynare instantly spoke up. "I'll join, and hopefully Issei will forgive me. I-I'll beg if I have too." Entropy nodded and looked to the other two.
Mittelt sighed, "Well I prefer not to be killed by the devils, and it's not like I had an exciting life back at the Grigori, so I guess I can join. Hell, maybe it'll be fun."
Kalawarna stood up and agreed with her fellow fallen.
Entropy chuckled, "Looks like we have a deal." All three fallen bodies lit up. "I'm sending you all to our home." Entropy laughed from remembering something. "Oh, by the way, there is a dragon god there, so don't piss her off." Raynare gasped while Mittelt and Kalawarna shocked and scared expressions to that brought great joy to the dragon.
"Oh, and Raynare, I'm taking that ring." In a flash, they were gone.
"Their stories have been altered, but it will be a shame to alter it and leave out you." Entropy walked to the bloodied alter, which had Asia's dead body upon it. Slipping the ring on her finger, he felt the devils enter the church. "Well Issei it's time for you to return." Issei's body dropped into a position that made it look like a person weeping over the casket of a loved one.
Issei awoke to the sound of feet thumping down the stairs. Looking down, he saw the still cold body of Asia. Memories started to flood back of what led up to this. The pain and anguish come back full force. He was about to ask Entropy what happened, but somebody beat him to it.
"Issei, what happened here." The voice of Rias called out.
He didn't even move, "I failed, that's what happened." He said bluntly, motioning to the body in front of him. "I was…. too late. If I only came a bit earlier, then…"
Rias put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I can save her Issei." This caused Issei to give her a teary-eyed look at that revelation.
"How?"
She reached in her pocket and grabbed what look like a chest piece.
"This is an evil piece, a Bishop to be exact, devils use these pieces to create servants in that piece holder's peerage."
Rias walked over to Asia and placed the piece on her chest
"We can use these pieces to reincarnate those who've recently died into devils." A red magic circle appeared under her. "I will now begin the ritual." Issei nodded in agreement.
"Say Issei," Akeno spoke to him, "Can I call you that?"
Issei slumped his shoulders, "Sure, go ahead."
"What happened here." She asked.
Issei sighed as he started his tale. "I met her while I was wondering the park. She asked me to show her around and the location of the church."
"I knew something was up when she mentioned it, this church has been abandoned for years." Gesturing at the surrounding area.
"I had a suspicion that something was wrong here ever since the fallen angels came in town. One challenged me and spilled their plan. I should've made a move then and there, but I waited until the time felt right, the time when all of them was gathered here. It was like something was keeping me from coming..."
"I busted through the front door, dealt with the exorcist and well you know the rest."
"It must have been a hard fight considering how many exorcist were here." Kiba spoke, looking at the corpses.
"Nah it was easy, if only I came three, maybe even one minute early then maybe I could've saved her." Kiba and Koneko's eyes widen at his claim.
Akeno put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't blame yourself for this, Issei, blame the ones responsible."
"What happened to them anyway?" Koneko asked with some emotion that Issei never heard from her.
Issei's pupils shrunk at that question." I-I don't know, I must have blacked out from seeing her body and woke up they were gone."
{They're at the house}
'What! Why!?'
{Because the girl is genuinely sorry, which is a rarity, the other two are innocent. Just wrong place, wrong time. Raynare roped them in with a promise of power, change, and prosperity.}
'I kind of see that, but is that an excuse?'
{But I promised the same to you, have I not? There are good and bad sides in the world, everything else is a monochrome, black and white. Enemies can turn into friends and vice versa. This won't be the last instance. I will ensure their usefulness won't be extinguished, as the age of hunters will soon be among us}
Issei said nothing.
"Issei are you alright?" Akeno asked with concern.
"Yeah, I most of spaced out."
A bright crimson light shook away their attention from each other as Rias had completed her ritual. Shortly later, he saw Asia blinking back to life, and sat up as she looked at Rias.
"Am I getting kidnapped again…?"
Rias sighed and smiled at that. Such innocent soul, now turned into a devil. The very thing she was taught to show disdain too.
"Welcome to your new life, Asia Argento." She said, introducing the former nun into the new world. "I am Rias Gremory, and I've brought you back to life."
Issei ran up and tightly embraced his friend.
"Let's go home, Asia."

Arriving home, Issei opened the door to find that the inside wasn't destroyed which is good.
Walking inside, he found Kuzuryu, Mittelt, and Kalawarna were on the couch playing video games while Raynare was crouched in the corner of the room looking gloomy.
Hearing the sound of the door pulled all of their attention to him. "I'm home." He announced.
Well, Kuzuryu I see you're getting along with our new residents, so I feel like introductions are in order.
Mittelt was the first one to pop up with a surprisingly cherry manner. "What's up! Mittelt here, at your service. Nice pad you got here."
Issei couldn't help but to smirk, 'Lively one she is, I like her.'
"My names Kalawarna, nice to meet you." Kalawarna introduced herself in a more mature, but carefree tone.
"Nice to meet the both of you. I'm Issei Hyoudou, I'm a half-human half-dragon hybrid, the current Red Dragon Emperor and Shadow Monarch, you both can just call me Issei." Issei introduced.
Both of them widened their eyes. "Wow, no wonder you took down all of those exorcist and the bastard Freed."
"Yeah, what's with that guy?"
Kalawarna waved her hand in dismissal, "He was some crazy bastard Raynare recruited alongside us."
"Yeah sorry for killing your other fallen angel friend."
"Meh, he wasn't our friend. Like Kalawarna said, we were just three people she recruited. We have never known each other until we gathered to follow her. Besides, us three worked better without him." Mittelt mumbled, picking up the controller.
Going up and throwing an arm around Kuzuryu Issie gave her a playful nudge. "I'm surprised you're this chill with them Kuzuuu." Issei cooed.
Kuzuryu leaned into him, "Meh, they immediately said Entropy sent them here so that was that. Might as well have some fun."
Issei nodded and got up. Finally, he looked at Raynare who've avoided looking at him. Walking over to her in the corner, he crouched down, getting at her eye level.
"Well, Raynare, I believe you have some explaining to do."
Looking up, Raynare let out a breath and started to speak.
"I was foolish. I acted out of my own accord of what, I thought, was best for us fallen angels and to appeal to the higher ups." Issei did nothing but stared her down as she continued.
"I was sent here to kill you, Issei. That was my original mission."
His eyes narrowed." Who sent you and why."
"It was an order in the higher ups in the Grigori. It was due to your sacred gear, blame God for that curse."
[I don't consider myself nor my relationship with my partner a curse fallen] Ddraig spat out.
"F-forgive me! It's just that after the Great War, the population of the fallen angel have never compared to the other two factions. We mostly fled to earth or a region in the underworld. Because of the frailty of our race, we set up some preemptive measures."
She pulled these memories from the back off her head. "Our leader tries to be peaceful and attempts to keep the fallen angels out of any conflict, and one measure of that is to either recruit or eliminate sacred gear users that could upset the balance of power between the three factions."
"So that's why you're here, so why did you involve Asia into this."
"Greed. I thought that if I can steal her sacred gear, I would get more recognition in the Gregori. Of course I couldn't do it alone, so I recruited Mittelt, Dohnaseek, and Kalawarna to come along. I also recruited Freed and his group of rouge exorcist to assist us."
"I lured her to this town because my mission was here. I was a bitch to her, I'm not going to lie. I've treated her like shit and shown no remorse when I killed her."
"But I regret it. I regret everything. I regret luring her here, I regret lying to you, I regret killing her. Issei if you can find it in your heart to forgive me c-can you?"
Issei stared at her with stone-cold eyes that eventually softened. "You're lucky that I like you and that I'm a big softy. It'll take some time for me to completely forgive you."
Raynare eye's lit up at this as tears rolled down her face. "But it's not me who you need to say sorry to. If anyone, it would be the one you killed. Asia you can come out."
Hearing his call, Asia came from around the corner with a small smile on her face. The fallen angels tensed at her appearance, while Kuzuryu raised her eye at the girl.
"I… I…"Raynare began to gasp. Asia walked up to Raynare and wrapped her arms around her.
"Oh Raynare, you've been the cause of my suffering…," Tears started to fall from both of their eyes. Emotions were running, which caused Issei to stiffen up. "But I can't find it in my heart to hate you so… I can forgive you…"
Raynare stared at her in shock.
"I won't hate you. Ever. Even though you've hurt me in ways that I didn't know was possible," Asia whispered.
"Even with all the pain and abuse I gave you?" Raynare said after the two stopped hugging. Asia shook her head, smiling.
"I forgive you…" she said. A smile slowly formed on Raynare's face.
Asia turned to Kalawarna and Mittelt. "The same goes for you too. They both looked at each other, got up and bowed. ""Thank you, Asia."", they both said.
"Ugh, well that's enough emotion for one day. Good night everyone, I'm going to bed. Entropy expand the house and make sure they fit the need of our new residents." Issei said, walking to his room to let sleep take him.
