Review Reponses
JC: Maybe. I'm still deciding the cast, but Ruby would be a good choice. And it's about time she got a starring role in one of Gold-Sith's viewings.
UltimateMaster335: I added something extra to that scene in response to your review.
Zraul Prime: You're absolutely right. Although I feel adding petroleum to the RWBY multiverse was a good move anyway. As for running out of running length from RWBY canon to have multiverse viewings, don't forget that Gold-Sith's powers are growing. He'll come up with a solution to this problem you mentioned. Thank you so much for pointing that out for me.
Cooldude101011: Honestly, they were just rough estimates in my eyes. Not at all canon. But don't forget, a small amount of fire dust from Mytlmaster incinerated a large tree in a split-second during initiation way back in Volume 1.
Farmer Abe: Lol. You're correct. I edited and fixed up that little bit of hypocrisy.
Traveler96: That was the original "Robocop" from 1987. You can't beat the classics if you ask me.
Theanimemaster9000: True, Sienna Khan was no saint, but compared to Adam she was. Lesser of two evils I suppose. Also, I think it's natural for fathers to be overprotective of their daughters as teenagers, but I still apologize if that irritated you. I can have Ghira mellow out.
ThatSpaceMann2: Actually, I'm planning on making that an option for a future poll. I know there's already an adaptation for "The Lord of the Rings" films written by animegamer89 in his fic "Into the Arc-hive", but who's to say I can't make my own?
Guest 8/11: Read and find out. I think you'll find it rather karmic.
Down in the ships hold, the crated-up Ark sat undisturbed, emanating an ominous humming sound. Around it, a few bilge rats grew nervous and agitated from the Ark's presence.
Suddenly, the White Fang symbol on the crate was scorched off by an invisible force emanating from the Ark.
A sense of dread and uneasiness swept across the audience from the confirmation that the Ark was indeed supernatural.
"That seems like a map of things to come," Ozpin presumed from the White Fang symbol being burned off.
Back in the main cabin, Blake had just woken up to the sound of Sun cocking a handgun.
Blake sat up slightly. "What is it?" she asked.
Sun tucked the pistol into his belt. "Engines have stopped. I'm going to go check," he replied before leaving the cabin.
Blake sat up and peaked out the window in alarm.
"Oh no," Kali whispered with worry.
"Please don't tell me they've been caught," Yang muttered.
On the bridge, Captain Coal just finished talking to someone on the telephone as he hung it up.
Sun showed up on the bridge. "What's happening?
"We have most important friends," Flynt replied as he gestured to the side of the vessel.
"Holy shit," Sun exclaimed as he grabbed a pair of binoculars and gazed out at what Flynt was referring to.
A White Fang submarine had ascended and parked itself alongside the cargo ship. Already, a squad of soldiers were paddling towards the vessel in a rowboat.
Many audience members groaned in frustration that the White Fang somehow sniffed out Sun and Blake.
"Damn! And I thought I'd seen the last of them," Sun grumbled.
"But how did they find them?" Velvet questioned, remembering how discreetly the heroes left Vacuo.
"I sent my man for you. You and the girl must disappear. We have a place in the hold.Come on, go, go, go. Come on, go, my friend, go," Flynt said urgently to usher Sun off the ships bridge.
After Sun left, the bridge phone rang once again.
Qrow squinted his eyes at the screen in suspicion at Flynt's counterpart.
Ruby noticed her uncle's expression. "What is it, Uncle Qrow?" she asked.
"Something tells me Flynt ratted them out," Qrow said accusingly.
The submarine began to circle the vessel like a shark with White Fang soldiers standing atop it with weapons at the ready. More of them boarded the ship and began to round up the crew hiding below deck.
Meanwhile, Sun covertly worked his way back to the main cabin with his gun in hand.
"Please don't let me get kidnapped again," Blake said hopefully.
Unfortunately, Sun was too late as he heard loud male voices inside the cabin.
"Where is Dr. Wukong?" A White Fang grunt demanded.
"What's the big idea?! Let go!" Blake protested.
Sun quickly hid inside another room just as Blake was roughly shoved out of the main cabin and slammed against the wall shoulder first by a trio of White Fang soldiers.
Blake, Sun, Ghira, and Kali all glared fiercely as the White Fang manhandled Blake's counterpart.
"That's no way to treat a lady," Yang snarled, prompting a few nods.
Blake jabbed a finger at one of the troops. "Don't you touch me," she snarled before being escorted upwards to the deck.
"You tell em', Blake," Ilia cheered her friend.
Down in the hold, the White Fang opened the hatch, spilling light over the Ark still contained inside the crate.
Neptune threw up his hands. "Great now they've got Blake and the Ark in their possession this time," he said in exasperation.
"Sun's going to be hard pressed to stop them this time," Jaune added.
"He has to. If either Salem or Cinder possess the seasons..." Ruby said but couldn't even finish her sentence.
Up on deck, all of the ships crew and passengers were rounded up and held at gunpoint while the Ark was hoisted up on a crane to be loaded onto the submarine.
Sun had managed to conceal himself inside of a funnel, which he peaked out of to watch the scene unfold.
"At least Sun has evaded capture," Nora said, looking on the bright side of things.
"As long as he doesn't get spotted," Ren said as he ate a handful of popcorn.
Blake was brought up on deck to come face to face with Colonel Taurus, who turned and grinned at her.
Furious, Blake rushed over to strike Adam, only to be grabbed and held back by Flynt, prompting laughter from the captured crew.
Cinder was also present and couldn't conceal a half-smile of amusement and admiration of Blake's tenacity.
"That a girl, Blake," Kali said in admiration at Blake's defiance.
"Still defiant, even when captured," Ghira added with a nod.
"Too bad Flynt stopped her," Ilia said in disappointment.
Adam turned to his troops "What about Wukong?!" he questioned loudly.
"There's no trace yet, sir," one of the soldiers replied.
"Wukong is dead," Flynt said offscreen.
Adam turned to lock eyes with Captain Flynt.
"I killed him. He was of no use to us," Flynt lied to protect Sun and Blake.
"Huh?" a few audience members said in confusion at the reveal that Flynt was a Red Herring.
"So… Flynt didn't betray them?" Coco said in puzzlement.
"Well, if you think about it, why would any human besides Cinder affiliate with them," Maria reasoned, prompting a few murmurs of agreement.
"Then Pietro was right to trust Flynt," Ren said with a smile.
"This girl, however, has certain value where we're headed. She'll bring a very good price," Flynt lied again as he caressed Blake's hair and sniffed it.
Cinder gazed around the ship suspiciously, not fully buying Flynt's story, given Sun's persistence.
Ghira and Kali both glowered at the screen.
Yang caressed her locks. "He's lucky that's not my hair he's touching," she growled.
"I know it's a ruse to keep Blake out of harm's way... but that's disgusting!" Weiss spat at the implications of sexual slavery.
Qrow shrugged. "Well, they are pirates after all," he said.
"Colonel, that cargo you've taken. If it's your goal, go in peace with it, but leave us the girl. It would reduce our loss on this trip," Flynt finished
Adam glared at Flynt in disgust. "Savage! You are not in the position to ask for anything!" he spat.
Flynt's smile disappeared as he realized his lie backfired.
Everyone stared in bewilderment at Adam's shared appalment at Blake being sold into sexual slavery, even if it was a lie to keep her safe from the White Fang.
"Well, I guess even evil has standards at times," Velvet said in surprise.
"Unfortunately, this means Sun has to rescue Blake. Again," Ilia said in exasperation.
"We will take what we wish. And then decide whether or not to blow your ship from the water," Adam declared as he yanked Blake out of Flynt's grip.
Adam began pulling Blake away while Sun ducked back into the funnel.
"The girl goes with me," Cinder said. "She'll be part of my compensation. I'm sure Salem would approve."
Cinder removed her suit jacket and draped it over Blake's shoulders. "If she fails to please me, you may do with her as you wish. I will waste no more time with her now," she declared as she led Blake towards the White Fang's rowboat.
Blake's eye twitched. "Please you?!" she spat in disgust.
Ghira and Kali both growled with clenched fists. "Like hell she will!" Ghira snarled.
Aboard the submarine, Cinder and Blake climbed inside just as the ships captain gave the order to shove off as the White Fang made their leave.
Back on the pirate ship, Flynt and his crew gazed out from the side of the deck as the submarine departed.
One of the pirates, Neon, appeared on deck. "I can't find Mr. Wukong, Captain. I've looked everywhere," she reported.
"There's Neon," Weiss pointed out, half-expecting her to show up alongside Flynt.
"He's got to be here somewhere. Look again," Flynt instructed Neon.
Neon paused for a moment, then smiled. "I found him," she said simply.
"Where?" Flynt asked in puzzlement.
Neon pointed at the submarine. "There!"
Just as the White Fang submarine began sailing away, Sun could be seen clinging to the side of the vessel and climbing up onto the deck.
Neptune laughed. "Atta boy, Sun. Never give up," he complimented his partner.
"But how am I going to stay on board without being swept by the ocean?" Sun questioned with a frown.
"All I can think of was could cling to the periscope for the entire journey," Maria suggested. (2)
Yang grinned. "Well, currently he has no other-" she started.
"Enough, Yang!" Weiss cut off, much to Yang's annoyance.
The submarine sailed a luckily short journey to a small, mysterious island on the Southwest coast of Sanus, the journey superimposed on a map. There, a cavernous White Fang submarine base had been built into the island's interior.
The submarine slowly pulled into the interior dock while Sun had discreetly disembarked. He hid behind a large crate as a group of White Fang soldiers walked past. He was drenched and exhausted from the submarine ride.
"Damn, that must have been a rough journey," Taiyang laughed.
"At least I made it," Sun said with a shrug.
One of guards stopped to gaze at the submarine, his back turned to Sun.
Seizing his chance, Sun quickly snatched the soldier, yanked him behind the crates, and beat him senseless with a flurry of punches.
Sneaking a peak back at the submarine, Sun spotted Blake being marched across the deck at gunpoint. With no time to waste, Sun began to remove his old clothes, planning to disguise himself as a White Fang soldier.
"Clever move disguising himself as the enemy," Jaune remarked as he slipped a soda.
"And being a Faunus will make it easier," Ilia added.
"As long as they don't get a good look at his face," Weiss pointed out the only risk with the plan.
Cinder was also on the submarines deck as Blake approached her, the two women exchanging mute looks.
Wukong tried to squeeze himself into the White Fang uniform, but it was too small for him.
Many audience members laughed or grinned at Sun's predicament.
"Disguising as the enemy doesn't work if his or her clothes don't fit you," Ren pointed out.
"Indeed. One size doesn't always fit all," Kali noted.
"Damn real-life logic!" Nora groused.
Suddenly, a White Fang sergeant appeared and looked down at Sun.
"Good morning. Tired?" the sergeant asked sarcastically.
Sun smiled nervously and stood up. He was roughly equal in height to the sergeant, meaning the latter's uniform would fit properly.
"Hmmm, he looks around Sun's size," Velvet observed.
"Why were you sleeping? And where's your undershirt?" the sergeant demanded. "And fix your hair. So you don't look like a pig at your court martial!"
Sun rolled his eyes and punched the angry sergeant, knocking him out. He picked up the sergeant's cap and slipped it on.
There was an even louder chorus of laughter this time.
"The uniform better fit this time, or half the base is going to be knocked out," Taiyang joked.
Back aboard the submarine, Cinder and Adam listened to a soldiers report: "The altar has been prepared in accordance with your radio instructions, ma'am."
"Good. Take the Ark there immediately," Cinder ordered.
Cinder and Adam approached the Ark as it was prepared to be offloaded the submarine.
"Ms. Fall... I am uncomfortable with the thought of this... sacred human ritual. Are you sure it's necessary?" Adam asked cautiously.
Cinder grinned. "Let me ask you this: Would you be more comfortable opening the Ark in Mantle, for Salem? Finding out, only then, if the sacred shards of the seasons are inside? Knowing, only then, whether you have accomplished your mission, and obtained the one true Ark?"
Adam didn't answer, knowing Cinder was absolutely correct.
Cinder walked off the submarine just as the now disguised Sun purposefully bumped into her.
Ruby, Jaune, Yang, and Taiyang all snickered at Sun's little act of pestering Cinder.
"Careful. If she recognizes you, you and Blake are finished," Ghira scolded.
Sun gazed up and spotted the crate containing the Ark being unloaded by an overhead crane.
Cut to the aforementioned island. Cinder, Adam, Tyrian and a full platoon of White Fang troops navigated through a rocky canyon with Blake as their prisoner. Bringing up the rear was Sun still in disguise.
"How's he going to rescue Blake and reclaim the Ark this time?" Kali fretted, nothing that Sun was outnumbered and alone.
"I'm always making stuff up as I go along. I'll come up with something," Sun assured with faith in his counterpart.
The group passed through a small military encampment. Sun spotted a stack of weapon crates and discreetly broke off from the group to open one of them.
Cut to an overhead shot of the White Fang as they pressed on. The camera zoomed out to reveal Sun aiming a shoulder-fired rocket launcher at the group from a high cliff.
"Nice weapon!" Ruby commented on the rocket launcher.
"Hello!" Sun hollered out, halting the White Fang's progression.
The soldiers all spun towards Sun with their weapons at the ready. Blake looked up and smiled at her would be rescuer while Cinder stared in bewilderment.
"Wukong? Wukong?!" Cinder shouted in disbelief at Sun's tenacity.
The audience couldn't help but smile at Cinder's frustration at Sun's refusal to die or give up.
"You're really quite the thorn in Cinder's side," Maria said with a grin.
"I'm not complaining," Jaune said with a hint of venom.
"I'm going to blow up the Ark, Cinder," Sun threatened with his finger on the trigger.
Blake tried to make a break for it, but she was quickly seized by two White Fang soldiers.
"Your persistence surprises even me," Cinder admitted in grudging respect. "You're going to give mercenaries a bad name."
"And you give archaeologists a bad name," Sun shot back loudly.
Adam stepped forward. "Dr. Wukong...surely you don't think you can escape from this island," he stated.
"That depends on how reasonable we're all willing to be. All I want is the girl," Sun stated.
Blake smiled again at Sun once again playing the hero for her, even if he was reckless.
The Belladonnas all smiled gratefully at Sun's concern for Blake. Ghira himself began to feel a little guilty about his overprotective father act.
Adam shot a glance at Cinder, who shook her head in refusal. "And if we refuse?" he asked Sun.
"Then Salem has no prize," Sun answered.
"But would the bazooka really effect the Ark?" Weiss questioned, knowing it seemed unlikely given the Arks powers.
Blake shrugged. "Who knows? Either way, it's a standoff," she noted, wondering how the scenario would play out.
Cinder stepped forward. "Okay, stand back. All of you, stand back. Stand back," she ordered, and the White Fang troops stepped aside, leaving the Ark wide open.
"Okay, Wukong. You win! Blow it up!" Cinder declared loudly.
Everyone blinked or said "huh?" in confusion, not immediately realizing what Cinder was doing.
"Soldiers!" Adam shouted, and his troops bunched up again to shield the Ark.
"Shut up!" Cinder retorted as she snatched an SMG from one of the troops. "Get back!"
Once again, the troops parted.
"Yes, blow it up! Blow it back to the God of Light. All your life has been spent in pursuit of archeological relics. Inside the Ark are treasures beyond your wildest aspirations. You want to see it open as well as I," Cinder monologued, already calling Sun's bluff.
Sun's eyes widened as he realized what Cinder was manipulating him.
Sun lowered his weapon slightly, knowing Cinder was correct. His inner archaeologist overcame his determination to thwart the White Fang's plan.
Everyone became apprehensive as Sun's bluff was called, knowing it was all over if Cinder opened the Ark.
"Sun…what are you doing?" Neptune muttered warily.
"Don't listen to her. She's playing you!" Yang shouted.
"It's not like he has a choice. If he destroys the Ark, they'll probably kill Blake in retaliation," Ghira reasoned.
"But if Salem or Cinder get their hands on the Ark's powers, it'll be over for everyone," Qrow said.
Cinder smiled up at her rival. "Sun...we are simply passing through history," she stated as she approached the Ark. "This is history. Do as you will."
There was a tense pause as Sun stood conflicted and motionless from Cinder's challenge and Blake's smile faltered as she realized Cinder's had called Sun's bluff. Unwilling to put Blake in danger again, Sun lowered his weapon in surrender.
Deep groans filled the theater at Cinders apparent victory.
Qrow threw up his hands. "Great. There goes the neighborhood," he said as he took a sip from his flask.
Sun sighed and hung his head as if in defeat.
Later that night, the White Fang had just finished their preparations for the ritual. Indy and Blake are tied back-to-back to a stake on a hill. They watched from a few hundred feet away as the Ark was carried to a small grotto of rocks. Cinder, now dressed in ceremonial robes, stood in the center of the grotto.
"That's it? He's just going to let them win?!" Yang shouted indignantly.
Oscar shook his head slowly. "No. This can't be right," he said in denial.
"Hmmmm...maybe not," Ozpin hummed internally, remembering what Pietro said about the Ark earlier.
Cinder gazed down at the Ark and delivered a short incantation over it while the event was being documented by a film crew with studio lights illuminating the area, and dozens of White Fang soldiers stood anxiously in anticipation of the Ark's opening.
"Call it a hunch, but I have a feeling something really bad is going to happen," Velvet said with a slight shudder.
Everyone nodded slowly in agreement to Velvet's words.
Cinder's expression became more and more jubilant as she continued her incantation.
"My moment of triumph is finally here! The power of the seasons will be mine, not Salem's!" her inner thoughts revealed her true intentions.
Jaune scowled and shook his head. "So, Cinder fooled the White Fang into helping her," he said, not at all surprised, seeing as she'd recruited the terrorist group in the first place.
"Well, who didn't see that coming," Yang snarked with a roll of her eyes.
"That's why she wanted the Ark opened in a remote location," Weiss concluded.
Cinder finished and two soldiers removed the heavy lid from the Ark, opening it for the first time in a millennium. The other soldiers drew closer in curiosity while Sun looked on with a look of deep concern on his face.
Adam and Tyrian approached the open ark, the former removing his glove and reaching inside. A moment later, Adam withdrew his hand… which was now full of sand.
"Huh? It's just full of sand?" Ruby said in confusion.
"Don't forget, that the tablets were smashed and licked in there for a thousand years," Maria reminded as she sipped her tea.
Cinder gazed in befuddlement at the contents of the Ark which Adam angrily threw the aside. Tyrian began to chuckle in disbelief, thinking all of the White Fangs efforts were for nothing.
Sun's expression became more worried as he continued watching.
"Seems like Sun knows something they don't," Taiyang pointed out.
"Or he'd be much more cautious since the tablets are the words of the God of Light himself," Maria added.
"Then Ms. Scarlatina is correct. This won't end well for the villains," Ozpin predicted.
Suddenly, there was a strange humming sound. Cinder looked around in puzzlement.
Nearby, a large generator powering the lights and camera began to crackle and smoke. Then, all the bright studio lights exploded briefly casting the area into darkness.
Everyone jumped or winced as the lights exploded, becoming more anxious as the scene dragged on.
Cinder gazed down into the Ark. Inside, a wondrous light appeared and a cloud of white smoke began to emanate from the Ark.
The White Fang troops backed away nervously as the white smoke slowly spread and blanketed the ground.
Sun turned to Blake. "Blake. Don't look at it," he warned in a low voice. "Shut your eyes, Blake, and don't look at it, no matter what happens!"
Neptune blinked. "What does he mean by that?" he asked.
"Well, Pietro said the Ark was not of this world and not meant to be disturbed. I suppose even looking at it being opened would be dangerous," Weiss answered.
Suddenly, metal buckets materialized at the feet of every audience member, much to their surprise.
Ruby picked up one of the buckets. "What are these for, Gold-Sith?" she asked warily.
"Some of you might be needing them very soon," Gold-Sith warned.
Velvet looked nervous. "Now I know something bad is going to happen," she muttered.
Next, mysterious yet serene music played as ghostly spirits of various shapes and colors began to appear. They hypnotically flew around the area or even passed through the frightened soldiers. Even the hardened Adam appeared to be taken-aback by the paranormal scene.
"What are they?" Saffron whispered apprehensively
"They could be representations of the four seasons. Maiden spirits so to speak," Ren theorized.
Cinder had an obsessed, transcendent look on her face, believing the power of the seasons would soon be bestowed upon her.
"It's beautiful!" Cinder called out in admiration of the ghosts.
Nobody seemed to share Cinder's opinion as they stared warily at the ghosts as they zig-zagged around onscreen.
"You mean freaky," Yang commented, prompting everyone else to nod in agreement.
Tyrian looked relatively blasé' until he made eye contact with one of the ghosts. It was a beautiful red colored ghost with the face of a young, woman with medium-length hair.
"Well, that one's beautiful," Ilia conceded with a half smile.
Jaune squinted his eyes as he recognized the ghost. "Isn't that… Amber?"
"Indeed, it is," Gold-Sith confirmed.
Then… the music shifted to a frightening tone as Amber's ghostly face suddenly morphed into a horrible skull-faced appearance and hissed at Tyrian in anger.
Tyrian emitted a girlishly high-pitched shriek of horror while Adam began to quiver in fear as the wrath of the God of Light began to descend on them.
"Eek!" Ruby, Nora, and Velvet all squeaked with fright at the sight of the ghost and hugged their respective partners.
The rest of the audience either gasped or leaned back in their seats in wide eyed shock and terror.
"Whoa!" Yang, Taiyang and Qrow all yelped as they jumped in their seats.
"And I thought Judge Tyrian was scary," Saffron said in a wavering voice.
Strong winds began to pick up and whipped at Sun and Blake as they kept their eyes squeezed shut.
"Sunny?!" Blake called out, sensing something was wrong.
"Don't look, Blake! Keep your eyes shut!" Sun warned again.
"Hold on…did Sun know something like this would happen?" Blake wondered in surprise.
"He might have expected anyone with the gall to gaze upon the Ark to be punished," Ghira theorized.
"Very wise of him to avert his eyes," Maria remarked.
Cinder's ecstasy quickly turned to fear as she looked down at the Ark again. A stream of bright, orange fire rose from the Ark. It was the power of the season of Autumn from Amber. (2)
Next, the flames unleashed bolts of orange lighting that struck and pierced the chests of the White Fang troops. Within seconds, they all lay dead. One firebolt even hit the film camera, destroying any evidence of the event.
"Just like in the book," Oscar whispered with wide eyes.
"Yes… the White Fang have insulted the God of Light. And now they're paying for their arrogance," Ozpin said morbidly.
By now the flames from the Ark had grown enough to engulf Cinder and she let out an agonized scream while clutching the sides of her head in pain. Adam continued to quiver in terror, as if frozen in place and Tyrian screamed like a little girl again.
A few people winced and covered their ears in discomfort from hearing Cinder shriek so loudly.
"Yang…I don't like this," Ruby whimpered while still hugging her sister.
"Me neither, sis," Yang replied as she hugged Ruby back.
Finally, Adam's head imploded on itself, a gob of blood spurting from his gaping mouth.
Tyrian gurgled as the flesh of his face melted off like wax, leaving only a gory skull behind.
And finally, with one last scream, Cinder's head exploded in a shower of blood, brains, and skull fragments.
"Bleaaagh!" Ruby, Jaune, Nora, Oscar, Velvet, and Saffron all vomited loudly into the buckets Gold-Sith had provided them with.
The rest of the audience turned green, just barely keeping their gorges down from the gruesome scene. Nobody would mourn the three villains, but seeing them die so gruesomely was nothing short of nightmare fuel.
"Well…that was messed up," Qrow croaked out as he clutched his gut in nausea.
Nora wiped her mouth. "That's the second time we've seen Tyrian melt," she noted.
"But this time it was so much worse," Jaune choked out as he finished puking.
Finally, the flames from the Ark turned into a great firestorm that swept through the area. The flames reached Sun and Blake, who both screamed in pain and terror from the proximity of the flames, but were not burned.
Everyone gasped or breathed in through their teeth, thinking the couple might be harmed by the flames.
Next, came a vacuum of wind from high above the island. The Ark's fire, along with the corpses of Cinder and the White Fang were all sucked upwards into the sky and swallowed by a big hole forming in the clouds above. Finally, the vacuum reversed itself, sending the flames back inside the Ark.
Finally, the Ark's lid slammed down from above and sealed itself once more, covering up the divine powers stored inside.
The whole theater was dead silent for a good five seconds out of sheer shock at what just transpired onscreen.
Taiyang broke the silence. "What. The fuck. Was that?!" he punctuated in bewilderment (3)
"Apparently, that's what happens when you piss off the Brothers in this universe," Qrow suggested, now realizing the White Fangs mission was doomed to fail.
"So, the God of Light spared Sun and Blake for their humility in averting their gazes while the bad guys were punished for their hubris," Maria deducted.
"And Sun probably expected all of it. That's how he defeated Cinder," Neptune realized that Sun outwitted Cinder.
Coco nodded. "Well played," she commended.
Only Sun and Blake were left unharmed due to their humility and respect for the power of the Brother Gods. Their bindings had been severed by the burning fires from the Ark.
The two Faunus locked eyes. "Blake," Sun said softly as the two embraced in a tight hug, happy to be alive.
"Awwwww," the female audience members cooed.
"It's finally over," Kali breathed out with a hand to her chest while Ghira nodded in agreement, finally acknowledging Sun was a good match for Blake in this universe.
A few days later, Sun had travelled to Mantle. He and Neptune were seated at a table with Winter and Ciel inside a large government building.
"You've done the Four Kingdoms a great service, and we thank you," Ciel praised Sun's efforts.
"Yeah. You did great, Sun," Blake congratulated.
"And you didn't even have to beat the bad guys. You let the Ark take care of that," Neptune added.
"Thanks guys," Sun said gratefully.
"And we trust you found the settlement satisfactory?" Winter asked hopefully.
"Oh, the money's fine. But the situation's totally unacceptable," Sun said unhappily.
"What does he mean unacceptable?" Ruby questioned.
"It probably has to do with the Ark," Yang guessed.
"Well, gentlemen, I guess that just about wraps it up," Winter tried to rush the meeting to a close.
"Where. Is. The Ark?" Neptune punctuated in question.
Winter paused before answering. "I thought we'd settled that. The Ark is somewhere very safe," she assured.
"From whom?" Sun pried for information.
"The Ark is a source of unspeakable power, and it has to be researched," Neptune warned, having been told what happened to Cinder's group by Sun earlier.
"Researched?! That thing needs to be sealed away," Weiss said, not wanting her sister to have her face melt off or her head explode if she was foolish enough to open the Ark.
"Or blown up, like Sun threatened to do earlier," Nora suggested, believing the Ark was simply too dangerous to be kept around.
Ren shook his head. "That's probably a bad idea. We all saw what the Ark did to the White Fang just for opening it. Imagine what could happen to someone who tried to destroy it," he cautioned.
"And it will be, I assure you, Dr. Vasilias, Dr. Wukong. We have top men working on it right now," Winter replied.
Sun locked eyes with Winter. "Who?" he asked, not at all convinced.
"Top men," Winter repeated impatiently.
Qrow shook his head. "Why on Remnant would they hand that thing over to Atlas?" he questioned, imagining evil men like Jacque Schnee coveting such power.
Weiss followed Qrow's train of thought and could only gape slightly in horror at the thought of Jacques possibly wielding the power of the seasons.
"Well, Mr. Branwen, Atlas has the strongest military on Remnant, as they do in your universe. Sun Wukong figured Atlas would be the best candidate for keeping the Ark hidden and under constant security," Gold-Sith explained.
"Even so, it'd be best if it was kept hidden and never disturbed or spoken of again," Sun agreed with Weiss' statement.
Outside the building, Sun bid Neptune farewell as the latter returned inside. Blake stood nearby in a new blouse, skirt, and sun hat.
"Hey, what happened?" she asked as she and Sun walked down the buildings front staircase.
"You don't look very happy," Blake noted Sun's glum expression.
"Fools. Bureaucratic fools," Sun grumbled in response.
"Damn right," Qrow grumbled in agreement.
"Something tells me Atlas is going to make the same mistake as the White Fang," Velvet fretted.
"Let's pray that they don't," Oscar said hopefully.
"What'd they say?" Blake asked as she and Sun reached the sidewalk.
"They don't know what they've got there," Sun said with a frown.
"Well, I know what I've got here," Blake said with a warm smile.
"Sun...I apologize for giving you such a hard time. You did a great job watching out for my little girl," Ghira thanked Sun.
Sun just smiled. "No worries, Mr. Belladonna. It's all just part of being a father," he assured, not the type to hold a grudge.
"Come on. I'll buy you a drink," Blake offered as she clapped Sun on the shoulder. "You know...a drink?"
Sun looked at Blake, nodded, and offered his arm for hers to loop around. He cast one more glance back at the building before walking away with Blake.
The audience either smiled, cheered, or cooed at the onscreen couple. Sun and Blake smiled as well with slight blushes.
"Every cloud has a silver lining. You patched things up with Blake," Neptune said as he clapped his partner on the shoulder.
"Yeah. They make such a cute couple," Coco said dreamily while Velvet and Ilia both nodded.
Elsewhere, inside an Atlesian warehouse, the Ark was nailed up inside a thick wooden crate labelled: "TOP SECRET. ATLESIAN ARMY INTEL 9906753. DO NOT OPEN!"
A warehouse worker pushed the crated Ark down a long aisle on a trolley. The camera zoomed out to reveal hundreds, if not thousands, of stacked up similar wooden crates as the Ark was once again hidden away from those who sought to find and misuse its powers.
Everyone was stupefied by the sheer size of the warehouse and it's massive amount of crates.
"Whoa!" Oscar exclaimed softly.
"How many dangerous, supernatural artifacts do they have stored in that warehouse?" Ruby wondered in marvel of all the crates.
"Well, at least the Ark is being kept top secret and locked away," Ren noted.
"At least for now…" Blake said forebodingly.
The credits rolled to the main adventurous theme of the film.
The audience clapped as the screen dimmed and Gold-Sith re-appeared. The overhead lights shined on.
"So, what'd you all think of that one?" Gold-Sith asked.
"That was awesome!" Yang, Neptune, and Nora all declared in unison.
"It was like an adventurous and less gory version of Die Hard, so I liked it," Weiss commented, not being a big fan of gory films.
"The ending was super-scary, but I liked it," Saffron said as she shuddered a bit at the memory of Tyrian's face melting off, as did Velvet and Ruby.
"I'd always enjoy seeing my baby girl on the big screen," Kali said while Ghira nodded in agreement.
"Unfortunately, with so much on our plate, it'll be some time before we can get together for another viewing," Yang said sadly, as she enjoyed the viewings as much as everyone else.
"Weiss is right. Things are very urgent now, so we won't have much time to view your films, Gold-Sith," Blake added.
"Indeed, Ms. Belladonna. But not to worry. I have a solution to that problem," Gold-Sith assured his viewers.
"Oooh! What is it?" Nora asked excitedly as she bounced slightly on her heels.
"Wait until I contact you again, and you'll see. Until then, farewell everyone. And good luck getting to Atlas," Gold-Sith bid everyone goodbye.
Ruby smiled and waved goodbye. "Thank you, Gold-Sith. We'll see you next time," she said.
Goldsmith smiled and disappeared from the screen.
All of the patrons said their goodbyes to one another.
Blake hugged her parents. "Good luck, Blake," Kali said softly.
"And you too, girls," Taiyang said to his daughters as they had their own group hug.
"We'll see you guys at the next viewing," Coco said with a wave.
"Take care until then," Sun said with a smile.
With that, everyone departed either by the door or teleportation (4)
Author's Note: Well, here's the finale to another adaptation. This makes the fifth completed adaptation. And, I assure you all, there will be plenty more where this came from. As Zraul Prime pointed out, I'm running out of space in RWBY canon for viewings, but I have a solution to that problem. Anyway, my work schedule has changed, so I'll have more time to write in the future so I'll have the next adaptation ready in three weeks at the most.
(1)- As shown in a deleted scene, this is indeed how Indy stayed aboard the submarine during the journey to the base.
(2)- Personally, I find it very karmic that Cinder's counterpart would be killed by the spirit of Amber. I also can't decide which is scarier: the opening of the Ark or Judge Doom's reveal.
(3)- For those of you familiar with "Red vs Blue", this line comes from episode 58. And yes, it's a shout-out to Burnie Burns, the voice actor of Church and Taiyang Xiao Long.
(4)- In case anybody is wondering, anyone brought to the theater via teleportation by Gold-Sith is confined there where his power is strongest. If they were to exit the theater or anywhere else out of range of Gold-Sith's zone, he'd lose his "grip" so to speak and send the visitors back to their original location. Otherwise, canon would be thrown out the window.
