Percy still isn't sure how he got to this world. It's been more than a little trying getting used to it, but at least he's been working somewhere comfortable enough. He was currently carrying beams in the shipyard of Water 7, having been the place he landed in when he first arrived in this world. And wasn't that a wonder? A world almost completely covered in ocean. Practically a paradise for him. Not that he's used his powers much, only to calm down Aqua Laguna a bit, and only Iceburg knew about that.
That was actually how he originally got this job a couple years ago. He'd calmed Aqua Laguna and Iceburg had offered to take him in after he found out he had no home. He was really grateful for the man, honestly. He'd been working here in the docks for the last couple years now after finding out he had a knack for ship building. Of course, he kept his skills sharp, and worked on some new tricks, but he did that away from the city for worry of risking the civilians.
And turns out, he was a lot stronger in this world too - with the world being mostly water, that led directly into the power of the domain of the sea. And since there weren't any gods in this world, it went straight to him. Sure he wasn't a god so he didn't get the full benefits, but it felt pretty good nonetheless. He had learned most of what he could about the powers of the world. Honestly, the devil fruits should've surprised him more, but considering there were apples of immortality on the norse side lessened the blow for him. But learning that they were all unanimously weak to the ocean made him vow to not show his control over water - the world government didn't have any points in his book, and that'd just make him a target. He did practice and make new tricks with it under the ocean though, and he also honed the other parts of his father's domain. So far there wasn't much need to do so, but it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Plopping the beams down, which were extremely large and got him a look from Lucci and a smile from Kaku as they got to work on it, he looked at the new ship that the crew of it had asked for help with fixing it and he decided to strike up a conversation.
"You said that ship had a broken keel? How'd it even make it here?" At that, Kaku, who had been moving a couple other things around, shrugged.
"They took good care of her even with the damage she got. They cared about their ship, and apparently a klabautermann came from it and held on long enough to get them here."
That made Percy raise a brow. He had of course known about the myth of klaubautermenn, but to practically have it confirmed made sense to him. All myths were true, as he'd learned. Brushing that off, he got back to work before heading to his apartment when the day ended.
Those fucking assholes.
Percy was on the Island of Enies Lobby, breaking through every defense he could see in front of him. He was gunning for the damn traitors that had the gall to hurt his boss. If he had any say in the matter, none of them would be making it out alive. Right in front of him were the doors that would lead to the tower if he went up. He wasn't going to wait for anyone to open it, so he decided to use one of his new tricks to try and open them. In which, he armored his hand with water that he set the surface tension to max and just punched them. He wasn't even using his earthquake powers to infuse it, but he broke the doors from the wall and knocked them down. He had gotten physically stronger as well in this world, and adding onto his already considerable power, that wasn't to be ignored.
A short while later he was standing with the Straw Hat Pirates, as they were called, as they practically declared war on the World Government. Internally, Percy was just frustrated that he'd likely lose his job after this since he was seen associating with them. That was fine with him though. He figured, with his luck, he'd end up crossing the world government somehow.
After getting to the tower, which he was very much resisting the urge to knock down, he was almost kicked in the head by some Banette/matryoshka hybrid person that looked positively revolting, and considering he was dressed like the Cipher Pol, Percy had no qualms when he grabbed his leg mid kick and decked him in the face, leading to him crashing through the walls and laying there near insensate. He could hear something along the lines of '6000?' before the man passed out, likely with rather severe skull fractures.
What pissed him the hell off though was Spandam calling a buster call on his own man. That wouldn't float with him, and he was going to make that abundantly clear as he leapt to the warships, water coating his body in a thin sheen to armor himself before he made it on, and in short order, broke it in half from the extreme impact of one of his hits, before using a trick he'd been working on after seeing some swordsmen pass through Water 7 and swung Riptide at another one, mixing a bit of his Father's domain as the god of storms to make a windblade that cut through the ship and started it's sinking process as well. That seemed to be the most he needed to do though, looking at the kid who was apparently made of rubber. And really, that of all things told him he needed to work on that elemental body thing the Logia users have. Yeah his water armor was good but he had to admit, just turning into water and letting enemies hit you with it not doing anything would be even better.
(What he didn't know was that, since his powers weren't devil fruit based, even haki imbued attacks would have less effect on him when he was made of water. They still would, but it would be less. He'd also have the benefit of Katakuri syndrome, being made of and able to produce water)
Utilizing another trick he learned, that being Mist Travel, he made it back to the island around the time everyone was heading back. He was more satisfied now - the people who had hurt Iceburg had been pretty badly beaten in turn. But just for good measure, might as well fully knock down that tower. He channeled a bit of the seismic energy from the world and sent it out. The tower crashed down in short order. There were no visual tells either, only the feeling of the shockwave, so nobody could really know who did it. The fight with Cipher Pol was over, and the crew would return now to Water 7.
Though he didn't expect to be asked to join after they left. He turned a look to Iceburg and back to the straw-hatted captain before sighing. He knew he couldn't stay here, and his old boss knew it too. This was the best offer he would get for a while, maybe ever, and they both knew it. Especially after the bounty posters came out, and his started out at 100 million beris, which was excessive in his opinion, but he was also mildly proud of it. Except the fact that it had his full name on it. Seems he was doomed to have his enemies always calling him Perseus.
"Fine. I'll join your crew. Name's Percy. And just saying this now, I don't eat fish."
And then apparently they got Franky to join, which honestly made Percy a bit happy. Franky was like Leo's innovation and energy but well, dialed up a bit. He was sure those two would get along swimmingly if they ever met. He was somewhat happy to have made new friends too. He's sure all of the people back home would be proud of him as he sailed off with them to new Islands.
Hey, it's not great, but this is, again, just to inspire people to write more PJO and One Piece crossovers. I have a LOT of ideas pertaining to this though, so if you do want to write one based off this, please can I be the beta and tell them to you? Anyways, signing off now. Hope you enjoy
