Years ago...
She awaken to a blue sky. She slowly came to, seeing the natural wonders of this world. She found herself in a flower-filled prairie. She was draped in a small white skirt reaching below her waist to her legs and barefoot as she stood to her feet. She was amazed at the landscape, not seeing anything like before...
Come to think of it, she couldn't remember anything at all. Her name, age, where she came from, none of it. The blonde found it odd who she got her, but did not care for this world was beautiful and wished to stay here everyday.
But before she could get comfortable, she heard a branch snap. The noise prompted her to turn around, scared of what could possibly appear. Was it some kind of beast, a guardian of this land? All possible scenarios of escaping were rushing through her head, preparing to flee rather than fight. But she calmed herself after seeing what appeared.
Another human, a male with sandy brown hair and green eyes. He looked very muscular from her angle, while he carried a sword in his right hand and a wooden shield in his left. He wore a toga... that was connected by a golden circle with a cross in it.
"Who are you?" he asked. She didn't know how to respond. "I... am...I'm... I cannot remember my name."
"How did you get here?"
"I cannot recall that either."
The man continued to ask the basic who, what, when, where, and how questions with the woman, but her answers were all the same. The man let out a small sigh, knowing he couldn't leave the woman in this land at night. Not with that creature still running amuck.
"Perhaps I can take you to my tribe for the time being," he finally said after a short awkward pause. The woman was reluctant to follow the stranger but decided it was better to have some company in the unknown land. So the man introduces himself as Lucian, which lead to a pleasant conversation on his way back to the tribe.
"So, my name is Lucian."
The male had introduced himself after a short while walking to his village. The female couldn't help but find that name beautiful, like it was slightly calling her. Not to mention, he was very fit. The same could be say to Lucian about the mysterious woman, she just radiated beauty and looked like the embodiment of light.
"Maybe I could give you a name," he suggested. The woman thought about for a while, knowing she doesn't technically have a name, so being given one would make sense. She gave him a nod, deciding on his choice to past the time.
"Okay. How about Belle?"
No.
"Vidya?"
Nope.
"Sky"
Not it. It IS her name after all, she wanted to have a purposeful name rather than be named after something Lucian saw in the forest or off the top of his head. This went on until they came across a small creek to rest. Lucian had scratched his head, thinking of a perfect name. The woman, on the other hand, was busy staring at her reflection. She began to herself for the first time and was amazed of how she looked. Like light...
"Maybe... Aurora?" she questioned to Lucian, who was currently gathering water. Lucian turned his head, to the woman. Aurora. The name meant light, so why not. "I like it...I mean if you want to be called it," the native quickly covered up, hiding his infatuation towards the white clothed woman.
"Aurora, it is," the woman declared with a smile on her face.
Unbeknownst to them, two piercing red eyes had discovered them and gave a small growl that would send shivers down a normal person's body.
Arriving at the tribe, Lucian introduced everyone to the newly named Aurora, who was immediately gifted with such kindness from the other tribal members.
An elder of the tribe, Lucian's mother, agreed to let her stay in her tent for the time being. Aurora was grateful for this and preceded to rest, her body was tired from walking unlike Lucian who was trained to have superhuman stamina.
After Aurora had began to rest, Lucian couldn't help to wonder how she got here. There weren't any other tribes to his knowledge that lived around here.
"Wondering where she came from?"
Lucian turned to his mother. "Yes, there are not any other tribes around here. And she appears to be human like us."
His mother slightly chuckled, "Yes, that is true. But perhaps there is more to her that meets the eye."
"What do you mean?"
The elder gave a look to her son, "Be careful with her. She could be a great ally to you," before joking, "...possibly a future wife."
Lucian did his best to hide a blush from his mother's accusation. It was true though, he wouldn't deny that he had developed a crush on the mysterious woman he had came across. He had been sparing glances at her from their walk, every time he looked back, she would turn away with a tinge of red on her luminous checks. It was possible Aurora felt the same way.
But he broke from the theory when he heard a roar outside. A demonic roar. He knew that roar, everyone in the village knows that roar. Lucian grabbed his sword and shield, before leaving and coming face to face with the beast he wished to be killed.
The beast in question was a menagerie of animals much like a hybrid or chimera. Its face resembled a mix between a tiger and a bear with tusks that pointed up like an elephant and horns resembling a rhinoceros. Its body was very large itself, a large hump with hard scales that ran from its neck to tail. It had claws, three long scythe like on its hairy front legs and four retractable claws on its longer, scaly hind legs. The tail had a club, spiked all-round but was retractable. The eyes were blood red, intended on killing for both hunger and pleasure.
Lucian grit his teeth, his face full of anger and fury. This beast was nothing but a spawn of that demonic god, Dharkon. He was the opposite to their god, Galeem, Lord of Light and their symbol they carried. The beast had been on a frequent rampage, coming only to slaughter. And it enjoyed it. It loved the chaos and the carnage it brought. No force in this land was able to stop it.
But Lucian wanted to end it, once on for all. He had trained constantly in order to improve himself and be the first to slay the spawn.
Gripping the hilt of the sword, Lucian rushed the creature. He slashed at the front right leg, only to see no damage done. Lucian snarled through his teeth, knowing this beast was not one to be taken lightly. Said beast seemed to be sniffing around for something, oblivious to the attacker.
Lucian rushed again, attempting to stab the beast from the underside. He managed to land a stab, which invoked the beast mildly, its search now being put to a halt to deal with its attacker. The chimera began to swipe its claws, extended and all, landing thin gashes marks of both Lucian and his shield as he made attempts to block. The beast then lunged, snapping its numerous teeth at the native. Its teeth managed to snap Lucian's sword just as he made in attack to hurt the mouth.
Lucian was later thrown back from an "uppercut" from the creature's face horn. The blow did much too much damage to Lucian as it struck his body. A new large red gash ran down his body as he was not wearing armor since there was no blacksmiths in the village. Lucian managed to stand but was bleeding intensely and felt his grip on the sword and shield he wielded loosen, possibly from the single strike the beast did.
Said beast began to approach him and its mouth turned to a smile with saliva dripping. The predator drive within the chimera killed for pleasure, loving the rush and gore that came with it. This would have be a wonderful challenge if the human had put up a fight, but alas it was not. If this defender wished to continue to fight, the hybrid would not allow it. It was a bit hungry after all...
The beast was upon Lucian, ready to devour the warrior until it felt something bore into its hide.
And let out a cry of pain.
The beast turned to find the sneak attacker only to find Aurora standing with a palm pointed out at the creature...
That glowed with light. And it was as if her eyes also gleamed with the same element.
Lucian also saw this and gained a question.
How did she do that?
The beast, on the other hand, was snarling. This was the girl it was sniffing for! And its master wanted her gone for good. The beast let out a roar of anger and rushed towards Aurora. She seemed unfazed by the creature's approach and conjured a concentrated blast of photokinetic energy, this time with two hands, and fired. The effects were immediate, the creature was a spawn of Dharkon and made of the most darkness of the world it originated. The chimera cried out as the blasts seemed to actually damage and cut through the creature's supposed tough hide forming fissures. Pieces of flesh started to shine and glow from the cracks...
Before the creature exploded and dissolved into purple spores.
Lucian was gobsmacked at this. Aurora came to and lost the light glow in her eyes. She held her hand to her head as she looked like she was about to faint. Lucian saw this and rushed to her, albeit the best he could with the large gash in his skin. He still had his general question of how she did that and where this energy came from.
But for now she needed to rest. And Lucian let her do just that as he smiled towards the moon.
The beast's reign was no longer.
Elsewhere, two giant, white gloved, floating hands were in a pocket dimension, watching their world. They had witness the fight. And perhaps thought it was time for the tournament they had been wanting to do for a long time now...
Another place, a void of darkness was under the care of an omniscient blue holographic figure. He looked as he was contemplating something. He had seen the darkness creature that its master wished for him to create and just saw it killed right in its crystal ball as he is unable to leave the void he was entrusted to care for.
"So the prophecy is true. Then they are truly meant to clash... and that will their downfall," the figure said as it grew a smile.
This woman had incredible powers and soon she would be perfect for the upcoming plan he had in mind...
Another section in the void of darkness, a black particle like swarm took its true form... the symbol Lucian's tribe wore. The swarm took various appearances, most notables were a wolf like beast, five swords, and a giant. It had felt the power of light and darkness clash...
And was ready to unleash chaos.
Another pocket dimension, a ball of light with four giant rainbow wings felt the power Aurora had unleashed. He was surprised their was another user of light on the planet. He didn't know of this was a good or bad. Then the prophecy was true...
And he would not allow that to taint his perfect world.
And finally, in other dimension, an eyeball with numerous dark tentacles was "frowning" at this. The woman had killed its best creature. His minions would definitely make more, but that was the test run. This proved its creatures could walk on the mortal plane. And then the eyeball let out a "cackle." This woman would be the perfect undoing to his eternal foe plans of a perfect utopia.
The fun was just beginning.
