DarkFoxKit: Happy Halloween! … Yeah, I know, I know, you can put the pitchforks away. It's been a long time since I updated. I've only updated once this year, twice if you count this chapter.
Andy: Yeah, you've been focused on Child of Mew. It's nice to see you're back though.
DarkFoxKit: I wouldn't say I'm fully back yet, but hopefully I can start to update a little more now. And if you're wondering why it took me so long, it's because I did want to finish Child of Mew before continuing this one, but it's been going on much longer than I anticipated. *Looks around before looking at something off camera* What are you doing? Get over here so people can see you.
?: No, I'd rather not people see me in this 'costume' as Mew called it…
DarkFoxKit: Mew isn't here, she doesn't like ghosts. But she really wanted you to show off your costume, so come here right now.
Andy: What did Mew make you wea- *Darkzdragon 'Onyx' came out and was wearing a huge white and pink dragon size dress* …. What the Ghost Zone?
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Mew had the great idea of having me be a princess for Halloween… *Grumbles* Go on… laugh it up.
Andy: Not the dress, why are you a girl?
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Mew figured I should completely look the part. So she made me a girl and put me in this stupid dress that I can't take off… it's like the darn thing is cursed.
DarkFoxKit: And her name is now Onyx too.
Andy: Aren't you going to wear a costume, Fox?
DarkFoxKit: Sure. *Puts a hollow pumpkin with eye holes and a creepy smile on her head* Boo.
Andy: Uh… wow, that's… very simple.
DarkFoxKit: Well Onyx, is there anything else you wanna mention before we let the readers get on to the chapter?
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Right. DarkFoxKit started a p atreon account. Unfortunately we can't write the word because fanfiction filters it out. If you would like to support her go to p atreon's website and search up her name DarkFoxKit. We currently only have one goal set but if anyone has any ideas that they would like to offer send one of us a PM and we'll discuss it with each other. For now, the goal is $75 dollars and when that is reached we will do a contest where everyone who supports Fox can send in artwork of the story that they like and the artwork will be judged. The winners of each story's artwork will be featured in a future chapter or possibly even a few chapters. *Looks at Fox* Anything else?

Chapter 46: Vlad's Game
Vlad had taken us to a football arena. Jazz was in the Ecto Skeleton suit, while Danny was trapped in some kind of ghost cube thing. Vlad trapped Danny in there to keep him from trying escape with us. I was the only one who wasn't in something. I was standing beside Vlad, seeing my siblings down on the stadium.
I guess Vlad knew I wouldn't take the risk of trying to escape, especially if I'm trying to convince him I wanted to be on his side.
"Oh come on, Uncle Vlad, is this really necessary?" Jazz frowned when she spoke to Vlad from the stadium.
Vlad turned on the microphone on the counter in front of us and gave a grin as he said, "Why Jasmine, you and Andrew didn't expect me to take you in as my own without first testing your loyalty, did you?"
"But Vlad, Danny is our brother, what makes you think we'll fight him?" I asked, frowning from beside him.
"And thus is why this is the ultimate test of loyalty," Vlad answered. "I need to make sure you both truly chose me over Daniel. Now then, about Jack's Ecto Skeleton, I've improved it by adding the ecto converter and the lightning rod as an endless power source. Meanwhile, the nanobots will control your heart rate and breathing."
"So the suit won't waste me?" Jazz asked.
"No, so I can if you or Andrew betray me," Vlad answered.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! You injected bloodstream nanobots into my sister!?" I yelled. "When did that happen? And for that matter, WHY!? You could've just easily tested us without injecting little nanobots into her bloodstream!"
"And you should just let her go, she's clearly just some clueless know it all who's in way over her head!" Danny yelled.
"Danny!" I snapped. "Must you be insulting our sister right now!? Why do you think she ran away in the first place?"
"Maybe if she actually knew what she was doing, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place!" Danny snapped back.
Then Jazz's suit turned on. She gave a surprise yelp as the suit started powering up. Then the cube Danny was in dissipated. Do they really have to fight each other?
I looked up at Vlad, "Vlad, do you really expect Danny and Jazz to fight each other? They may get on each other's nerves, but surely you don't expect them to kill each other like in a gladiatorial fight, do you?"
"No Andrew, I don't expect them to kill each other, that's just barbaric," Vlad said. "I do, however, want Jasmine to fight Daniel. If she can prove her loyalty to me, then I will believe that you both came to me, otherwise I have reasons to believe you're here for another reason."
Vlad had the remote to Jazz's suit, but if I tried to grab it, then Vlad will know for sure that I'm not loyal to him. Maybe this was his test for me, to see if I would try to grab the remote from him.
Looking back down at the stadium, Jazz and Danny were having around argument.
"Okay, we can't leave without Andy, but when I say run, we split up and-" Danny began to say.
"Don't tell me what to do, I'll run and do what I want when I want," Jazz said.
Danny growled and said, "Fine! Do whatever!"
"So they won't leave without you," Vlad said. "That's all fine and dandy, but even if you weren't here, they still couldn't escape."
"Why's that?" I asked.
Vlad gave a smirk, "I've reprogrammed the Ghost Shield too. It works on ghosts and humans."
"So you've made a Ghost and Human Shield?" I deadpanned. "What lengths you would go to just to have our family."
"Oh Andrew, I expected Daniel to be unable to understand, but I was hoping that you might have been a little more open minded," Vlad sighed.
I saw Danny and Jazz looking at each other. They were whispering, probably trying to plan something so Vlad and I didn't hear it. I could probably use this time to try and talk to Vlad, maybe even convince him to let us go.
I looked up at Vlad and said, "Open minded to what? The way I see it, you're trying to rip my family apart. Why would I accept that?"
"Fair enough," Vlad said. "You seem to have a little more sense than the rest of your family, besides Madeline of course. You must've gotten it from her side."
"So what, are you going to tell me a story or something?" I asked.
"Perhaps, if you're willing to listen," Vlad said.
I looked back down to see Jazz punching Danny into the Ghost/Human Shield, shocking him a bit.
"You see, young Andrew," Vlad said, getting my attention again. "I don't know if your blundering father ever told you, but we used to go to college together; him, myself and your mother. We were like the best of friends. Jack was like a brother to me, and Maddie… well, you know how I feel about her already. We were all interested in the paranormal science. Of course, while we did believe in ghosts, hardly anyone else did. It's a wonder how the paranormal science stayed in college if the government wasn't interested in paying to keep it running."
I gave a slight nod. "Yeah, Dad did tell us that before."
"Of course he did. Did he tell you about the accident as well?" Vlad asked me.
"Yeah, he told us how he activated the mini ghost portal prototype and how it… well… blasted you in the face," I said sheepishly.
"Yes, and that gave me ecto acne," Vlad went on. "And of course that ruined my life. I spent years in the hospital, being treated like a plague carrier. No doctor knew how to treat it, because the ecto acne was a disease from another plane of existence. My family stopped visiting me, they basically lost any hope that I would live. Jack and Maddie… well, the only time I heard from them was when I got an invitation to their wedding. Imagine how infuriated I was when I saw the invitation. Jack not only put me in the hospital to rot, he also had the gall to steal the love of my life. I had hoped that maybe if I survived being in the hospital and eventually released, I may still have a chance at happiness, but no, it was all taken away by that bumbling buffoon."
I didn't know what to say about that. If it was me in that situation, I can imagine being just as bitter as Vlad was. Danny grabbed Jazz's suit and turned it intangible before he buried most of it underground, leaving only her head up. He was yelling at her to listen to him.
"Of course…" Vlad continued. "If any good came out of that accident… it was the fact that I gained ghost powers. Of course, I saw it as a curse when I first discovered it. My body could suddenly go invisible, and nobody could see me. They could still hear me, and they would freak out. I freaked out myself when I couldn't see myself. And the intangibility… it was hard to stay on any surface because of how often that power would kick in without me noticing. I'm sure you and Daniel know what I'm talking about, as both of you experienced the same thing."
I nodded, remembering how hard it was to keep control over my powers when I first got them. But I was lucky, I had Danny, someone who had experience with ghost powers, to help me through it. Danny and Vlad didn't have anyone, they had to learn to control it themselves. Tucker and Sam did what they could to help Danny, but they were never half ghosts themselves, they could only do so much to help.
"I didn't know what was happening to me," Vlad said. "I thought I was dying. But after a while, I started to experiment. I could fly, I could shoot plasma from my own hands. It was like nothing I've ever experienced before. When I realized these powers were something akin to the abilities of a ghost, I began to believe I was a ghost. Of course, I was still alive, I still had human needs and human blood. So this phenomenon was something I decided to call a half human and half ghost. Once I became used to my new ghost powers, I became well enough to be released from the hospital. And I, in desperate need of money after my own family abandoned me, used my ghost powers to gain what I needed."
"And you became a billionaire?" I asked.
"Yes, quite quickly too," Vlad said. "When I learned I could control people, it was easy to go to some pretty big companies and have them name me the CEO of their company. I learned the ins and outs of business, I started my own company and then merged them with the companies that I had taken over. I developed a monopoly and became one of the wealthiest people on Earth. But of course, even with my wealth, I was still empty. I needed something else, something money couldn't easily buy. I needed love and a family. Something that Jack himself had stolen from me when I was still rotting away in the hospital."
"You're still in love with Mom," I said in realization. "You… never got over her."
"Yes, and while many would see it as pathetic and say I should move on, it's not that simple," Vlad said. "I truly loved Maddie with every fiber of my being. In fact, just before the accident, I was planning to ask Maddie on a date. You don't know how hard it is to have someone you love to suddenly be snatched away from you."
"I… might have some idea," I said, remembering those times when I lost or almost lost Danny. He may not be someone I love romantically like Vlad does with Mom, but he is someone I love dearly and wouldn't want to lose. "While I don't have anyone I love like you do with Mom right now, I do love my brother, and I almost lost him."
"Now do you see why I said I knew you would understand, Andrew?" Vlad said. "After what Jack had done to me… I can't forgive him. He must pay for the suffering he put me through. Of course, I was originally just going to make him look like a psychopathic murderer when I invited him to the college reunion in my castle, so he would be arrested. I was going to step in and take the Fenton family into my home. Unfortunately, there was one thing I didn't count on, and that was your brother. I did not know that he was half ghost, nor did I realize that the big ghost boy hero from Amity Park was Daniel until he passed out in front of me. When I discovered this, I realized that Daniel understood me better than anyone else. He was half ghost too, and he could be like a son to me. I could teach him how to use his powers, and how to run the business when he got older."
"So you became obsessed with getting your own son through Danny," I said.
"Precisely, of course, your brother still has that naive way of thinking. He sees me as a villain, so he treats me as such," Vlad said. "Never once did Daniel take the time to try and understand why I want him as a son. It's not about power, it was never about power, it's because…"
"You wanted someone to care for," I finished.
"You seem to understand me even more than your brother ever did, Andrew," Vlad sighed.
"I grew up with the belief that there are no truly evil people, just people who do evil things. My Mom once told me that her cousin was mean to everyone around her, and she told me that her cousin truly believed she was in the right. Villains from television and 'villains' from real life are two very different people," I said. "But Danny… he probably rather live in a fantasy world where bad people are just bad and good people are good. But I think he's starting to understand that's not always the case after what happened with Valerie."
"Perhaps, but he still has a lot to learn," Vlad said.
Jazz lifted Danny up after she got her suit out of the ground.
"Jazz! No! Please stop!" Danny yelled.
I could see him smiling. I figured he and Jazz must've worked things out and are now working together, but I didn't want Vlad to see that, so I said, "Even so, Danny tries his best to always do the right thing. I know he can be naive, but he's strong and he wants to protect people. I admire him for that, he never hesitates to save someone in need, while I hesitate trying to think if it's a good idea or not. Still, I'm there to make sure he doesn't get too reckless and save him if he gets in way over his head."
"You are a good brother to Daniel," Vlad said. "Daniel is lucky to have someone like you, Andrew. You can be cold and calculating like me, but you also find it in you to care about the safety of your brother."
I saw Jazz throwing Danny into the shield, electrocuting him. He fell down and closed his eyes. Jazz bent down to him.
"Oh no, Danny! What have I done?" It was easy to see she was acting melodramatic. I've seen what Danny could do, and an electric shock like that would be nowhere near enough to knock him out.
"So, now that you know about my motives," Vlad said to me. "I hope you would be a little more cooperative."
I looked down.
"Now come, it seems your sister was victorious," Vlad said before he took my arm and walked down to the stadium.
We walked up to my sister and 'unconscious' brother. Vlad gave Jazz an approving smile, "You've done well, Jasmine, you've proven to me that you're indeed loyal."
Danny then opened his eyes and smiled, waving to Vlad before turning intangible and going underground. Jazz pulled the suit's arm back and smirked.
"Guess again, Fruitloop," Jazz said before she punched Vlad in the face, forcing him back into the empty bleachers.
To be fair, I kind of saw this coming. Not through any visions or anything, I just know my siblings.
Vlad glared before he got down from the bleachers. If he were fully human, he probably could've broken some bones from that impact.
"Oh, so you and your brother orchestrated this little scheme, huh?" Vlad said. "Well you just made a big mistake."
Vlad pulled out the remote that would activate the nanobots in Jazz's bloodstream. I saw Danny coming up from under the ground to grab it, but Vlad was one step ahead of him. The minute Jazz betrayed Vlad, he knew Danny would come after him. So Vlad turned himself and the remote intangible, making Danny miss him completely.
"Did you really think you could just take the remote that easily from me, Daniel?" Vlad snapped.
I looked at Danny and Jazz, both of them looking worried. I knew what I had to do. I approached Vlad.
"Andy? What are you doing?" Danny asked.
"Andy!" Jazz yelled after me.
"Andrew here actually understands me," Vlad said when I came up beside him. "Unlike the two of you, you would rather treat me like a bad guy. You showed no hesitance to attack me with that Ecto Suit, Jasmine, I'm very disappointed in you."
"You were trying to have me fight my own brother," Jazz snapped. "Someone as sick and twisted as you didn't deserve any mercy."
"Andy, what are you doing?" Danny asked. "Get back over here! Why are you siding with that Fruitloop?"
"Of course he's siding with me." Vlad smirked as I looked at the remote in his hand, he's holding it by his waist. "He doesn't call me a 'Fruitloop', he knows that what I do is out of love and hurt. While you two just want to hurt me because I'm 'the bad guy'. If only you two were more open minded like your brother here, I could've spared you. Oh well, I don't need traitors in my family."
I grabbed the remote, turning it and my hand intangible to get it out of Vlad's hand and held it close to me.
"What the… Andrew?" Vlad looked down at his now empty hand in shock before looking at me. "What do you think you're doing, young man?"
"What do you think I'm doing?" I asked before throwing down the remote and crushing it completely with my foot, making it spark. "I won't let you hurt my sister."
"Nice one, bro!" Danny smiled.
"You actually had me going there for a second," Jazz said.
"Andrew, I can't believe… after everything we've talked about?" Vlad frowned. "I even taught you how to use your telekinesis, and this is how you repay me? I thought we had an understanding!"
I gave a sad sigh at Vlad before I said, "Yes Vlad, I do understand. I understand why you became so bitter at my Dad, I understand why you still want Mom, and why you've been trying to get Danny, and now by extension, me, by your side. But just because I understand, you shouldn't assume I feel the same. While I do understand, that doesn't change the fact that you still attacked my family. You still attack the people I love and care about. My Dad is someone I do love and care about too, Vlad, even if you can't see why. Dad may not be the brightest person ever, but he tries hard, he really does care for us, he does his best to make sure his family are safe from the ghosts, he really does love Mom too. And Jazz, she may mess up from time to time, but she tries hard because she does care and I know she loves us too. She watches over us, tries her best to help any way she can, and she's smart, loving and she always take the time to try and understand us better. I couldn't have asked for a better sister."
I saw Jazz and Danny both smiling, they looked at each other and gave a bit of a guilty smile. Danny probably felt guilty for giving her such a hard time, and Jazz probably felt guilty for trying too hard when she was just fine already.
"And because of that…" I said. "I rather fight you then to let you hurt the ones I love and care about, Vlad."
Vlad gave a sigh before he said, "I should have known… never trust a Fenton."
With that said, Vlad summoned a black ring around his torso, letting it split horizontally, changing him into his vampire-like ghost form.
"Vlad, you have two ghost kids and a sister able to use the Ecto Skeleton Suit," Danny pointed out. "Do you really think you stand a chance at this point?"
"I have more surprises than you know, Daniel," Vlad said before pulling out another remote. "While this won't kill your sister, it will let me take control of the Ecto Skeleton she's in."
Vlad pushed a button on the remote, and Jazz let out a scream as the Ecto Suit began to move on its own, turning to Danny and me. I gasped before I quickly summoned my own ring and let it transform me into my ghost form.
"I can't stop it!" Jazz yelled. "Danny! Andy! Run!"
The Ecto Skeleton charged at us, Danny and I flew in separate directions to avoid the its punches. It slammed onto the ground with its arms, leaving quite a big crater on the ground.
"How do we stop the Ecto Skeleton?" I asked Danny, since he had some experience with it before.
"We can try to get Jazz out and activate the self destruct button," Danny said.
"There's a self destruct button in that thing?" I frowned before we had to dodge plasma rays from the Ecto Suit.
"Yeah," Danny said. "We'll be able to destroy it for good, but we have to get Jazz out first."
"We'll have to get close to it before we can even get to Jazz," I said. "Maybe if we could just tip it off balance-"
I was cut off when a hot blast hit me in the chest. I yelped as I went flying into the sky. I heard Danny yelling my name, but I was trying to get out of the tail spin I found myself in. When I finally managed to stop myself, I was about to fly back down into the stadium, but Vlad showed up in front of me.
"You know, Andrew, I might've been inclined to let your siblings go if you were smart enough to try and work out a deal with me instead of betraying me," Vlad said coldly.
I glared back, "And what deal would that have been? I stay here with you in return for letting Jazz and Danny go?"
"But of course," Vlad said. "I wouldn't let them go for nothing."
"Then no thanks," I said. "I rather live with my family."
"Even though I could offer you more than your family ever could? With me you would have everything you ever wanted. I could teach you more, so much more," Vlad said.
"I could have everything I want, except for the most important thing, the people I care about," I answered.
"Very well then, Andrew, looks like you and your brother both will only learn the hard way," Vlad hissed.
Before I could react, Vlad shot a reddish pink plasma ray at me. I fell back a bit, but I managed to stop myself from falling far. If Vlad is here fighting me, he would be too busy to monitor what Jazz and Danny were doing. I don't have to win, I just have to keep Vlad distracted.
"I'll make you understand, Andrew, even if I must beat it into your thick skull!" Vlad said.
"You can try, Vlad," I said. "But that won't make me cooperate with you."
I fired my own plasma ray at him, which was green and weaker than the one he fired at me. Vlad easily dodged. Of course, he had way more experience than me. Danny had more than me, and even he didn't stand a chance against Vlad. Vlad made a duplicate of himself, both of them splitting up as they came at me in different directions. I flew up, feeling my legs fusing into a wispy tail. Vlad's legs never seem to turn into a tail, so he was the more powerful type than the speedy type like Danny and I were.
I fired two ghost rays at the two Vlad clones. They circled around, dodging it. I fired another two ghost rays from each of my hand. I tired to focus my telekinesis on the two ghost rays I just fired. I managed to get a grip on them. The two Vlads circled to dodge again, but this time I managed to control the ghost rays to come right back and hit both Vlads in the back. Of course, since Vlad wasn't expecting this, the attack caused both Vlads to fall and fuse back.
Vlad was far from finished, however, he flew back up to me and punched me my left cheek. I fell a few feet away from the punch, and he grabbed my legs and threw me to the stadium below. I hissed in pain as I rolled on the ground.
"Andy!" I heard Danny yell out in concern.
"Look out, Danny!" Jazz yelled.
"Ugh!" I think Danny got shot by the Ecto Skeleton.
I rolled on my hands and pushed myself up to see Vlad coming at me from the sky. I had to act fast. Vlad fired his ghost ray at me, but I quickly moved to the side, barely dodging it. The ghost ray hit the ground behind me, leaving a small burnt crate. When Vlad got in close to try and punch me, I rolled to the side again, and this time I punched him in the face. Vlad let out a pained yelp, but he didn't go flying like he would've if Danny punched him full force, instead, his head only turned a bit, leaving a bit of a mark on the cheek I punched.
Vlad turned his head back to me and smirked, "Heh, you're not as physically strong as your brother."
Vlad reached out and grabbed my suit, pulling me close to him.
"I don't have to be…" I hissed as I grabbed Vlad's cape with my telekinesis. "Not when I can use this."
I yanked Vlad's cape with my telekinesis, force him back, the surprise of it made him let go of me. Of course, my telekinesis wasn't strong enough to lift a person like my future self was able to do, so I couldn't keep Vlad away for long.
Vlad created four clones, and they surrounded me. I gasped as I quickly used my ghost ray and made it form a barrier around me as a shield. The Vlad clones all fired at me at once with their plasma ray. Of course, my own shield wasn't strong enough to hold it back. It cracked and soon shattered. I braced myself as the plasma rays burned me. I don't think I was physically burning, but it felt like my insides were on fire.
I fell back, feeling like my body was smoking. I was taking some breaths, trying to cool off. And I was getting tired. I opened my eyes to see Danny managed to get close on the Ecto Skeleton and knocked out its weapons. He was trying to get Jazz out now. Vlad landed in front of me, probably intending to either finish me off or to take me to his castle.
When Vlad reached down at me, I quickly summoned my Plasma Rod and pushed back his hands. Vlad let out a yelp of pain when the plasma of the rod burned him. Only I could touch hit without it burning me since it was my own power. Vlad glared in frustration at me before he began firing his ghost rays at me. I used my Plasma Rod to try and deflect his ghost rays. I swing my rod, deflecting the ghost rays from me. Vlad began firing more aggressively, making it harder for me to keep up. Now each time I swing my rod at the plasma ray, they push me back.
Eventually, one of the plasma ray hit me in the face and I fell back. I hissed in pain as I looked up at Vlad. Vlad smirked as his hand sparked with electricity. He was planning to electrocute me.
"Hey Plasmius!" I heard my brother's voice shout. "Catch this!"
All of a sudden, a ball of green ecto energy slammed itself into Vlad's head, causing him fall away from me. Danny flew in front of me and helped me up.
"I got Jazz out," Danny said. "We hit the self destruct button, now let's get out of here before it blows."
"Yeah," I said with a nod.
I still had enough energy to fly. We both flew over to Jazz, who was standing in front of the now counting down Ecto Skeleton. We had about 10 seconds to move. Danny grabbed Jazz's left arm, while I took her right arm, and we flew away from the stadium and Vlad.
"Oh Butterfingers!" I heard Vlad yelling just before the explosion.
Looking down, I could see the explosion was enough to take out the stadium. But I knew Vlad would be fine, he could've easily gone intangible just before the explosion.
"Danny, let's take Jazz into the Specter Speeder," I said. "We can use it to get us home."
"Yeah, okay," Danny said.
Both of us turned intangible as we flew into the Specter Speeder parked just outside of Vlad's castle. We dropped Jazz into the driver's seat, before Danny took the passenger seat and I took the backseat and buckled up. Jazz started up the engine and took off, wanting to get out of there before Vlad recovered enough to come after us.
"Andy, are you okay?" Jazz asked me in concern while she was driving.
"Yeah, it looked like Vlad was doing a number on you," Danny said in concern.
"I'm fine. I'll probably be sore for a week, but I'll live," I said.
"I can't believe you went up against Vlad on your own," Jazz said. "That was really dangerous."
"It's not like I had a choice," I said. "Vlad was gunning for me after I 'betrayed' him. Besides, at least I managed to distract him long enough for Danny to get you out of the suit and hit the self destruct button. Now hopefully we'll never have to see that Ecto Skeleton again."
"Yeah, but you can't deny that it was a good thing to have against Pariah Dark," Danny said.
"Even though it almost killed you," I said and Danny gave a sheepish chuckle. "But right now, I'm more worried about the bloodstream nanobots Vlad injected in you, Jazz. We have to find someway to remove them, what's to stop Vlad from making another remote control to control the nanobots?"
"I'm sure I'll be fine, Andy," Jazz said.
"But we should ask Mom and Dad if there's a way to remove the nanobots from your system just to be safe," I said.
"And what will we tell them? Their old friend from college injected nanobots into our sister?" Danny asked. "Will they even believe us?"
"Probably," I said. "Mom would. What's wrong with telling them? It's not like we have to reveal we're half ghost to them, just that Vlad was crazy enough to inject nanobots into her."
"Andy's probably right, Danny," Jazz said. "It's best if we find a way to get these nanobots out of me before Vlad decides to use them to his advantage. For all we know, he could use this to blackmail the two of you."
"That's… a good point." Danny frowned. "I don't know, Dad may not take it too well."
"We'll find a way to tell them," I said. "I just want those nanobots out of our sister."
"Yeah… I really messed up, didn't I?" Jazz sighed.
Danny sighed before he said, "Actually, I'm the one who messed up. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. I should've just talked to you, like Andy said. Maybe we could've avoided this whole thing if we did."
"Still, I really was trying too hard to help you that I only made things worse," Jazz said. "I guess I was just so excited to finally be a part of the team that I just wanted to show you how helpful I could be."
"You are helpful, Jazz," I said. "You've been helpful long before Danny even knew we knew his secret. You took it way better than I did, and you always found subtle ways of helping him, even by just covering for him."
"So consider yourself a reserved member of Team Phantom," Danny said. "Don't try so hard, just do what you've always done, and if we need you out in the field, then don't try to be like Dad, please."
Jazz chuckled before she said, "Well, to be fair, I got most of my ghost training from our Dad. But alright, maybe I'll ask Mom to train with me some time."
"I'm glad you two finally worked out your differences," I said. "Maybe now I can finally relax a bit."
"Yeah, keep dreaming, bro," Danny laughed before sighing. "Tomorrow starts the Christmas season."
Oh…. oh no… I have nothing really against Christmas, but it tends to be the most…. troublesome and hectic time of the year. And for Danny… well… let's just say it's his least favorite holiday.
