DarkFoxKit: Last time was a slow chapter. I wonder if it'll be any better this time?
Andy: Who knows, but you've been giving me quite a work out lately.
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Oh? What kind of work has Fox been giving you?
DarkFoxKit: He means we've been using him a lot in our writing lately. Well we kind of have to make up for lost time, Andy. You didn't get updated in almost a year last time.
Andy: I know I should be grateful, but you have a tendency to torture me.
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Oh don't over exaggerate. We haven't even begun to touch upon the events that could torture you. Fox and I have an idea in the works for a certain episode that may just break your spirit.
Andy: Why would you even tell me that? It's like you're telling me I'm signing my own death warrant or something!
DarkFoxKit: Because it's funny. XP
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': And because the readers like seeing your reaction to things.
Andy: *Sighs* Can you two just get on with the chapter? I rather not spend too much time here. It gives you more of a chance to torture me here.
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': *Whispers to DarkFoxKit* I think next time we should stuff Andy in a costume or PJs or something before the AN, I think the readers would love it.
DarkFoxKit: *Whispers back* Yeah, we let him off easy this time.
Andy: Uh… so… I'll be going now. *Quickly leaves the room*
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Heh, well we can plan more later. Right now I think we should let the readers get to the chapter.
DarkFoxKit: Right. Go ahead and read, readers, we know you want to~
Chapter 50: Field Trip Disaster
Wow, Axion Labs was bigger than I remembered, they must've expanded since I was last here. Our class was lined up in front of a secured door that had green ecto shields on it, probably to prevent ghosts from phasing in. Mr. Gray, Valerie's father, was head of security again. I'm glad that Valerie's father managed to become head of the security again, though I guess that doesn't stop her from wanting to hunt down my brother.
Looking up at the walls, I saw a big portrait of Vlad Masters himself. Even in the portrait he looked pretty smug.
"Looks like Jazz was right when she said the labs were owned by Vlad," Danny whispered to me. "We better stay on the lookout for any traps. Knowing him, he has to know of our school trip here since he's practically always watching us."
"Now who's the paranoid one?" I quietly chuckled.
Our science teacher spoke up in front of the class, "Well class, it's very kind of Mr. Gray to give us a tour of Axion Labs."
"I was planning on showing you some of the cutting edge stuff like the thruster pack our labs developed recently, but after thinking about it, I realized that wouldn't be the best thing. So like planned, we will be seeing the robotics area, and the consumer product testing area," Mr. Gray explained. "Now then… shield's down."
As if commanded by Mr. Gray's voice, the ecto shield dissipated and the doors slid open. Our science teacher lead the class down the metallic hallway. However, as I was passing by Mr. Gray, he put his hand on my shoulder and stopped me. Danny stopped too.
"You go on ahead, Danny, I just want to have a quick word with your brother," Mr. Gray said to my brother.
"Is Andy in any trouble?" Danny asked.
Mr. Gray gave a hearty chuckle before he said, "No, no, I just need to talk to him about something. I'll be sending him your way soon."
"You go on ahead Danny, I'll catch up with you, Tucker and Sam soon," I said, hoping to reassure my brother.
"Alright, I'll see you in a bit, Andy," Danny said before he went to catch back up with the group.
When Danny left me alone with Mr. Gray, I looked up at him, "So what did you want to talk to me about, Mr. Gray?"
"I wanted to have a word with you about Valerie," Mr. Gray said. "Also, if you want, you can call me Damon, that is my first name after all."
I felt a bit nervous. Usually when fathers want to have a talk with boys about their daughter is when they get pretty hostile.
"Mr. Gray… Damon sir, I assure you that Valerie and I are just friends, nothing more," I said as calmly as I could.
"Don't worry, son, I'm not planning on having a stereotypical father talking to a potential boyfriend type of talk. I actually wanted to thank you for being there for her as a friend," Damon said.
I calm down a bit, "Oh, really? Well uh… I just wanted to be sure she had someone to lean back on, that's all."
"Well I am grateful for that. Thanks to you, she's been noticeably happier lately, which is what a father like me loves to see. She's more energetic and less… one track minded," Damon said. "The last time I saw her like this was when her mother was still… anyways, I just wanted to thank you and even wanted to extend an invitation for you to come over for dinner sometime. I am sure Valerie would love to have you over for dinner, and it's the least I could do for such a great friend of hers like you. Just try to keep your family's ghost weirdness away from her if you can."
Heh, the irony of that. "Heh, thank you for the invitation, Mr. Gray. I'll be sure to consider it."
"Well, that's all I wanted to say, we better get you back with your school group. By now, they're already looking at laptops that will be out on the market in a few months that are fire and waterproof," Damon said with a cheerful smile.
I nodded as I followed Damon down the hall to catch up with my class.
"Hey, Andy, where were you? You missed them dunking a PDA in a vat of acid, Tucker nearly cried when he saw it," Sam said with a chuckle.
"How could they so carelessly dunk a PDA into a vat of acid!? I know it was fine in the end, but still, how could they do that to a precious PDA?" Tucker complained.
"Hey Sam, I found a little dog over here," I heard Danny call out. "Oh hey bro, glad to see you've caught up."
"What's a dog doing in a technology lab?" Sam asked as she walked towards Danny.
Danny shrugged, "I don't know, maybe it's lost or maybe in training to be a guard dog? … I hope not, I don't need another Cujo incident."
I walked over to see what Danny was talking about myself. I saw other students went to see for themselves too.
When the group got over to Danny, they saw a small dog sitting there before a building behind it caught fire.
"Alright, Fido, rescue the human!" A voice said from a speaker in the room.
The dog's head popped up before it turned towards the burning building. Before anyone had time to react, the dog took off towards the burning building, running right in without pause.
"... that dog just ran into a burning building…" One of my classmates said in shock.
"What!?" I nearly jumped when Sam shouted. "No! Danny! Andy! You two need to do something! Go rescue that poor dog!"
"What do you expect us to do? Jump through the glass?" Danny said, trying to make it seem less suspicious to our classmates.
"Sam, relax, I'm sure that dog is fine," I quickly said, hoping to calm Sam down before she shouted something she'll regret.
Within seconds of me saying that, the fire in the building went out and what looked like an icy mist floated out of the doors and windows. Seconds after that, the dog emerged from the door, dragging a mannequin. The dog was a little singed, but otherwise it looked fine.
I sighed in relief when I saw the dog came out. "You see Sam? The dog's fine."
"Of course the dog is fine," Damon spoke up as he walked over to us. "The dog was built to handle high and low temperatures, it's also waterproof, shockproof, and acid proof. It is built to be both the perfect pet, and also a rescue dog that can help in any emergency situation."
"Built?" Sam asked, confused.
"I think he means the dog is a robot, Sam," Tucker said.
"That is exactly right," Damon said before he pressed a button and said, "Fido, go ahead and retract your fur to show this class your chassis."
The robot dog's fur started to shrink before it pulled into its body. Underneath was a metal body that looked just like a dog.
"As you can see, he is entirely artificial," Damon said. "He can do things that no normal pup would be able to do. He can jump multiple stories, run incredibly fast, and even pull and lift weight that no living being would be able to lift or pull."
"I wonder if Cujo would be jealous this robot dog pretty much took his place?" Danny whispered to me.
"Oh please no, we don't need another ghost dog rampage here," I grumbled.
"Fido here is currently still being worked on and there are plans for multiple lines of Fido including roles, breeds, and even other animals. There are already plans for a guard version of Fido and even a house cat version," Damon explained.
I looked over at Sam, I just hope she doesn't think this is inhumane or something that they're creating robotic pets. Sam didn't seem to be unhappy about it at least.
"The fur is artificial and can easily be repaired, and there are quite a few features that I can't mention at this time," Damon said. "But hopefully with robotic pets, we can cut down on domestic animal abuse as these robots would both be impervious to pain, damage, and have the ability to free themselves if need be."
"Now that's an idea I can get behind," Sam said with a smile.
"Robotic animals would also be able to take care of living animals if… let's say you were unable to because you were out of the house for longer than you expected," Damon said. "Now, let's move onto the next area."
We soon came to a screen that showed a jetpack floating in a chamber.
"Oh look, it's the X-23 Personal Booster Rocket!" Tucker said with an excited smile. "It has enough power to launch a single person into orbit inside 2 minutes! It's kept in the high security section of Axion Labs right next to the Cybertron Main Computer."
"That sounds like it would be painful," I said, cringing at the possibility of launching a person into orbit in just 2 minutes.
"Are you kidding?" Danny said, looking excited. "That's like a dream come true!"
"For you, Mr. Astronaut," I said, rolling my eyes. "I rather keep my skin on my body, thank you."
"Of course there is an accompanying spacesuit that goes with the X-23 that nullifies g-forces on the user so they won't black out or be torn to shreds by the speed. It even has built in oxygen packs that can last up to 2 days without a refill!" Tucker continued. "The combined cost of the X-23 and the spacesuit is nearly 10 billion dollars."
Yeah, who needs the science teacher when you have Tucker? Though our teacher doesn't seem to mind that Tucker's essentially doing his job, in fact he looks kind of happy about it.
"You sure know quite a bit about the X-23," Damon said with a smile as he walked over.
"Of course, I've kept an eye on it since it was just in it's planning phase," Tucker said with a proud smile.
A part of myself wondered if Dash would still call Tucker a Techno Geek if he was here.
"If you've kept an eye on the X-23, you'll love what is on the screen down a little bit further," Damon said, still smiling as he led the group to the next screen.
"... is that…?" Tucker asked in shock when he saw the picture on the screen. "It has to be… that's the Cybertron Main Computer. The most powerful computer in existence! It's also the most secure with a 25 thousand layered encryption system that is known to be completely unhackable. The only way to access it would be from the inside or if you were one of the few people in the world with clearance to log into it."
"Wow, sounds like something that's pretty much impossible to use for anyone," Sam said.
"Well of course, Sam with this computer you could control every computer, laptop, heck anything connected to the internet. Someone could control the entire world's power grid with the Cybertron Main Computer, that's why not just anyone has access to it," Tucker said like it was obvious.
I looked around and noticed someone was missing. "Danny… have you seen Valerie? I haven't seen her since the robotic pet thing."
Danny frowned and shrugged, "I guess maybe she went to the bathroom? I'm sure Valerie knows her way around here."
Tucker's PDA suddenly let out a loud static noise. Tucker frowned as he looked down at his PDA in concern.
"What's wrong?" Sam asked.
"I'm not sure… my PDA is acting a little wonky," Tucker said. "Must have some kind of interference here…"
"It's probably one of the tests going on in this huge building," Sam said with a shrug. "I mean it makes sense for there to be some kind of jammer in a lab that probably has top secret government funded projects going on."
Suddenly the lights shut off and the fire alarms started going off. I could hear my classmates screaming over the alarms.
"Alright, everyone, calm down, listen up, and you'll all be fine!" Damon yelled as he pulled out a flashlight. "We're gonna have to cancel the tour and head outside. I want you all to line up and follow me. Don't stray from the group, stay in line, and we'll all head for the nearest emergency exit."
I could feel someone pushing and shoving me around. The other students were having trouble seeing where to go. I was too worried to use my ghost powers to phase through everyone in case this lab has some kind of ghost detector. Where is Valerie? I hope she's alright. I felt someone grabbing my arm and pulling me through the crowd of students.
"Come on bro, use your powers a little so you can see," Danny said as he dragged me, he said it loud enough so only I could hear him.
Well, I could see Danny's eyes were glowing a soft green, so it should be fine to use those at least. I let some of my ghost powers come into my eyes, the darkness around me became much easier to see. I could see Valerie coming out of another door, wearing goggles, which I'm guessing are night vision goggles.
"Hey!" Valerie shouted at the other students. "Did you hear my dad? Stop moving around so much and just stay in line."
Unfortunately, as soon as the last word left Valerie's mouth, the fire sprinklers started going off, drenching everyone in water. Oh great, I was getting soaked.
"EVERYONE STOP!" Damon yelled before he let out a loud sigh that I could hear even over the screaming and fire alarm. I saw him reach down to his pocket and take out a walkie talkie before he spoke into it. "Fido! Come out here and activate your lights to help me guide these students outside."
I saw the robot dog hopping over in front of Mr. Gray before something extended from its back. As soon as it stopped extending, it turned on, revealing itself to be a large light source. The light source illuminated a large area around us.
"Alright, everyone, let's try this again. Line up into two lines and follow Fido and I. The sooner you do, the sooner you can get outside, stop getting soaked, and dry off," Damon said calmly yet firmly.
The students all calmed down and followed the illuminating dog. Tucker, Sam, Danny, Valerie and I were the only ones who hadn't panicked, but it wasn't easy getting through a crowd of panicking people. By the time we got out of the Axion Labs, we were all soaked.
"Ugh, I'm going to have to do the laundry again," I grumbled.
"What are you complaining about?" Tucker said. "At least you and Danny have an easier way to get the water off than the rest of us."
"They could always turn us intangible too," Sam said quietly as she walked over to us.
"Just not now, not in front of everyone," Danny whispered.
All the students were talking among each other, about what happened in the labs, what caused the sudden blackout and the fire alarms to go off.
"I'm sure it was nothing overly bad, probably just another experiment where the scientists didn't pay attention to everything…" Damon said with a sigh. "Alright, Fido, let's go do a headcount on all the staff. Make sure nobody is still inside."
"I'm glad his robot pet is a dog and not a bear," I said.
"What difference would that make?" Tucker asked.
"... I just don't trust bears," I grumbled.
"I thought your fear was only teddy bears and not actual bears?" Sam asked.
"Teddy bears are based on bears," I stated.
Before anyone else could say anything, Valerie approached us, "Hey guys. That was pretty crazy back there, huh?" Her night vision goggles were on her forehead.
Tucker and Sam looked at her uneasy.
"Yeah," I said. "I wonder what that was about."
"Like my dad said, probably a scientist getting carried away with tests," Valerie responded. "Sometimes he comes home with charred or shredded clothes all because of him having to deal with problems that the scientists caused."
"Yeah, but to cause a blackout and the fire alarm to go off?" I frowned. "They must've screwed up something big for that."
"Must've just been an energy test that caused some smoke to form which set off the fire alarm and sprinklers," Valerie said. "That's just one of the things that is worked on."
"So I'm guessing this mean the field trip is cancelled?" Danny asked.
"I rather it was," I said. "I don't want walk around in a high tech lab all soaked like this."
"Alright students, please gather around," Our teacher said. "It seems that due to the situation we will be heading back early. As this was supposed to take the whole day, you will all allowed to head home instead of having to spend the rest of the day at school."
I could hear just about everyone cheering for that.
"We apologize for the trouble," Mr. Gray said with a sigh. "We were hoping nothing went wrong this time. I do hope that your school will come back again on a day where we can make sure nothing crazy like that happens."
"Do not worry, Mr. Gray, I am sure the school would love to reschedule the field trip," Our teacher said.
"That will be something we'll have to discuss at a later date," Mr. Gray said. "For now, we should get these kids home."
Our teacher nodded before he spoke up, "Alright, everyone. Back to the buses so we can head back to the school. From there you are free to call your parents on one of the school phones to let them know to pick you up early or you can walk home, it will be entirely up to you."
After the Axion Lab fiasco, Tucker, Sam, Danny and I headed to the opera house where Juliette was. When we were away from public eye, we turned our friends and ourselves intangible to get rid of the water on us. Juliette was very happy to see us, and we spent some time hanging out with her. We didn't do much other than talk and clean up around the place.
It was getting dark by the time we headed back home. Tucker and Sam were already heading back to their place, Danny and I decided to just walk back home instead of flying.
"So Andy… we haven't talk about what happened last night yet," Danny said suddenly.
I lifted up my head and looked at Danny, "Hmm?" That was when I remembered that Danny had the same vision I did, I had completely forgotten about it. "Oh, right… actually, until you mentioned it, I had forgotten about it."
The visions came to me often enough that it just seemed normal. But my brother wasn't used to it, it was possible he was chucking it up to him being tired or just dreaming. So I'm surprised he decided to bring it up again.
"I guess that's normal," Danny said with a small frown. "I mean it's probably nothing."
"Oh… what did you think it was?" I asked, curious to know what Danny thought of that vision.
"It was like I was witnessing something from someone else's point of view," Danny said.
Really? All I saw was a vat of boiling liquid and heard voices. I thought to myself.
"I mean that other point of view was just staring at a cauldron or vat or something, but it was a point of view that wasn't mine," Danny said.
"Heh, it sounds like you had an out of body experience," I chuckled before sighing. "... Let's… talk more about this in our room. I don't want anyone else listening to us."
Danny gave me a puzzled look, "What? Why?"
"It's… not something that's… very easy to talk about," I answered. "Just trust me."
"And you think it would be easier in our rooms? With Jazz possibly barging in and not to mention our parents?" Danny asked in response. "We could go somewhere where there's less people."
"Well… we could go to the ops center," I suggested. "Mom and Dad rarely go up there anyways, and Jazz… well, you know how she feels about ghost hunting."
"That's actually a really good idea… why don't we go up there more to talk?" Danny said, surprised he never thought about it. "Let's just hope Mom and Dad didn't install any security cameras or anything up there after we had to… borrow it."
"Knowing them, they're more likely to install a ghost alarm instead of security cameras," I chuckled. "So we probably should go there the normal way instead of just flying in there."
When we got home, we just saw Jazz in the living room.
"Hey you two, Mom and Dad are in the lab, probably working on some crazy new ghost hunting invention," Jazz said with a sigh. "You two… better not go down there right now."
"Thanks for the heads up, Jazz," I said.
"We're actually gonna head to our rooms now. Do you mind not barging in tonight? If you need to come in, knock please," Danny said.
"If something important comes up, I'll need to come in, so I'm not gonna promise I won't barge in. Oh and Andy, I'm making progress on the idea I have for you and your phobia," Jazz responded with a smile. "I'll most likely have something next week."
"Your idea better not involve me hugging Bearbert," I grumbled.
"I won't be telling you my idea at all, Andy, I'm just going to implement it," Jazz said. "But don't worry, it won't involve Bearbert."
"That is still worrisome." I frowned. "But I suppose I don't have time to worry about that right now, I'll just have to keep any eye out for my crafty sister."
Though knowing Jazz, she can easily outsmart me when she wants to. She's not an overachiever genius for nothing after all.
"Well, let's get going, bro," Danny said to me. "We should hurry and get our homework finished before another ghost decides to attack."
Danny and I headed upstairs and into our room.
"So, we doing our homework first or going to talk in the ops center?" Danny asked.
"Let's talk first," I said. "It shouldn't take long."
"Alright, then let's go," Danny said.
Danny and I head to the ops center, using the elevator in the kitchen to get up there. We rarely come to the ops center, the most we ever used came here for was when YoungBlood and Ember had that brainwashing radio thing going on. It couldn't have been more than a few months since then, but it felt like it's been years now.
"Make sure to hit the elevator lock, we don't want anyone coming up after us," Danny said as we walked into the ops center.
I turned to the keypad next to the elevator and pushed in the lock. When I made sure everything was secure, I walked over to Danny. We both sat down on some chairs.
"So… do you know anything about that weird… image last night?" Danny asked me.
"Well…" I hesitated, it was so weird because Danny never shared a vision with me before. "I don't know how, but I think you got a vision of a possible future."
"A vision… of the future?" Danny asked, confused. "The only being I know that can see into the future would be Clockwork, and I think you told me you had visions of the future at one point, didn't you?"
I chuckled at that, "Yeah, well he's the Master of Time, that's pretty much a given. But… my future visions seem to be changing, and well... you just happened to pick up on it last night."
Danny looked at me for a few seconds before he asked, "So you still are having future visions?"
I gave a nod. Seems Danny's starting to pick up things faster, probably from hanging out with me.
"...And I happened to see one of those future visions you sometimes get…?" Danny asked.
"Yeah," I answered.
Danny frowned, "But why did that happen? How does your future visions work?"
I sighed before I said, "It's a bit hard for me to explain. You see... I wasn't sure what it was when I first started having these visions. They came rarely though, and most of the time I forgot about them. But lately they've been popping up more, and showing me different futures instead of just one. And then last night, you saw the same vision I had."
"When you shared your vision with me, it only happened when we touched, so maybe that's why I saw it too," Danny said, guessing as to why he saw my vision.
"Maybe," I said, it did make sense logically. "But it's never happened before… I guess maybe we have to be in contact with each other when a vision pops into my head for it to work. Although…"
"... What?" Danny asked when I paused.
"... That last vision I had with you," I said. "It's the first time I only saw one thing and heard voices. Usually I'd see everything that's happening in the vision."
"Maybe it wasn't as clear because you were sharing it with me?" Danny suggested.
"Maybe, I don't know how this works." I frowned. "I'm still trying to figure out why I'm seeing these possible futures in the first place. Dora told me it was because I wielded the power of Time itself for a short time, but I still don't know how it works. I can't control these visions."
"Maybe we should go talk to Clockwork or Dora. See if they can tell you a bit more about your powers," Danny said.
I gave a thoughtful look before I said, "Well, that would be ideal, but I don't want to bother them about this unless it becomes important or a threat later."
"Well what if your visions aren't your only time power? Who knows, you might start freezing time or time traveling suddenly," Danny said. "Didn't your future self have the ability to freeze time?"
"Dora said each Andy will have a different time power, so I doubt that," I said. "And anyways, I'll figure this out on my own time later. For now, we should get our homework done and get through school."
"Fine, but I would like to talk to them at some point. Think about it, if time is frozen suddenly and the ghost portal is closed, you won't be able to get to Clockwork," Danny said. "And I'd rather time not be stopped permanently."
"I don't think that's going to happen," I said. "If it does, Clockwork would come to us before it happens. But let's not think about a possible time frozen future. I've already got enough to deal with in school and being a ghost hunter as a ghost."
"Alright alright, I get it, I still want to go see them sometime even if its pointless. Now, let's get downstairs and do our homework."
"But…" I spoke up, catching Danny's attention. "Keep what you saw last night in mind. If it really was a vision of the future, then it's bound to happen soon. I've never had a future vision that happened any later than a day after all."
Danny frowned, but gave a nod. "From the way the voices were talking, it sounds like it will happen in a fast food restaurant. Maybe this time it won't be Nasty Burger, since whenever there are ghosts and fast food in the same situation, it's usually at Nasty Burger."
I had to think about that, Danny may be right that it won't be the Nasty Burger again since that place always had encounters with ghosts, whether it's for a plot or whenever we fight a ghost. I'm surprised teens still love hanging out there, they must love danger or something. But I still can't discount the possibility either, the fact that it seems to be a hotspot for ghosts gives it more of a chance to be infiltrated.
"Heh, who knows, maybe there's a Ghost Portal or something in that one Nasty Burger that draws all the ghosts there," Danny chuckled. "Especially since it's always that one Nasty Burger. It's never any of the other ones in Amity Park."
"Don't even joke about that," I grumbled. "Anyways, let's get back to our room before Jazz notices we're gone."
"She'll just think we're out on patrol or something," Danny shrugged.
"Knowing her, she'll overreact and think we got hurt in a ghost fight or something," I said with a sigh. "I know I would."
Danny just chuckled before he headed over to the elevator, unlocked it, and got in. "You coming? Or do you want a minute to brood in deep thought?"
"Hey, I don't brood!" I grumbled before following Danny into the elevator.
"Sure you don't," Danny laughed as I rolled my eyes.
After heading back to our rooms and doing our homework, Danny and I went out on a patrol. It was surprisingly quiet with no ghosts around, not even Box Ghost. It has been quite peaceful lately… should I be worried? Anyways, after we finished our patrol we got back home and headed to sleep.
The next morning, after we had breakfast with Mom, Dad and Jazz, we head off to school. We met up with Tucker and Sam, who were waiting for us so we could walk to school together as usual.
Everything seemed to be going on as usual, Tucker talking about a new PDA on the market, Sam ignoring him, Danny and I chuckling. Then when we went into Casper High's building, I took notice of something strange.
"... why are so many people making lovey dovey faces to each other?" Sam asked, looking away. "It's making me sick… all the love and happiness…"
"Yeah, it's like everyone is suddenly getting paired off," I said as I looked around.
All the girls were paired off with the boys. Of course I was used to seeing the popular kids hanging out with the popular girls, but it's not just them. Even average and kids who are considered as dorks and geeks were all paired off too. It was an odd thing to witness.
"I'm sure Valentine's Day isn't coming anytime soon, so what gives?" Danny asked.
"Well Valentine's Day isn't that far off, but this is still a bit early to be celebrating it," Tucker said.
"Yeah, it's still January last I checked," I said.
"Maybe they wanted an early start?" Sam asked.
"Every single one of our classmates?" I asked as she shrugged.
"Hey, this might be a good thing," Tucker said with a smile. "If everyone's getting the hots for each other, including the geeks, maybe I'll actually get to go on a date with a girl too!"
"Thankfully it looks like not all of the students are love struck," Sam said, trying not to gag at all the public displays of love.
Sam was right, there were a few other students who were off on their own. But that's the minority from what I'm seeing here. I then saw Mikey, the most nerdiest of nerds, walking by with a girl by his arms.
"Okay, Mikey can get a girl but I can't? I just reached a new low…" Tucker sighed.
"Hey, who knows, maybe Danny and Sam will start dating too," I said with a smirk, causing Danny and Sam's eyes to go wide. "I mean with how lovesick everyone is, it's only a matter of time before the lovesick bug bites them."
"Yeah…? And maybe you and Val will start dating as well?" Danny retorted, obviously flustered by my teasing.
"Yeah, maybe you and that ghost killing girl would go on a date," Sam grumbled.
"Hey, I'm just saying what I see," I chuckled. "Besides, Valerie's got other things on her mind. Going on a date with me would be the last thing she would ever do."
"Hey Andy," I almost jumped when I heard Valerie's voice speak up from behind me.
"Speak of the devil, we were just talking about you Valerie," Danny said with a smirk. "Good luck bro, Tucker, Sam, and I are gonna head to class."
With that, Tucker, Sam, and Danny headed off towards our classroom, leaving me alone with Valerie. I didn't even say anything yet.
"Uh… hey Val," I greeted, feeling a little embarrassed that she walked up on me so suddenly. "Um… so, I guess we should head on to cla-"
"Actually, there's something I want to ask you," Valerie said, looking a little nervous.
I blinked at her, "Oh? What is it?"
Valerie looked at me in the eyes and said, "Would you like to go on a date with me?"
Seruis: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Glad you know about Steven Universe and Garnet. She definitely helped inspire the multiple visions thing for Andy. Oh and if you're a fan of Steven Universe you will be excited to know that it returns April 9th!
Jewel moonstone: DarkFoxKit: It has been a little while, but thankfully nowhere near that bad as last year. If I could have any superpowers? Probably shapeshifting, and I would want it where I could gain the powers of whatever I shapeshifted into. That way I would be able to fly if I was a bird, or swim underwater if I was a fish, or run fast if I was a cheetah.
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': I'd choose the ability to control time. If I could have two superpowers I'd choose Time Control and Teleportation.
Luna Lillyth: DarkFoxKit: Yeah, it did happen on Valentine's Day. It's just too bad we couldn't have updated on the actual day.
ZAFTPrime: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': You'd choose Heliopolis even knowing the story? I know you said preferably the PLANTs but still, why would you choose the colony that gets destroyed by Kira due to him using weaponry not meant for indoor use? I'd probably want to be in the PLANTs so I would have less concern over being introduced to the vacuum of space. Don't worry, Juliette isn't a one off character, she will be a character that will need more flushing out over time. Who knows, perhaps she'll eventually join Team Phantom.
FireSoulKid: DarkFoxKit: Thanks, I haven't heard from the other reviewer who did call it garbage lately, but I'm thankful for your words of encouragement. I can understand that this story may be more for your taste than the other one, and that's okay. Anyways, I hope you liked this chapter too.
Mana: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Well we can't actually do that. Juliette and Clockwork have past interactions that haven't quite been the best… Juliette would prefer to keep herself distant from Clockwork. Sam learn magic? That would be kinda cool, she would probably be the one to dabble in the occult at some point considering her goth nature. What do you think, Fox? Would Sam with magic be cool? Hypothetically of course.
DarkFoxKit: Hmm… well, maybe. If we did have Sam use magic, she'd kinda be like Gwen from Ben 10.
Darkzdragon 'Onyx': I feel the need to say the good Ben 10, not the Teen Titans Go drawing styled reboot.
DarkFoxKit: Pearl84's Danny Phantom fanfictions are quite long, very long, and detailed. I even used some of the stuff I've seen from their fanfics, it works really well for my story. And I'm terrified of reboots now, they seem to butcher the series with these reboots instead of bringing them back and making them better. All because they think they need to cater to kids who likes stupidity and farts and violence. No wonder the generation is becoming a mess. Heh, I would think Andy may be a little similar to his 24 year old future self, but not as traumatized or bitter.
