"Dusk could hardly breath as his battle against Nightmare Moon waged on. His magic abilities were nearly drained,his body pushed to its near physical limits causing it to ache all over as he tried catch his breath. Getting tired young wizard? Need a break? Night Mare Moon mocked him. I will defeat you. Dusk Shine said to her. Oh really? she smiled. Dusk charged as much energy into his staff as he could as he prepared for anther round with the Princess of nightmares herself. Ha ha ha! She laugh. As both of them levitated off the floor and charged at each other. Just when they got close to one anther Dusk made a last minute teleportation and arrived near the 5 Elements of Harmony. Though they were suppose to be 6 Dusk knew he had to use his magic to summon the 6th and final element. The only Element of magic that can stop her. Tapping his staff the elements absorbed his magic power. No?! Said a horrified Nightmare Moon. Its over Dusk said to her. Your going back to the… He left the sentence unfinished when the Elements started to break a part one by one. No this isn't happening. As Dusk Dropped to his knees. Ha ha ha ha. I Guess after all this time the elements have withered away. Ha ha ha continued laughing. Dusk didn't say anything. He gathered the last of his magic as made a last ditch attempt to stop her once and for all. For Equestria and for Celestia. Dusk thought. As Both He and the Wicked woman of the moon,charged at each other for a last stance of who would be triumphant. An explosion shook the room pieces of debris and rock fell. Dusk laid on the floor hopping his last effort was effective but all that faded when he Saw Nightmare Moon,walking towards him completely unfazed by his attack. He ha ha ha she laughed. You know what. She said To him. You've impressed me. Instead of just killing you I'll make you one my pets. Yes… She smiled in delight. You will serve me when ever I need pleasure. She grabbed him by the collar of his coat. Soon both heard a female voice say. Get your Filthy loathing hands off of him you vile thing. Nightmare Moon turn her head and saw along with Dusk who it was. Dusk recognized the voice. It was Rarity. And she wasn't alone she was with 4 other girls of whom Dusk knew and recently met. You dare challenge me? The Nightmare Princess said. Let him go now! Said the blonde haired girl. Or I'll give you a taste of my fists. Ha ha ha you still don't know what i am truly capable of. As she summoned her magic into staff and pointed it at the 5 girls. Using what little magic he had left Dusk pointed his staff and soon a Force field formed around the girls. What's going on? Said a confused multi colored hair girl. Just as Nightmare Moons spell hit them. Causing yet anther explosion.

"Running through the grassy fields Dusk hurriedly ran to his home in Canterlot the capital city that was for the most wealthiest,most brilliant,and most gifted. While he was running a group of girls blocked his way. And one of them said to him. Hey it's you form the Academy. Did you remember? Moon Dancer is having a party. I have no time. Dusk said. As he rudely pass right though them. They watched Dusk as he continued running. What is with that guy? It seems like all he's interested in is his books and studying. Well looks like were going to the party without him. Said one them. And she can do better than him since its obvious he's already married to his studies more than anything else. As they walked off. Finally reaching his destination Dusk opened the door to his home. Inside he hollered Spike! Spike? He heard muffled nosies behind the door he opened. Removing the door Dusk saw his green hair imp assistant. There you are. Ughh Spike groaned. A wrapped box with a ribbon on top of fall out of his hands and onto the floor. Spike shook off his pain as Dusk asked him what the present was for? Well it was my gift for Moon dancer. He told him. Spike we don't have time for that. He ridiculed. But we were on a break. Ignoring his assistant he asked him to find a book. What book? The pointy eared imp asked. Prophecy and predictions. Climbing a ladder spike quickly found the book Dusk was looking for. Here it is. He handed it over. Good work. Dusk told him. Flipping though the pages he found what he was searching for. Ah here it is. Said Dusk. The Woman of the Moon. A powerful cannibalistic demon goddess who long ago was defeated by the Elements of Harmony and imprisoned on the moon nearly a thousand years. Curious Spike asked. What are the Elements of Harmany? I don't know. Replied Dusk. But here it says that on the Thousandth year on the longest day the Lady of moon also known as nightmare moon. Will escape due to the aid of the stars,and bring eternal night and vanquish the sun. Gasping Dusk knew the day of the event was going to happened. Th..Thats the day after tomorrow. He said frozen in fear. Big bro? Spike said concerned. But manage to snap him out his traumatized fear. Looking at his assistant he told grab a pen and paper. Already got it. Said Spike After writing and finishing the letter to send to Dusk's mentor/teacher, and ruler of Equestria herself Princess Celestia. Of the impending invasion that threatens the the land. Dusk checked to see if everything on it was perfect. After an close inspection he said to his assistant. Alright mail it. As the imp breathe it's magical green fire which caused the latter to evaporate. Are you sure about doing this big bro? Spike asked him. I'm sure. Dusk said confidently. Because prophecy or not. The imp told him. The princess will be too busy and I don't think she'll have time to read and.. Suddenly spike belched and a letter came out written by Celistina herself. See spike I told you she had faith in me. claimed Dusk. Now what does it say? He asked him. Does she want to scramble the troops? Evacuate the citizens? Get a life. What?! Dusk yelled. Reading further but not the whole letter Dusk threw it in the air in anger. Spike managed to catch it but saw that his brother was not happy what he read but asked Hesitantly. Big bro? Are you okay? After a moment of silence Dusk let out a scream of anger and frustration. It was so loud that outside several of Celestia's royal gaurds heard it.

Dusk and Spike were at a royal transport waiting to be transported out of Canterlot,and into a new town in Equestria much to Dusk's annoyance. The servants of princess Celistina soon came and helped them packed their stuff for their trip. Big bro? Spike said. Not a word out of you. Dusk said to him. Still grumbling from the letter he got from the princess. With that Spiked just sighed. After few minutes one the servants said to the brothers. Alright your all set. Ugh! Dusk said in disgust. When spike and him got into their transport and took off. For most of the trip Dusk sat in silence still very grumpy. With this Spike said to him. Come on big bro what's bothering you? He asked concern. Hearing brothers voice Dusk looked at him looking very grouchy. Seeing this Spike was afraid that his brother was going to scream but Dusk managed speak in an angry and annoyed tone. I just don't get it. He told him. Does my reputation count for nothing? After a few minutes they landed in the town square After getting off their pilot informed them there luggage will be unloaded,and packed to where they would be staying. But Dusk wasn't very interested in staying a year, little alone a single day where they be spending there night. In a little town called Ponyville. A town that got its name when the first settlers for unknown reasons breaded pony's,which were little horses about the size of a dog. Looking around Dusk asked spike of what their first task was on their list of me see uhh.. here it is check on the food at Sweet Apple Acres. He read. Alright let's just go get directions. Probably just the towns nutcase. Dusk replied. This place might be full of them so stay close. Looking for somone else to ask directions they found a girl who had green minted hair.
