3. "You should have known better."
"Where have you been?"
Edward blinked as he found himself wrapped up in strong arms; it wasn't at all the reception he'd been expecting. Nevertheless, he reached up and fisted his hands in Roy's shirt, burying his face against his chest. Edward couldn't believe that Roy even still wanted to speak to him and, for a few very long moments, he couldn't speak himself.
The words came out quiet and mumbled when he finally found his voice, "I thought that you wouldn't want to see me..."
The soft chuckle he felt more than heard was more than answer enough from the man, but he wasn't about to object when Roy bent down and kissed him.
