It was 8 am and Dusk sat down at the table and drank his herbal tea. It was the only thing to make him feel awake and calm his nerves. For it had been a long week of getting settling in,a week of balancing between his studies and hanging out his 5 new friends,and today mark the first week anniversary of defeating the evil abomination that was Nightmare Moon and gaining his new title as prince, Dusk didn't want to be acknowledge as this. Which is why he didn't wear his crown on the day he received it,and told the girls only acknowledge him as Dusk but Rarity continued call him her little prince despite his annoyance. And for some reason she kept wanting him to come to the towns spa saying it would put him at ease. Looking at the wings he received after being revived were even harder to get use to sense not only did he had to learn how to fly,they were hard to sleep with causing him to be sleep deprived, and interfering with his however enjoyed every minute of being in the new town they were in. He found Ponyville to be more fitting to him than Cantorlot. After anther rough night of sleeping Dusk awoke from his bed putting his usual attire on instead of the armor he got from castle. Spike was awake making breakfast and upon seeing brothers tired face and baggy eyes he asked. Anther rough night ? Dusk yawned as he responded. Yeah these wings are so hard to fold I don't know how Rainbow or Fluttershy do it. After making tea and eating breakfast a knock on the door was heard,wondering who it was Spike opened it only to see Apple Jack on the other side. Why Howdy there Spike Is Dusk here? Of course he is. Hey big bro! Hearing Spike call him Dusk left the kitchen only to see A.J. standing in the door way. Oh hi Apple Jack. He said. What brings you here? While Im harvesting some apples from the farm. She answered. And I need some help packing them into the barn before noon. Yeah but don't you have two siblings that can help you? Big Mac? Apple Bloom? Well… she explained. Apple Bloom's is at school and… She continued to say as she looked over her shoulder, as if She didn't want someone to over hear her conversation. And than she looked to Dusk and told him. And Big Mac won't help because this apple pickin is a Challenge,you see if I win he'll have to wear granny's Girdles all around town for the rest of day. She said with a giggle and smiled. Hearing this made Dusk think about the time Princess Celestia gave a royal Decree,by making everyone call him in class Mr Smartypants for one day. All because Dusk didn't want to do something that the princess wanted him to do. But that wouldn't be worse thing that happened to him in Canterlot but that was all in past now. Once there Dusk and A.J worked tirelessly bringing as many they could apples onto the wagon and sending them off to the barn finally after four hours they managed to get the last bunch loaded as they headed towards the barn for the last time. Even though Spike volunteered to go he didn't exactly help or lend a hand, he just stayed in the wagon checking on the apples to see if they were ripe enough to eat. Much to Dusk's annoyance. So.. Apple asked him. When you going to go practice some more flyin again? I don't know. Replied Dusk. Rainbow said she has a busy schedule this week. Yeah she told me she was too busy to help me with the apples before I asked you. A.J told him. So how you getting used to your wings? She asked. It's a slow adjustment Dusk replied. Still not used to flying with them let alone sleeping because they won't stay folded. Hey I found one. Spike said. As Dusk looked over his shoulder to see what Spike was up too. He held a rather large red apple in hands and without a second thought bit right into it. Mmmmm. Dusk said in annoyed tone. Stoping next to the barn he and Apple Jack took the last of the apple baskets and set them on ground. Spike soon entered saying…Ohhhh. As he groaned when he put his hands on his stomach. It's says as he read: Dear my faithful student Dusk Shine I'm writing this letter to inform you of the coming Grand Galloping Galla. An event I know you and your helper usually avoid,but sense now your a prince it is now mandatory that you show up to events like these and you can bring a guest if that makes you feel any better. Sincerely Princess Celestia. With that Spike let out a belch of green fire and a ticket came out. Grabbing it Dusk let out a sigh. Great. He said to himself. Now I have to attend these boring events. You've been to the Gala before? Asked Apple Jack. Yeah. Dusk replied. Me and Spike went their a few years back and let's just say we would rather be anywhere else's except there,which is why we left the Gala early. What is that She asked Dusk of what he was holding in his hand . Oh. He replied. This is the ticket to the Gala. He showed her. Celestia said I could bring a guest. Why? You wanna go? Go? Apple Jack smiled in admiration. It would be an honor,and getting all those rich investors interested in my business we would be able to afford many things around the farm and that's including granny's hip operation. Not so fast. Said the voice of Rainbow Dash. With that Dusk Shine and A.J turned to see her at the barns entrance. Rainbow. said a surprisedApple Jack . I thought you said you were too busy to help me harvest the apples around here. I am. Dash explained. Im just taking a little break and I came to see what's going on, and overheard a certain egghead prince has ticket to the Grand galloping Galla. Why would someone like you be interested in that? Dusk asked her. The wonder Bolts of course. Besides the usual snobbery the Wonder Bolts make an appearance there every year,and sense Nightmare moon spoiled my chances of showing off my moves at the Summer Sun Celebration. I plan to show them off this year at the Gala. Now hand me my ticket. Dash arrogantly said. Now hold a cotton pickin minute. Apple Jack argued. I was the one who asked him first. She told Rainbow. I get the ticket. She claimed. Now girls. Dusk tried to calm the both of 's handle this diligently. Heading towards the library Spike asked his brother if he made up his mind of who was he going take to the Gala. I don't know Dusk replied. But I'm leaning more towards Apple Jack sense she's wanting to go to the Gala for her family but… He started to say when suddenly he was tackled to the ground seeing this Spike yelled. Big bro! On the dirt with eyes closed Dusk yelled. Rainbow! What are you doing? I'm not Rainbow. Said the familiar voice of a curly pink haired girl. With that Dusk knew who it was when he opened his eyes her knees on his torso. Pinkie! He said surprised and annoyed voice. With that Dusk notice she was holding something golden in her left hand. I knew it. She said. As she stood off of him. You had the ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala. How'd you know? Dusk asked as stood . Pinkie pie told him. My pinkie sense told me. Pinkie sense? Let's go talk to Fluttershy maybe she has a solution to this problem. As both of them teleported away. Seeing this Apple Jack shouted. Stop! As the 4 girls ceased their fighting. Does anyone know where Dusk went off too? The 3 Girls looked to see where Dusk was but he was no where in sight. You know girls I think we been going about all wrong. A.J. told them. What you mean? As Apple Jack looked at the 3 girls who all nodded in agreement,and with that they set off to the Golden oak library however Pinkie Pie looked over her shoulder and could feel that Dusk was elsewhere but she sensed he would be there soon. Over at Fluttershy's cottage Dusk knock on the wooden door waiting for a response Spike took in the scenery and saw many bird houses and small animals in the area showing off Fluttershy's gentle personality. After a few minutes a crank at the door was heard and two teal eyes were seen. Dusk. Said Fluttershy as poke her head out . It's good to see you. She said to him. Oh. She looked down. You've brought Spike. As she hugged the small imp. Wanting to get down with Business Dusk Shine cleared his throat. Oh is there something you want to talk about? Yes well.. it's about the girls you see…After some explaining. Oh dear. Said Fluttershy. Yeah. Dusk replied. And I don't know who I should take with me I was more on taking Apple Jack but.. He sighed. Now now. Fluttershy told him. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. But who should I take? Dusk asked her. Well… She thought. The only person I can think of is myself butt.. How about you just ask the princess for more tickets that way everyone could go. Well I don't like taking advantage of my status with princess. Dusk told him. But I guess the decision would be up her. He stood up and said. Well we're off to the library. Dusk told Fluttershy. And oh before I forget. He said as he slid the golden ticket to her. With a flash Dusk and Spike were gone. Looking briefly at the ticket she received. Fluttershy said to herself. I better head over there too don't want things to get nasty. As she left her house and flew towards Dusk's home.
"Where could he possibly be? Said Apple Jack. As she and the rest of the girls wondered where Dusk could've gone. Don't worry Said Pinkie. He'll be here soon my Pinkie sense said so. Yeah but did your Pinkie sense knew where was before we came here? Asked Rainbow. Before Pinkie Pie answered. A flash of light appeared and before them Dusk Shine appeared with a surprise look on his face. See I told you he would arrive. Pinkie told Rainbow. Darling where have you been? Asked Rarity. I was getting some advice from Fluttershy. Dusk answered. But wait. He continued. What are you all doing here? We're here because we wanted to tell you about the ticket. Answered Apple Jack. Oh. Said Dusk. Well I was about to write to the princess about getting getting us more. You can do that? Said Rainbow. Of course I'm here student or at least I think I still am. Just let me write to her and hopefully will have this sorted. Are you sure? Asked Apple Jack. Of course I'm sure you guys came to me when I needed you the most and so think of this of me paying you back. After a few minutes of writing Dusk handed the letter to Spike who sent it out in his green magical fire, in less than a minute a reply from the princess came unraveling the scroll an impatient Rainbow Dash. Asked. Well what does it say? With that Dusk replied with a smile on his face as he showed the 4 golden tickets in his hand. Turns out Celestia said Yes. Oh darling your the best. Said Rarity. Yeah the best. Said. Pinkie. Always count on you egghead. Said Rainbow. You really are a sweat. Said Apple Jack. Just than the front door opened it was Fluttershy. Oh hi girls. She said.I wasn't expecting you. Yeah well egghead here just give us tickets to Grand Galloping Gala. Said Rainbow. And I'm sure the princess will give you one when Dusk ask the princess to….Apple Jack continued to say when Fluttershy interrupted. Oh that's okay. As she showed everyone her golden ticket. Dusk gave me the one he had before he came over here. Great! Shouted Pinkie Pie. Now we can all go. Group hug. No wait. Dusk protested but the girls already nested their arms on his torso. So warm. Dusk thought. After the hug Fluttershy notice something written on her ticket. Hey. She told he girls. She pointed at the title of ticket it read Dusk's special gust but it had been slashed over with a marker and read friend instead. The rest of girls looked over their tickets and title said the same thing. This gave the girls an annoyance including Dusk Shine who also took notice as they all knew this a prank set up by the princess. Breaking the silence Rainbow said. Well i gotta go deal with the clouds so see ya egg head. As she flew off. And I have a few other things to deal with at the farm. So you guys have a good one. As A. on her way. Those tasty treats at Sugar Cube Corner won't baked themselves. Said Pinkie pie. So byeeeee Dusky. As she scurried off. Now that we're all going to the Gala. Rarity told Dusk .I have to prepare our outfits I have something special in mind for you. she said wink before going out the door. I have to feed Angel and give him and the other animals a bath I see you said Closing the door behind her. Well I'm going to get some much needed rest. Dusk told Spike. You can do whatever you want just don't get into trouble. Approaching the stairs Dusk thought he heard his assistant grumbling about why he didn't get a ticket. Before setting his foot on the first step the young imp belched out green fire and scroll looking over his shoulder Dusk went over to see what's what. Yes! Spike said happily. What's going on? Hearing his brother the imp assistant saw dusk coming towards him. The new prince of Equestria saw his pointy ear friend trying to hide something. What is that? He pointed at Spikes covered hands. Having little Choice the small imp reveled it to be a golden ticket to the Gala. Pretending this was a force invite Spike changed his facial expressions and said in a sad tone. Well looks like I have to go too. He groaned and headed towards his cot. Dusk couldn't help but formed a small smile on his face as he thought. Oh Spike Spike you cannot fool me. When he went upstairs in his room Dusk prepared himself for short nap after anther crazy day.
