When they had been in the Collectors's warehouse, both youngsters had shared an enclosure, so the idea of having their own room was awesome seeing a huge bed with a desk and a window that looked out into the city, impressing them, thanking Howard hearing knocking on the door, making them nervous.

Both females were hiding behind the couch, with Shocket wielding a blaster, makijg Linda surprised, watching her dad open the apartment door, seeing a golden-haired man that was muscluar, wearing Asgardian armour relieving both kids, unaware that had spied Shocket, surprised deciding to tell Rocket, when he got back to the compound' making Howard smirk, as he had already sent Rocket a poto of Shockey, wondering what Thor wanted.
"I'm just surprised you've returned, with young ones, Man of Duck." he said.
"Yeah, we just got back, from out of town." Howard lied making Shocket smirk.
She knew that her uncle would not tell anybody, that he had been imprisoned in the Collectors's fortress along with her and Linda seeing Thor leave, relieving Howard, seeing them come out of hiding, hearing Linda ask, who that was he had been talking to, chuckling at Shocket saying, that Thor was a weirdo, unaware he and her dad were best pals, seeing Howard's phone going off, trying to fix the TV, seeing Shocket grabbing tools.
"Whoa there kit, what do you think you're doing?" Howard asked.
"Fixing this TV thijg, I can fix things, Tivon would have me do it-" she replied.
"Let her dad, isn't uncle Rockie good with tools, like her?" Linda added.

Rocket was surprised, hearing that Howard was on this planet, alomg with escaping from the Collector despite doijg Avenger stuff so would come over to Howards's apartment later, seeing Thor show up, telling him that Howard had a little rabbit with him, makimg him roll his eyes at him, knowing what Thor meant, remembering the photo, that Howard had sent.
Later, he was going over to Howards's apartment, and heard gigglimg, as he knocked on Howards's door, seeing Howard open the door, happy to see him in such a lomg time, since they were having takeout, hearing giggling, unaware that Linda had seen him, beckoning Shocket, hearing a voice that sounded familiar to the female kit, her brownish eyes went wide seeing a male raccoon that looked like the one in the photo her uncle Howard had shown her, back at the Collectors's warehouse.
"Dinner's here, guys, come and get it!" Howard said.
"Coming dad, Shockies's coming, plus she saw uncle Rockie." Linda said.
Rocket smirked at the female duckling, as she looked like Howard but very shy, his eyes then went wide seeing Shocket, as she looked like him with her big brownish eyes, her brown fur and tail, wearing armour like his, had the same sized paws except for the purple mohawk making Linda and Howard exchanging a smirk at Rockets's reaction.
"This is Shocket and yes, she's your kit." Howard said.
He then told his best friend how the Collector had made Linda and Shocket, makijg Rockets's heart warm, he had always wanted a kit like him seeing Shocket hug his furry leg makimg Rocket smirk, noticing Shocket was curious about him, showing him the photo thatHoward hadshown her makijg him chuckle tellijg herabouf himself whichshe loved, saying shewanted to still livewith Limda andHoward but wanted to bomd with him, stunned that she hadfixedHowards'sTV impressed, she wasgood with toolslike him.
"I told you so, he'd want you, Tivon was wromg." Linda whispered to Shocket.
"Yeah, you have a point, I owe you twenty units, that was our waher." Shocket whispered.
"What're they talking about, why does Shocket owe your kid twenty bucks?" Rocket asked confused.
"Shocket thought that she'd never find her real dad, so we made a waher about it, now she found you, I win." Linda told him, seeing Howard hand her a twenty dollar bill, seeing Shocket kiss jer makimg him get what Howard meant about the, being doulmates finding it very cute, seeing both kids rambunctious, even though it was past their bedtime, plus Howard sighed, he had gotten a last-minute case and was not leaving Linda and Shocket by themselves, he might not have an apartment to come back to, seeing Rocket roll his eyes.
"I'll make sure they're okay, it'll let me and Shockie bond." he said.
"I guess, this should be rich, you looking after kids." Howard said leaving.
Linda and Shocket exchanged a grin, seeing Rocket going into the kitchen, to make them a snack, hopimg that they would calm down because he wanted to bond with Shocket, finding milk in the fridge, alomg with chocolate-chip cookies, knowing that all Terran kids loved that, seeing Shocket quiet, making him understand as he came back into the living-room.
"Wow, milk and cookies, we've never had them." Linda said.
Rocket understood seeing both females eating cookies, drinkimg milk, seeing them yawning, making him smile, guessing it was bedtime, seeing Shocket rubbing her eyes with her paw, alomg with Limda rubbing her eyes with her feathery wrist going into their room, lying on their bed making Rocket understand, because it was hot.
He then kissed Shocket on her nose, makimg Shocket feel good on the inside, feeling sleepy alomg with Linda, seeing them out like lights, making Rocket chuckle softly, leaving their room, closing the door softly goimg to make himself coffee, knowing that he could tell Howard that taking care of Linda and Shocket was easy..
Shocket began to stir around four in the morning, after having a bad dream, noticing that Limda was sleepimg peacefully beside her making the female kit smile a little, kissing Lindas's feathered head before going to check on her dad, leaving the room quietly as not to wake Linda opening gheir bedroom door softly goimg to the living-room part of her uncles's apartment seeing her dad on the couch sleepimg, sitting beside him on the couch, lyimg beside him which made her feel better.
Linda woke up around sunrise, worried that Shocket was in trouble, getting off the bed, running into the living-room feelimg relieved seeing her asleep on the couch beside Rocket hearing the apartment door open, seeing her dad there back from whatever he had been doimg, surprised the apartment was in one piece and that Shockey was asleep beside her dad on the couch seeing Howarc put a finger to his beak, to signal to be quiet.
"We should make breakfast, kiddo." he told Limda seeing her nod.
Linda smirked as she was makimg coffee for her uncle, alomg with makimg pancakes for Rocket and Shocket alomg with her and Howard making him smile knowing that Rocket was beginning to like being a father, and knew that he was okay with this deciding to talk to him lAyer, after a while.
