Shocket was curious about why her dad was wearing a tux and why he was anxious thinking they were just having dinner together, unaware her dad's pretty lady, Lylla was coming for a date night so he wanted to introduce Shocket to her hoping his lil troublemaker would be okay letting Lylla in, like him breathing deeply seeing Casey with Shocket hearing Rocket telling his niece to help her cousin get ready making Shocket confused following her cousin to her room she lived in at the compound when not with Howard and Linda giving Casey an idea.
"Lylla's coming over and I guess uncle Rockie wants to introduce you, just pretend you're getting ready for a date-night with Linda, uncle Howard told uncle Rockie about those." Casey said seeing Shocket's furry cheeks go pink putting on her tux surprising Casey guessing her cousin was not into dresses.
"I wear a tux when I'm with Linda and nobody cares." Shocket said.
"I'm not judging but it's sweet." Casey said seeing her putting clip on earrings which added to her look hearing Rocket saying Lylla was here, noticing Shocket looking nervous following her cousin seeing Rocket impressed by his kit's style avoiding Lylla's eye contact worrying the female otter making Shocket notice the knuckledusters on Lylla's paws.
"No it's okay Rocket, they're helping me break the ice with her, Shocket I was in a gang and called Scruff." Lylla said seeing Shocket's eyes widen in awe.
"Sweet you were an assasin just like me, eh Mama Scruff." she said making Lylla giggle at that along with Rocket's reaction.
"Kits say the darnest things." Rocket said.
He noticed Shocket getting stressed, making her slip under the table trying to not have a certain mode activate, she didn't want to hurt her dad feeling her assasin mode activate making Lylla impressed but Rocket worried seeing her wield a blaster.
"What's gotten into her, she's been calm all day and now she goes off the deep end." Rocket muttered seeing Linda there saying Love in front of Shocket seeing her snap out of it dropping the blaster.
"No not again, please forgive me." Shocket said crying.
"It's okay, you didn't do harm, under assasin mode." Linda assured her making Lylla and Rocket exchange a look seeing Linda making a pina colada for Shocket to make her brain a little fuzzy.
"Thanks Ducky, did you sense something would happen." Shocket asked.
"You could say that, drink it all up, it'll help you." Linda to,d her.
After drinking, Shocket was calm yet sleepy in the female duckling's arms as Linda kissed her furry cheek knowing from Howard those two were soulmates listening to her explaining about Shocket's assasin mode and how a certain phrase triggered it along with the deactivation phrase.
"Poor Shockie, but now I know, we can help her." Rocket said.
"Yeah but she's an natural in that state." Lylla replied to him.
The next morning, after waking up Shocket noticed Linda was here wondering what was happening not remembering much of last night, when she had slipped into assasin mode feeling a headache from the cocktails relieving Linda and Rocket she was alright seeing her joining them for breakfast, smirking drinking coffee while eating pancakes that had a feel-good message on it in chocolate-chip shavings.
"We'll help you with things, what does the pancake mean." Shocket asked.
"Your dad means the little thing you slip into sometimes." Linda said seeing her flinch knowing her dad knew about her assasin modefeeling her squeeze her paw in reassurance which Rocket saw understanding
