Here you go :) Enjoy!

"Damon!" Elena screamed in a mixture of surprise and dread. Her heart was making loops in her chest. She had just left her bathroom, after taking a long shower. Her hair was still wet but, fortunately, she had already dressed. Anyway, this doesn´t really protected her from the feeling of exposure that overcame her the moment Damon´s eyes fell on her. He was sitting on her bed, her teddy in his hands, while his eyes scanned her appearance carefully as if he had no care in the world. He was wearing a tight blue T-Shirt that brought out the blue of his eyes but also somehow made them look colder. Like ice at the brink of cracking. Elena could feel Goosebumps appear all over her skin, asking herself how he was able to totally bring her out of concept with just one look of his. He shouldn´t have such a strong effect on her, she thought with desperation.

Taking a deep breath, Elena tried to calm herself. She needed to be in control right now. There was no way in hell she could allow him to get the better of her this time. Not with the recent developments.

"What are you doing here?" she asked him, feeling proud of how nonchalant she sounded.

Damon smirked at her, while he slowly put her teddy bear aside and sat up. His eyes were still scanning her. "You hurt me, Elena. Aren´t you happy to see me?", he asked her with a laugh, clapping his hands together in front of his body and leaning forwards. "I thought we were making progress in our relationship."

Elena crossed her arms before her body. She eyed him skeptically. "Progress? I have no clue what you are talking about."

Damon rolled his eyes, finally pushing himself up "Oh you know," He said, making a few steps in her direction. He seemed to be in a playful mood which irritated the hell out of Elena. "Getting closer to each other, telling us our innermost secrets."

Elena sighed. "You´re delusional," she said with a stern look. "And now get out."

"You wound me, Elena", Damon laughed, but Elena wasn´t having it. She stood a bit taller and faced Damon with all the authority she could muster up. If he thought she was going to back down he had another thing coming. She pointed at the door. "Get out!", she repeated forcefully. "I´m not in the mood to talk to you! At all."

Damon raised an eyebrow. "Even if I have news about Stefan?"

A big smirk started to appear on his face while he watched Elena looking away and biting on her bottom lip. They both knew that Stefan was her weak point. If he had news about Stefan, she needed to hear them. She desperately wanted him to be alright again. Elena sighed in defeat.

"Alright, tell me what you know."

Damon smiled at her, but the smile seemed a bit forced. "He´s better," he told her. "Turns out, against all odds I might add, that he actually is able to control himself and his bloodlust. Maybe it´s because of the never-ending love he feels for you, or something similar shitty."

Elena wasn´t really listening to Damon´s insults. All she heard was that Stefan was better, that he was finally himself again. For the first time in days, she felt hope. If Stefan was back to normal, things would get back to how they were. She couldn´t really believe her luck. A big smile appeared on her face. If she was honest, she had actually expected bad news. "But this, this is great!" she laughed, her mood lightening up extremely. "This means he´s going to be himself again?"

She could see Damon´s eyes narrowing a bit by hearing the pure joy in her voice but ignored it. No one was going to ruin this moment to her. And especially not…him.

"He has stopped drinking human blood if that is what you want to know," Damon quipped. "For a while it seemed bad but he somehow managed to come over it. Now he is all back to his boring self."

Elena shook her head, couldn´t believe her luck. Everything would be back to normal now. She could finally forget all the worries that had kept her awake the last nights! With a sudden determination she grabbed for her purse and the keys of her car.

"What are you doing?" Damon asked her, his eyes narrowed. Elena didn´t even look at him. "I´m going to see him, of course." She said, while her thoughts were already on what she was going to say to Stefan, how they would finally be together again. She was almost out of the door when suddenly Damons hand shoot out, closing the door forcefully right before her face. It fell into the lock with a defying boom. Very slowly, Elena turned around to him, shooting him the best angry glare she could manage. "What the hell are you doing?"

Damon´s eyes burned right back at her. If anything, she was taking off guard by the anger she could see in them. "That´s it?" he asked, his teeth gritted. "This is what you are going to do? Stefan almost killed, Elena! Hell, maybe he did kill, and we don´t even know it… and now all you are doing is running to him and just forgiving everything?"

Elena knew that he had a point there but still Damon was the last person with whom she wanted to talk about it. "You and me both know that that wasn´t him, Damon. He wasn´t himself. The Stefan I know would never do something like that. It was the monster inside of him."

Damon laughed a cold chilling laugh. "Of course," he said, still shaking his head. "Of course, you are forgiving Saint Stefan. It doesn´t matter what he did because well… it is Stefan! Stefan who always gets everything he wants." His eyes were shining with suppressed anger.

Elena felt the first pits of fear starting to take root in her. Anyway, she tried not to show it. Damon was all talk, she thought to herself. He would never really act on it. At least she hoped he wouldn´t. She did remember the thing with the necklace all too well.

"I have no idea what you are talking about," she told him carefully.

Damon laughed. "You really don´t, do you Elena?" he said with a hatred she had never heard before. Elena just looked at him blankly, no idea what it was she could say to calm him. "Damon…," she began slowly but before she could continue, he had already put a finger before her lips, silencing her. He looked right into her eyes and Elena felt Goosebumps appear all over her body. "I am talking about you, Elena." Damon finally admitted as the silence became too heavy. "Stefan can do whatever he wants and still you come running right back to him. And I…I tried over 100 years to rescue Katherine and still it didn´t matter at all. Tell me how this is fair?"

Elena looked at him. She looked at the handsome man who had experienced so much pain in his life. He was right, she thought sadly, it wasn´t fair… but it wasn´t her fault either. And even though she could understand that he was heartbroken… he still had no right to act like he did. "Look Damon", she began carefully, gauging his reaction. "I´m sorry for what happened with Katherine, you can believe me…but you need to stop acting like that. I am not Katherine, ok? I love Stefan and nothing will ever change that."

Damon sighed. The anger had faded a bit from is voice, but still a coldness remained that was totally unknown to her. He didn´t act like himself at all. "I know", he finally admitted, his voice calm, but somehow that made it all scarier. He looked at her and the determination she could see in his eyes made her heart beat faster with fear. "But Elena, you have to understand that I have enough." His eyes bored into hers. "I have enough of always being second choice. And I am fucking tired of never getting the girl." Now Damon was really scaring her. He seemed to have lost it completely. Elena glanced at the door, calculating her chances of escape. They weren´t high, that much was awfully clear.

She carefully took a step away from him. Her heart was doing loops in her chest. Very slowly Damon cocked his head to the side, watching her with a small smirk on his lips. "You are afraid, Elena, aren´t you?" She bit on her bottom lip. Tried to shove it back, tried not to show him that yes, she really was afraid.

"Can you blame me? You are acting crazy."

Damon let out a cold laugh but Elena wasn´t quite finished yet. She felt the intense urge to make him understand. It was this or…she wasn´t even sure. "Damon look… You obsessed over Katherine, even though somewhere deep inside of you, you knew how she really was, how she used you. But still, still you ran after her as if she held some kind of key. But I am not Katherine and I care about you, so there is absolutely no way that I am going to use you as she did." She looked deep into his eyes. "I am not going to let you think that there is a chance for us when there is none. At some point, you just must understand that there is no us, that there will never be an us and that you will only get hurt if you continue this." Elena looked at him sadly before making another step in the direction of the door.

Damon was watching her move, his face void of all emotions. She had reached the door now and looked back at him for a moment. "You have to understand Damon, that if you need a friend, I will be there. I will help you if I can, that much I can promise you. But I love Stefan. And it will always be him."

Elena waited for a reaction but there was none, so she decided that this really was her cue to leave. She somehow felt silly by leaving him in her own bedroom, but some voice in her head told her that it would be a very good idea to get to Stefan as fast as she possibly could. There at least, she would be safe. Away from this hunting look in his eyes that were still following her every step.

Again, Elena grabbed for the doorknob. She could feel Damon´s eyes on her, watching her and tried to suppress the fear she was feeling in the depth of her stomach. She and Damon just needed some time away from each other, she thought. After some days, Damon would have calmed down a bit, she was sure of it. Then things would get back to normal.

But unfortunately, it didn´t seem to be this easy. The moment her fingertips touched the doorknob, she could hear Damon´s cold laugh reverberating through the room.

"You really think, I will let you leave, don´t you Elena?" he asked, his voice sounding slightly crazy. It was as if something had snapped and now she was looking at a different version of Damon. A version that was somehow darker. He took a slow step in her direction and somehow the way he was looking at her, with such a hunger as if she was his next meal, made Elena snap. She felt adrenaline rush through her system while she understood that she really was in trouble right now. Her instincts were taking over and the only clear thought left was that she really needed to get away right now. Without further thinking about it, she hectically opened the door and was already sprinting down the floor. Her feet flew over the stairs, running downstairs, while she asked herself how it had come to this. She had thought she could trust Damon and now she was running away from him, feeling more afraid of him then she had in weeks. Her feet touched the bottom of the ground floor and without looking back Elena ran in the direction of the door. There were only three meters between her and the exit left, when she was suddenly grabbed from behind and whirled around. She screamed in panic, before feeling her back connect with the wall. A pained breath escaped her, and she tried to move away, but Damon was already there, much too close for comfort, pressing her body against the wall with his own. His hands were on both sides of her face, effectively caging her in.

"Let me go!" Elena screamed at him while she struggled to free herself, but Damon was too strong. She could hear him chuckle darkly and felt her head shaking in disbelieve. This just couldn´t be. It couldn´t happen. She simply needed to get away. Elena doubled her struggling, pushing against his chest in a frenzy. "Damon, get away from me right know!" she screamed at him, but he seemed totally indifferent to her struggling. "Oh come on, Elena, calm down", he chided easily as if she was acting childish. But Elena didn´t even think about it. He was much too close for comfort and she just wanted him gone. She needed some space. Her eyes found his and she glared at him with all she had. In this moment, she totally and absolutely hated him. "How about you put your hands away from me first, asshole," she screamed right into his face and when he didn´t react she lost it completely. Full of an anger she had never felt before, an anger that was even overrating her fear, she raised her hand and slapped him right across the face with all the force she could muster up. Damon´s head snapped to the side and Elena felt a sudden sharp pain in her hand but ignored it. At least this annoying smirk was finally gone from his face, she thought with dark satisfaction. She could see a bright red handprint on his face and felt a sudden pride. God, she just hoped it hurt. "You are such a jerk Damon," she spat at him and tried again to slip away from his grip, to finally get some space. Anyway, the moment she moved, Damon seemed to snap out of his surprise and before Elena could manage to escape, he moved, snatching her wrists in his hands, bringing them over her head. In one swift movement he had taken a hold of them with just one of his hands, securing them over her head and making it impossible for Elena to escape.

His body was leaning closer to her now, his front almost touching hers. "This was the third time," he breathed, making Elena´s breath hitch by hearing the suppressed anger in his voice. His eyes were shooting daggers at her and it dawned on Elena that she might have made a huge mistake. Anyway, she tried to ignore the sudden fear she felt by seeing the anger in Damon´s blue eyes. She just couldn´t show him any weakness, she thought. Taking all her courage together, she glared right back at him. "And you deserved every single one of them."

For a moment Damon just looked at her with an expression she couldn´t interpret, then just as it has disappeared his good mood seemed to be returning. He shook his head and barked out a laugh. "You know, I do like this fire of yours", he said with a smile, while he eyed her face carefully. "And it is just adorable how you think you can fight me. Like a kitten thinking she was a lion."

If there was any way for him to make Elena even angrier, he had officially done it. She just couldn´t believe the nerve he had. "You are just sick," she spat at him, not even trying to hide the overwhelming anger she felt. Damon still smirked at her. "But you love it."

"I love it?" she replied incredulously. "Are you really this delusional Damon? I have no clue what you are thinking right now, but whatever it is, I am not going to play this game with you. Which is why I am going to be really clear now." She focused her eyes on his, giving him all she could with just her look. "I don´t and will never ever want you to touch me, Damon. And with the way you are acting lately, I also don´t think that I want to talk to you or be friends with you either. What I really want is for you to put your hands away from me and be gone."

And in this moment, she meant it. She would be happy if she would never have to talk to him again.

Damon also seemed to realize that she meant every word she had said. She could literally watch the smirk being whipped right off his face, leaving an expression behind that she could just describe as cold. His eyes were glaring at her with an anger that was certainly matching her own and she could feel his hand which was holding her prisoner shake lightly.

"You never want to see me again?" he repeated lowly, his voice betraying nothing of his emotions. Elena nodded slowly, never even breaking eye contact.

For a moment Damon remained silent, then very slowly a more than scary smirk started to appear on his handsome face. "Well…," he said slowly while he raised his free hand and carefully tugged a strand of Elena´s hair behind her ear. His eyes were staring deeply into hers and what she saw there made her more afraid than she had ever been before. "it is good then", he whispered into her ear "that the time where you can make your own decisions is over now. They´ve become kind of silly lately, anyway."

Elena wasn´t sure what she just heard. She looked at him with big eyes, not wanting to believe what he was saying. "You´re insane…" she breathed with a final dark realization, still not wanting to believe it. It had to be some kind of joke or something like that, she thought. It just had to be…

But Damon didn´t look as if he was joking. The smile he was giving her now was maybe the scariest yet. "Insane? Don´t you realize it, Elena? You have opened this window yourself when you offered yourself to me like you did." He smirked. "How could I deny a present like this?" he shook his head, smiling. "It´s not my fault that you keep making silly decisions, but this is going to end, believe me. Now be a good girl and take of your necklace, will you?"

Elena opened her mouth to argue, to tell him that he could go to hell, but then she felt Damon release her wrist from his hold and to her outer horror she could feel her hands wandering to her necklace without her permission. She desperately tried to stop it, but she simply couldn´t fight his earlier compulsion. The last thing she wanted to do was to take off her necklace but her body simply didn´t seem to obey her. Before she realized it, she had already opened the clasp of her necklace and took it off, offering it to Damon. Damon took it in his hand, careful not to touch the bracelet and smirked at her. "Ah, I love compulsion", he laughed, looking much too smug for Elena´s liking.

This wasn´t good, Elena thought with dread. No, not good at all. She was totally at his mercy now…but still there was a little part of her that hoped that Damon wasn´t really going to use it against her. Just a few weeks ago, she had been so sure that she could trust him. And even after this thing with the necklace she had still not been able to really give up on him. Then there had been the whole affair with the tomb vampires kidnapping and torturing Stefan and of course after this Stefan had lost control of his bloodlust. And in all those times Damon had been there for her. He had helped her. Then, of course, there had been the dance at the Miss Mystic Falls competition and maybe that had been the moment where Elena had decided to forgive him that he had compelled her. She had felt closer to him than ever before… but now she felt like the biggest fool who ever walked on earth; because still, after everything that had happened today, she still wasn´t ready to totally give up on him. "Come on, Damon, this isn´t like you", she told him carefully, hoping to see a crack in his mask. "I know you are better than this. Please don´t do this."

Damon laughed humorlessly. "No Elena, that is where you are really and totally wrong. This is exactly who I am."

Elena shook her head. "No, that´s not tr…" but Damon interrupted her before she could finish.

"Of course, it is true! Don´t you understand? Did you really think that all your talk about making the right choice, being the better man, meant anything to me? I did you the favor because I thought that maybe you would finally admit to this attraction between us. Hell, I´m sure you´ve felt it too while we danced. I thought with some time, you would finally see it and give in to what I could give you." He shook his head as if this was the greatest joke, he´d ever heard. "But this is not what is going to happen, is it Elena? You will continue to lie to yourself, no matter how fucking strong this attraction between us is."

"Damon, I already told you that I love Stefan."

Damon rolled his eyes at her. "Yeah, I heard you the first time," he brushed it away as if it were nothing. "And I understand it now. I understand that you will not admit it, at least not in the close future. And I also understand why."

"And why, would you think, is this, Damon?" she asked him sarcastically. "Please enlighten me."

He smirked at her. "Because you are afraid. Stefan obviously is the safer, even though boring, choice. You deny yourself the pleasure of what we could have, Elena, because you are too afraid to take a risk."

Elena shook her head in denial. That was definitely the most ridiculous thing she had heard in a long time. If she needed another confirmation that Damon had gone insane, this statement had really done it. Before she could help it, a hysterical laugh escaped her mouth. She had no clue how to deal with this. Damon´s eyes narrowed by seeing her reaction but Elena simply couldn´t stop herself. The words blurred out of her mouth before she even thought about it. "I´m too afraid?" she asked. "Do you even listen to yourself Damon? Here you are, threatening me, acting absolutely insane and you think the reason I don´t want to be with you, is because I am afraid to take a risk? Maybe the fact that you are a psychopathic, narcistic, egoistic mass murderer might hit closer to home. The truth is, Damon, that I wouldn´t even want to be with you when I had never met Stefan. It´s not even that I love him more, I simply can´t stand you!"

Elena had spat her words at Damon, intent on hurting him as much as possible, but it was only after her words had ebbed away and a total defying silence followed, that she realized that she might have made a mistake. She looked into Damon´s eyes and all she could see was an unfiltered, total, unbelievable anger. His eyes seemed almost red, the look in them so murderous that she really wasn´t sure if he would suck her dry right here and now. She wished he would say something, maybe even yelling at her, anything but this silence but all Damon did was stare at her. She could see his hands clenching and unclenching in a scary rhythm and she was sure he was fighting to control himself. Elena didn´t want to know what would happen if he would lose this fight.

Seconds went by, then minutes and still he was just looking at her with this anger blinking in his eyes. Finally, Elena couldn´t stand it anymore. "Damon," she said slowly, while her heart was beating wildly in her chest. "Maybe this was a bit harsh…"

She could see him breath in and out while he looked at her with a guided expression. Finally, the tension seemed to slightly leave his body. He shook his head. "It doesn´t matter", he finally said as if he was trying to convince himself. Elena felt relief flooding through her body, feeling that the immediate danger was over now that he had calmed down. Anyway, this short moment of relief was quickly destroyed when he opened his mouth again and the next sentence left his mouse. "It doesn´t matter if you love me or not. You are going to be mine one way or another. We will have time. And one day, you will love me. You´ll see Elena."

Elena felt her mouth plop open in outright disbelieve. "What?" she breathed, while her brain tried to give some sense to his words. Damon greeted her with a dark smirk. He was leaning closer again, his eyes locked on her, reminding her effectively of the weak position she was in. He could make her do whatever he wanted with just some words of his and Elena was more than aware of this fact.

Anyway, Damon didn´t seem to intent to use his compulsion on her. At least not right now. "Do you remember the night after the football game just a few days after I arrived in Mystic Falls?"

Of course she did. How could she ever forget it?

"You tried to compel me to kiss you."

Damon nodded with a small smile on his lips. He was leaning even closer. Only inches were separating their lips right now. Elena had the sudden urge to lean away; to bring some well needed space between them but the wall behind her made it impossible to back off any further. "Damon…," she whispered pleadingly, but he ignored her.

"I had had enough of Caroline already. She simply annoyed the hell out of me, making it really difficult not to kill her. Which is why I thought it might be time to change the game. You seemed just as good as Caroline for what I had in mind plus I liked you much more. Not to forget that taking you would really have gotten to Stefan."

Elena gulped. When it came to Damon, the things he had done to Caroline always were kind of a sore spot for Elena. It had been hard for her to forgive him how he had used her friend. In a way, she had never really thought that he might have planned to use her in just the same way. Ok, he had wanted to kiss her, that much had been clear. But compel her to think that she was in love with him? Maybe she was naive, but it had simply never occurred to her. Now she felt more than stupid.

Damon seemed to have caught the surprise that had flickered over her face because she could hear him snicker. "What Elena, that should have been obvious, shouldn´t it."

Elena looked away from him, feeling kind of embarrassed. How could she not have seen it? "Maybe", she admitted, before forcing herself to look right at him again. "But you have changed afterwards, Damon. I know you have. Please don´t destroy it now."

Damon barked out a laugh as if she had just made a great joke. "And still you don´t get it, Elena", he told her. "I have not changed, not at all. The entire "playing hero thingy" was just for your benefit. Maybe I even wanted to impress you, who knows what I have been thinking." He shook his head, clearly couldn´t understand himself. "But lately I have started to see things clearer again. You might not know it but after I have realized that I couldn´t compel you, I had a little talk with my saintly brother. You know what I told him?"

Elena silently shook her head no.

"Well, I told him that if I couldn´t compel you, I might just as well seduce you the old-fashioned way or…" his smile grew even more evil. "I might simply eat you."

Elena watched Damon´s eyes wander to her neck that was exposed to him. She could hear him breath in, as if he was gauging her scent and she was sure that if she wouldn´t be leaning against the wall, she might just as well collapse right now. Her lips were trembling while she looked at him, hoping more than anything that he was only trying to scare her, that he was not really thinking about…no she couldn´t even allow herself to think about it.

Damon smirked, obviously pleased that he had succeeded in scaring her. "Don´t worry", he mumbled, his breath washing over her face. "Killing you definitively is the last thing in the world I´d want to do." As if this was calming at all… Elena thought silently while her thoughts were spinning, trying to find a way out of this… when she was sure about one thing than that she didn´t want to hear Damon´s next words.

But Damon didn´t seem to care. He was still looking at her as if she had some kind of answer. Or maybe as if she were the most delicious thing he had ever seen. Elena couldn´t be sure. To her outermost horror Damon leaned even closer to her, now really eradicating any space that was left between them. His lips were so close to hers that even the slightest movement would cause them to touch. His eyes were finding hers and they were all she could see. They caught her in their spell and there was no way in hell Elena could have looked away, no matter how desperately she wanted to. "In the last weeks I kind of drifted away from the original plan and I have just recently realized how much of a mistake this has been. I really should have stuck to it right from the very beginning." He whispered against her closed lips. "Just imagine how much unnecessary pain I could have avoided." He smirked. "A few months ago, I couldn´t compel you because Stefan had given you this damn vervain necklace but since you have so foolishly given up on this protection, I decided to get back to the original plan like I should have all along."

Elena´s heart missed a beat as she heard his words. She knew perfectly well what he was telling her. This just couldn´t be, she thought with desperation. This couldn´t be happening to her. Not after the progress he had made, not after they had become something close to friends. But it was all too obvious now, that Damon didn´t care about their friendship. Maybe he never had.

Elena desperately wanted to say something, to somehow talk him out of this, but she was still caught in the spell of his eyes and somehow didn´t manage to form a coherent thought, let alone speak. "And maybe", he whispered, "we really should get right back to where it all started." At first Elena didn´t understand what he meant but when he started talking again, a dread she had never felt before started to fill her body, because she knew these words. She had heard them before.

"You want me." Damon told her. "I get to you. You find yourself drawn to me. You think about me even though you don´t want to think about me. I think you even dreamed about me." He smirked at her, knowing full well that she recognized the words he had just spoken to her before he focused his compulsion, his eyes contradicting with the power behind them. "And right now, you want to kiss me."

His words echoed in her head while she watched him leaning closer, eradicating the last centimeters between their lips and even though a very little part of her mind screamed at her, that this wasn´t right, that there was something really wrong about kissing Damon, the overall majority off her body was telling her to kiss him. She wanted this, she thought. She wanted to kiss him desperately. In fact, she needed it.

Elena could feel Damon´s soft lips touching hers and she was lost. Without being able to restrain herself she returned the kiss, giving in to the voice in her head that told her that this was the right thing to do, the only thing to do. She could feel Damon´s arms closing around her, pulling her closer to him and kissing her with all he had. The pressure on her mouth tightened while Damon took control of the kiss. She could feel his tongue pushing against her closed lips and opened them for him, giving him access. She was rewarded with a groan from Damon while he pushed his body even closer to her, kissing her as if she were his lifeline, as if he would drown without her. And Elena was returning the kiss with the same favor. She was kissing him as if it were all that mattered and in a way it was. She could feel his hands running down her body to her ass, easily lifting her up so that she had no other choice but to wrap her legs around his body, while her back was pressed against the wall. She could feel the hardness between his legs pressing against her and couldn´t help but moan lowly into his mouth. Whatever it was that he was doing to her it was effective because her whole body was screaming with lust. God, she just wanted him to be even closer. She just wanted to feel him. Her hands were roaming through his soft hair while he kissed her with all he had. Their breaths were mixing, their tongues fighting for control and it was the most exhilarating feeling Elena ever had. She ignored the voice inside of her that screamed that she wanted it to stop. That it was wrong on so many levels…

Elena had no clue how long they actually kissed. Time had faded away, becoming unimportant. All that mattered was that he was kissing her and the feelings he made her feel. Elena felt higher as ever before.

But when he finally stopped, when he finally parted his lips from hers…she also crashed down more heavily than ever before. For a really short moment she looked at Damon and felt content, good… and then suddenly, with a force she had never expected, it finally downed on her what had just happened.

He had kissed her, she thought with growing horror. He had forced her to kiss him and what was even worse: He had forced her to enjoy it. He had compelled her. Used her. Elena shook her head, while bile was filling her body. She felt as if she had to throw up, to wash out her mouth until there was nothing off him left within her. Tears were stinging in her eyes. "How could you?" she whispered while desperation was overtaking her. "How could you do this to me?"

To make it all worse there didn´t seem to be even a hint of regret in Damon´s eyes. He was looking at her with an expression that could be described as content and made Elena feel sick to her bones. Very carefully he lifted one of his hands still holding her pressed against the wall and whipped some of her tears away. "Don´t cry, Elena", he mumbled with a calming expression. "I promise you, that with some time you will come to love this."

Elena stared at him in disbelieve. "You are crazy."

Damon shrugged it away. "Actually, I am just very tired. I have enough of always being second choice, of always being not good enough. I´m a vampire after all and I have enough of playing nice." He put another short kiss on her lips, already leaning away again before Elena could even react. A scary smile was plastered on his face. "This time, princess, the rules have changed. This time I am going to take what I want. And no one, not even you, is going to stop me."

I´d love to know what you guys think!
