Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Fox?! *Was looking around for her cowriter* Fox? Where are you? *Glances over at Andy* Andy, do you know where Fox is? She said something about a new… something earlier. I'm guessing either a game or a chapter of a story she enjoys reading. It's time to do the ANs.

Andy: Oh, last I checked, she's reading one of the Danny Phantom fanfictions. Apparently she said something about needing inspiration last night… but I haven't seen her come out of her room.

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Yeah, we've been taking a small break from writing. But she's usually out of her room by now. You want to get her? Or should I?

Andy: I'll go get her. *Walks towards DarkFoxKit's room*

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Thanks, but be careful! You know how she can be when she's inspired!

*After waiting for a few minutes, Andy suddenly came out of the room and ran out the front door*

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Oh… *Pales* Oh dear… Judging by Andy's reaction… Fox is really inspired…

*DarkFoxKit's bedroom door suddenly burst open, Onyx saw Fox walking out with a huge grin on her face*

DarkFoxKit: Onyx~ Get your writer's cap on, it's time to head to our keyboards!

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Uhhh… but we gotta do the ANs first.

DarkFoxKit: *Snatches up the camera* Readers, hello, sorry to make you wait for so long, but here is the new chapter. Go on, read it, enjoy it. There, AN is done, now come into my room, Onyx~

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': *Looks at the camera and mouths 'Help me'* O-okay…

DarkFoxKit: Don't look so scared. I promise, you'll love these news ideas~ Hehehehehe~

Chapter 89: Skies Filled With Diamonds

When I started coming to, I could hear the birds chirping, I could hear footsteps moving around in the distance, I could also hear voices. I didn't remember what happened last night, just that I apparently fell asleep, because I found myself waking up in my tent.

When I blinked open my eyes, I saw that I was alone in the tent. Tucker and Danny weren't in here. They must've woken up before me and went out to get breakfast ready.

I rubbed my forehead, trying to remember what I did last night. I had a feeling that it was important.

"It sounds like Andy is awake," Juliette's muffled voice came through the walls of the tent.

"I'll go check," Danny volunteered.

"Make sure you get him up. If he doesn't eat breakfast soon, he'll have to eat in the RV while we're on the road," Dad instructed.

What? Did I wake up that late? I frowned, realizing Dad was implying that I was the only one who haven't eaten breakfast yet. Why didn't anyone wake me up?

I heard someone's footsteps getting closer, and a shadow just outside the tent's entrance. I saw Danny pushing the tent's entrance open before he came inside, looking at me.

"Hey, bro…" Danny softly greeted. "How are you feeling after a good night's sleep?"

"I feel fine, I guess," I answered. "How late did I wake up?"

I couldn't help but notice that Danny looked uneasy about something. Wait… didn't I talk to Danny last night?

"It's around 10," Danny informed. "And I'm glad you feel fine. I was a bit worried after you had a panic attack and passed out."

I frowned at that. "I had a panic attack and passed out?"

"You don't remember our conversation from last night?" Danny frowned.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "I remember talking to you last night, but it's kind of a blur." I think I remember talking to him on top of a hill last night… Juliette came with me. Something was bothering Danny, and he was telling me about something serious. "What were we talking about? I remember it was pretty serious."

Danny let out a sigh. "It… was nothing. Come on, it's time to get up and get some breakfast. Your sleeping bag and this tent are the last things of the camp we need to pack up besides the pan."

"Jeez, why didn't anyone wake me?" I grumbled. I wonder why Danny doesn't want to tell me...

"Because you needed the sleep," Danny responded.

"Is it because I passed out?" I asked as I got out of my sleeping bag. It had to have been bad if it caused me to have a panic attack and pass out. Is that why I don't remember it? Is it because I don't want to remember?

Danny nodded before he stepped towards the entrance of the tent, stopping and looking back with a small smirk. "If you fall back to sleep, Dad and I will have no choice but to drag you out of the tent in your sleeping bag."

I shivered. "Well then… wouldn't want that. I'll start packing up."

After everything was packed up, I was greeted by my friends and family. They mostly teased me by calling me 'Mr. Sleepyhead' and making remarks like 'look who finally joined the land of the living again', though none of them seemed overly concerned, I could only guess that Danny didn't tell them that I apparently passed out last night. I had to eat my breakfast quickly because Mom and Dad wanted to hit the road once they got everything back into the RV. Although, I still wanted to know what my conversation was about with Danny last night. Danny had been acting a little uneasy and distant all morning.

When we finally got into the RV again, Dad was at the wheel once more, though at least this time he wasn't driving like a maniac. It made it easier to relax, it also made it easier to be able to play on my handheld without the vehicle shaking too much. I was at the part where I had to grind for a tough boss challenge, so it was easy for my mind to start to wander while I was doing that. What I didn't realize, at the time, was that Danny had something going through his head right now.

Meanwhile, in the older twin's mind

Did he really forget…? I thought to myself as I looked at Andy.

Andy didn't seem too bothered by me, like I was worried he would be, after how badly he reacted to my theory of having that red mist still inside me somehow. I observed. I know that he isn't faking it as he isn't giving any of his typical tells of lying and seems just… so genuine about it. I should probably ask Jazz about this, she knows more about psychology than I do.

While Andy was distracted with his game, I walked over to Jazz, who was reading a book. I wanted to roll my eyes a little, it was just so like Jazz to put her nose into the books, no matter what day it is.

Jazz must've noticed me, however, because she stopped reading and looked up at me. "What's up, Danny? You look worried."

"It's…" I started before I looked around. "Can we go talk in the back?"

Jazz blinked, before giving a nod. She placed a bookmark into the page of the book she was reading before closing it. Jazz put her book down on her seat before she started walking towards the back of the RV, and I followed her. Tucker was playing on his smartphone, Sam was reading her own book, and Andy was still playing on his handheld. The only person who noticed we were walking towards the back was Juliette, but she didn't say anything.

When Jazz and I reached the back of the RV, and we were sure we were out of earshot from everyone else, Jazz turned to me with a look of concern.

"So what's been bugging you, Danny? I couldn't help but notice that something had been bothering you since I woke up this morning," Jazz questioned.

"Andy and I had a conversation last night," I began explaining. "And I gave him a theory of mine that made him have a panic attack… and then he passed out. When he woke up this morning, he didn't seem to remember our conversation at all… and I can't help but wonder; did he actually forget? Or… did he make himself forget?"

Jazz blinked. "I'm guessing you don't want to tell me what you told him?"

"Heh… sorry, Jazz, it's just something that's only between me and him," I apologized sheepishly.

"Right…" Jazz sighed. "Well, I won't make you tell me. But if whatever it was you told him affected him that badly, then it's possible that his mind erased it in order to protect him. There have been some cases where the human mind would erase a selected memory if it's causing them harm. So, I guess in a way, you're right about him making himself forget."

I couldn't help but let out a sigh at that. "Great… just great. And here I was hoping he would be able to help me out with my theory… and help me try to disprove it."

"Well, I could give you some advice if you want to hear them," My older sister suggested.

I gave the suggestion some thought, before deciding it couldn't hurt. "Yeah, I'd like some advice."

"I may not know the full story of your 'theory', but if you want Andy to try to help you with it, then perhaps the best thing you can do is wait until he remembers it. You can try to give him subtle hints and small pushes to help him remember, just… be careful, if he starts to react badly, then don't push it," Jazz warned. "You don't want to risk damaging Andy's psyche."

I sighed once more. "Yeah… you're right. I just really wish I could tell him something without him blowing things out of proportion or freaking out."

Jazz couldn't help but chuckle. "You know, I was pretty bad at doing that myself. Remember my breakdown when I was wrong about Dad not apologizing to Mom?"

"Heh, yeah, you were a complete basket case, although I wasn't any better since I was convinced Mom and Dad were going to get a divorce. I went into the Ghost Zone for the first time just to get back Dad's present for Mom after I accidentally hit it into the Ghost Portal," I admitted, remembering that day all too well.

"Do you know what the common problem was with those freakouts we had?" Jazz asked.

I blinked at that question.

"We overthought the situation," My sister answered. "I was completely overthinking the whole 'I was wrong' thing, so much so I was going crazy over it, looking through books, my dairy, I was even asking Andy at one point to carefully analyze my dairy for any errors. You thought that Mom and Dad would get a divorce because they got into an argument, and you completely blew it out of proportion, putting yourself in danger by going into a completely unfamiliar territory just to get back a present. With Andy, you know how often he likes to think about things, so he's more… prone to overthink everything. I can see that it has gotten a lot more frequent since the accident, though."

I reached up and gripped the bridge of my nose. "Why is our whole family cursed with overthinking things?"

"Comes with being a genius, I guess," Jazz chuckled. "We aren't known as a family of geniuses for nothing after all, little brother."

I didn't feel like much of a genius.

"But you know, I can understand where Andy's coming from," Jazz suddenly said. "Most of his freakouts likely stemmed from when he thought we lost you. That's not something that's easy to get over, that fear of losing you is likely rooted deep in his subconsciousness. I guess if anything were to happen to you, he'd likely lose it, or so he might think anyways. I can't help but worry about you too when we found out you were fighting ghosts, and I still worry of course, for both of you. I guess the only difference is that I took it better than our brother did."

So it might be better if I just stop telling him anything that could cause him to overthink. I sourly concluded. And here I was hoping to get help from my brother.

"Of course, Andy does care about you, just like I do," Jazz continued. "If something was bothering you, we would know right away. So I think Andy already knows that you're bothered by something. And considering what happened the last time you kept something from Andy, it might not be the best idea to keep it a secret from him for long. Knowing our brother, he's bound to figure it out anyways."

"Yeah, but like you said, it would be better for him to remember on his own," I pointed out. Unless he doesn't remember at all.

"Yeah, but if he confronts you about it, it might be best to tell him. Not everything is generalized by books, so whether telling Andy is better or worse depends on him," Jazz stated. "You know our brother better than I do since you're twins, how do you think he'll react? I can only give you advice on what I think is the best way to go about it, I can't guarantee anything. After all, I always thought ghosts didn't exist until I saw you transform."

I sighed. "I'll… just wait and see for now."

Jazz nodded before she suddenly gave me a hug. "Just follow your heart, little brother."

"H-hey, let me go," I whined, feeling embarrassed to be hugged by my sister.

"I love you too~" Jazz chuckled before she let me go, then she rubbed my hair.

I would never admit this to her, but I always liked having my hair rubbed. "Hey!"

I swatted her hands away after a few moments.

"For now, I'll probably learn that card game that Tucker wants me to get into," I informed. "It's some kind of trading card game that's ridiculously popular in Japan."

"Really? I didn't think you'd be interested in card games," My sister remarked, raising an eyebrow.

"Tucker wants me to give it a try," I explained. "I'm not super into card games, but I thought I'd at least give it a try." Besides, that time Andy played that card game with Duul Aman's spirit made it look really cool.

"Well, alright, then have fun with that, Danny." Jazz smiled.

I turned and started going back to where everyone else was sitting. Though I looked over at my twin brother, who was still focused on the game he was playing. Just how badly did I affect you when I was corrupted, bro?

"Hey, Tuck, go ahead and pull out those cards you wanted to show me," I stated as I sat down at the small table across from Tucker.

Tucker smiled excitedly. "Well, Danny, there's a lot I need to tell you about. The game can be played in several different ways, but we'll go with the first generation rules as they are the easiest to understand and get used to. First, I'll show you the type of cards we'll be using for the game."

Around noon, at a chain restaurant named Biscuit Box, Andy and the rest of his family were sitting down for lunch.

We were sitting at a long table with just enough chairs for everyone due to us being a big group of people. I was watching Danny's card game match with Tucker earlier before Dad pulled the RV over at the Biscuit Box's parking lot. I was so into the card game that I decided to take a break from my game and let it charge while I watched. It was nice to watch Danny just playing a leisure card game with Tucker, especially since the last one I played with 'Tucker' was more of a 'life or death' situation. Danny was quick to pick up on the game, not that it surprised me since I always knew Danny was a quick learner.

We ordered our food from the menu not too long ago, and we were just chatting now while waiting for our food to get here.

"So what did you think of that card game, bro?" I asked Danny. "It looked like you doing pretty well against Tucker."

"It was alright," Danny answered with a small shrug. "I definitely could use more practice. It's definitely something I could get into from time to time. But I don't see myself making a life out of it like some of those people in Japan have."

"Heh, of course not. It's a nice game to play, but not something we'd want to go pro in," I chuckled.

"I will say that they have some really nice artwork with some of the creatures in the cards," Sam remarked. "I wouldn't mind buying a pack or two just to see some of them."

"Did you know that in some countries, if you go pro in a game or sports, you get to go travelling and not have to worry about school for a while?" Tucker stated.

"Too bad that's not the case with us," I sighed. "It'd make a few things easier if we could go pro on ghost hunting or something instead of having to hurry to class and take another pop quiz from Mr. Lancer's class."

"The quizzes and tests aren't so bad, especially if you study," Jazz pointed out.

"Says the booksmart genius." I rolled my eyes.

"Come on, you guys, it's our vacation," Sam commented. "We shouldn't be talking about, or even thinking about, school right now."

"You know, thinking about school even while on vacation isn't a bad thing," Mom spoke up, hearing our conversation. "It would help you get prepared for when you go back to school by the end of vacation."

"Even though it still wouldn't take away the sting of having to go back," Dad muttered.

"Although… wasn't there that one time that Danny was able to ace all of the classes pretty easily for a week or so?" Tucker brought up. "Whatever happened to that hidden genius talent, Danny?"

Danny gave a sheepish chuckle. "I don't know, I guess it was just a fluke or something."

I frowned a little, remembering that the only time Danny easily aced everything was when he was changing. I suppose I didn't go back far enough, or… their memories of that time weren't completely erased?

"Nonsense, Danny, the fact that you were able to do that at all proves that you have our family genius," Mom said with a smile. "You just have to apply yourself more, like Jazz."

Danny rolled his eyes. "I rather not think about school during our vacation."

"Isn't the entire point of a vacation to let your mind relax instead of staying focused on being productive?" Juliette spoke up, having been quiet for some time.

"I like your way of thinking." I smiled. "We can be productive when our vacation ends."

Soon, the waitress and waiters brought the food we had ordered over to us. We all had a hearty lunch.

"Sorry about taking so long, folks," The main waiter for our table apologized as they brought over a tray of different colored slushies. "This has been a really popular item lately, so we've been backed up on making them. As part of my apology, you can all have one free refill on your slushies."

"Thanks, we'll be sure to enjoy it~" Dad smiled as he took his purple slushy and started sipping it.

"Jack, don't drink too fast or you'll get brainfreeze," Mom warned as she started sipping her own green slushy.

Sam took her darker purple slushy, Tucker got his orange slushy, Juliette had gotten a brown root beer slushy to try out. Danny got a blue slushy, mostly because it was his favorite color. I got a dark red slushy myself, I always preferred cherry flavor.

"I'll be fine, Mads, you know it's going to take a lot more than a slushy to take ol' Jack Fenton down." Dad smirked before he kept sipping at his slushy.

I heard Mom sighing, but didn't say anything else. I started sipping my slushy. Wow, no wonder this is so popular, it's really good, way better than most slushies I've tasted.

"Alright, everyone, Jack and I will be going to the cashier to pay for the meals. You can all look around the gift shop, but don't leave until after we finished paying, alright?" Mom announced to us.

"And make sure to be careful with your drinks," Dad added as he and Mom started walking towards the register with the bill.

The rest of us got out of our seats. I heard Jazz talking about getting something for a friend of hers while we were here. The gift shop in the Biscuit Box always sold a variety of unique things that we wouldn't normally see in another store.

"You know, the layout of the restaurant is kinda… disgusting," Sam remarked. "You have to walk through the gift shop to get to the restaurant. Yes, I understand that it's a smart business practice, but it isn't something the business needs to do."

"Except they somewhat do," Jazz replied. "The food they have on the menu is remarkably cheap for what they give you. So in order to make a bigger sale and stay afloat, they have it so the customers have to come and go through the gift shop. I actually prefer it like this as it means you aren't paying an arm and a leg for a meal. Besides, they have a pretty clear path where you don't have to walk close to any of the stands."

While Sam and Jazz were having a debate on the business practices of the gift shop placement, Danny and I split off from the rest of the group, wanting to just look around leisurely.

"Hey, look at that, they have plushies of Pocket Monsters." I smiled, seeing a plushy of an adorable blue seal-like creature with a big pink nose.

"Considering how big the series is, I'm sure you can find plushies of Pocket Monsters, or knock offs, pretty much anywhere," Tucker said as he walked past. "However, I am surprised they have Duel Creatures decks for sale here."

Tucker hurried over to where they were selling the Duel Creatures' cards and decks.

"Anything around here that catches your eye, bro?" I asked Danny before I took another sip of my cherry slushy.

Danny shook his head. "Nothing really piques my interest here."

"I'm sure we'll find something of your interest," I said before I started walking past him. "Come on, let's-"

I yelped when my foot suddenly stepped on an unexpected lump that caused me to lose my balance. Because my slushy cup didn't have a lid on it, it was also why Dad told us to be careful with our slushies, it ended up all over Danny, coating his white shirt with dark red.

"Ah!" Danny jumped from the sudden cold sensation.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" I quickly apologized when I saw the mess my brother was in.

"It's… it's fine bro… just uh… go ask if they have paper towels or something," Danny said, shivering.

I quickly went to the counter, asking for some paper towels. I was grateful they gave me a bunch, and I started to head back towards Danny, but when I was looking at him again, I didn't see Danny, I saw Corrupted Danny. Corrupted Danny was standing there, looking rather ticked off at the red stuff that was on him. The more I looked at the red stuff that was leaking off of him, the more it started to look like blood. I felt my own blood leaving face as I was staring at Corrupted Danny.

Suddenly the conversation I had forgotten about came back to me. I remembered Danny telling me about that red mist, the same mist that came from Freakshow's crystal ball, the mist that Desiree fused into him due to a careless wish I made, the mist that turned him into Corrupted Danny. It's still a part of him… but how!?

"Come on, bro, I'd rather not stand here dripping slushy onto the ground," Corrupted Danny said, surprisingly sounding like regular Danny instead of an evil psychopath.

I blinked, a little confused from how much like regular Danny he sounded. I expected him to smirk evilly at me, or tear me apart due to how annoyed he looked.

"At this rate I'm going to have to throw out this shirt…" Corrupted Danny mumbled in slight annoyance and disappointed. "And it's one of my favorites too…"

I remembered the hologram that Duul Aman used to make Danny look like Corrupted Danny. Is that what this is? An illusion? … Yes, it has to be… He sounds too much like Danny to be Corrupted Danny. Dang mind is messing with me again… I shouldn't have gotten a dark red slushy.

I walked closer to Danny, handing him the towels. "Um… D-Danny… uh… perhaps… w-we should go… t-to the bathroom, to… w-wash you down."

I wasn't trying to sound so nervous or scared there, but it was hard not to when I feel like I'm still looking at Corrupted Danny.

Corrupted Danny shook his head as he began to use the paper towels to dab off the cherry slushy. "No, we'll go to the RV. I need to change and I can wash this shirt better if we're in the RV and it isn't on me."

"Y-yeah… that's probably a… good idea…" I said softly. "You… um… could also probably… turn your shirt intangible to get rid of the stickiness."

"That won't help with stains though," Corrupted Danny pointed out as he balled up the paper towels. "Go let Mom and Dad know that I went to the RV, alright?"

"Y-yeah, I will," I answered, trying not to shiver.

Corrupted Danny, without doing anything evil, walked out of the building towards the RV. When he left my sight, I let out a breath that I didn't know I had been holding.

"Oh gosh… I thought I was going to pass out for a second there…" I said in relief. I guess it's a good thing Danny was too focused on his ruined shirt to realize I was stuttering so much… stupid mind, I thought I was over the whole Corrupted incident, but I guess not… But just because he's not actually Corrupted Danny now doesn't mean he can't be later on, especially if his theory is true...

"Excuse me, could you please move?" A voice came from behind me. "I need to take care of that mess before the floor gets super sticky."

I turned to see one of the employees was behind me, holding a mop, and had a cart filled with cleaning water.

"Oh, right… uh, sorry," I apologized before moving out of the way.

I sighed to myself. I can only imagine how Danny reacted after I passed out from having a panic attack. I need to keep myself calm if I'm going to help him get rid of that bloody mist for good this time, assuming it's still there. But the problem is… how the heck are we supposed to know if the mist is still there or not, let alone get rid of it?

"Andy? Where is Danny?" Mom asked as she walked over.

"Oh, he went back to the RV because I accidentally tripped and spilled my slushy all over him," I answered, trying to sound as casual as possible. "He needed to wash up and change. I… really should've been more careful."

"Ahh. I'll make sure to wash his shirt when we get back in the RV," Mom responded. "After all, I know how much he loves that white shirt of his and he wouldn't be happy if it was permanently stained. Would you mind gathering everyone else up and let them know if they want to buy something, they should do it now?"

I nodded. "Yeah, I'll go do that."

We were back on the road again, having finished doing our shopping at the front of the Biscuit Box. I hadn't spoken much since Danny had gone back to the RV to change out his shirt. I think the others were starting to notice my reluctance to look in Danny's direction, which annoyed me to no end as I would've preferred not being noticed at all.

"What do you think the problem could be? Is Andy really that embarrassed about spilling his slushy on Danny?" I heard Tucker whispering.

"I doubt that. It's not like it's the first time Andy spilt something on our brother." Jazz rolled her eyes, and I could also hear her.

"Maybe something happened between them?" Sam questioned.

I sighed. I guess they forgot about ghost hearing.

"Andy? What is the matter?" Juliette asked as she walked over to the corner I had put myself in.

"It's nothing," I waved off, looking back to the handheld game I was playing, though I was having trouble focusing on it.

"Uh huh." Juliette nodded as she sat down beside me, her tone full of suspicion. "Would you like to try that again without lying?"

"Juliette… it's not really something I want to talk about…" I frowned.

"It may not be something you want to talk about, but I feel it is something you should talk about," Juliette responded. "If you'd prefer, we can go to the back to speak in private."

"I don't really know what to say, it's not really something that could easily be talked about," I sighed.

I knew Danny was getting worried since I'm sure he noticed that I hadn't been looking in his direction. I could only guess that he might suspect the reason why, however. I wanted to assure him I was fine, but every time I attempt to talk to him, I couldn't help but get that paranoid feeling that Corrupted Danny would suddenly pop out of him.

"The most necessary of conversations aren't always the easiest," Juliette said as she reached out and put a hand in front of the handheld console I was playing.

I blinked at seeing the hand in front of me before I looked up at Juliette. I wasn't sure if talking about it would help, especially to someone who wouldn't know anything about it, but I didn't want to feel like I had to avoid my brother during this vacation that was supposed to be for all of us to enjoy. I wondered if it might be better to talk to Jazz about it, but considering she freaked out on Danny earlier about the crystal ball incident, that probably wouldn't be the best idea.

"Come on, Andy, speak with me," Juliette urged.

I let out a sigh before closing the handheld console. I tried to think of the words to say.

"Well… have you ever had Scarlet, at one point, suddenly turn on you?" I asked softly.

Juliette shook her head. "No, I have not."

"Then imagine Scarlet suddenly becoming like a different person, she began changing one day and you didn't know why, she becomes smarter, scarier, and you're not sure if you're even safe around her anymore. Then she gets the idea to rule the world, and starts changing everyone into her ideal people. Then she goes after you, and you feel trapped, unable to run and hide for long, you feel tired, injured, unable to go on. You feel the weight of the world on you, while they are also against you," I went on and I started to shiver a little, remembering those times way too vividly. "And… then you find out… Scarlet's transformation was your fault. You thought you found a way to reverse it… but instead, all you did was delay it."

"So… Vesper." Juliette frowned.

"Ugh… don't mention that black knight, I have enough to worry about without her stupid challenge hanging over my head," I growled.

Juliette frowned even more at that, making me realize I had gotten upset at Juliette over her getting upset.

"Sorry… maybe I should just be alone for a while," I sighed. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can force a future vision or two that could tell me if… or when Danny turns again, or… when Vesper decides to strike.

"No, I have no plans on leaving you alone, especially if these are the thoughts that are on your mind," Juliette stubbornly replied, looking me in the eyes with determination.

"What are you going to do then, Juliette?" I asked.

"Keep talking with you of course." Juliette grinned.

"Of course…" I sighed.

"What exactly happened between you and Danny? All you told me was some vague horror story about what could happen if Scarlet became like Vesper," Juliette pointed out.

"It's… complicated to explain." I frowned.

"Do you think Danny will turn into Vesper?" Juliette quietly inquired.

"... Well, considering Vesper showed obvious interest in him…" I paled a little bit, not wanting to see that future. "My issue isn't exactly that… it's… more along the lines of… would Danny turn into Vesper… again?"

"Has Danny been like her before?" Juliette questioned.

"Yes… and no…" I said hesitantly. "It… um… what happened was…"

"Complicated?" Juliette guessed.

"It happened, but it didn't," I said, which confused Juliette. "It… okay, think of it like this, it happened in another timeline. The timeline we're currently on… is the timeline where Danny never became like Vesper."

"Marvellous…" Juliette sighed. "It seems no matter how far away from Clockwork I get, I am always dragged into some form of his tomfoolery."

"I… yeah, Clockwork…" I hesitantly agreed. "Anyways, nobody but me, Danny, and Clockwork remembered what happened in that timeline. Although… I wondered if it was better if I didn't remember… because I've been suffering PTSD from it. It had gotten better over time, but… well… some things still trigger it…"

"How long ago was that event?" Juliette asked.

"I'd say about close to half a year ago," I estimated.

"What was the original trigger back then?" Juliette questioned. "What caused the transformation?"

"I… don't know about the trigger, if there was one… it happened gradually, after Desiree fused him with this… mist thing from Freakshow's crystal ball," I answered.

"Okay… I'll have to talk about that later on," Juliette noted. "For now though, are you sure you don't know of any trigger?"

"No, there definitely wasn't," I replied, certain that nothing suddenly set Danny off back then.

"If there wasn't a trigger, were there are least symptoms? Things that Danny normally didn't do that he suddenly started doing before he went full Vesper?" Juliette inquired, still speaking in a hushed tone.

"Yeah… he became a lot more intelligent, like he was suddenly acing school tests like they were nothing, he outspoke his bullies so easily that they became too confused to do anything. He got more aggressive, doing things like suddenly kissing Sam, or making her blush by whispering something to her. He also started to mind control ghosts to do some kind of experiment on them," I shivered a little. "But… I don't know if that's how it will work now, since at that time, Desiree had fused the mist inside him. The mist… is already inside him, it's just dormant."

"If it's dormant now, instead of active like it was when Desiree fused the mist with Danny, then perhaps it will take some trigger to reactivate it," Juliette theorized.

"Yes, I thought the same thing. The problem is we have no idea what that trigger would be other than the obvious… life threatening, being pushed to the corner, that sort of thing," I remarked.

"Usually what triggers dormant powers are situations that put someone into a corner, be it life threatening situations or being extremely stressed or pressured," Juliette responded.

"... That's… a daily thing for him though." I frowned.

"Except it isn't," Juliette countered. "Danny has never been pushed so far back that he has nowhere to go. He also is able to deal with pressure and stress pretty easily with you and everyone else around. The kind of trigger that would be needed to activate a dormant power would be in situations past the point where Danny may consider using his Ghostly Wail. As such, it is unlikely that anything will happen in the immediate future to trigger the awakening of that dormant mist. Besides, if Danny does remember, then he would have subconsciously sealed away that mist in more layers than the world's largest onion."

I almost chuckled at that last part. I do remember Danny telling me that some of his corrupted self leaked out while he was facing Vesper. But Vesper was an opponent he likely couldn't win against… he never showed signs of it- wait… he did show signs of aggression when Vlad made Tucker and Sam sick with ecto acne… I guess that would be the emotional trigger then.

"Even if the mist has reactivated and shown itself from time to time, with Danny aware, it's likely that his mind would reseal the powers to prevent a full takeover," Juliette finished.

"Perhaps you're right," I agreed. "There's no reason to worry about it now, worrying about it would only make Danny worry more, and have more of a chance to reawaken that mist."

"Exactly." Juliette smiled.

I smiled back at the goat girl ghost who was disguising herself as a human. "Juliette… thanks."

"Of course." Juliette beamed. "I'll always be willing to help you if you need it, Andy."

I walked over to Danny, who looked up at me. "Hey, bro… want to play a game?"

Danny blinked before giving a smile. "Yeah, I would love to, bro."

We had gotten to Florida last night and stayed in a hotel instead of at a campsite, one that Dad was really set on camping at for some reason, which was funny since he hated camping before. Mom, and the rest of us, overruled Dad and stayed at a hotel, as we didn't want to deal with any bugs or potential wildlife.

It was now the next morning and we had just left the hotel after having breakfast. We were heading to Kennedy Space Center, which was the Air Force Space and Missile Museum in Cape Canaveral. According to Danny, one of the main reasons he wanted to visit this time instead of any other time in the year was because there were renovations being done at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington DC and a lot of the exhibits there had been moved down to Kennedy Space Center during the renovations.

It didn't take us long to get to the Museum, however it took us a while to find a parking spot that could fit the RV. Once we did find a parking spot, we all got out, headed to the building, went inside, and purchased tickets.

"I still can't believe the once in a lifetime experience we're getting!" Danny grinned, practically exuding excitement from his very skin.

It was, dare I say it, kind of cute with how Danny was acting, he was like a little child being at a carnival for the first time. I didn't have as much passion or interest in space as Danny did, but even I had to admit that the stuff they had here in the museum made me interested to learn more about it.

"Everyone make sure to grab a map," Jazz instructed. "Both because it's a limited edition copy for this event and also because if we get lost, we should all have a map on us to find our way to the food court. We'll meet up there around… what do you think, Mom, 1PM?"

"That sounds perfectly fine, sweetie." Mom smiled. "If you are going to split off, please don't do it on your own. I want you all to at least stay in pairings of 2 if you want to go explore different things. Oh and standard museum rules apply, don't touch anything unless it says you can touch. Understood, honey?"

Mom looked over at Dad with a bit of a glare as he had gotten us kicked out of many a museum with his antics.

"I promise this time I'll follow the rules, sweetie," Dad quickly promised.

"Make sure you do, Jack," Mom stated before she turned and smiled at the rest of us. "Keep your armbands on and if you have any questions, ask the staff at the museum who actually look like they work there. Jazz, sweetheart, that means no interviewing a janitor about their life and why they work here."

"Mom, it was one time," Jazz grumbled.

"Yes, once with a janitor, once with a security guard, once with someone you thought worked there but was just someone from the moving company that was moving the artifact," Mom replied, listing the many times Jazz had gone off any interviewed different people to 'try and understand them better'.

"Okay, Mom, you've made your point," Jazz huffed.

I couldn't help but chuckle a little.

"Is there anything else, Mom?" Danny asked, eager to start exploring the museum.

"Hmm… not that I can-"

Mom didn't even get to finish before Danny grabbed my hand and rushed off into the museum. Juliette, Sam, and Tucker were quick to follow after us. Though due to how fast we were moving, only Juliette managed to not lose track of us and catch up.

"Danny, you should really slow down," Juliette said as she jogged alongside us. "I know there are certain things you want to see, but your parents bought us all 2 day passes in case you want to come back tomorrow."

"Besides, you were going so fast that you grabbed the wrong person for your buddy," I said with a small smirk.

"What?" Danny blinked, looking at me.

"You should've grabbed Sam's hand, so you two could be alone while you travel across the space museum~" I teased.

Juliette giggled a small bit.

Danny blushed and sputtered a bit. "A-Andy! I didn't intend to do that!"

"Sure you didn't," I said.

"So, Danny, what route are we taking?" Juliette inquired. "I'm sure you did your research and already came up with a few ideas on the exhibits you want to see and in which order."

"Oh, definitely." Danny smiled before he started to drag me along with him again. "First is the moon exhibit, they have it so life-like here that it feels like you're actually on the moon… just without the whole 'no oxygen' thing."

"Not that it would bother Juliette all that much," I chuckled. "And can you please slow down, bro? The moon exhibit isn't going anywhere."

"Yeah, there are a few things that are ahead of us that look quite interesting," Juliette agreed.

The exhibits Danny took Juliette and I through were interesting to say the least. I could definitely see the wonders of space and how Danny became so passionate for it. He had always wanted to reach for the unreachable, the stars were just that; unreachable. There could be anything out there in the infinite universe. Planets, stars, perhaps even other life forms as well. There was always something new to be discovered out in space, and Danny was excited to see what possibilities could be out there.

Although I enjoyed the exhibits, I felt pretty exhausted by the time we finished looking in the last exhibit for the day. Danny was still full of energy though, and Juliette seemed perfectly fine. How the heck do they do it?

"It's starting to get late, maybe we should head to the food court to see if everyone else is there already," I suggested, also wanting to just rest my legs.

"Andy is regrettably correct," Juliette commented. "It is 12:58 according to the last clock I saw and it will probably take us a few minutes to get to the food court. As much as I would like to continue looking around, we have the rest of the day to do so and we wouldn't want to make everyone else worry."

"Oh, alright," Danny sighed. "I guess I didn't notice how late it's gotten."

"Don't be too disappointed," Juliette comforted. "Like I said, we have the rest of the day to visit everywhere else and we have tomorrow if need be."

"It's just hard to wait," Danny chuckled.

"Yeah, well, learn some patience." I rolled my eyes. "And maybe this time, you can have Sam as your buddy~"

"Andy! Will you stop suggesting that!?" Danny snapped, his face red.

"That never gets old." I smiled.

"Just for that, I'll be taking you and Juliette as my buddy again." Danny pouted.

"Oh?~" I smirked. "Are you planning on spending the evening or night with Sam? Perhaps looking at the stars or something~"

"What the heck? How did you even get that!?" Danny hissed.

"Andy, stop teasing Danny," Juliette scolded.

"Aww, but it's fun," I chuckled.

"For you, maybe," Danny huffed.

"Well, you are making it pretty easy, Danny," I remarked.

"Let's just get to the food court," Danny grumbled.

We had to check our maps, but we eventually found the food court. There were a staggering amount of people, it made it difficult to squeeze our way through. I wondered how we were going to find our friends or family like this.

Then I remembered that Dad was a huge wall of a man who stuck out in any kind of crowd. I remembered that because I saw him standing above everyone else near the other side of the food court.

I took Juliette and Danny's hands and pulled them through the sea of people to get over to the rest of our group.

"Told you we had nothing to worry about, Maddikins." Dad smiled as he noticed the three of us.

"Where have you boys been? You had me worried!" Mom scolded us.

"Mom, relax, we're only 5 minutes late," Danny chuckled.

"15," Juliette unhelpfully corrected.

"Not helping," I whispered.

"Well, at least they're here now, right, Mom?" Jazz smiled. "You can't really blame them for being late, you know how Danny gets when he's around anything to do with space."

"We certainly do, we completely lost them in the crowd," Tucker grumbled.

I wondered if Tucker had wanted to try to pair up with Juliette. Sam looked a little annoyed too.

"Next time don't go running off on your own," Sam said to Danny.

"I agree with Sam, you really shouldn't go running off on your own," Mom scolded.

"Mads, go easy on them," Dad stated. "After all, we're on vacation and they're more on time than they could've been considering the environment and circumstances. If Danny had the choice, he'd probably want to make this place his home until he had seen every exhibit two or three times."

Mom let out a sigh. "At least you're here now, and I guess that's all that matters."

Danny and I sighed in relief that Mom was letting us off easy this time.

"Great, now that we're all here and accounted for, can we get lunch now? I'm starving!" Tucker whined.

"We'll go to each of the different places one at a time that way everyone can get what they want and we can pay for it immediately," Dad replied.

Lunch was nice, we all chatted about different things while we were eating. It really felt like a real family vacation, no ghosts to worry about, no big catastrophic event heading our way despite my fears earlier. This was a vacation I could get behind, just a normal… somewhat normal family vacation.

When lunch was over, it was time for everyone to pair up before they went exploring again. Danny was about to grab my hand again, but I was prepared this time. I quickly and subtly sidestepped behind Sam, causing Danny to take her hand instead. Danny immediately noticed the hand he took wasn't mine, and he looked at Sam before he started to blush a bright red. Sam was blushing as well as she didn't expect Danny to suddenly take her hand.

"You two have fun." I smiled before I lightly pushed them.

"Wait up you two, I'll come wi-" Tucker started to say before I grabbed the back of his collar.

"Nope, you're coming with Juliette and I because you need to talk to her," I whispered. "Also, I'm not going to let you be a third wheel~"

"Wait, wha- oh…" Tucker realized. "Ooooh… yeah, you two go have fun."

"W-what's that supposed to mean?" Sam hissed while blushing.

Even Mom was chuckling, and it reminded me of the time Mom was teasing me for bringing Valerie to our house that time when Technus caused the love epidemic.

"Just be sure to head back to the hotel before it gets dark, and have fun~" Mom giggled. "The museum has shuttles that will take you back to the hotel for free."

"We're just friends!" Both Danny and Sam shouted in unison.

"And you thought it was creepy when Danny and I spoke in unison," I chuckled to Tucker.

Danny was about to say something, but I took Juliette's and Tucker's hand and quickly started walking away. "We'll see you all later, okay? Have fun with the exhibits, bye!"

When we got far enough away from the food court, I let go of Juliette and Tucker, before giving a small sigh.

"So… why did you push Danny and Sam together like that?" Juliette asked.

"Because they're never going to see how they feel about each other if someone doesn't," I answered, before turning back to Juliette and Tucker. "Speaking about relationship problems, I think it's about time you two had a talk as well."

Juliette looked down at that and Tucker had a frown on his face.

"One of the things I want you two to do by the end of the trip is get past what happened between you two when Tucker was being empowered and influenced," I informed.

"You really enjoy meddling, don't you…?" Juliette softly huffed.

"When it comes to the people I care about, it's way more painful to just wait and watch and hope something happens," I answered. "Both of you have been avoiding each other and the subject since the Duul Aman incident, and I think it's about time you try to get past that."

Tucker rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "What… can I say other than 'sorry'? I want to say that was all on the pharaoh's spirit, but… I was the one who took an interest in Juliette in the first place, and forced her to be my queen one way or another."

"You also have to take into account that you were still being heavily influenced by both the pharaoh's spirit and the power of the Scarab Scepter itself," I pointed out.

"While he may have been getting heavily influenced, it was more disabling his inhibitions than giving him new desires," Juliette pointed out.

"I mean… I never would've thought to do that to you in the first place if I didn't let all that power go to my head," Tucker admitted. "I wanted you to like me, not fear or hate me… this isn't the first time power went to my head and… I almost really hurt someone I cared about because of it."

Juliette sighed. "While you may say you have never thought to do that in the first place, the fact of the matter is that in some part of your mind, you did have that idea of essentially enslaving me. Due to that, I was and am upset, because I do not appreciate the idea of someone wanting to take me as their slave. It's something that I worried about back when I was still alive, as it was common practice to take the royal children and enslave them if one invaded another's kingdom."

"I'm really sorry, I never wanted to actually enslave you, Juliette. Even if there is some part of me that wanted it, I wouldn't dare to actually do that to anyone. I should've done a better job at controlling myself, and if I could take it all back, I would," Tucker said softly. "But… I can't, and… maybe I don't deserve it, but it does hurt that you're not willing to give me a second chance."

"I never said I wasn't willing to give you a second chance, Tucker," Juliette replied after a few moments of silence. "I've just been hesitant to give it to you because I'm worried. If you truly do mean to never do such a thing again, then you will have to prove it. You will have to show your honorable intentions in order for me to properly give you a second chance."

"But… how can I do that?" Tucker asked. "It's not like I'm going to plan to enslave you and then stop myself at the last minute."

"I've been attempting to come up with a possible way for you to prove it to me in today's standards," Juliette explained. "However, I haven't come up with any solidified plan."

Tucker deflated from that.

"Well… maybe the best way to go about it is for you two to spend time together, get to know each other better, and if danger suddenly approaches, that'll be the time Tucker will show his true intentions to you," I suggested. "People often act without thinking when there's danger nearby, and that's usually when their true colors show. Do you think that would be enough to have Tucker show you his 'honorable intentions', Juliette?"

Juliette gave it a moment's thought before she nodded. "I believe that is an acceptable way to prove himself."

Tucker gave me a grateful smile. "Thanks, Andy. I'll do my best to make up for what happened back then."

I smiled as well. "Great, now you two can start talking to each other to start the healing process."

"You mean… right now?" Tucker asked.

"Yup, no time like the present. Besides, if either of you put this off, it's going to get harder to talk to each other, so don't procrastinate, it's better to do it now," I explained.

"Andy… have you been reading Jazz's psychology books again?" Tucker questioned in annoyance.

"Well… they help, don't they?" I said in my defense.

"Sometimes…" Tucker grumbled.

Juliette was giggling a little.

"Are you worried that I might be a third wheel in your conversation of healing?" I asked Tucker. "Because I could go look for Jazz, or Mom and Dad while I leave you two alone to work things out."

"No, Mr. Therapist, since this is your idea, you have to come with us," Tucker answered, to which Juliette nodded in agreement.

"I feel that if you don't come with us, we won't actually talk," Juliette added.

"Alright, alright, I'll stick around. Heh, you two are agreeing on something at least," I chuckled.

Over the next few hours, we didn't really pay too much attention to where we were going in the museum, I was mostly keeping an eye on Tucker and Juliette while they talked. I did have to find a way to get them to latch onto a conversation a few times, since one of them would say something that made the other feel awkward and they would both go quiet. I wanted this to work out.

Thankfully, by hour 3, they were able to talk more comfortably around each other without needing me to prompt them. I smiled a little, seeing that things were starting to get better between Tucker and Juliette.

Then when Tucker started to talk about how there had been several different aircraft and spacecraft made in the past several decades, that was when I realized we were in a room filled with airplanes and space shuttles. Huh… when did we get here?

"Wow…" Juliette muttered with wide eyes as she looked around. "I… honestly still have trouble believing that humanity was able to develop ways to leave the planet. I still have trouble understanding electricity half the time."

"A lot of people do, it's just something we're used to in this day and age because we grew up with it," Tucker remarked light heartedly. "I'm pretty sure if I ended up in your time period, I'd have just as hard an understanding with magic and how you lived without electricity."

"Heh… it wasn't magic you needed to worry about," Juliette chuckled softly. "It was the dragons."

"D-dragons…? Like… Dora and Aragon?" Tucker nervously asked.

"Similar, but bigger and more dangerous," Juliette answered. "Oh, and not ghost."

Tucker paled a little as he looked at Juliette. "Were dragons… a common thing back thing?"

"Not super common, no, but enough where there were knights who were trained specifically in the art of dragon slaying," Juliette informed.

"Did… did dragons… eat people back then?" Tucker asked.

"They mostly went after livestock," Juliette responded. "But when there was no livestock around, or the dragon was feeling particularly vindictive, they would eat humans."

"I'm not sure if I should be horrified, amazed, or just relieved the only dragons we've seen in this day and age were Dora and Aragon," Tucker remarked.

"Probably all three," I put in.

"Wait… didn't you turn into a dragon at one point, Andy?" Tucker asked me.

"One time! It was one time, with Dora's amulet, so that doesn't count!" I huffed.

"Sure it doesn't~" Juliette smirked. "Perhaps I should have Scarlet start training in dragon slaying just to be safe."

"You're just screwing with me, aren't you?" I deadpanned.

"Maybe?" Juliette shrugged.

Before I could retort to that, I suddenly heard people panicking and screaming.

"What is that!?"

"The plane came alive!"

"Actually it's an F-35 Lightning II-"

"WHO CARES, NERD!?"

"IT'S GOING TO EAT US!"

"More likely it's going to shoot us with its GAU-22 type A, which is a four-barrel 25mm cannon. Or it might use it's assortment of missiles or bombs."

"Oh my gosh, nerd! Shut up and run!"

"Um… what's going on?" Tucker asked. "Are they saying a military jet came to life?"

"Huh, maybe it's not a supernatural occurrence for once?" I asked.

"You sure?" Juliette raised a brow.

"Well, usually when something supernatural happens, my ghost se-" I stopped when the familiar dark blue mist came out of my mouth. "Oh… there it is."

"We should get somewhere private and safe," Juliette suggested. "That way you can transform and help Danny, who is undoubtedly looking for a place to transform right now."

We suddenly heard something that sounded like ecto blasts being shot, and someone shouting. "You're ruining my vacation!"

"Sounds like he's already fighting," Tucker remarked.

"Ugh, let's just find some place to hide," I grumbled.

We started to run through the crowd of panicking people, but it wasn't easy to get through them. When people are panicking, they tend to act like a wild stampede, and it was easy to get knocked over. I'd go intangible, but then someone would catch me doing that, and I'd rather not take a chance.

I heard a loud explosion, and it caused the museum to shake. I looked up, seeing Danny in his ghost form, turning intangible, barely avoiding being hit by missiles. Of course, this caused the missiles to go through him and hit the ceiling of the museum, causing another loud explosion and even more shaking.

I looked towards the source of the missiles and saw an extremely advanced military jet that I had seen a couple of times pass over Amity Park during air shows. I saw that unlike a standard jet however, this was transformed to look more humanized. Instead of the cockpit being at the front, it was at the top of the humanoid form serving as the humanoid form's head. Its wings were bent forward and it was shooting missing from its 'hands'. There were also bullets coming from its 'face' that were causing tons of damage around the museum.

Suddenly it feels like I'm in some kind of Transformer's movie… I mused.

"Come on, Andy, we have to get you somewhere where you can change and help Danny," Juliette urged softly as she helped me up by my arm, which made me realize I had fallen down when the museum was shaking earlier.

While the fighting was going on above us, Juliette, Tucker, and I were racing to find a place to hide so I could safely transform. I could hear the humanoid machine roaring like an animal. There were still too many people running around to transform.

"How about over there?" Tucker pointed at a soda machine. "You could probably duck around that machine and change, I doubt anyone would pay attention."

I hurried over to the soda machine, and was about to reach into my core when I noticed something in the corner of my eye. I saw it was a security camera, pointing at where I was standing. Oh jeez, that was close, I almost transformed in front of that camera!

"This spot is no good, Tucker! There's a security camera here!" I called out.

"There's a bathroom just a little bit down the hall," Juliette informed as she pointed down the hallway to some bathroom signs.

"Ah, of course, I should've thought of that sooner!" I ran towards the bathroom as fast as I could, hearing more explosions and Danny's pained screaming.

I hurried into the men's bathroom, though I was a bit surprised that it wasn't empty. There was someone in a stall, and after hearing their moanings, and the smell coming from the stall, I could see why they didn't leave despite the explosions and shakings. I felt bad for the poor guy. I went into an empty stall myself, just in case someone decided to run into the bathroom for whatever reason, and closed it. I checked around for any security cameras, just in case. When I made sure the coast was clear, I reached into my core and transformed into my ghost form. As soon as I was a ghost, I turned myself intangible and flew out of the bathroom. I hurried to where Danny was fighting.

I saw Danny was trying to recover from a hit he endured from the humanoid jet, and he didn't see that it was aiming its 'nose' at him. My eyes widened as I could tell it was charging up for a blast of some kind. I hurried in front of Danny, and formed an ecto shield just before it fired its cannon. There was a loud rapid burst of noise as I was pushed back by multiple impacts that quickly hit the shield one after another, the noise sounding like a really deep, rapid buzz. My shield was heavily damaged, nearly falling to pieces in some places, but thankfully I was able to hold it.

"Danny! Are you okay?" I asked my brother as I dissipated the shield after the attack was over.

"Yeah… I'm fine." Danny panted as he caught his breath. "Jeez, took you long enough to get here, bro."

"It wasn't exactly easy to find a hiding spot here," I grumbled before looking back at the humanoid jet. "So what exactly is this thing? Did a ghost possess a military jet or is this Technus's doing?"

"It's definitely not Technus as there has been no gloating or exposition," Danny responded. "And I'm not exactly sure if it's actually a ghost due to how... differently it's acting and how it feels using my ghost sense."

"It feels different?" I asked.

"Don't you feel it too, Andy?" Danny questioned.

I furrowed my eyebrows. I didn't notice it at the time because I was a little distracted, but there was something different about how this ghostly aura felt. It's almost as if it feels… like it's not alive. I mean, technically speaking, it just feels like it's a ghostly inanimate object, yet it's moving around like it's alive.

The humanoid jet lifted both of its arms and aimed them at us.

"You go left and I go right?" Danny quickly strategized.

"Sounds good," I quickly said.

The jet fired its missiles at us, Danny quickly went right, while I flew left, both of us dodging the missiles while our feet turned into a ghostly tail, though it caused more damage to the museum. I realized with horror that if we let it keep damaging the museum, the entire building will collapse on these people. I turned my attention back to the humanoid jet.

We have to take it out now before this entire building falls apart! But this thing is durable, I don't think firing ghost rays at it over and over is going to do much. I noticed that there was a strange red glow in the cockpit of the jet. Wait, what is that? Could that be the source of the ghostly energy we're sensing?

The jet lifted up its arms once again, I gasped before I held out my hands, and focused on my energy. I had my ecto barriers form on the openings of its arms before it could fire its missiles. Danny noticed what I was doing and quickly flew over to me.

"What's the plan?!" Danny asked as he flew over. "Why are you putting barriers around its weapons?"

"Danny, if this thing keeps firing its missiles, then the entire building is going to collapse!" I explained. "Listen, I think…"

I paused, trying to think of how to convey the plan while also trying to keep focus on holding up the barriers.

"What?" Danny prompted.

"I saw something glowing red in that jet's cockpit, I'm going to need you to check it out while I try to hold off its missiles," I instructed, feeling a drain on my power for having to keep holding up the barriers. "Now hurry, I don't know how long I can keep holding the barriers!"

"Right!" Danny nodded before he started flying towards the jet's cockpit, turning intangible as he got close.

I was beginning to sweat as I held on to the barriers. The humanoid jet roared in anger as it moved around like a trapped animal, desperately firing its missiles, only to have the missiles explode on the barriers. The barriers were starting to crack, however, and I had to use more of my energy to fix the cracks and reinforce the barriers. The jet then turned its attention to me, likely noticing I was the source to its chains. It started to aim its cannon nose at me, and I paled a little, knowing that I was defenseless like this.

"I got it!" Danny called out before the red glow that was in the cockpit vanished.

The humanoid jet's 'eyes' widened before it suddenly flashed, and it was a regular jet in the blink of an eye. I was just staring, dumbfounded at the sudden change, my barriers dissipated, and the jet started to fall. I gasped before I dove down and grabbed the tail fins of the jet before it could hit the ground and crush all the people that were under it. I may be a lot stronger than the average person with these ghost powers, but this jet was freaking heavy.

"Don't worry, I'm here to help." Danny smiled as he flew out of the cockpit with intangibility, turned tangible, and grabbed one of the other tail fins to help me lower the jet to the ground slowly.

Thankfully, the people were smart enough to move out of the way as Danny and I gently put the jet down on the ground. I sighed in relief when the jet was safely on the ground.

"Thanks, bro," I said gratefully to my brother as I wiped the sweat off my forehead.

"As much as I want to celebrate our victory, we should find places to change back and meet back up with everyone before Mom and Dad start searching the museum for us," Danny suggested with a nervous grin.

"Yeah, and I don't want the people to start taking pictures of our ghost forms and put those pics on the internet," I agreed. "The bathroom isn't far, so we can just go there."

"Oh… didn't realize they had a bathroom here," Danny sheepishly stated.

"Wh-what? You didn't know? Then where did you-" I began to ask before I noticed people were starting to gather around us, curiosity taking place now that the immediate danger was gone. "Nevermind, just go!"

Both of us quickly turned invisible and flew to the nearest men's bathroom.

Shine375: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Hmmmm… nah. :P

haloguardian452: DarkFoxKit: Who would know what? Please be more specific. I'll assume you meant their parents knowing about their sons' secret. No, they're not going to know right now. That's not to say they would never know, but not now.

lena smith 106: DarkFoxKit: Heh, I personally don't like camping because of mosquitoes and bugs as well. I don't like the outdoors very much, especially during pollen season. But the bonding experience is usually worth it for me.

Yeah, since Freakshow returned, we figured now was as good time as any to bring up the crystal orb and its possible origins again. It was such a powerful artifact, able to mind control ghosts, and it was a shame that it was never brought up again in the show. It was also a shame that Freakshow didn't acknowledge that he controlled Danny, just that Danny put him in prison. Actually, that was more Freakshow's fault than Danny, if Freakshow hadn't tried to control Amity Park's hero and then tried to take him away, he never would've gotten arrested, or at least was able to get away with it all. As for your and Andy's question about that mist and Corrupted Danny, heh, we'll see if any of them gets answered or not as the story goes on.

Irusha the Kitsune: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': I'm glad you're enjoying what we've done so far. Hopefully the rest of the 'episode' is just as enjoyable for the readers. To be honest, we haven't entirely decided on any relationships. Andy is a bit too focused on his responsibilities to be a part of a relationship.

DarkFoxKit: Andy x Juliette…? … OwO

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': No… no no no… nonononononono!

The Moonfox Collective: DarkFoxKit: I should warn you to prepare yourself for the long haul with this episode. There's gonna be some wacky stuff, as well as slow, downtime stuff. We understand this type of storytelling isn't for everyone, it requires patience and a willingness to see what the characters do when they're not actively advancing the plot. But we hope you'll be able to enjoy it nonetheless.

That being said, I'm pretty sure just about everyone has already drawn the parallels between the Reality Gauntlet and the (assuming you're talking about this one) Infinity Gauntlet, heck Butch himself even admitted to basing the Reality Gauntlet off of the Infinity Gauntlet. It's just that's been done to death at this point, there's no real reason to bring it up unless you want to be that guy. I mean it would be like when someone suddenly tells you the sky is blue. You know this fact, it's an obvious fact, and you really don't want to hear multiple people telling you the sky is blue over and over again.

Yeah, Andy still has that fear of Corrupted Danny coming back. He doesn't think he could deal with another world ending apocalypse caused by his brother. I don't blame him, between Corrupted Danny and Dan, Andy is starting to think his brother is a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode at this point.

Jewel moonstone: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Yeah, Andy and Danny are both stressed by everything that's happened and it's finally catching up with them.

Least favorite holiday… that's a toughie for me since I haven't properly celebrated one myself. I don't really have a least favorite, so instead I'll share the one I have the most critique for. Black Friday. I understand the sales and the consumerism, as well as the normal hours most stores open… but seriously, couldn't the stores open just a few hours later? I either miss everything because I wake up later, or I just don't sleep until after I've gone to the store to get what I want.

DarkFoxKit: I'll admit to not liking April Fools as well because of the same reasons you don't, but if I had to pick a different least favorite holiday, then it's likely Halloween. I don't hate it, I enjoy some of the spooky stuff that comes up during Halloween, however, there is a certain… anxiety that I have every year. That is… answering the door for Trick-or-Treaters. I don't like talking to people I don't know, at least face-to-face. I also don't like having to get up from my computer chair, stopping whatever I was doing during that time, most likely writing, just to answer the door every 5 to 10 minutes just to grab a handful of candy and dump them into someone's bag. Also, when I was little, I had this big fear of spiders, especially the big plastic spiders. They always scared me, and those things are everywhere around Halloween. So yeah, childhood trauma as well.

Luna Lillyth: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Yeah, I personally know what it's like to bottle emotions and bury issues. No matter how well you bottle it or how deeply you bury it, the emotions and issues will still find their way to the surface eventually. It's a good thing that it's out in the open now because it means that they can move forward and support each other.

DarkFoxKit: Both brothers were hoping to just forget about it, and that it would eventually disappear, never to be spoken of or seen again. You can see how well that is working out for them though. ^^'

Mana: DarkFoxKit: Bug repelling candles? Huh, interesting. I doubt Andy knew those even existed, I didn't even know they existed. ^^'

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': They're usually in outdoor departments at different stores, which Andy never really has a reason to go to. I mean he already has a dislike of the outdoors, so why would he go to the outdoor department of any store? And I doubt Andy would get anywhere close to his equivalent of an REI or Bass Pro Shop.

DarkFoxKit: Heh, can't wait to see how Andy will handle that camping trip episode. That's gonna be fun. The campfire stories just kinda came out of nowhere. We were trying to figure out what they would do for fun during camping, and campfire stories… yeah, sure, why not? And it became a little more important than we were expecting. Heh, that mosquito story was actually inspired by a Yokai movie. It just happens to have elements of Corrupt Danny. As for Danny's story, that was an inspiration from another show, I think it was called Are You Scared of the Dark, or it could've been a different one. I don't remember exactly.

Heh, yeah, that nightmare scene was just something I wanted to do for fun because of another DP fanfic I read called Nowhere To Run. It was interesting enough for me to want to add that in, but due to how we've decided how their parents will find out and react, we couldn't possibly use it for real, so we decided to make it into a nightmare scene instead. It also shows why Andy and Danny are so hesitant to tell their parents.

*Gaaaaaaaaasp!* Don't you dis Control Freaks, it's perhaps one of my favorite episodes! Though if we're talking about the specials, I think Reality Trip should've been in season 1. Because Danny was acting irresponsible, hoping that he would get a break from his super hero work. That sounded like something season 1 Danny would do since he was still trying to figure out his powers, and he would more likely get sick of them at this point, not late season 2 Danny when he learned this lesson already before Reality Trip with Identity Crisis. Or at least make it so Danny doesn't seem like he doesn't care.

Season 3 I feel had a lot of potential that went to waste, but I'm pretty sure I ranted about that already. The Claw of the Wild will definitely give us a chance to see how Andy will react to camping with his school. With his friends and family, it's not so bad, but with snobby people from Casper High, that's a different story. Especially if Andy gets stuck with a roommate he wouldn't be able to get along with.

Please, don't try to figure out the show's continuity, I already had to get Andy to mess with time itself to keep it on track with the show's timeline. I decided to just say 'screw it' at this point and stick to my schedule.
