Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Hey all, sorry for the week-late upload! We took a week off of writing altogether and it kinda threw our schedule into whack. Now that we're back on schedule, we will be resuming regular bi-weekly uploads as previously promised.

DarkFoxKit: Sorry for the long wait, we hope that you guys are still with us. And those who stuck around with us for this long, thank you so much for being so patient. We hope that we'll be able to finally get to the end of season 2 soon. Because while I can't speak for Onyx here, I'm just very excited to get into the lore of the Ghost Zone once we get to season 3. :3

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': However, just as a warning ahead of time. Once we have reached the end of season 2, we will be taking a break from writing We Are Phantoms to get focused on the next Child of Mew story.

DarkFoxKit: Yeah, a lot of people have been clamoring for the sequel since we ended Child of Mew and began to focus on this story more. We really can't please everyone, but we would rather focus on one story at a time. So while we are excited for season 3, and I hope you all are too, season 3 will need to wait so we can finally get started on the long awaited Child of Mew sequel. But we appreciate your patience, and hope that when season 3 does come out, it won't disappoint.

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': I will mention, while we will be focusing on Child of Mew after season 2, we may also be working on the start of season 3. We won't start posting right away if we do have chapters, and will instead choose to build them up for when we finally do release. This is to make sure there is no extra pressure on us that will make us rush and bring down the quality of our work.

DarkFoxKit: But! Fear not, Danny Phantom fans! Once we finally do finish season 2, we can start updating The Infinite Realms again! Because we'll get past that spoiler thing that's in the next chapter, and if you are interested and need to get your DP fix from us specifically, you can start reading that. But please, bear in mind the warnings we set for The Infinite Realms, it's not quite as family friendly or plot driven as this story has been. It's more of a slice of life with kinks type story.

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': *Chuckles sheepishly* We have so much of The Infinite Realms built up that if we posted one chapter every week, we'd be able to post for quite some time without missing an upload.

DarkFoxKit: So you all have something to keep you busy with DP until season 3 for this story, if you can put up with what we do in The Infinite Realms.

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Do remember that The Infinite Realms is a Mature rated story. If you are under the appropriate age of 18, then please do not read the story as you can get not just yourself into trouble but also myself and Kit.

DarkFoxKit: Anyways, we've held you guys up long enough. Sorry for no funny skits this time. ^^' Now go on and enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 105: Strange Mood Swings

"Come on, Andy… wake up already."

I felt some slight nudging pulling me out of the comfortable darkness that I was in.

I let out a bit of a groan, not wanting to move or to get out of this comfortable darkness.

"I know you're comfortable, Andy, but the sun has already started rising."

I started to curl up a little more, not wanting to leave the comforts of the sleeping bag I was sleeping in. But someone kept nudging me. I finally started blinking open my eyes to see who was trying to wake me up. I noticed that the sun was shining from the horizon, which was odd since I thought I was sleeping in a tent.

"Finally starting to wake up I see. I was going to stop supplying you with extra heat if you didn't wake up."

"Huh?" I blinked groggily, before realizing that I wasn't sleeping in a sleeping bag, but rather my head was on someone's lap.

I looked up, seeing a familiar goat girl looking down at me with a smile.

"Hello there." Juliette smiled.

My eyes widened as I scrambled away from Juliette's lap. "Wah!? What was I doing on your lap!?"

"You fell asleep last night when you were watching the stars with me," Juliette informed. "Since you were having such a rough night before, I decided to let you sleep as you seemed really comfortable and relaxed."

My face felt very hot right now. "I… I mean… you… really should've just woke me up… and let us get back to the campsite. Everyone is going to be worried."

"I was worried that if I had woken you up, you wouldn't have been able to fall asleep with everything that was on your mind. By letting you sleep, especially after being relaxed while watching the stars, I could almost guarantee you wouldn't have any nightmares," Juliette explained her reasoning. "Though I did have to help keep you warm throughout the night with a tiny bit of magic. Though it wasn't much of a bother for me."

By now, I was sure my face resembled a tomato. Oh my gosh… I can't believe I slept out here in the clearing, with a 1400 year old ghost keeping me warm with her magic. I also never thought I would think that sentence in my life… "We… uh… we really should get back…"

"Are you going to be alright?" Juliette asked as she slowly got to her feet, dusting herself off a bit.

"Y-yeah… just… uh… next time if I fall asleep out here, just take me back to the tent," I requested, trying not to look as embarrassed as I felt.

"I'm not as strong as you and Danny are, Andy," Juliette pointed out. "I wouldn't have been able to easily carry you over there without risking waking you up, which is what I was trying my best to avoid."

"Then wake me up next time," I sighed.

"I will not," Juliette firmly stated. "If you are in need of sleep and I can't be sure you'll get to sleep after waking you up, I will simply let you sleep. It makes no logical sense to wake you up in that scenario."

Note to self; don't fall asleep near Juliette while out on a camping trip… I groaned to myself. "Let's just get back to the others before they worry."

"I am sure they are still stirring," Juliette chuckled before the air around her started to warp a little as she changed back to her human disguise. "But we shouldn't keep them waiting in case they are looking for us."

I was relieved that the others hadn't quite woken up yet by the time Juliette and I got back to the campsite. We were able to come up with the excuse we just went on a morning stroll while everyone was still asleep. Jazz would've completely freaked out if she knew I had fallen asleep in the middle of the clearing. I was pretty sure Danny would be teasing me all the way back to Amity Park if he knew I fell asleep on Juliette. I didn't think Tucker would take it all that well, considering his crush on Juliette. As for Sam… she'd likely make fun of me too.

After we had breakfast, everyone got back into the RV before Dad drove us back to Amity Park. It was nostalgic being back in Amity Park, my Amity Park. The Amity Park I grew up in, and not some other dimension Amity Park that I had to hide in. I was with my family and friends. I didn't have to hide from them, or pretend I was someone else.

I noticed that Tucker was looking between me and Juliette lately as Dad was driving on Amity Park's roads, though I wasn't sure why. It wasn't like Juliette and I were doing anything while we were sitting on our chairs. I also noticed some looks Danny was giving me, but I usually ignored them since the looks just seemed more curious than anything.

Thankfully, due to how early we had gotten into the city, we weren't caught in rush hour on one of the freeways or tollways, it was a pretty straight shot for us to go past the major part of Amity Park and get to the suburbs that I truly called home. Dad wanted to stop at Nasty Burger from some brunch, but I spoke up and said that we had eaten breakfast not long ago and it wouldn't be healthy to eat so soon afterwards.

I remembered seeing the state of the other world's Jack and knew that if I didn't do something, Dad's health would decline. I figured it would be hard to talk to Dad himself, so I came up with a plan to talk to Mom first and have her help me talk to Dad and convince him to change his diet a little. The diet he currently had seemed almost cartoonish with how much sweets and fatty foods he was able to eat without getting health problems. I was worried that it was only a matter of time before a serious health problem did pop up.

By the time we got home, to Fenton Works, everyone started unpacking. Sam and Tucker called their parents to pick them up so they could go home and unpack as well. Juliette assured that she didn't have much, and she could go home herself. I knew she was eager to show Scarlet her new friend, I just hope Scarlet takes to Lydia well. I made sure to keep Hope around my arms so she wouldn't get left behind with the luggage.

While it felt nice to be home, there was one other thing I needed to do before I could truly say we were done. While Danny, Jazz, Mom, and Dad were busy with unpacking everything, and making sure everyone got home safely, I had to take the Reality Gauntlet out from the RV's walls, and make sure nobody saw me with it. I had to sneak into the lab while making sure everyone else were busy, including Danny, to notice where I was going.

I had to go into the Ghost Zone before shifting into my ghost form to prevent Danny from sensing me. Even though we were used to each other's ghostly energy, we would still sense the other if we suddenly went into ghost form. I held onto the Reality Gauntlet as I flew to Clockwork's tower.

"Hello, Andy~"

I stopped when I heard that voice and looked around for the source. When I looked back to where I came from, I saw Clockwork laying on the side of a floating island in his adult form.

"Clockwork? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm here to save you the trip," Clockwork answered before he sheepishly chuckled a bit, turning into an old man. "Though I wasn't sure exactly when you would get here, so I waited here for you."

I blinked at that. "You weren't sure when I'd get here? But you're the Master of Time!"

"There were multiple different paths that branch off from when you woke up this morning," Clockwork explained. "There was no path that was more or less likely this time around, so I have been waiting here since the time you would've passed by here at the earliest."

I was reminded of what the other Andy from the last dimension told, about how there were different branches of the timeline, and the future was never a guaranteed thing. I wondered if that applied for Clockwork as well.

"So… you at least knew I wanted to see you," I noted as I floated to the Ancient.

"That much was a guarantee," Clockwork confirmed as he sat up, shifting into a young child.

I looked down at the Reality Gauntlet in my hands. "I take it you know about this artifact and what I went through because of it?"

"The Reality Gauntlet, specifically the right one, is one of the ancient artifacts that were made long, long ago," Clockwork stated as he looked the gauntlet over. "There are plenty of artifacts out there, some that you will eventually come across that will help you to traverse the Ghost Zone. Some of the artifacts still exist in the Ghost Zone, either moving around or locked up safely. Some exist in the living world, and others exist outside of both dimensions."

I raised a brow but Clockwork continued.

"I'm telling you all this because you would've eventually asked and found out anyways." Clockwork grinned. "Simply saving you the time and trouble. And no, I won't elaborate on what I meant by 'specifically the right one'… not that I need to elaborate."

I blinked, wondering about these artifacts that Clockwork was talking about. I wasn't even sure if I should know about them. The Reality Gauntlet was already enough for me. "Do you maybe know where the gems are then? I sort of lost them… they wouldn't end up in the wrong hands or something any time soon, would they?"

"They are in a place close to your core but also quite a journey away," Clockwork cryptically answered.

I frowned at that before Clockwork chuckled. "Don't worry, they are safe."

"Okay, that's all I needed to know," I sighed in relief. "Do you think… you could put the Reality Gauntlet somewhere safe? I'd rather it didn't fall into the wrong hands again, even without the gems."

"I can." Clockwork nodded.

I blinked, surprised at that extremely basic answer. It made me worry that there was more to it or possibly that it would come at a cost. "Buuut…?"

"Let's just say that I may call on you for something for this later," Clockwork replied.

"Like… I owe you a favor?" I questioned, frowning.

Clockwork gave a nod. "Will this be an acceptable deal?"

"I… uh… guess so. As long as it's within reason of course," I quickly said. "And it's not against my morals or something."

"Very well, then we have a deal." Clockwork smiled as he shifted in an old man and held out a hand towards the gauntlet. "You should head on back soon. Your family may worry."

"Right…" I answered back, looking at Clockwork and the Reality Gauntlet once more before I started to head back.

"Oh, and one more thing," Clockwork spoke up. "Watch what you do and say outside of your home or the opera house when school starts back up, there will be ones who wish to hear anything you have to say and scrutinize anything you do."

I didn't like the cryptic warning, but if I had to watch what I said and did, then that meant something was about to happen. "Why can't you say what you mean sometimes?"

"Because too much of a warning can throw off the timeline or create paradoxes," Clockwork replied. "Do not drive yourself crazy though, you only need to watch yourself for a week or two before the eyes and ears shift their attention to others."

"Right… thanks for the warning then, Clockwork," I sighed before I began flying back to the portal.

I looked back at Clockwork, seeing he had already disappeared with the Reality Gauntlet. I could only hope that whatever favor I owed Clockwork in the future for this wouldn't come back and bite me in the butt.

I then facepalmed a bit when I went over what I had said. I told Clockwork that the favor had to be within reason, but I didn't specify it had to be within my range of reasoning. I knew I was going to hate myself in the future for that little screw up later. But for now, I was just going to relax back at home with my family.

The rest of the summer break had been pretty easy going. Since Danny and I didn't have to worry about school or homework for a while, we were free to just have fun or fight with ghosts whenever one showed up. I liked how much easier it was to deal with a ghost attack since we didn't have school to worry about. Of course, Mom and Dad would still sometimes shoot at us if they saw us during their ghost patrol, but we usually got away from them with little to no issues.

While Sam had been spending more time with us since our vacation, mostly to ditch her parents because they were still driving her crazy, Tucker had been busy. He said it was because he needed to get prepared for when school started up again due to still being the class president.

Juliette had introduced Scarlet to Lydia, and from what I could see, there weren't any conflicts between the two servants. Although when Lydia first came out of Juliette's shadow, Scarlet nearly attacked the former circus ghost. Their relationship was still a bit rocky, but Juliette had made it absolutely clear that neither of them were to attack each other. Juliette had begun to work on rehabilitating Lydia, when she wasn't training on her own or with me. Danny had his own training with Scarlet and Juliette, though more often with Scarlet.

Jazz was spending most of her time researching. She was going over a lot of different kinds of books, she was eager for when she could finally get into college next summer. Though she did also make sure to look after me and Danny after every ghost fight, she was still our protective big sister after all.

It seemed everything was normal now, at least our version of normal. The only thing missing was actually having school again, which was unfortunately fast approaching. I appreciated this break from school, though a part of me did want to get back to learning. Sometimes I would get a visit from Dash, and hear about how he had been doing during the summer himself. Valerie would chat with me online, telling me about her summer vacation, though she still had to work at the Nasty Burger as a part time job. She would sometimes whisper to me about her own ghost fighting career though, and she had been talking to Dash about it lately too.

I had tried talking to Mom about Dad's health, and she said she would talk to him, but it ended up seeming like the conversation either didn't happen or didn't have any impact on Dad. He had continued eating like a cartoon character, not caring about the amount of food he was eating or what type it was. I was so worried that I had actually looked into the future a bit, both for Dad's sake as well as practice, and saw the vague images that Mom would freak out and Dad would see Mom's worry. I could only hope that Mom's worry would do something in the future…

I had started working more on trying to see into the future without needing to use that watch. Without the watch, it was much harder, but at least I wasn't getting a headache from it. I had to look slowly, and most of the images were blurry the more I looked into them. It was clear I couldn't keep doing it in one sitting for too long, I would need constant breaks. But at least I knew it was possible for me to use my visions at will like that other version of me.

Before I knew it, the first day of school had arrived. Looking at the calendar, it was also the anniversary Danny first got his powers from the accident. I was a little surprised at how fast time flew by, and it had been a year already since the first accident.

I looked over at Danny, who was just now getting up out of bed. "Hey, good morning, bro. Ready to go back to our first day of school?"

Danny frowned. "That's today? Oh jeez, it feels like it's too soon. What if we don't have enough books? What if we don't have enough paper or pencils? Oh, what if a ghost decides to attack again in the middle of class? What if it's a strong one this time? We would have a hard time leaving the classroom! We're already in the 10th grade, aren't we? What if we-"

"Danny! Relax! Jeez, usually I'm the one making lists of the 'what ifs', not you," I spoke up, giving Danny a bit of a worried look, noticing he was shivering a little. "Are… you okay? Did you not get enough sleep last night or something?"

"I… I'm fine, bro. I slept alright, just a bit nervous is all…" Danny replied as he itched his left arm a little. "Don't know why, we'll be fiiiine. Fine! It's only the first day, they usually go easy on the first day. And… silly me, we get our books when we get to school. Besides, how are we going to go through all the graphite in the mechanical pencils of ours and the two notebooks we each have in only one day?"

I looked at Danny as he was constantly talking. I furrowed my eyebrows a bit. "Danny… maybe you should go brush your teeth or something. Maybe you need to get rid of some of that… grogginess."

Danny nodded as he started walking towards the bathroom. "I might go take a quick shower… I set the alarm a bit earlier so we would have the extra time."

"Oh, and happy anniversary," I said suddenly as I marked the calendar with a marker.

"Y-yeah… you too…" Danny muttered, probably not understanding what I was talking about.

After about 7 seconds, Danny suddenly rushed back into the room and looked at me. "Wait, happy anniversary for what? Did I miss something important!?"

"Relax, Danny," I grumbled. "It's just the anniversary of your first accident is all."

"O-oh…" Danny frowned. "I… don't really know if that's something I want to celebrate… considering it's the day I almost died…"

"It's not a day I would celebrate either considering how bad it was for all of us," I admitted.

"Then why did you say 'happy anniversary'?" Danny pouted. "Are you trying to wish bad luck on me or something?!"

I raised an eyebrow at Danny's reaction. "It was also the day you became Danny Phantom, when a hero emerged to protect this city."

Danny shook his head. "Technically I only emerged a month later… and even so, becoming Danny Phantom doesn't exactly offset the other half. It more… cancels one another out. So it'd be better to say 'meh anniversary' or something."

"Okay, you just go brush your teeth before I go get Jazz to start talking to you," I sighed, starting to lose a little bit of my patience.

"I told you I would be showering…" Danny mumbled as he turned and headed out of the room.

During breakfast with Mom, Dad, and Jazz, Danny had been acting weird. He carefully poured out a bowl of cereal, and almost flinched when too much came out of the box. He spilled his milk a little bit and that made him yelp, as if the milk touching the counter was suddenly a super bad thing to him. Though… knowing this family's history of great food products, I wouldn't be too surprised if the milk turned out to be white colored acid…

Mom and Dad did notice how weird Danny was acting. They were looking at him for a moment, which was making Danny looking more nervous.

Dad then smiled. "So, Danny, what do you plan on doing for your first day back at school?"

I knew Dad said that to try to ease Danny in on a conversation, or that Danny was just nervous going back to school again after the long summer break.

"Oh uh… I don't exactly have anything planned," Danny quickly answered. "You know… attend class, hope for no homework cause it's the first day, eat cafeteria food, regret eating cafeteria food, regret eating cafeteria food before gym class, and that's about it. Afterwards, I'm not sure… it depends on how the day goes. After all, I'm usually making my plans up in the moment, on the fly, by the seat of my pants-"

"We get it, bro, you make stuff up as you go…" I interrupted Danny, feeling like he was going to go on and on.

"Andy, don't interrupt your brother, that was rude," Mom said.

Dad then let out a hearty laugh, which got Danny to flinch a bit. "First time I've heard one of my sons talk about school in such a way!"

Danny shook his head, focusing on the conversation to calm himself a bit. "No, it's f-fine, Mom. I was dragging on a bit and was probably being annoying. I was ranting a bit and Andy interrupting helped stop me."

"It was still rude to interrupt you like that, but if you're alright with it…" Mom sighed before looking at Jack then down at a tablet she was holding. "Jack, are you sure you want to make something like this for our newest invention?"

"Why yes, Mads! It'll be perfect for interrogating ghosts!" Dad smiled.

While our parents were talking about a new invention, I leaned over to Jazz. "Have you… noticed how skittish and… ranty Danny's been today?"

"Yes, but I've also noticed your lack of patience with him," Jazz answered. "It could just be a simple case of the nerves, going back to school after a long break tends to do that. Or, you two could be having a really early midlife crisis… at the same time, but that's very unlikely."

I furrowed my eyebrows at that. "I highly doubt it's just because it's the first day of school. Danny never acts like such a spaz, even when we were about to face off with ghosts like Pariah Dark or freaking Aragon."

Jazz raised an eyebrow at me, likely at my attitude. I frowned, and rubbed my face a bit. "Sorry… I don't know what's gotten into me… maybe I'll be fine once we get to school."

"It could be that you two are subconsciously putting extra expectations on yourself that is driving you up the wall," Jazz theorized. "After all, you two aren't freshmen anymore, you're sophomores. I know that going into my sophomore year, I was worried that freshmen would start looking up to me for help, and that made me a bit worried because I didn't know if I'd be able to help them as much as I wanted to."

I wasn't sure if it was as simple as that, but it was the only thing I had to go by. I decided to just leave it at that, and hope Danny would stop being so weird by the time we got to school.

Danny didn't stop acting weird by the time we got to school, in fact, he got worse. He kept looking around while we were on our way to school, as if he was looking for danger, or rather, that danger was on every corner for him. I had to keep whispering at him to stop before he went intangible or something in the middle of the streets.

I was relieved when we met up with Tucker and Sam at Casper High's doors.

"Hey guys, we-" Sam started to say before I spoke up.

"Tucker! Sam! It's great to see you two again! Now please talk to Danny before I explode!" I grinned and spoke a little bit too loudly.

"What's going on?" Tucker asked with a frown before looking at Danny. "Are you alright, dude?"

"Who has time to be alright when a ghost could come around the corner at any second?" Danny hissed, and started to look around again.

"Well, technically two came around the corner not too long ago~" Tucker chuckled.

"Wait, really?!" Danny yelped as he spun around, almost smacking me in the process. "Where?!"

"I… was talking about you and Andy…" Tucker blinked.

"For the twelfth time since you freaked out over a 'ghost' being nearby; you would be able to sense one coming!" I growled. "Can you please stop looking around as if someone is just going to materialize and cut your head off!?"

Danny frowned, and sheepishly turned back around.

"Do you see what I had to deal with this morning?" I groaned to Tucker and Sam. "I don't know why he's been acting like this."

"Says the one who is a bit snippy," Sam noted.

"I am not snippy!" I snapped.

"Oh? Then what would you call that right there?" Sam raised a brow and crossed her arms. "Slightly peeved? Bothered?"

I glared at Sam, not in the mood for her 'know-it-all' attitude right now.

Tucker, likely sensing the tension, quickly spoke up. "H-how about we go ahead and get into the school before the warning bell rings? We have some time to catch up on, don't we?"

"Or before lightning starts shooting out of Andy's eyes…" Sam softly remarked as she turned towards the school.

I deflated a bit, realizing that I may have been a bit of a jerk to my friends lately. Though I didn't know why I was feeling so agitated. It wasn't like it was my first time coming back to school after a long summer break. I was starting to worry that I may be going crazy, or worse… corrupted. I looked over at Danny, seeing him shivering a bit as he looked around like a skittish animal again, and the agitated feeling was coming back.

"Let's… just get in the school…" I sighed, trying my hardest to be as patient as possible.

Admittedly, getting by homeroom was harder than it should've been. I felt impatient all day, my leg was tapping, I felt like I was trapped in the room, it felt stuffy, and I didn't like being near so many other people. Danny was sitting beside me, but even so, I still felt agitated. Especially since he was looking all meek and worried around the other people around us. I noticed that I had accidentally let a little bit of my powers leak at one point, as the pencils under my desk were floating a little. I quickly stopped my telekinesis and tried to calm myself down.

"Hey, Andy, how are you?" Valerie greeted as she walked up to me in the hallway between class.

"I'm… I guess you could say… a bit agitated. Must be the nerves… first day back at school after a really good vacation," I answered, trying to sound calm, and also trying to hold down any leakage of my ghost power.

"I wouldn't be surprised if that 'really good vacation' wasn't all that it was cracked up to be," Valerie chuckled. "Perhaps you're a bit stressed because for the time when you were on the road, it was like sardines packed into a can. That RV your family has isn't the biggest RV out there, I couldn't imagine what it must've been like to be travelling with so many people in it."

"It wasn't that bad," I replied. "I mean it started out pretty rocky, especially during the first camping trip, since I really don't like camping…"

I paused as a sudden strange feeling of worry and sadness began to overtake the agitation. I rubbed my forehead a bit. "But… I enjoyed it… and I miss it now that I think about it… and there was so much we could've done… maybe we should've done more before coming back." We never did figure out if Danny still had that corruption in him. What if I have that now too? Is that why I was feeling so agitated until now? Have I been tainted somehow? Where's Danny now? I need to talk to him. I need to apologize for being so mean!

"I guess that means you should start counting down the days until next summer break." Valerie giggled. "Unless you have some way to turn back time and do the events of the summer over again. Which… if you do I'd really like to know so I don't get caught in what is now known as 'the great condiment flood'."

I stared at Valerie for a moment, worried that she knew that I actually did sort of reset the summer break in a way.

"I did tell you about that, right? How the rack holding all the different condiments broke and all the condiments spilled on me and my coworker," Valerie questioned with a sheepish grin. "Then again, with how I feel about the event, I might not have."

"Oh, that must've been so horrible for you and your coworker!" I nearly cried.

"I smelled like condiments for 2 weeks afterwards, despite all the showers and baths I took," Valerie chuckled before looking at me. "Wait… Andy, why are you crying?"

I quickly wiped my tears, and put on a strained smile. "O-oh… I… uh… w-wanted to practice for drama class… uh… yeah…" What is wrong with me!?

"There's no drama class, Andy," Valerie noted with a confused look. "Wait… did you sign up for the drama club? I didn't think that drama was your type of activity."

"I was… considering it, that's all. Not that there's anything wrong with the drama club, I'm sure it has a lot of lovely people," I replied awkwardly. "Uh… I should go. I need to talk to Danny about something important."

Valerie blinked a bit as I walked away. "Alright, I'll talk to you later!"

It wasn't until lunch time at the cafeteria were we able to really talk. The time in between classes were difficult to find Danny because he kept going invisible to look for ghosts or whatever he was doing. And during classes, we had to pay attention to the teachers. But now that we were, somewhat free, we could finally talk. If only I had the motivation to.

I felt like crying, or like everything was hopeless. I didn't know what was happening to me, but it wasn't good, whatever it was. I might as well just be morphing into a monster at this point, because I was so mean to my friends earlier. Speaking of friends, Tucker and Sam were looking at me and Danny in concern. Danny himself was looking at me with an expression of disdain.

"Must you look so miserable?" Danny asked with a frown. "You're going to give the freshmen a bad image of our group if you keep looking like a lost and hurt puppy."

I sniffled a bit. "But everything is wrong. You're acting super weird, and I've been so mean and impatient with you all. Maybe I'm just turning bad."

"The only weird one here is you," Danny scoffed. "I could never be weird. Unique, yes, but not weird."

"You were acting all skittish and ranty… and now you're acting all… half Danny again," I pouted.

"I was only getting that nonsense out of my system earlier so the rest of the school year would go as best as possible." Danny grinned

"We… are seriously starting to get concerned for you two," Tucker spoke up.

"You think their parents may have accidentally released something in the house that has them acting this way?" Sam asked Tucker. "Some kind of… ghost scrambler that actually scrambles emotions?"

"I don't know… Danny, Andy, did your parents use anything weird this morning?" Tucker asked the twins.

"No, there was nothing weird about this morning," Danny answered. "I had a marvelous shower, a delicious breakfast, and then I headed to school."

"Sadly, knowing their parents' track record, it could've been something that happened when they were asleep…" Tucker muttered. "Which means they might not know about it. Whatever it is."

"It could be, or it could be something else, something to do with our ghost half," I spoke up, before I started tearing up. "And we can't do anything about it!"

"Seriously, get ahold of yourself, brother, you are making a fool of yourself instead of showing how strong and proud you truly are." Danny grinned, however the grin quickly turned into a frown.

Danny started to cough a little, then more, and finally there was one big coughing fit before he coughed up some glowing green liquid into his hand.

"D-Danny! What's happening?" Sam freaked out.

Tucker quickly grabbed a napkin, wanting to try to hide the green liquid before anyone else saw it.

"I'm not sure, it seems as if… I am feeling unwell…" Danny frowned.

"Yeah, this is sounding more and more like that fenton scrambler thing I thought I made up," Sam noted before looking at me. "You don't feel like you're going to start coughing up ectoplasm too, do you?"

I was staring in horror at Danny. "He must be having a ghost sickness! I… I need to call a ghost to heal him!"

"What?" Tucker and Sam blinked at me.

I pulled out my smartphone from my pocket and quickly dialed a certain number on it. "Hurry, pick up!"

The phone rang and rang for an agonizingly long time… though looking back on it now, it only rang twice or three times before the call was picked up.

"Yes, hello? Am I doing this phone thing right?" I heard Juliette's voice answer, though it sounded like she was fumbling with the phone a bit.

Over the rest of the break; Danny, Tucker, Sam, and I had gotten together and gotten Juliette a smartphone. She quickly returned it to us and asked us for something more simplistic for her as she wasn't comfortable using a smartphone. We ended up getting a landline phone for her.

"Juliette!" I nearly screamed out. "Danny's at school, and coughing up ectoplasm, and acting all weird. Can you come and help us, please? I don't know what's wrong and I'm scared, and worried, and I wanna cry!"

"Hmmm… very well, I shall come immediately," Juliette answered before she shouted. "Scarlet, I'm going out! Lydia, come with me in my shadow. Let's see… I should devise a new form that won't be questioned as showing up at their school as a child would likely get me in-"

"I'm going to hang up now," I quickly said, realizing that Juliette likely still needed a few lessons on how to use a phone. "I'm really really sorry and hope you don't hate me for it. Please hurry!"

I hung up, and looked back at Tucker and Sam. I noticed they were helping Danny out of the cafeteria, into the halls, and to the janitor's closet. This was likely to hide him from everyone else while he was coughing up ectoplasm. I quickly ran after them, not wanting to be left out, like I used to be.

When we were in the janitor's closet, I closed the door behind us. Danny was still coughing, and looking a bit pale.

"How did this happen? Is Danny starting to destabilize?" I questioned as I began to pace a bit. "Could halfas destabilize? What is happening to him!? To us?"

I started to feel a little nauseous, and stopped moving for a moment. No, no, no, no, don't you dare...

"If you're about to puke, go for either the rolling trash can or mop bucket," Tucker stated, likely seeing my face literally turn green for a moment.

Unfortunately, I couldn't hold out for long. I ran to the nearest bucket, which was indeed the mop bucket, and started to puke out ectoplasm. Ectoplasm burned, but it only felt slightly hot in my throat. I groaned a bit, hating this sick feeling.

"What should we do, Tucker? I've never seen them puke ectoplasm before," I heard Sam asking in worry.

"We should uh… wait for Juliette to get here and try to help them out as much as possible," Tucker answered, his tone a bit panicky. "I don't know what else to do beside that. I mean… we could take them back home, but if their parents saw them like this… my mind literally can't imagine all the ways it could go wrong."

I wanted to reassure them we would be fine, but I would just be lying to them and myself. I had no idea what was happening to us. I felt someone trying to rub my back. It was likely Tucker, since Sam would be doing the same to Danny, and the hands were a bit too big to be Sam's.

"Excuse me…" Someone asked as the door to the closet opened up. "I am looking for my grandchildren… are they in here? I was told by the helpful kids in the cafeteria that they were seen coming this way."

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but-" Sam started to say before the source of the voice walked in.

I turned to see a somewhat senior looking old woman looking down at me with a comforting smile.

Raidentensho: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Lairs are not a reference to Black Clover and are in fact something all their own. I haven't ever gotten far into the anime and I don't think Fox has ever watched even a few minutes of it. Lairs are actual locations tied to a ghost, a physical place that they can go to. If it helps make sense, Lairs are kinda like the spell Dimension Home. I won't go into it much more right now.

DarkFoxKit: We do go into details about how ghostly lairs work later in the story, so we won't say much about them right now.

ArashiNokitsune: DarkFoxKit: It's not that Danny's moral compass is going bad or anything, he still does more right than wrong. It's just he still has that corrupted mist inside him, and whenever it activates, it twists his mind, putting him back into that mindset he had when he was Corrupted Danny. Andy fears Danny becoming corrupted again, especially now that he knows it's very possible for it to happen again. If it was Andy who had the mist inside him, he'd be in the same boat as Danny. So Danny is more of a ticking time bomb now, unless he can get better control of himself whenever the mist activates again. It's like how when someone turns into a werewolf, they have little to no control of themselves, unless they learn how to keep their minds when they transform. It's not Danny's fault, not entirely. But I do see your point about Andy's stress building up to the point that he could snap. I do have plans for this in the future, but I won't say much about it right now.

DP-Marvel94: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Yeah, what Danny went through kinda… broke him a bit. His strong desire to help keep everyone safe made him snap and break out of his containment like Mewtwo. And like Mewtwo, Danny proceeded to rampage. As for how Andy had to handle it and how Danny had to pretty much be turned into a puppy, yeah it was definitely sad. It wasn't easy for Andy to do that, but he knew he had to in order to make things right. Andy can be very indecisive about big events or points of information, especially after the… 'misunderstanding' in regards to Danny in My Brother's a Ghost.

Andy: Hey, I take offense to that!

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': *Looks at Andy with a deadpan expression* You essentially thought your brother was a dead man walking. Kinda like a zombie.

DarkFoxKit: Anyways! Yes, I do think it would make things more interesting if Danny and Andy never saw their parents accepting them for their ghost powers. Gives them more of a reason to be worried about telling them. There are different ways the reveal could go, in fact, I wanted to write out most of the bad ways it could go via Andy's nightmares or visions. But for the actual reveal, that's gonna be… fun. :3

Elfianna: DarkFoxKit: Hello, it's always nice to see a new reviewer. I understand about not being good at writing a review, I always think the same way when I try to leave a review to someone else's story. But we thank you for your courage and words regardless. I'm very happy to know you enjoyed the OCs we've put into the story. Andy has been someone I've worked on for a long time now. He started out as more of a test drive for me to write the Danny Phantom story without actually making him half ghost, to see what a character who wasn't in the know sees the world when the ghosts start attacking. Making him Danny's twin made him more determined to find out what's going on, and how he feels when he sees his brother is a ghost. I enjoyed growing Andy's character when he started bonding with Danny again, after that bond had been slowly fading away after Danny's accident in the lab. Season 2 had been a great way to have them bond again as halfas, and for Danny to help Andy accept his ghost half, and how to use it. I hope you will continue to enjoy this story.

Mana16: DarkFoxKit: It could be Danny's connection, though remember that the mist inside Danny isn't easy to get rid of. Even when Andy reversed time to before Danny was infused with the mist, it was still there, just dormant. We also figured it would be more fitting if Andy used the Reality Gauntlet to erase what happened with the GIW, but not the entire vacation. And Andy had a darn good reason to do so.

Don't worry about the Gems, I'm sure they'll come back eventually. At least Andy didn't decide to just destroy them and the Reality Gauntlet like Danny did in the canon episode.

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Honestly… personally I was a bit peeved by how the canon episode just… destroyed them. I mean they're super powerful artifacts. Destroying them would cause untold effects as all the energy and power in those gems would be released in one instant. *Sighs* But I'm not going to go down that rabbit hole. Rick Riordan… I honestly didn't remember the name but I once read the entire Percy Jackson series. The movies didn't do the books justice and I wish they had gotten a better treatment. I haven't read any of the other series.

The reason Juliette was naming off the Greek Gods was because she was using her magic to tap into their powers and elements through the chants. The reason she used Greek Gods is because they were one of the pantheons she studied when learning magic.

DarkFoxKit: I love the Night Fury and Light Fury too!

The ghostly lairs do get explained in more details later in the story, so look forward to that. As for Butch's idea of Danny having a lair… I actually didn't know that Butch was planning to give Danny a lair. The lair idea was inspired by Mortified, a Danny Phantom fanfiction written by FiveRivers. I liked how they portrayed the ghostly lairs, so I decided to use it in my story as well. Having Sidney's lair turn on him was also inspired by Mortified. As for the mirror, yeah, I like the idea of mirror portals as well. Might explain some of the ghost stories involving things like Bloody Mary.

If you're asking me about what Sam would do when she gets older, I could see her becoming several different things if we're going off of her interests. She could run her own vet, she could study animals, do research out in the field with different types of plants to make medicine. She would likely become a ghost huntress as well alongside Tucker and Danny. She doesn't have to be limited to her interests though, but those are just some of the examples I could see her doing.

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': One route in my mind has Sam becoming the first human mage in a long time under the tutelage of Juliette. Magic just… fits Sam really well. She seems like the type of person who would have a black cat familiar and everything.

Luna Lillyth: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Yeah, it was quite the surprise for a lot of people. And you should be scared of red Danny, he's not his usual happy self and can be a terrifying beast.

DarkFoxKit: Not to mention he's also far less forgiving. He's actually based off of Zavraan's evil Danny form. When I made the movie of My Brother's a Ghost, introducing Corrupted Danny, I made his form from that evil form I saw from Zavraan, someone who made that form of Danny on deviantart. You're free to look at it if you're curious to what Corrupted Danny actually looks like. One final note about Corrupted Danny, I did ask Zavraan if I could use that Danny, and they gave me the green light.
