DarkFoxKit: Hey, how's everybody doing? Oh, if you're worried about the explosion last AN, don't worry, nothing actually happened. It was just harmless special effects.

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Uh huh… sure… 'special effects'... *Picks some small rubble out Fox's fur*

DarkFoxKit: Ignore that.

Andy: Why do I hang out with you two again?

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': My guess is that you hope that by hanging out with us we might make things less chaotic for you.

DarkFoxKit: Nah, he just isn't allowed to leave us. :3

Andy: You both scare me. So, you going to tell everyone why you couldn't update last time?

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Awwww, I'm hurt. But uh… well, Fox… would you like to say? Or should I?

DarkFoxKit: Well, other than cleaning up from the special effects, there was some life stuff going on. Let's just say I needed some time to recover from a loss.

Darkzdragon 'Onyx': That was unfortunately combined with a little bit of burnout from writing and writing and writing… and writing. So the loss combined with burnout kinda made us decide to take some time off.

DarkFoxKit: But at least we're able to update today, so we hope you guys will enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 115: The Guys in White's Assault

Danny and I were flying through the night sky together. We had to keep in contact with each other so we wouldn't lose the other as using this stealth invisibility made it very hard for us to keep track of each other. So we were pretty much holding hands as we flew. I couldn't help but notice that when Danny first held my hand, his glove was very cold, it was almost like touching ice. But after a while of flying, his hand warmed up to a more bearable temperature. I would say that it could've been body heat, until I remembered he was a ghost right now, I wasn't sure if he had body heat, especially since he was always cold in ghost form. So what made his hand warm up?

"Hey, Danny… do you think Hope… likes me?" I asked as we were flying to the Observatory.

"Hmmm? Why do you ask?" Danny questioned in response. "Do you think that she doesn't like you?"

"I'm not sure. For as long as I've known her, she's always been… pretty sassy with me," I answered. "And we didn't exactly get off on the right foot when we met either."

"Perhaps her being sassy is just how she regularly is," Danny responded. "I mean… you might not have had the best first impressions, but she's stuck around with us for this long. And if she didn't like you, she likely wouldn't talk to you."

"I guess… maybe I'm just being too sensitive," I replied, feeling a little embarrassed about talking about if Hope liked me or not.

"Hmm…" Danny muttered. "You can see the future a lot easier now, right? Couldn't you just look in the future to see if she likes you? Or if you were worried about me becoming… uh… twisted, couldn't you have looked in the future about that?"

"It doesn't always work like that," I sighed. "After all, I can't always see what I can't perceive."

"So… what you're saying is you need to use your…" Danny trailed off and became visible just so he could give me a huge smirk. "Imaginaaaaation!~"

I gave Danny a small smack on the arm. "That wasn't funny."

"It was a little funny," Danny chuckled as he became invisible again. "Though the point was completely serious. You need to open up your mind and be able to imagine more. If perception is your limitation, then you need to start imagining things that might be difficult, nearly impossible, or things you wouldn't normally imagine. If you can broaden your perception, you can see more futures. Right?"

I hesitated a little. "Well… it's not that I can't imagine it… it's just… it's more like… I don't want to see it. I mean I don't really want to see you becoming… twisted again."

"And that's a fair enough hope to have, bro, but that's exactly the point. You can hope I will never become like that again, but you need to be able to imagine scenarios where I could in order to help me avoid it," Danny pointed out. "You may not want to see it, but you have to see it in order to stop it from happening. Just because you blind yourself to what's out there doesn't mean it's not still out there. Even if someone sees no evil, hears no evil, does no evil, and speaks no evil doesn't mean there isn't still evil out there."

Unfortunately, that was all too true. As wise as the four wise monkeys are, they don't exactly keep out evil. "Do you think you could become like that again?" I asked a little quietly.

"It's…" Danny hesitated. "Do you want the honest answer or the answer you want to hear?"

I hesitated for a moment. The fact that Danny had to ask me that already answered my question. "... I guess it's not really a matter of if… but when… right?"

"Yeah, it's definitely a possibility," Danny confirmed. "The question isn't exactly 'when', but 'why' and 'what'. What would push me to such extremes, what events could transpire that bring out that side of me, why would I be using that form. Those are the questions that need to be asked."

Because there doesn't seem to be a way to remove that mist from inside him. And even if we could, his body already knows that form, it's likely he would still have access to it with or without that accursed mist… I frowned to myself. I guess my brother's become a ticking time bomb at this point.

Then something occurred to me. Danny almost lost control when the Guys in White put the people he loved in danger, and almost experimented on him. Love can create hate… and with Sam, that could be especially true. What if we were too late? What if Elliot already became Sam's boyfriend by the time we get there? And Danny sees them kissing? And that's enough to push him over the edge? Danny's gotten a lot stronger these past several months. I don't know if I could face Corrupted Danny again like this!

"Andy, calm down, I can feel you sweating through your gloves," Danny spoke up, interrupting my panicking thoughts.

"Sorry… I started going down the rabbit hole again," I sighed.

"Maybe we need to fill that hole in," Danny replied.

"I'm just… worried," I admitted. "Since we don't know what could set you off, and we're heading to a hot spot for drama right now. Worst case scenario, you turn if you see Sam kissing Elliot."

"Bro, I'm not going to get set off by relatively easy things like that. Sure, it would really hurt to see that. But what would set me off… honestly it'd be on the level of seeing one of you get really badly hurt or killed," Danny assured, though it wasn't as assuring as he meant it to be. "Or if someone messed with our family."

I could see the Observatory ahead of us. "Maybe we'll talk about it later, we're almost there."

I was relieved to have a distraction from my thoughts. I wouldn't even know where to begin with handling all the stress that came with trying to get our parents to accept ghosts as people too, combined with Danny's possibility of becoming Corrupted Danny again, as well as the stress of a daily life with or without ghosts. I took a deep breath, deciding to deal with one problem at a time.

Both of us landed on one side of the observatory. We silently walked behind a wall, away from prying eyes. Danny and I changed back to our human forms, releasing our invisibility as well.

"Wow, there's a lot more people here than I thought there would be," Danny remarked as he looked around. "I didn't hear of any astronomical event tonight, so perhaps these people are just stargazing."

"Most of them are either couples or in a group," I noted. "Must be a romantic night tonight, not a single cloud in the sky."

"It'd probably be better if these couples waited for a meteor shower or comet," Danny chuckled. "Especially the rare Lover's Comet."

"Hey, don't tell me, tell it to these people," I chuckled. "Now, where could Sam be?"

"Knowing Sam… she'd want to be away from the large groups of people," Danny muttered as he looked around. "Most of the couples are gathering near the side of the terrace that faces the moon. So Sam is likely on the opposite side."

Danny and I started heading to the opposite side of the terrace, away from the side that faced the moon. It was a full moon tonight, lighting up the sky pretty brightly. I personally was hoping there would be no ghost attacks.

There were less people here, making it easier for us to move around. Danny smiled as he spotted someone. "There she is."

Sam was leaning against the terrace's carved stone railing, she looked like she was waiting and was a bit bored.

"I don't see Elliot… so this could be your chance to talk to her," I suggested.

Danny gulped a bit. "Maybe we should wait and-"

"No waiting, Danny, you've waited long enough and look at where it's got you," I said firmly. "You're going to go over there, and tell Sam exactly how you feel. If she says no, it's not going to be the end of the world."

I grabbed onto Danny's shoulder, spun him around so he would be facing Danny, then pushed him. Danny wobbled forward in Sam's direction. After I pushed him, I went invisible, so I could keep myself hidden and watch what happened.

"Oh, hey, Danny," Sam greeted when she noticed Danny.

"H-hey, Sam…" Danny nervously greeted. "So… I know you texted me and said you were meeting up with Elliot here and… you were gonna… ask him to be your boyfriend."

"Yeah… well…" Sam hesitated for a moment. "I've been dating with him for the past couple of weeks now, and… he said he'd like to go steady with me, but he wanted to wait until I was comfortable enough to ask him to be my boyfriend. And… I do want to give him a chance, but… well… I guess you can say one thing had been holding me back."

"O-oh?" Danny asked, looking as nervous as ever.

Danny glanced back at me, and I gestured to him to keep talking to her despite being invisible. Thankfully I was using an easier invisibility that made it so humans couldn't see me, but ghosts could still make me out.

"I sent you that text, Danny, because I needed to know something," Sam stated as she looked at Danny's blue eyes.

Danny gulped before he cleared his throat. "And I have something that I need to tell you… Sam… We've known each other for a while, been friends since childhood. And over that time, we've really gotten to know each other. And uh… with how things have been going lately, and the fact that we're getting ever closer to being adults… I've been uh… thinking… a lot. And Sam… I… think I truly lo-"

"Hey, Danny and Sam!" Elliot spoke up as he walked over, unintentionally interrupting Danny and making me silently groan to myself. "I didn't expect to see you here tonight, Danny."

It's almost like the universe arranges this stuff just to mess with us. I mean seriously! What are the chances of Elliot showing up exactly at the moment that Danny starts telling Sam that he loves her?! I inwardly raged, knowing this wasn't the first time something 'conveniently' happened at the 'perfect' time to cause us unending annoyance and torture.

"Elliot! Hi… I uh… like coming here sometimes, because I like stargazing," Danny replied to Elliot, giving a bit of a strained smile.

Although I couldn't hear my brother's thoughts, I just knew he was screaming angrily in his head right now. And judging from Sam's strained expression, she likely was doing the same or similar.

Elliot approached Danny and Sam, giving them a curious look. "I'm sorry, did I interrupt something?"

"N-no, we were just chatting," Danny quickly said.

"Y-yeah, just… chatting." Sam frowned.

Danny frowned and I was trying to send signals to him to get him to show that bit of confidence he did with the Guys in White agents before and tell Sam anyways.

Danny was giving me a pleading look. And I gave a silent sigh. I looked around quickly, making sure nobody was looking at this particular spot, then I dropped my invisibility and started walking to them like I had been here and just saw them.

"Hey, Danny, this is where you went." I smiled, sounding casual. "Hey, Sam, Elliot, nice to see you two."

"Uh, hey Andy," Sam greeted.

"Andy? Ah, I see, you came with your brother, didn't you?"Elliot smiled.

"Yeah, he likes dragging me with him a lot," I chuckled. "Oh, since you're here, Elliot, would you mind looking at something for me?"

"What is it?" Elliot asked. "Cause if it's something that's gonna take a bit of time, I'll have to look at it af-"

Elliot was interrupted when a white jet suddenly flew up in front of the terrace, a missile rack sliding down from the belly of the jet.

"Uhhh… are those missiles?" Elliot asked in shock. "And… why is the jet pointing right at us?"

"Move!" Danny and I shouted.

Danny took Sam's hand and quickly ran, while I pushed Elliot down just before the missiles were launched at us. I jumped out of the way as the missile missed Elliot by just a hair. The missiles ended up hitting parts of the observatory, blowing up a good chunk of it. People were screaming and running away in a panic.

For once it wasn't a ghost attacking them, but straight up human beings. Okay, maybe it wasn't that unusual. But still, these agents are being reckless! They could get people killed with this stunt!

I looked up in the sky, seeing the jet plane was still facing us. The empty missile rack pulled into the belly of the jet before a fresh missile rack came out.

"How many missiles do they have?!" Elliot yelled. "And why are they attacking the observatory?!"

"I think they're attacking us!" Sam informed.

"WHY?!" Elliot cried out.

"Ghost boy, surrender now and we won't launch another volley!" One of the Guys in White agents said through a speaker somewhere on the jet.

Oh crab basket in a sauna! Did they somehow find out Danny was the ghost boy? Or did they see me become visible? I frowned as my heart dropped down to my stomach.

"They think the ghost boy is here?" Danny asked, though I could hear the nervousness in his tone, as well as a crack in his voice.

A spotlight was suddenly shining on Elliot. "You have 3 seconds to comply! Surrender or we open fire!"

"What!? ARE YOU CRAZY!?" Elliot shouted. "I'm not a ghost!"

The jet began to open fire, but instead of missiles this time, they were shooting some kind of blue lasers from the jet's wings. Elliot yelped as he began running for his life. Danny, Sam, and I had to scramble to get away from the line of fire. That firepower the Guys in White were using would hurt ghosts and humans. I ran behind one of the remaining walls of the observatory, and looked out, trying to asset the situation. I couldn't see where Danny or Sam went, but I could see Elliot was still running for his life while the agents were still firing the blue lasers at him.

There were more missiles firing. I had to cover my head as debris fell, and there was a loud explosion. I looked back at Elliot, then looked above him, seeing a large statue of the Earth was about to fall on top of Elliot. Despite the dangers, I couldn't let an innocent teen be crushed to death. I used a little bit of my core's powers to enhance my speed as I ran to Elliot.

"Look out!" I shouted just before I managed to tackle Elliot out of the giant statue globe's way before it crushed the ground below.

"Thanks, Andy," Elliot gratefully said between heavy breaths. "But… why are these guys attacking?"

"As much as I hate to say it, it could simply be because you have white hair," I replied. "The ghost boy of this town, Danny Phantom, has white hair. I guess they think that just because you have white hair, you're him."

"That's… that's the most idiotic thing I've ever heard!" Elliot shouted, sounding very angry now. "These are supposed to be trained men with equipment that could easily tell if someone was a ghost or not! Why would they assume some kid who happens to have white hair be Danny Phantom!?"

"I don't know, but why else would they think you're Danny Phantom?" I asked.

Elliot mumbled some choice words under his breath that I chose to ignore. "Well what are we going to do now? If they're attacking me, I need to stay away from everyone. But they'll keep attacking me as long as they think I'm Danny Phantom. So unless Danny Phantom shows up soon, I'm kinda screwed."

The smoke that had been keeping us hidden soon cleared, and the jet was pointing at us again. I looked back, seeing that they didn't even care that some 'innocent teen' was with the 'ghost boy', they were still firing the blue lasers. I quickly pushed Elliot to run.

"For now, just keep running!" I shouted as we both ran to avoid the lasers. "Are there any places you can hide out until Danny Phantom shows up?"

"This is my first time up at this observatory, so I don't know if there are any good hiding places!" Elliot replied as he ran. "And I wouldn't be able to make it to my car because the parking lot is wide open and they'd likely blow me up before I could get it started!"

"Hey! Over here!" I heard Sam's voice shouting.

Elliot and I turned, seeing Sam waving to us from a trap door that I didn't notice before.

"It should be safe down here for a while!" Sam called. "This leads to a network of tunnels that go pretty deep!"

Elliot and I glanced between one another before we gave small nods and started shifting our course towards Sam.

"Get back down in there and get out of the way!" Elliot shouted. "We're likely gonna have to jump in and I don't want to run into you!"

Sam did as she was told, she quickly ducked back down into the trap door. I began to lag behind Elliot, purposefully letting myself fall behind as Elliot focused on making it to the trap door. The Guys in White were after Elliot, not me. When I was sure I wasn't in Elliot's sight anymore, I shifted my course and started running to the right. The Guys in White weren't paying any attention to me, so I just had to run far enough away to transform.

"Andy, where are you going?!" Elliot shouted when he noticed I was running away.

"I have to find my brother as he could've gotten hurt! You go on ahead, they're aiming for you after all, not me!" I shouted back, still running.

"Good luck!" Elliot yelled at me before he dove down into the trap door, which shut seconds after he jumped in.

Okay, he's safe, for now. I don't know where Danny is, or if he'll face them as Danny Phantom, but I need to put a stop to this before more people get hurt. I frowned to myself.

When I felt I was far enough away from the Guys in White, and they were too busy focusing on the trap door Elliot escaped through, I took a quick glance around my surroundings to make sure there was nobody else here. When I was sure I was alone, I activated my core. A ring of light appeared on my torso, splitting itself horizontally, changing me into my ghost form. Although I wasn't technically Danny Phantom, I looked enough like him to catch the Guys in White's interest.

When I finished transforming, I quickly flew at the jet, my legs turning into a ghostly tail to move faster. When I got up close to their windows, I could hear one of the agents.

"We've got the ghost boy on the run, but now we need to figure out how to get him out of the underground tunnels."

I knocked against their window, getting both of their attention. They turned their heads at me, looking confused. "Hey, guys. Who are you guys shooting at? Cause… I don't see any ghosts down there, just innocent kids trying to avoid getting shot or blown up."

"What's the ghost kid doing out there? I thought you said that the kid below was definitely the ghost kid!" The agent in the pilot seat yelled.

"I said it was highly likely that the one boy with white hair that's been in the area and going to Casper High was the ghost we were after!" The agent in the copilot seat shouted back.

"And you decided that instead of facts checking to make absolutely sure he's the ghost boy you were looking for, you'd just go after him with guns blazing?" I growled.

I held up a hand, and the controls in the jets started to spark and move on their own. Well, the controls weren't moving on their own, I was using telekinesis to move them myself. I was going to move this jet somewhere away from civilization so I could deal with them without causing any casualties or collateral damage. The two agents began panicking as they were trying to fight with the controls, they didn't seem to know what was happening. I almost wanted to laugh, they were preparing to fight with Danny Phantom, not Andy Phantom, so they had no records of him using telekinesis. But even if I was Danny Phantom, they weren't protected with any Ghost Shield, I could already think of a few ways Danny himself could take them out. Their jet, while armed with weapons, was very weak defensively. If I wanted, I could crush the plane's wings right now with my telekinesis, but I needed to get the plane away from civilization first.

"Activating the autopilot!" The agent in the pilot seat said loudly before pressing a button.

I frowned when the control columns locked up and the jet started moving on its own, being controlled by the autopiloting computer.

"Let's get out there and take down this menace one and for all," The agent in the copilot seat said as he unstrapped the buckles holding him into the chair and stood up.

I flew back a bit as the two agents used their 'intangibility suits' to phase themselves out of the jet, and were using jetpacks to fly. I could already see a few easy ways to dispose of them, but if I did, then they would either get seriously hurt, or die. I needed to incapacitate them without severely hurting them. As I was dodging their ecto-guns, my mind was going over what kind of powers I could use, and what I could do. Overshadowing was one thing I could do, knock them out from the inside. Covering them in an ecto barrier was another option, though I wasn't sure how strong my ecto barrier would be to their ecto guns. I could try using my stealth invisibility, they wouldn't be able to track me down so easily even with their invisibility radar equipment, and I could pull a sneak attack on them and shut off their jetpacks, get rid of their weapons, and carry them to safety.

While overshadowing was the easiest option, it was the less moral one. I decided to go for the stealth invisibility route instead. I turned back, preparing to use a bit of my telekinesis to disrupt their ecto guns so I could have time to focus on my stealth invisibility, when two ghost rays suddenly grazed both of the agent's arms, which made them drop their ecto guns.

"Hey, guys, I think you dropped something~" Danny chuckled as he flew up in between the agents, holding their guns. "These are nice, I might just keep them."

Normally, I would be ecstatic to see my brother here, he usually helped me out of a lot of jams I would often find myself in if I was fighting alone. However, I wasn't too thrilled that he was here, because now the Guys in White got to see both of us. And I could've handled the situation on my own. The two agents were looking at Danny, then at me, then at Danny again in confusion and shock.

"There's two of them!?" One of the agents shouted.

"I duplicated myself, of course!" I quickly said, hoping to throw the agents off more.

"That scenario is highly unlikely as both you and the other unauthorized paranormal entity have unique symbols on your chests that would not be replicable with even advanced duplication abilities," The other agent observed.

I should've kept my AP covered… I frowned before I looked over at Danny. Well… no point in being sneaky now. Might as well take the bulls by their horns. At least I have Danny to help me out.

"Well no matter! The two of us are trained to deal with unforeseen circumstances," The first agent calmly informed, having regained his composure. "Execute plan Alpha Sierra 17."

"But we've only brought one of those," The other agent pointed out. "Which one do we use it on?"

"The unknown," The first agent answered. "Our primary target is under elimination orders."

The second agent nodded to his partner. "Very well then."

I saw the second agent reaching into his pocket, and taking out some kind of glowing blue cube. I knew it was likely some kind of container device, since Skulker had used something like it before on Danny, and on Juliette when I found her. I wasn't stupid, I wasn't going to just float here and let them toss it at me.

Since the agents appeared to be aiming for me, I quickly flew back and tried to activate my stealth invisibility. Normal invisibility made it so Danny and I weren't visible to the naked eye. But other ghosts, and humans with the right kind of technology, could still see us. Stealth invisibility was the higher tier invisibility; where ghosts, and even technology, would have trouble seeing us. I could still enact my plan to end this peacefully without anyone getting hurt; all Danny needed to do was provide me with the right distraction while I snuck up on the agents to disable their jet packs.

"Oh no you don't!" Danny shouted as he started shooting some ghost rays at the Guys in White, trying to keep them from throwing the cube at me.

Things were looking up, even though I hadn't planned for Danny to pretty much reveal to the two agents that we were two separate beings. That was thankfully only a minor setback that we could deal with in the future. I quickly flew around the agents while they were dealing with my brother. I could shoot out my ghost ray at their jetpacks, but that could cause an explosion that could severely wound, if not kill, the two agents. So I opted for using telekinesis instead. It was slower than just using a ghost ray, but it was safer and could be used to contain any explosion.

Focusing my telekinesis, I began to slowly crush the two jetpacks. However, while I was doing it, the jetpacks began to spark, which alerted the two agents to what I was doing. One of them quickly turned around to face me, and even though he couldn't see me, he had an idea where I was. I had to pull back my telekinesis or I would've ended up crushing his face instead of his jetpack. I didn't have enough control over my telekinesis yet to only aim at my target, I had to be facing the target to use my telekinesis on it. Unfortunately, this was enough to cause the agent holding the cube to throw it in my direction before I could react.

I quickly tried to move when I saw the glowing blue cube coming at me. I was able to react fast enough to fly away from the incoming cube, however, I didn't expect it to suddenly shift its course in midair and fly right in my direction.

"What!?" I shouted in my confusion and surprise before dropping my invisibility altogether so I could focus on flying and getting away from that cube.

I heard Danny shouting something to me, but I couldn't listen to what he was saying because I was trying to outfly that cube. I looked back to see how close it was to me. The cube was fast, which made sense since it was likely designed to catch even fast ghosts. Though apparently, it may not have been made to catch Danny, since I was outspeeding it, and I knew for a fact that Danny was faster than me. Either that or the cube was using old data, the Guys in White weren't likely to know Danny was getting stronger and faster on a daily basis, and thought his powers were at its peak when he first appeared in Amity Park.

I knew if I could just outspeed it a little more, I could probably catch it in my telekinesis, but I needed to be further away from it to be safe. I began to fly faster, higher into the sky so there would be no buildings obstructing my mental hold when I was far enough away from the cube.

"Look out!" Danny shouted suddenly, causing me to look back and see a blue beam of energy. Unfortunately I had only noticed said beam moments before it impacted into my side.

My body suddenly felt like there was electricity coursing through it. I felt my muscles seizing up a little, causing me to falter in my flight. This faltering ended up causing the cube from earlier to slam right into my back. In the blink of an eye, I was trapped inside some kind of transparent cube-like trap made of opaque white energy.

I was still trying to shake off whatever weapon the GiW agents used to hit me with, so I was feeling a little dazed. My senses quickly came back, however, when I saw one of the agents flying over to me. I was still floating in the sky inside the cube. Apparently the cube could float, though I wasn't sure why that fact surprised me since the cube itself flew after me just seconds ago. The other agent was likely dealing with my brother right now.

I looked up from my position, since I had been on my hands and knees when the cube caught me, despite being in mid air, and my head was down. I looked at the agent's eyes, or tried to at least since he was wearing sunglasses, even though it was night.

"Unknown entity successfully captured," The second agent reported to the first before looking at Danny. "Meaning we can now focus our efforts on eliminating the priority target. Do we have permission to use the E-class weapons and gear?"

"Affirmative, we have clearance to use E-class gear," The first agent answered.

At the time I had absolutely no idea what E-class gear was. But looking back it should've been kinda obvious. E-class weapons and gear was what the Guys in White called their experimental tech. Which I soon began to understand as the two agents activated buttons on their wrists which did something I never thought I would see happen with the Guys in White.

I helplessly watched as the white suits of the Guys in White began to change, developing black patches and glowing green streaks of light that hurt for me to look at. The jetpacks on the backs of the agents suddenly fell off them, and I was worried they would start to fall. However, my worry grew as the two agents just seemed to float there, almost as if they were ghosts themselves. Little did I know at the time how right I was in thinking that.

The second agent stretched his neck a little. "Time for you to go down, ghost kid. Once and for all."

Danny glared at them. "Bring it on!"

Danny, not realizing what these agents were now capable of, floated stationary for a few seconds. Though those few seconds were enough time for one of the agents to suddenly close the distance and land a glowing punch to Danny's torso. Danny gave a surprised yelp as he was launched back several feet before he managed to stop himself from moving back any further.

"What that… that actually got me?" Danny said in a questioning tone.

"Danny! They did something to themselves! Or their suits I guess! I don't know how exactly, but they're able to use ghost powers on you now!" I shouted from my cube, hoping I wasn't trapped in some kind of sound proof trap.

"The Guys in White would never use ghost powers!" Danny shouted back at me as he looked around, not seeing where the agents were. "Where did they go?!"

A green blast of energy that seemingly came out from the sky itself, shot at Danny from behind. Danny let out a cry as he fell a few feet away after being blasted. Danny looked back, only to be confused when he didn't see anything.

"Use your ghost sense to find them!" I shouted. "It should work if they're using ghost powers! I think they're invisible!"

Danny let out a tiny bit of a growl, which made me frown as it was a noise I rarely heard from him. Danny then closed his eyes and started to allow himself to drift around randomly so he wouldn't remain an easy target. Danny's eyes snapped back open after a few seconds and he reached out above him while kicking behind him. I heard two impacts and watched as the two agents became visible again. Danny had blocked a chop from one agent from above and had kicked the other agent, who had been sneaking up behind him, in the chest.

"Perhaps we should reevaluate our strategy and use tactics that better accommodate the powers we are aware that we can replicate," The first agent suggested as he flew back while the second agent recovered from getting kicked.

Danny looked towards the first agent and saw something that made his blood run cold. At the time I just saw Danny stare down the first agent, but he later told me about why he had froze. Behind the sunglasses that the agents always wore, Danny spotted a pair of glowing icy blue orbs looking at him.

"What… have you done?" Danny asked in what sounded like horror.

"We've been given the great responsibility of testing new technology that will help us defeat the paranormal menaces permanently," The first agent answered. "Many of our technicians have noted that our current technology will never be what it needs to be in order to take on threats like you. So they devised a new form of technology to allow us to replicate the powers of the paranormal without risk of losing our loyalties or ideals. Yes, there is a risk involved as we are using experimental technology. But…"

The first agent did something uncharacteristic for a Guys in White agent and smirked at Danny. "It's a risk worth taking if we can finally take you down, ghost child."

"You're… crazy." Danny frowned.

I looked at the position I was in. Danny probably could handle them himself, even if they were using ghost powers. The agents weren't used to using ghost powers after all, and from what I could tell, the amount of ghost energy they were using was still weaker compared to Danny's. Still, even if Danny could beat them, there was a risk that they could use me as a hostage, or escape with me. I needed to get out of here before it came to that.

"Most innovators are considered crazy, as their innovations break the standard mold," The first agent answered before looking past Danny. "Have I stalled enough yet?"

"I think so," The second agent answered, causing Danny to turn around.

Something that I couldn't see, due to my position, was that the second agent had been building up a massive ghost ray while the first agent had been talking.

"Any last words that you want to be recorded, child?" The second agent asked as he pointed his hands towards Danny. "I'm sure the research team will want to hear whatever you have to say, especially if it's a plea for mercy."

Danny raised an eyebrow at the agent that was pointing his hands at him. "Sure, I got some last words. Are you faster than me?"

"We have all the capabilities that you have, ghost boy," The first agent informed.

"Then try it," Danny challenged, looking confident himself.

The second agent fired that big ball of ecto energy at Danny. Danny flew up, getting his ghostly tail out of the way as the giant ball of ecto energy flew under him.

"You don't think we accounted for you dodging?" The second agent grinned, a pair of green eyes flashing behind the sunglasses.

Danny blinked and glanced back downwards to see the orb was now moving right at him.

"How?!" Danny demanded.

"I was in a perfect position to alter the trajectory of the orb," The first agent said, though he was now directly above Danny with both hands glowing.

I took my eyes off of the battlefield, knowing I needed to concentrate if I wanted to get out of here and help my brother before he got hurt. I knocked against the walls of the cube I was in. It seemed and felt familiar, it definitely reminded me of the cube trap Skulker would use. It used ectoplasmic energy, which was what was keeping me from just getting out with intangibility. I tested my ghost ray on it to see what would happen. The cube seemed to have absorbed it with no issues. I didn't think trying to disrupt its energy was doable for me since it seemed to be programmed to keep me inside. Someone else would have to disrupt it.

I held out my hand and created an ecto pistol, and tried shooting out a piercing ghost ray at the wall. This only ended up leaving me in a world of pain as the ray hit the wall, bounced off, and went directly into my side. I dropped my ecto pistol and yelped, holding my now bleeding side.

Okay, that was definitely not the solution… Huh… I am bleeding ectoplasm in ghost form… Gah! Concentrate and think, Andy, think. In these situations, how would escape artists get out? Or… no… I shook my head. I have powers like a superhero. How would a superhero or anime protagonist get out of here.

I started looking around the cube. The side walls would be obvious means of trying to escape for a ghost. They're likely designed in a way to absorb attacks or reflect any attacks they can't absorb. But… for all that strength, there has to be some kind of weakness.

I heard Danny yelping out in pain, but I couldn't look at him right now as I couldn't afford to be distracted. I picked up my ecto pistol and used its handle to try to hit against the cube's walls. I tested each hit to see if there were any differences. If there were any different sounds, different feels of the walls, or if the energy would show some kind of sign it was weaker there I'd take a note of it.

It wasn't until I tapped one of the corners of the cube in its very center that I felt it. The energy was a little thinner in the corner there than the rest of the cube. The area of weaknesses in the corner was so small that I figured that the people who designed it didn't think a ghost could be that precise with an attack. Now, while the corner was weaker than the rest of the cube, it was still pretty strong. This meant I would need to be careful about how I exploited the weakness, otherwise I'd end up possibly shooting myself again.

I looked at my pistol and realized that while it could help me, I wasn't exactly willing to trust myself with it after I had just shot myself. Realizing this, I knew I needed to go with something else. I concentrated on the energy of the gun and used my ecto-manipulation to alter the gun into a Plasma Rod, hoping that its narrow end could be used to piece the corner. However, after thinking about it, I shook my head. Trying to beat the corner with the rod wasn't going to help either and I couldn't guarantee I would be precise enough with my strike to hit the very tiny weak point. It was then that I remembered Skulker having trapped me in an ecto net before. I was able to escape that net by using a precision ghost ray to cut myself out. Maybe that's what I need now.

I transformed my Plasma Rod again into a smaller tool. It resembled the Fenton Lipstick, which was actually an ecto laser. This would help me concentrate my ghost ray into a small, cutting beam onto the corner. I worked on reshaping the head of the tool until it was as small and precise as it could be. I then extended the length of it so the tip of the tool was barely above the weak point. This was not only to reduce the chance that the precise ray wouldn't hit the target, but also allowed me to use a lot less energy to create the ghost ray. I figured that with the Guys in White somewhat being like ghosts now, I didn't want to possibly alert them by using a ton of ghostly energy to escape from the cube.

Seeing that I had everything in place that I could prepare for, I took a deep breath and let it out before creating the tiny yet precise and powerful ghost ray.

I heard another shout from Danny. I better hurry...

Guest: DarkFoxKit: There might be a way for Andy to fully get over that, but it'll be tough. Andy definitely has abandonment issues after the events of My Brother's a Ghost, he sometimes wonders if he would ever truly be good enough, even though he doesn't have to be.

naminexriku2468: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': No, we can't, as again, spoilers.

Kairixsora13579: Andy: *Blinks a bit at the question* I'm not entirely sure how I would react. I'd probably be overwhelmed and shocked, wonder where the fudge they came from and how they exist, and then try to figure out what was going on. That's a pretty strange question, is that for some kind of 'what if' story?

DarkFoxKit: *Innocently whistles*

DP-Marvel94: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': As it should be. Breaking a taboo would be like committing a federal offense in the USA, it's a really serious crime. Let's hope the boys can help their parents. There is a chance that if the boys play their cards right, there could be some kind of agreement. Not necessarily a peace agreement, but definitely something that takes some pressure off of them.

Heh, Fox and I have some plans in regards to Danny being smarter and more confident. There is something behind it, and we will explain it at the right time. I won't confirm nor deny that it's the mist.

The boys talking about the Reality Gauntlet thing… I don't think Andy would want to bring it up, especially as he is under the assumption that it's only him and Juliette who remember anything about it. Unless something brings it up, that conversation likely won't happen for some time.

And finally, as for the text… it's possible that Danny and Sam will get together. Guess you'll just have to wait and see~

Mana16: DarkFoxKit: It's difficult to not worry about one's future, and gaining the ability to see these futures can easily lead to obsession. Andy is trying not to use it too often, because the Andy from that other world warned him about it. But that doesn't mean Andy wouldn't try to prevent any horrible futures if he could help it. Since he's aware of what could happen to their parents if they don't do something to change their mindset soon, it could lead to their parents' death or worse.

I didn't plan on how Danny would handle the GIW agents. That was all Onyx. But seeing how Danny handled them, Andy was worried that could be a sign of Corrupted Danny coming back out, since he now knows that mist still exists inside Danny.

Jack and Maddie haven't invented that yet, but they eventually will if they continue down this mindset. They're hoping that by making a ghost relive their deaths, it would demoralize them, and make them easy to capture. They're not thinking about the consequences, nor do they think the ghosts have actual feelings and a culture, as well as their own law system.

Andy and Danny laying some ground rules with the ghosts who aren't actually there to hurt them would likely be done off screen. That's not something we're interested in showing. And we are starting to get some complaints about how some arcs are getting dragged out.

My guess as to why Frostbite is in possession of the Infimap is due to being located in a far off land that not many would come to. Frostbite himself is pretty strong, and kind, so the Ancients likely entrusted him and his people to watch over the Infimap. Though other than that, I don't know, most of it is just speculation. The show itself never really explained why Frostbite had the Infimap in the first place. As for Jack and Maddie meeting Frostbite, that will have to be later, like after they've accepted ghosts aren't all evil, and they're just as sentient as humans are.

GhostHex: DarkFoxKit: I think when Danny was threatening Vlad that he would expose them both, he was acting more out of desperation. Not many people mention it because, for one, it was out of desperation, that was pretty obvious. Two, that was also early on in Danny's life as Danny Phantom, his parents weren't aware of his ghost half's existence yet, nor had they been insulting or hunting him down constantly. This meant it was far easier for him to tell them then than it was to tell them now that he was public enemy #1, and they're convinced he's the most evil ghost ever.

Well, it is possible the boys may need to tell their parents in order to stop them from crossing the line with the other ghosts, but sometimes life has stranger ways to handle things. I'm sure you'll see what I mean soon enough.

KMilesXD: Darkzdragon 'Onyx': Well then, hello there. Welcome to the reviews of We Are Phantoms!

Fox tried to make it so Andy was his own character instead of just being Danny's twin/carbon copy. She worked really hard over the years she wrote My Brother's a Ghost and We Are Phantoms to make Andy unique and have his own stories going on.

In regards to extending a villain arc longer than necessary, there's more to it than just giving them screen time. We want the world to feel organic and actually alive instead of needing to follow the small window of time the show was given for each episode. We also like to tie in lore and character growth into a villain's arc or an episode's arc.

We do like to hear feedback and suggestions from the readers, even if we don't plan on using it ourselves directly, because sometimes the feedback and suggestions can actually inspire ideas in us. So while we likely won't cut down on villain arcs when we feel like it makes sense to give them that time, we still want to hear your feedback.
