Okay. I'm said that I would do a KaixTala and I did. However it's only 510 words. I swear I will write one that's longer, but I felt like writing this. Don't shoot me for the shortness. Just enjoy the adorable fluff!
Tala pushed his way through the thick crowds as he struggled to get to his lover. Kai had been taken hostage or that's what the news had said. There was a robbery at the bank where Kai was supposed to be making a withdrawal for their upcoming vacation, a vacation that they both needed, unlike the current circumstances. Finally Tala made it to the front of the crowd and stared at the large bank. He was worried, tense and panicked. His ice blue eyes searched the area spotting snipers on several rooftops almost instantly. Tala's hand snapped out and caught hold of an officer's sleeve. "What's going on? My lover's in there. Is he alright?"
The officer tried to pull his arm out of Tala's iron grip only to fail miserably. "All of the hostages are reportedly fine, sir. Now let go so that I can do my job." Tala's grip tightened briefly in anger before letting go. He stood around for hours before the hostages were let go. He watched in relief as Kai walked out seemingly without any physical harm having been done. Tala let out a sigh of relief when Kai spotted him and changed courses.
Kai smiled softly at the redhead as he slipped under the police barriers. "Hey lover. You okay?"
"Am I okay? Kai! You were the one being held hostage! I was so worried about…" Tala was cut off when Kai kissed him forcefully.
When he pulled back he smiled at the confused wolf. "I had to shut you up some how. The way you were starting you wouldn't have shut up for an hour. I'm fine. He was a complete moron and more dangerous towards himself than anyone else. Now if you'd be so kind as to do me a favor." Tala nodded mutely as he watched Kai with worry still written in his eyes. "That police officer standing beside us clearly wants to ask me a few questions. While I'm answering him will you get me something with caffeine in it? I really need the energy boost."
"Will you be in this exact spot when I get back?" Tala demanded. Kai smiled softly before leaning over and placing another kiss on Tala's lips. He nodded and Tala left hesitantly. Kai turned his attention to the officer who began asking questions about what had happened during the hold up.
Kai had just finished answering the officer's questions when Tala came back with a cup of coffee for him. The phoenix smiled gratefully for the caffeinated beverage and took a sip. "I'm fine Tala. If you don't believe me let's go home and you can check for yourself, but you know that I've lived through worse."
"I worry about you. You should be bothered by a lot of what you've had to live through."
Kai smiled and kissed his wolf. "Let's go home Tala. I suddenly feel like spending the remainder of the day in bed with you." Tala blushed a shade similar to that of his hair, but did manage to nod.

Now, I'm going to go to sleep because it's 10:30 and I have to be up at 5:25 tomorrow morning for work. -- It's annoying, but please review!
