Anastasia Hoshin was deep in thought as she waited for the next viewing to occur. At that moment, her emotions and ideals were in conflict with one another. On one hand, she felt elated that she could witness the cutting-edge technology of Natsuki-kun's world. The fact that the people of his world were able to travel to other planets was just mind-boggling to her merchant mind.

However, new emotions have begun to stir within Anastasia. Emotions that she never would have thought she would feel when discussing technology and innovations. She felt fear and wariness. The images that Bill Nye showed her: burning forests, dark skies, dead animals. All these images kept flashing within Anastasia's mind.

Would that be the end result if I managed to somehow incorporate Natsuki-kun's technology and knowledge in Lugunica? Is that the price we have to pay for technological progress?

Surely that cannot be the complete picture, can it?

Would my greed and hubris cause such irreparable damage to our world? These were a few of the many thoughts that ran through Anastasia's mind as she reflected on her goals and ambitions. She rubbed the scarf around her neck as a habit to ease her fears; however, it was doing little to comfort her in this instance.

"Anastasia-sama…" the elegant voice of the Greatest Knight said to his sworn candidate.

Anastasia shook her head to get out of her own thoughts as she looked at her knight. She saw the worried expression on the face of Julius, Ricardo, and the twins.

"You alright Ana-bo?" Ricardo asked.

"Yeah! You looked sad ever since the last time we saw Big Boss Bro!" Mimi commented

"I…W-Well… um…" Anastasia uncharastically stuttered out.

This wasn't how she wanted to be seen. She thought that her path as a merchant, and as a future ruler was the correct one. She didn't want to second guess herself now after going so far. She didn't want to let down those who were counting on her.

"I am fine everyone. I appreciate your concern, but seriously, there's no need t' worry about a tough gal like me!" she said with an exaggerated smile.

Ricardo saw the smile and didn't buy it for a second.

"Ana-bo…" He started.

"It's about what we saw about the kid's world right? What the inventions did to it."

Anastasia's faked smile twitched a bit. Leave it to the person who knew me the longest to guess what I was thinking about. She thought to herself.

"*sigh* Fine. Ya got me. I admit what I saw affected me more than I thought it would have. But still, I can't let some viewing rattle me. I still plan on runnin' this kingdom, so I'm going to get over this little hiccup eventually." She said while putting on a brave front.

Julius stared worryingly at his sworn candidate. She was one of the strongest, most head-strong people he's ever met. Therefore, the sight of Anastasia being so shaken up caused great anxiety to dwell within the Greatest Knight.

"Anastasia-sama, if I may…" Julius began

"While your straightforward attitude never ceases to inspire me, as your sworn knight, I feel that I must remind you that you do not have to face such an endeavor alone."

"Yeah! Julius is right! Mimi, Tiviy, and Hetaro will help ya!" Mimi added excitedly while happily flailing her arms.

"What we're tryin' to say Ana-bo, is that you don't have to bury your feelings for our sake. We can share your burdens with ya. I mean, we are all part of the Anastasia camp ain't we!" Ricardo said with a toothy smile.

Anastasia could only stare at the members of her camp with shock, and… so much gratitude. As a merchant, she didn't want to rely on things such as "luck" so much. She much preferred to rely on her own skill and expertise. But as she looked at the people who would willingly bear her burdens for her, who chose to support her, she couldn't help but feel like the luckiest gal in the kingdom.

She quickly turned towards the screen to mask her tears of gratitude. "Hehe… well you guys know a gal' like me doesn't need much convin' when it comes to makin' profits so, I'll keep relyin' on ya!" Anastiasia said with a genuine smile as she watched the screen.

Thanks, you guys. She thought to herself.

Julius and Ricardo also wore a smile as they turned their attention back to the screen. Mimi happily swung her legs at Anastasia's response. Tivey also smiled as he adjusted his monocle. As Tivey turned his attention back to the screen, he was reminded of why they were all here in the first place.

"Hmm… then I guess this adds more reason as to why Big boss bro should join our camp right? I mean, he will have the best idea on which machines would negatively affect our world right?" Tivey suggested with a hand on his chin.

For a moment the Anastasia camp was still as their gaze fell on the black-haired boy toward the front of the theater. The boy who suffered so much, so that others may live. Both in their world, and as everyone just saw, in his world as well.

Then Anastasia burst out laughing.

"You are completely right Tivey-kun! I knew I hired ya for more than just your cuteness!" She said ruffling the demi-human's hair.

"A-Ah! Anastasia-sama!" Tivey cried out with embarrassment. Ricardo burst out laughing at the boy's reaction, as did Mimi. Julius only had a small smile as he observed the interaction.

That's right. The burning landscapes and destroyed environments are horrible, but it isn't the complete picture. There's something else that our Warden is not showing us. There has to be. Anatasia deduced as she continued to stare at the top of Natuski's head.

With our combined knowledge, Natuski and I can make the kingdom a better place. Better for everyone. She thought as she smiled to herself.

At long last, the screen turned on.

After having showered to remove any excess blood and dirt on his body, an exhausted Subaru slowly sits down in front of the crew desktop. He covered himself in a warm blanket and was keeping his movements slow to prevent his wound from opening up once again.

He entered his username' and password' into the computer and opened the camera to begin recording himself.

"What is this?" Reinhard questioned looking at the contraption in front of him.

The rest of the cast also gave curious looks at what they had just witnessed.

"It seems like another metia. One that is activated by performing some kind of...ritual?" A purple-haired knight suggested when he noticed Subaru put in his 'username' and 'password'.

"It's called a computer, I suppose." the voice of a drill-haired spirit voice out.

"A compewwter?" Mimi tried to repeat.

Beatrice gave a small smile as she remembered how enthusiastic her contractor was when he explained this particular piece of technology to her.

"According to Betty's contractor, it's one of the greatest pieces of technology in his world, in fact…" the Great Spirit continued

"One of… the greatest?" Anastasia repeated in awe. The rest of the cast was also fascinated by Beatrice's claim. They were fully aware of how technologically advanced Subaru's world was compared to their own. Therefore, learning about one of the greatest pieces of technology from their world is certainly something of great importance to them.

"What is this device, Beatrice-sama?" Petra asked with a small edge of excitement in her voice, her mind eager to latch on to anything other than Subaru's current predicament

"A computer is a machine that gives its user access to millions of outlets of information at just the touch of a button, I suppose. You can store information that not even the largest libraries can hold without overflowing. It's capable of connecting people from all over the world, and exchange different pieces of information with each other. It's one of the greatest sources of information that Betty has ever heard of, in fact."

Everyone could only listen in awe at what the computer is able to accomplish. To have access to so much information with just a touch of a button is something that no one in Luganica could ever dream up.

"That's…" Otto started to say

"Absolutely incredible." Crush said with widened eyes.

"Dang. No wonder the people in Big Bro's world are so smart." Felt pondered.

A certain purple-haired candidate was especially astounded at the information. Anastasia valued information and resources over most things in her life. Therefore, learning about a machine that could give so much information instantaneously was something that she was as completely invaluable.

'But…' she began to think

'What did it cost to make? Something as remarkable as that most have come with some consequences.'. From what the Great Spirit said, it appears to be that this remarkable device is owned by a relatively large amount of the population. With so many people having this much power at their fingertips, surely there will be some people who will use it maliciously. Anastasia deduced.

"Wait! If it connects people to one another, then that must mean Subaru can use this 'computer' to call for help right?" Emilia asked excitedly, hoping Subaru found a way to get back to his home where he would be safe.

Several other members in the theater also perked up at the silver-haired candidate's suggestion.

"Dat's right! Then dey' can send someone to git Cap'n back home!" Garfiel said, pumping his fist in the air.

"It won't work." a voice cut in before more celebrations could ring out.

Everyone turned to the source of the voice. A one-armed, helmeted knight.

"B-But why?" a heartbroken Rem asked

"Speak Aldebaran. However, do remember you shall be punished for speaking without permission from mineself." An annoyed Priscilla said through her fan.

Al just sighed but nodded all the same. "Now I wasn't the most knowledgeable person about this kinda stuff from my world, but even I know that these computers do have a limit in terms of their ability to connect people with one another."

"But Beatrice-sama just said that computer can connect people from-" Otto tried to reason

"-'from all over the world' right?" Al cut in, completing Otto's statement for him.

Otto and several others gave small nods, remembering what Beatrice had just explained just a few moments ago.

"So that's what it is…" Priscilla said quietly to herself, understanding where her foolish knight was getting at

"Well… our pal isn't exactly in 'their' world now is he? He's on a completely different planet." Al finished explaining.

And just like that, everyone's hopes were immediately snuffed out. The single solution everyone thought Subaru could use to get out of this impossible situation was proven wrong.

"I-It's like... Everything is against him." Emilia said through gritted teeth and moist eyes.

"Dis… DIS AIN'T FAIR!" Garfiel shouted as he slammed his fists into this armchair.

Al could only give a sad sigh and leaned back into his chair.

"It's likely the first thing Subaru-dono would've done if he were able to contact his superiors." Wilhelm said with a heavy voice.

"That must mean that Subaru-sama truly is… on his own." Crusch said through gritted teeth. An unending feeling of pity and despair was coming from the green-haired candidate as she further examined the situation of the boy she had grown to care for.

Emilia could only tighten her grip on her sleeping knight as the tears that have been building up in her eyes finally spilled over. 'No… I won't let him be on his own… Not again.' She thought as she once again reflected on the various times she abandoned her own Subaru in their own world.

"Okay…" Subaru started, taking in a deep breath to calm himself down

"Hello. This is Subaru Natsuki, astronaut. I'm entering this log for the record in case I don't make it."

Everyone could only grimace at what the black-haired boy was saying.

"H-He's recording his final days… for someone to find." Otto said sadly.

"Dear spirits…" Frederica whispered sadly as she pitied the astronaut's situation.

Emilia could only turn away from the screen and focus her attention on the Subaru that was currently with her to keep herself from breaking any further. Seeing her precious knight in such a state, and saying such heartbreaking things was too much for the half-elf.

"Subaru-kun…" Rem whispered as she gripped her skirt in grief.

"It is 06:53 on Sol 19, and… I'm alive. Obviously. But I'm guessing that's going to come as a surprise to my crewmates and to NASA, and to the entire world really, so… Surprise!" He weakly said as he gave a small smile.

A few members were also giving small smiles at the boy's words as well.

"Even in a situation like this, he doesn't change." Otto said in admiration at this friend's ability to smile and joke in such a hopeless situation.

"It's cus Cap'n's a man and hero. Ya gunna need somethin' a lot tuffer than dis' to try and break him." Garfiel said with a smile.

Crusch and all those involved in the White Whale's subjection felt comfort at the black-haired boy's attitude on the screen as it reminded them of his fearless attitude during the fight with the giant mabeast.

"I did not die on Sol 18. Best I can figure, this length of our primary communications antenna broke off and tore through my bio-monitor, and ripped a hole in me as well."

"But the antenna and the blood really managed to seal the breach in my suit, which kept me alive. Even though the crew must've thought I was dead."

"I have no way to contact NASA. And even if I could, it's gonna be 4 years until a manned mission can reach me. And I'm in a HAB designed to last 31 days."

Emilia gasped as she covered her mouth with both of her hands when she heard the dire situation her knight was in.

"No… it can't be… Subaru…" she whimpered.

"T-That's basically nothing to work with, nyan." Felix said through gritted teeth.

"He must survive for 4 more years in a habitat that's made to stand for a single month? Is that even possible?" Crush said, both her hands gripping hard on both her armrests. As a military leader, being faced with overwhelming odds is something that she has grown to expect. The fight against the White Whale was a similar event where she and her troops had to overcome great adversity.

But in Subaru's current situation, as much as she wants to see Emilia's knight succeed, she can't help but question if he is facing a problem that is impossible to overcome.

'So what will you do now Subaru?' Roswaal questioned himself. Try as he might, but he can't figure out a way for the boy to live. The odds were just stacked too high against him.

'But then again… they were stacked against you back then too weren't they?' the clown thought as he remembered his competition with the boy during the Sanctuary event.

"If the oxygenator breaks, I'm gonna suffocate. If the water reclaimer breaks, I'll die of thirst. If the HAB breaches, I'm just gonna, kind of...implode. And if by some miracle none of that happens, eventually I'm going to run out of food." Subaru explained. He knew his situation was bad. But now that he's saying all of this outloud, he now realizes the full-extent of how screwed he really was.

"There are so many things that could go wrong." a deeply worried Ricardo said

"Even if all his machines work as intended, he will eventually starve to death." Julius said through gritted teeth.

"This situation… it isn't fair." A distraught Anastasia said. She felt as though anything is possible given the proper resources. However, try as she might, she can't see a way around this particular situation. There are too many problems that could arise, too many variables to take into account. This was… downright impossible to the purple candidate.

"I-I-Is there really nothing Subaru can do Frederica-nee sama?" Petra asked her senior with tear-filled eyes.

Frederica could only look down sadly at her understudy. She didn't want to lie to the poor girl and give her false hope, but she also couldn't stand to see the poor girl so sad.

"Well… While I can't think of a solution, we have seen several times how resourceful Subaru-sama is. So maybe… maybe he can think of something that shall aid him." Frederica said as she gave the younger maid a smile to try and comfort her.

This seemed to do the trick as she felt Petra physically relax ever so slightly and a small smile grew upon her face.

"Yeah. Subaru-sama is reliable. So he'll think of something."

"So... yeah." Subaru said as he looked back at the camera. His eyes were lost and glazed over.

"Yeah."

All Subaru could do was just lean back in his chair and give one more tired sigh.

Outside of the HAB, another violent sandstorm was ravaging the land.

Everyone's breath hitched when they saw the familiar storm on the screen.

The type of storm that caused Emilia's knight to be put in a horrible situation in the first place.

"This planet truly is disgusting, nyan." A frustrated Felix said, glaring at the storm in front of him.

The force of its winds was barring down on the HAB, causing the inside of the structure to shake and creak under the pressure. Subaru covered himself with an emergency blanket and gingerly ate a small snack as he watched a computer monitor. On the monitor it showed a simulation of the HAB and how much damage it's taking due to the violent sandstorm.

Subaru kept a careful eye on the monitor and on the walls around him. He would occasionally glance at the ceiling to see if it would break off due to the force of winds. If it did, there's almost nothing he could do. All Subaru could do was watch and pray that the HAB can handle the force of the sandstorm.

The rest of the cast could only watch and pray as well as they listened to the violent storm that beat down on the only form of shelter Subaru has.

Emilia grasped her hands tightly together and began to pray to the spirits to protect Subaru and his home.

"It's like he could die at any second." A fearful Mimi whispered as held a tight grip on Ricardo's arm. Both he and his sister were extremely frightened by the various noises the storm was causing in Subaru's habitat.

"There's no way to relax under this type of pressure." Al said, his leg bouncing up and down as he also kept a close eye on the monitor that Subaru was watching.

To try to take his mind off the possibility of his death, Subaru began to walk around the HAB. He visited his teammates' living quarters and observed the various pictures and trinkets they left behind. He eventually found his way to Commander Lewis' workstation. When he approached the workstation, he opened her laptop. What he saw when he opened the laptop forced a small smile onto his face. It was a picture of the entire Ares III crew before they left for Mars. They were all crowded around each other to get into frame, and they all wore excited smiles.

The cast also smiled when they saw how happy Subaru was with his friends. It's these kinds of moments they want to see their current Subaru enjoy.

"They all look like family, nyan." Felix said as he watched the smiling faces of the Ares III crew.

"Indeed. It's not uncommon for team members to develop an almost family-like bond with one another during a mission." Wilhelm stated.

"I'm glad Subaru found a good group of people." Emilia said. Her eyes were glued to the smiling face of her knight in the photo.

Has he ever smiled like that when he was with me? Emilia thought to herself. Subaru's deaths flashed in her mind, and her heart once again filled with tremendous guilt

"Oh no…" Otto said with a horror-filled voice.

Everyone turned to the green merchant with concerned gazes.

"Wats wrong Brotto?" A concerned Garfiel asked as he put his arm over his friend.

"I-I just… wondered how Natuski-san's teammates would react when they eventually realize that he's still alive and how they…" Otto stuttered out, unable to complete his thought.

At this, everyone's face matched the horror that was on Otto's. They all looked at the smiling faces of the Ares III, and how close they all seem to be. How would they react when they realized that they…

"… left him behind." Crusch said as she gripped her armrest. Her face began to grow pale as she thought about how it would feel if she realized that she left one of her soldiers for dead.

"They would be beyond devastated. To them, our pal was like family. And to leave behind family is like-" Ricardo started

"-is like leaving a part of you behind." Rem said as tears fell from her eyes. She didn't want to, no, she couldn't imagine what it would be like if she left Sissy or Subaru behind in a desolate place like this one. Just the thought of it breaks her heart.

Subaru then closed the laptop and began to clean up the surrounding area. He put away all of his teammates' belongings as neatly as he could, and put them in their respective bins.

When he finished he gave one last look around the HAB. He reflected on everything in his life that brought him to this point. He thought of his parents helping him out of his depression. When he first decided to become an astronaut. The countless hours he spent studying and training to be the best astronaut he can be. He then thought of his crewmates, the people he considers his second family. The teamphoto that Subaru saw on Lewis' laptop once again flashed in his mind.

When he finished reflecting on all of this, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. After calming his nerves, he quickly opened his sharp eyes. The lost and broken look they once held in the beginning were gone. Instead, they were replaced with a burning fire and determination to accomplish something. In order to see his family and friends again, he decided…

Crusch and Rem could only smile at the familiar look in Subaru's eye. It's the same look he had when came up with the plans to combat the White Whale.

It was the look of a man who decided...

"I'm not gonna die here."

"Hell yeah! Dats mah Cap'n!" An excited Garfiel said, pointing at the screen enthusiastically

Wilhelm gave an approving nod to the man he was watching on screen. "Your tenacity never ceases to amaze me Subaru-dono. I have faith in your abilities." He said with a smile

Emilia also couldn't help but smile and feel comforted at her knight's brave attitude. "You always look so cool when you're like this." She said as she snuggled closer to the sleeping knight.

Priscilla only raised an eyebrow at the astronaut's declaration. Hmph. It seems the mongrel finally got his pitiful self together. However, whether this is worth my divine attention or just another pitiful attempt remains to be seen. You better not disappoint me.

SOL 21

Still walking stiffly to prevent his wound from reopening, Subaru gingerly walked into the HAB dining area. Like the rest of the HAB, it was made up of steel and had wires and various machinery all around it. At the center of the dining table, stood a small silver table where the team would share their meals.

On a camera, Subaru was shown standing in front of a coffee machine as he patiently waited for his caffeinated beverage.

As he waited for the machine to finish, Subaru began to lean on the dining table, his face shown to be deep in thought. He looked around for a moment before he quickly made his way to the various cabinets in the room and began to open them. When he had opened all of the cabinets, he took a step back and slowly observed them.

"32, 33, 34…" Subaru said as he counted out loud in between bites of food.

"Hmmm… it appears Subaru is taking inventory of his supplies." Reinhard mused with a hand on his chin.

"Smart. It could at least give him an accurate estimate on how much he will be able to sustain himself." Julius added

"35, 36. Sweet and Sour chicken." He concluded as he made a note on a notebook.

When he finished taking inventory of all his current food, he neatly put all of the food packages in their respective cabinets.

A little while later, Subaru was pulling up his pants after he finished relieving his bowels.

"Oh my!" Frederica shouted out as she quickly covered Petra's eyes.

"WOAH! Didn't expect to see this!" Al laughed out load.

"Tch! It's an unforgivable crime that mine eyes should be subjected to such a disgusting sight!" Priscilla shouted angrily behind her fan. Her eyes looking away from the disgusting commoner relieving himself

"My amazin' self didn't want to learn dis much bout' Cap'n." Garfiel said, looking down as he was slightly weirded out.

"Damn Barusu. Forcing us to watch you and your perverted ways." Ram said, disgusted that she is being forced to watch such a despicable sight.

"Subaruuu! This is a private moment for yourself! You mustn't show things like this!" A red-faced Emilia said looking away from the screen.

"Haha! Big Boss Bro is taking a poopy!" Mimi laughed pointing at the screen.

He pressed a small button on the console next to the toilet and a machine began to excavate his waste.

As the machine was doing its job, Subaru paid close attention to the sounds that the machine was making. He listened to the whorls, creaks, and sounds that came out of the machine. Finally, he heard a loud *POP* as the machine finished its task. At this, Subaru's eyes widened as an idea entered his head.

"What outrageous idea could he have possibly thought of from his feces!" Julius said, still slightly disturbed at the previous scene.

"Hmm…" Anastasia pondered. While she also couldn't determine what Emilia's knight was thinking at that moment, the various sounds the machine made just to excavate feces definitely caught her attention.

Subaru ran back to the dining room and went to retrieve a very specific box from the HAB's food selection. He looked at the front of the box and read what it said.

"DO NOT OPEN UNTIL THANKSGIVING!" it read.

"Thanksgiving?" Emilia questioned out loud.

"It's a holiday." Al answered. A brief moment of nostalgia fell upon the one-armed knight as seeing the word caused him to remember the various celebrations he had when he was back on Earth.

Everyone else was deeply intrigued in learning about one of the many traditions of Subaru's homeworld.

Of course, Subaru opened it.

"Hmph! Typical behavior of Barusu to ignore instructions." Ram scoffed.

When he looked what was inside, his eyes lit with delight as he grabbed the box's contents.

What he pulled out was a vacuum-sealed bag of one of the most versatile foods. Inside the bag were over a dozen potatoes.

"Potatoes?" Rem questioned, looking at the vegetables.

"Hey! That means Subaru can plant the potatoes right?!" An excited Petra said

"But how? Remember he's on an inhospitable planet with no life, nyan." Felix said, immediately shutting down the suggestion.

"That may be the case Felis, however, Subaru must've known that as well. Yet he still chose them." Crusch pondered, trying to decipher Subaru's intentions.

"Then Big bro must have a plan up his sleeve then!" Felt concluded, excited for what the astronaut came up with.

Subaru was then shown logging back into the computer he turned on when he was stranded on Mars. After he entered his information, the computer's camera buzzed as it was turned on.

"Right, let's do the math…" Subaru started to explain to the camera

"Our service mission here was supposed to last 31 Sols. For redundancy, they sent 68 Sols worth of food. That's for 6 people. So for just me, that's going to last 300 Sols, which I figure I can stretch to 400 if I ration…" Subaru said as he took a bite of food

"Damn! He's pretty good at this!" An impressed Ricardo said as he listened to Subaru's analysis.

"Not bad." Anastasia said as listened to the way Emilia's knight was reporting the information.

Crusch smiled fondly at the man in front of her. His ability to analyze situations and break them down into digestible bites always impressed her.

"Since his crewmates won't be eating their share of the food, Subaru has enough to sustain himself for a little over a year." Crusch deduced from Subaru's report.

"Buuuut that's still not neeeearly enough." Roswaal replied

"So I gotta figure out a way to grow 3 years worth of food here. On a planet where nothing grows." He said with a shrug.

"Luckily… I'm a botanist." Subaru said confidently as he showed the camera his file and title.

"Da hell is a batnist?" Felt questioned

It's a person who studies plants.

"Hmm… never really took Natsuki-san as a gardener." Otto pondered

"Dah! It's fine! Bet Cap'n's plants are da best one 'round!" A confident Garfiel said

He then gave a smirk to the viewers watching him and put his face right up to the camera so that they could clearly hear his next sentence.

"Mars will come to fear MY BOTANY POWERS."

Emilia and Rem giggled at Subaru's antics.

"Tch! Just when you were starting to look respectable you ruin it with your childish behavior Barusu." Ram repramended.

"B-But Sissy, that's what makes Subaru-kun so cute!" Rem said as she tried to defend her beloved.

Ram only responded by turning away from the childish man on the screen with a profound 'Hmph!'

"It's good to see that Subaru-dono's attitude remains strong despite his circumstances." Wilhelm said with an amused smile on his face

"YEAH! Big Bro is gonna kick some ass with his 'batney' powers!" Felt cheered with her fist in the air.

Subaru was then shown walking outside in the Martian soil wearing his full spacesuit. He was making his way towards a particular section of the HAB that had a large container labeled 'ORGANIC WASTE'.

"What is-?" Mimi started to ask

"It's poop." Al cut in.

Many once again recoiled in disgust. "What is with him and poop today?" Tivey asked, pinching his nose.

"Barusu's disgusting behavior truly has no limits." Ram said with her arms crossed. However, her eyes narrowed as a particular idea entered her head. An idea that is similar to how she and Rem used to care for the garden back at the mansion. "Is he..." Ram whispered.

Rem noticed her twin's thinking expression. "Sissy?" She questioned.

Ram just shook her head quickly. "It's nothing Rem. Just reminding myself of the various times Barusu has exposed his disgusting behavior, similar to what we are seeing right now." She added quickly.

Subaru opened the container and found several silver-colored bags. The bags were labeled with a crew member's name and appeared to have… something inside of it.

Subaru looked at the bag that had his name on it and gave an exasperated sigh and at the sight of it.

He then collected all of the bags and loaded them into a separate container which he will transport back into the HAB.

"Why is he *ahem* collecting the fecal matter?" a slightly disturbed Reinhard questioned.

"Your guess is as good as mine." Julius said with his nose scrunched up.

Priscilla just shook her head and looked away with disgust. Anything that deals with such disgusting substances has no business entering her divine memories.

Ram once again narrowed her eyes. Her previous theory grew in the back of her mind.

Rem's thoughts on Subaru's actions also began to evolve as she began to recall her duties as a maid, especially the ones that involve tending to the mansion garden.

Subaru then began to slowly tidy up the area around the HAB that had been pushed around due to the storms. He lifted the solar panels that have been knocked down and began to clean the Martian soil that covered them with a water-like solution.

"Woah! Look at those things." Ricardo exclaimed, referring to the solar panels.

"It looks like some kind of… decoration maybe?" Emilia questioned hesitantly

"While they may look advanced, they don't seem that visually appealing, nyan." Felix responded by looking at the design of the panels.

Everyone else also looked at the machine with calculating gazes, trying to decipher what it was. Their eyes slowly drifted towards Priscilla's one-armed knight for answers.

Al himself finally snapped out of his stupor when he noticed everyone was quiet and were now staring at him.

"Oh crap- Uh- *ahem*. Those are called solar panels. They produce energy from the sun." Al answered.

"WHAT?!" were the majority of the reactions.

"You mean to tell me that they are able to use the sun as a resource?" Julius asked, amazed.

"That's practically an infinite power source." Tivey said

"Every time I think I'm getting used to Subaru-sama's technology, there's always something else that comes and surprises me." Crusch commented.

Anastasia couldn't even form words of surprise. An invention that used the power of the sun to produce its own energy. It was completely revolutionary. And since it relied on the sun, a nearly inexhaustible power source, her previous concerns over Natuski's inventions damaging the environment were smoothed out.

Her old merchant instincts were returning at the thought of an invention that could benefit society, without damaging the ecosystem in which they live in. She rubbed her scarf as the sound of gold coins once again rang in her ear.

Back inside the HAB, Subaru was loading all of the various soil samples that have been taken into a separate container for storage. He then began to clear out all of the furniture, boxes, and other large objects in a particular area of the HAB. He transported all the parts he gathered outside of the HAB and into the Martian atmosphere.

As he was moving all of the heavy objects out the HAB, Subaru then let out a slight yelp of pain in the middle of his work. Subaru was then shown back inside the HAB, in front of camera, holding his bleeding side wound. Subaru waved his bloodied hand at the camera with pained expression.

"Staple came out." He reported with a self-deprecating smile.

Emilia and Beatrice briefly tightened their grip at the sight of the blood on Subaru's hand. They hated seeing hurt, bleeding especially. He would always downplay his injuries to prevent them from worrying, but it would only make them worry.

It was a habit they would both help Subaru break.

SOL 24

The room that Subaru worked so hard to clear out was now being covered with clear plastic sheets found in the HAB's storage. Subaru himself was standing on a ladder as he began to attach more plastic sheets to the walls of the room with duct tape. When he finished he did a quick 360 degree spin as he examined the room he worked on.

"Hmm… he cleared out the room. It seems as though he is preparing to put something big inside of it." Julius pondered with a hand on his chin.

Back outside in the Martian atmosphere, Subaru was shoveling large bits of soil into a separate container. He was sweating heavily in his spacesuit.

"My hero is always working so hard." Rem said softly.

"Looks like really back-breaking work Natuski-san is doing here." Otto commented.

"But we still don't understand what Big Bro is doing." a slightly frustrated Felt said as she pouted with her arms crossed.

Ram slightly hummed in thought. 'Even if you are doing what I think you're doing, there's still a lot of other things that must be taken care off for it to be successful. But surely, you've thought of this by now…" Ram thought as she once again revisited her theory on the task that Subaru was accomplishing.

Briefly taking a small break from shoveling, he leaned heavily on his shovel as he tried to catch his breath. His gaze then turned to the remnants of the launching pad of the MAV his crewmates had used to escape Mars on the day of the storm. He looked at the launching pad with a pained expression before quickly turning away and got back to work.

After filling the container, Subaru began to transport all of the soil that he had collected back inside of the HAB. He then unloaded the soil onto the plastic-covered floor of the room he had previously cleared out.

After some time, the majority of the room was covered in a thick layer of Martian soil. Subaru sat in the only remaining area that wasn't covered in soil as he took a small break.

"As I thought." Ram said quietly, a small smile adorning her face.

"No way…" Ricardo breathed out.

"Is he…" Julius started.

"Yes. I believe so. He's making a farm." Anastasia said with an amused expression.

Everyone's eyes widened at the intense project that Emilia's knight was working on.

"He can use the potatoes!" Petra shouted excitedly, bouncing up and down in her seat.

"Haha! My amazin' self told ya Cap'n was goin' to think of somethin'!" Garfiel said with a wide grin on his face.

He thirstily chugged a container of grape juice. "Fuck you Mars." Subaru spat out as he finished his drink.

A collective laugh rang out through the theater.

Garfiel, Ricardo, and Al were holding their stomachs due to how hard they were laughing. Anastasia and Crusch let out small giggles at the astronaut's antics. Priscilla remained silent, but kept a small smile behind her fan. Despite all his disgusting faults, she couldn't deny that this mongrel was amusing.

"You tell'em Big Bro! 'Fuck you Mars' indeed." Felt said agreeing with Subaru.

Emilia slightly pouted her knight's choice of words, but she still felt happy that her Subaru was still fighting hard to survive.

SOL 31

Subaru buried his shovel into the Martian soil that he had placed in the HAB. Using the shovel, he slowly began to create farming strips in the soil. A camera in the room recorded Subaru as he did this all over the room, while also keeping the strips even and uniform.

Subaru was then shown cutting open the silver bags that he had previously collected earlier. When he fully opened the bag, Subaru's eyes began to water and his stomach threatened to expel its contents.

"Ewwww!" the demihuman twins of the Iron Fang called out.

"W-What is Subaru-kyun doing?" a disgusted Felix called out.

"It must be important if he's going through all this trouble." Reinhard responded. While he himself couldn't think of what Subaru is trying to accomplish, he has faith that his friend is using the feces for something.

The overwhelming stench of the poop managed to get through Subaru's nose which was already covered with ear buds.

"Johanssen, Jesus." Subaru spoke out, still deeply disturbed by the smell.

Subaru then loaded the poop into another, larger, container of poop that consisted of himself and his various crewmates. He added water to the container to create a more viscous mixture.

Ram kept her face neutral to prevent everyone from seeing how impressed she was. "Why aren't you always this clever when you work in that mansion you scum." she said to herself.

Rem's mind also caught on to what Subaru was doing and her eyes lit up with excitement. "My hero truly is so smart!" She cheered.

People started to look at the blue maid with a bewildered expression.

"What? What do you me-" Felt started to ask.

"He's creating FERTILIZER!" Otto shouted in surprise as the realization suddenly dawned on him.

At the merchant's declaration, everyone's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. How could they not have seen it before? The practice of using manure as fertilizer wasn't exactly a rare practice in Lugunica. As a matter of fact, in some places it's relatively common.

"Haha! Guess all the high-tech mambo jumbo we've seen from the kid's world so far made us forget how to do things without some crazy machine doin' it for us." Ricardo laughed out.

Subaru gagged and struggled to keep himself from vomiting as he began to slowly mix the mixture of poop and water.

When he finally finished one of his most difficult endeavors since he was first stranded on Mars, Subaru began to work on cutting the potatoes his teammates had been saving. 'Hope they don't blame me for this one.' he thought to himself as he began to load the potatoes into a box.

When he finished, Subaru applied the water-poop mixture, which can now be considered as fertilizer, into the farming strips he created earlier. He then began to carefully plant the potatoes he cut into the soil and the fertilizer. He gently covered the potatoes with a small layer of soil and applied some water to where he planted the vegetable.

Subaru continued this process for several hours until the entire room was covered with small holes with potatoes waiting to grow.

"He's actually doing it." an impressed Crusch said as she gazed on the miniature farm Natuski has created.

"It seems truuuuuuuly well done. But Subaru is still missing one very impooooortant element when planting something." Roswaal said with a wide grin on his face.

Everyone's excitement slowly died down as they also began to realize what else was needed for every living thing to survive.

"He needs water." Otto whispered.

SOL 36

Subaru was laying down in his designated bed as the opening song of an old TV show was playing in the background.

His eyes were full of thought as he fiddled with a wooden crucifix with his left hand.

"The only problem is water." Subaru said out loud.

"I have created 126 square meters of soil. But every cubic meter of soil requires 40 liters of water to be farmable." Subaru's voice narrated as the real Subaru was shown loading large metal cylinders into a transport vehicle.

Those in the audience grew puzzled expressions as they observed what Subaru was going.

"What are you going to do Subaru Natuski?'' A confused yet intrigued Crusch asked with a sly smile on her face. She knew the astronaut had a plan, and she was excited to see what he was able to come up with.

"So I gotta make a lot more water..."

"Wait what?" Tivey questioned

"He's going to… 'make' water?" A deeply confused Reinhard asked

"Like with magic? I thought Big Bro's home didn't have magic?" Felt asked

"They don't, infact." Beatrice answered with a concerned expression. She was certain that her contractor didn't lie to her about his world not having magic. So what is Subaru thinking by saying he's going to 'make' water?

"Then how will Subaru create water if he is unable to perform some sort of water magic?" Emilia questioned, briefly glancing down at the sleeping knight beside her. He always said so many things that she didn't understand, but this must be one of the weirder ones.

"I thiiiiink all of our queeeetions shall be answered soon." Roswaal stated, also deeply interested in how Subaru can pull this off.

Subaru drove the HAB rover to the launchpad of where the MAV took off.

"Luckily, I know the recipe. You take hydrogen, you add oxygen, and you burn." Subaru explained to the camera as he began to cut bits of wood off the crucifix he was holding.

A confused silence filled the theater.

"A recipe? Like making a cake?" Mimi questioned, her young mind trying to make sense of Subaru's words.

"I think Subaru-kyun's isolation has affected him a lot more than we initially thought, nyan." A concerned Felix asked.

"This is bad Subaru! Your mind can't break at a time like this!" Emilia said frantically

"Calm down Emilia-sama. I don't think that this is the case here." Crusch said, trying to calm down the panicking half-elf.

"Indeed, Emilia-sama. There is no need to worry. Subaru-dono did say several other words in his previous statement as well." Wihlem said, pondering over the vocabulary that the young man used.

"What could those words possibly mean?" Juilus asked thoughtfully.

Good question. Al...

The one-armed knight immediately stiffened in fear. Oh shit. he thought

Will you do everyone a favor and explain what our dear Subaru is talking about. It should just be a little review of when you were back on Earth.

Al was sweating buckets. He didn't think that he would be put on the spot like this ever since he was transported to this world. He instantly felt like he was back in his class back in Japan and was being forced to answer a question he didn't completely understand. I thought I was done with all this bullshit. he thought angrily.

Everyone began looking at Al with expectant eyes, which only added to his nervousness.

"What does it mean Al-sama?" Petra asked with innocent and curious looking eyes.

"Aldebarean. You better not disappoint me." Priscilla all but growled out.

Now with his very own life officially on the line, Al had no choice but to do what he did a long time ago. Pull an answer out of his ass that sounds correct.

"W-Well. U-Umm. Y-You see…" he started

"Water is uhh… much more complicated than you guys might think. It's made up of these little balls called uhh… adams? No! They are called atoms! The words you heard our pal say: 'hydrogen' and 'oxygen'. These are the atoms that make up water. A-And when you combine them they create uhh… a m-m-molecule? Yeah, molecules! And those molecules help make water." Al stammered out nervously, hoping he got at least some of it right.

Not bad Al. You get an A for this assignment.

Al breathed out a large sigh in relief. A wave of nostalgia washed over him as he remembered the feeling of relief he felt when he passed a difficult exam back in school.

A small wave of polite claps came from a few members of the audience.

"Well done Al-san!" Reinhard said with a smile on his face.

"Tch. Why did you never provide me with this otherworldly knowledge before you useless jester!" an extremely irritated Priscialla said.

Shit, back to almost dying. Al thought frantically.

"I-It just never crossed my mind as all!" Al said.

"Advanced knowledge like this never crossed ya mind?" Anatasia questioned doubtfully.

Everyone else also began to once again turn their attention to the one-armed knight, except for Beatrice and Emilia. The two of them were glaring and pouting at the sleeping knight near them, upset that he didn't share this knowledge with them either.

"B-But it's not really advanced knowledge really! Almost everyone in my world knows about this!" Al said, trying to defend himself.

"WHAT!" Everyone shouted out.

"Y-You mean to tell me that the building blocks of water are…"common knowledge" in your world?" an exasperated Otto said with a shaky smile.

Indeed. Most of the teenagers in Subaru and Al's world are provided with this lesson.

At this, the screen changed from viewing Subaru, to an empty white screen. A second later, a large drawing appeared on the screen. The drawing consisted of a large red ball, and attached to it were two smaller, blue balls. The large red ball was labeled 'O', and the smaller balls were labeled 'H'.

Allow me to explain further. The 'O' you see in this diagram is oxygen, attached to them are the hydrogens, which are labeled as 'H'. Two hydrogens and one oxygen combine to create a single water molecule, or H20 for short. It's impossible for us to see these molecules with the naked eye, simply because they are way too small. However, when trillions of these water molecules are in the same space, they form what we see as normal water.

The singular water molecule in the screen began to multiply until it completely covered the white screen. The view then zoomed out to show a normal glass of water.

Everyone could only listen in awe at Bill Nye's explanation.

"The level of understanding that people from Subaru-dono's home have on the fundamentals of the world is astounding." An amazed and slightly intimidated Crusch said. She was once again reminded how intellectually inferior the people of Lugunica were compared to those of Earth.

"Indeed. It's almost unsettling how far back we are." Julius said as he thought of the information he had just received.

"W-Well, at least we now have a general understanding on what Natuski-san is doing to solve his water problem." Otto cut in. He too was also enthralled by the other worldly knowledge that he was given. He had no doubt that Earth was home to countless ideas that would change the merchant business for generations to come. However, he had more important things on his mind. That being the safety and well-being of his friend.

"Hell yeah! If Cap'n knows how to make dis water mall-eh-kewel thingy, den' he can use to survive!" Garfiel said proudly.

"Hmph! Of course Betty's Subaru has a deep understanding of these sorts of things, I suppose. He already has vast knowledge now, and he's clearly much younger than the version that we are witnessing on the screen, infact." Beatrice said proudly with a satisfied smile on her face.

"Yes! Our Subaru-kun is already amazing, and knowing that he has so much more room to grow makes Rem feel very excited to witness the man her hero will become." Rem said excitedly.

"Now, I have hundreds of liters of unused hydrazine at the MDV. If I run the hydrazine into an iridium catalyst, it'll separate into N2 and H2. And if I direct the hydrogen into a small area and burn it…" Subaru explained as he was shown doing various preparations for the coming ordeal.

His preparations included collecting the hydrazine from the MDV, setting up the iridium catalyst inside of the HAB 'farming' room, as well as several other mechanical tasks needed for his experiment.

"Hmm… I have no idea what this kid is doing but it looks like hard work!" Ricardo said as he tried to make sense of the mechanical tasks Subaru was doing.

"It's safe to say that Subaru's intellect and understanding in this sort of thing far exceeds our own. The best we can do is trust his judgment from now on." Reinhard said, completely putting his faith on his friend's skills.

"...Luckily, in the history of humanity, nothing bad has ever happened from lighting hydrogen on fire." Subaru laughed at his own sarcasm.

"NASA hates fire. Because of the whole 'fire makes everybody die in space' thing. So everything they sent us up here with is flame-retardant…"

"With the notable exception of Martinez's personal items." Subaru said with a smile as he showed the crucifix to the camera.

"What is that thing that Subaru is showing us?" Juilus questioned.

"It's a religious symbol." Al responded.

"Wait! So Subaru-kyun has been cutting up a religious symbol this entire time!" Felix asked shocked as he noticed Subaru removing wooden shavings of it.

Everyone else also had shocked expressions after learning the news.

"Subaruu that's bad!" Emilia chastised her knight.

"I agree. Religious symbols are sacred items that must not be tampered with." Julius said, his strong beliefs in the knightly code fuelled his distaste of the knight's actions.

"Well it's like anyone is there to stop him." Felt shrugged, not making a big deal of the whole thing.

"B-But Felt-sama I-" Reinhard tried to cut in, also hesitant of Subaru's actions

"Big Bro is clearly doing this for another reason other than destroying some religious symbol! And besides, Big Bro doesn't have that many supplies anyway!" Felt exclaimed while having complete faith in Subaru's actions

Felt's outburst caused everyone to somewhat reduce their distaste of Subaru's actions. After all, they witnessed how resourceful Subaru has been in this world and in Lugunica.

"I share Felt-sama's statement. Subaru-dono must work with whatever he has if he wishes to find his way home." Wilhelm said calmly

"I am sorry, Martinez. But if you didn't want me to go through your stuff you shouldn't have left me for dead on a desolate planet." Subaru joked as began to gather all of the wood shavings he peeled off.

"By the way, I'm figuring you're going to be okay with this, given my present situation." Subaru said to the crucifix. "I'm counting on ya."

"Hehe I'm sure He doesn't mind given what you're up against pal." Al said while laughing softly

Subaru was then shown finishing his preparations for his 'create-water' experiment.

Using two electrical cords, he lit the wooden shavings on fire to create a small, but stable flame. He then put the flame into a compartment on the top of the contraption he built. After properly sealing the container in front of him and making some last minute checks on all the parts of the machine, he took a deep breath and finally turned it on.

Turning on the machine caused the small flame Subaru previously lit to grow into a larger one. The machine made several sounds but it still maintained its stability.

Seeing this Subaru grew elated at his success. "WOAH!" He shouted

BOOM!

"Subaru!" Emilia shouted while covering her mouth with her hands

"No! Subaru-kun!" Rem shouted as she immediately stood up from her seat.

Beatrice once again tightened her grip on her contractor as her eyes widened in horror.

The loud sound made nearly everyone in the theater jump in fright.

"Wa da hell happen'!" Garfield shouted as he also stood up.

"He must've done something wrong when creating his machine." A worried Tivey said

The second after Subaru's premature celebration the entire machine exploded into a blazing inferno.

The force of the explosion threw Subaru several feet back as he collided with the wall behind him.

The next scene was Subaru gingerly sitting down at his desk in front of his computer.

He was still covered in debris, small cuts were seen on his face, and his hair was still smoking. He sat down on the chair and took a deep breath to try and calm himself down.

"So, yeah. I blew myself up." Subaru reported to the camera with a flat tone.

"At least he's taking in stride." Ricardo said, trying to ease the tension.

"Best guess, I forgot to account for the excess oxygen that I've been exhaling when I did my calculations…" Subaru explained as he picked pieces of debris from his hair

"Because I'm stupid."

"Ha! At least you finally acknowledge it Barusu." Ram said with a smirk

"B-But Ram-san do you even understand what Natuski-san is doin-" Otto started before he was stopped by a cold glare from the pink-haired maid.

"Brotto? Ya good?" Garfiel asked when Otto quickly turned away from the maid.

"N-Nothing! Just uhhh… you know… watching the screen. Minding my own business." Otto reasoned with a cold sweat coating his face.

"Subaru you're not stupid… all the time." Emilia said as she supported, then betrayed her knight in a single sentence.

"Um.. uh… I'm going to get back to work here… just as soon as my ears stop ringing." Subaru said. He flexed his jaw to try and correct the pressure in his ear to stop the annoying ringing.

Subaru, now dressed in more protective gear and his space helmet, slowly began to walk towards the now rebuilt machine he destroyed.

"Interesting side note, this is actually how the Jet Propulsion Lab was founded."

Everyone leaned in closer as they grew interested in discovering how Subaru's world managed to create such amazing machines.

"Five guys in Caltech were trying to make rocket fuel and they nearly burned down their dorm. And rather than expel them, they banished them into a nearby farm and told them to keep working. And now we have a space program." Subaru narrated as once again began his preparations.

"So they found it… by accident?" a confused Otto said with a hesitant smile.

"Innovation does come from the most unexpected places." Crusch said with her hand on her chin.

"Ha! Banishing those kids to a farm to keep working sounds like something Ana-bo would do!" A laughing Ricardo said

Julius gave a small smile at the comment. "While I wouldn't phrase it so casually, the act of allowing useful people to keep working instead of punishing them does seem fitting of Anastasia-sama. It is a testament of her mercy and resourcefulness." Julius said as he praised his candidate

Anastasia responded with a smirk and a wink. "Aww you guys are goin' to make me blush. But it is in the nature of efficient merchants to see the value in things. Even if it's not always what we expect." She stated, also fascinated by the short story provided by the astronaut.

When Subaru turned on the machine, everything happened like it did before it blew up. The machine whirled to life and the flame kept stable. "Ok." Subaru carefully whispered in his space helmet with a small smile.

After making sure everything was in order, Subaru resigned himself to bed for the day. Subaru was then shown sleeping after a hard day of building up a machine, blowing up the machine, and rebuilding the machine again.

The next day plastic covered walls of the 'farming' room was covered in morning dew. Subaru ran his hands over the plastic and smiled at his now, water-soaked hand.

"Woah! He did it! Subaru-sama did it! He made water!" An excited Petra said while bouncing up and down.

"The creation of water without the use of magic?" Roswaal whispered to himself. He was so shocked by the feat that he didn't even think to talk with his usual exaggerated accent.

H-He's actually doing it…. Al thought in disbelief.

"To be able to create water only using science… Subaru's world truly is fascinating." Reinhard said as he made small notes in a notebook.

Felt kept a massive grin on her face as she watched her Big Bro's accomplishments.

A time-lapse of the 'farm' room showed the soil slowly turning a darker shade as more water began to flow into the soil.

SOL 48

Subaru was shown doing his morning routine of getting breakfast and crossing off another day in his makeshift calendar. He checked if the machines in the HAB were in working order and began to clean his space equipment.

He then completed his outside chores such as fixing the solar panels and cleaning them off.

SOL 54

Subaru was in the kitchen and was preparing breakfast for himself. As he exited the kitchen, he took a quick glance at the 'farming' room and began to walk away to eat his breakfast.

However, as he was walking away, he stopped mid-step in the middle of the hallway. 'Did I just imagine it?' He thought to himself. He then slowly turned his head toward the 'farm' room.

"What did Subaru-kun see?" Rem questioned, slightly nervous that something bad happened to her hero's farm.

"Did somethin' mess up the farm?" Ricardo asked with a concerned expression.

"B-But Subaru managed to create water with his machine right? There's no reason why his farm should be failing." Emilia asked worriedly.

"Indeed, but like Subaru said at the beginning of the viewing, there are several other machines that must remain functional. If even one of those machines cease to function then…" Julius started.

"Subaru-kyun will die, nyan." Felix said as he nervously fiddled with the edge of his dress.

Everyone else watched up with held breaths. They knew something big was happening. Whether that "something" was beneficial remained to be seen.

He could barely contain his excitement as he quickly made his way back towards the room. He set his breakfast down on a nearby table with a loud bang as he practically forced his head to look into the room. His eyes scanned the room until they widened at something.

Subaru then opened the plastic layer covering the 'farm' room as he slowly made his way to a particular spot. His eyes never left what they were looking at.

He gently knelt down and smiled at what was in his 'farm' room. It was a small green sprout that was coming out of the Martian soil.

Everyone's jaws dropped at the sight of the green sprout.

"Dear Dragon…" A shocked Julius said as he started in awe at the green plan, the pen he was holding fell to the ground as he watched the screen

"Hmph! As if there was ever a doubt. Subaru is my contractor after all, I suppose." a proud Beatrice said as she lightly pushed her chest out.

"My hero truly is amazing!" Rem said with proud tears in her eyes. He can do it! Rem's hero will get through this alive!

"You always… do the most amazing things! My Subaru!" Emilia said with a wide smile as she hugged her knight's shoulder.

"Subaru does have a talent for accomplishing the impossible." Reinhard said with a proud smile.

"A truly momentous achievement Subaru-dono. One that I am sure shall be told for ages to come." A proud Wilhelm stated with a smile.

"Indeed Wilhelm-San. I believe that we have just witnessed one of the most legendary moments in this world. And Subaru Natsuki is the center of it." Crush said with a fond smile. She related this moment to when she witnessed the knight bring down the White Whale. Truly, Subaru Natuski, was a man who made dreams turn into reality.

Priscilla stopped fanning herself and stared at the green plant. She tried to conceal her amazement, but her wide eyes betrayed her true feelings. An amused smirk then appeared on her face.

Who knew that a disgusting dog such as this one can continue to please mineself. Priscilla thought to herself.

"Even when left with minimal resources, under impossible circumstances, he still found a way." a shocked, amazed, and slightly envious Roswaal whispered

"H-He truly did it." Anastasia said with wide eyes and red cheeks.

This must be what the Warden wanted us to see. Anastasia thought.

In the last viewing, Anastasia witnessed the horrible side effects that the technology of Natuski's world caused on the environment. She witnessed the technology she wanted so badly destroy several parts of the world. But in this instant, Subaru did not destroy anything, instead he created. He brought life into a planet where life should never grow, and he did it with nothing but his intellect and minimal resources. Such an act couldn't help but tug at the merchant princess's heartstrings. When put in the right hands, technology can accomplish the most amazing things.

Subaru very gently caressed the spout that was still moist with water.

"Hey, there." Subaru whispered to the living thing with a smile on his face.

The sight of Subaru's smile caused the hearts of several women in the audience to race. Most recently, a certain purple-haired princess.

So uhhh... hi?

Been a while eh? I'd like to make excuses like how I was too busy with university and life (which I was!) and that's why I couldn't update, buttttt I can't deny that there were times where I straight up didn't feel like writing. So, yeah, sorry.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by Earthlings! Hope you guys enjoyed and see yall in the next one.
